When he assigns homework he doesn't hardly ever want to give you the answers so that you can know if you got them wrong or right, he wasn't never really prepared or on time to classes and also he was very difficult to understand.
knows what he's doing in math,just poor at teaching others.doesn't explain well & when asked questions, answers something completely unrelated. spends way too long writing everything out on the board; doesn't seem to have control of his class or students.
This guy has no clue what he's doing in the class. He says that he doesn't give study guides because he is also a student and he doesn't have time to do that. I think that if you're a teacher than you should have time for your students! He can't explain simple things...seems confused. Poor Teacher.
This teacher does not teach. You learn in the class from other students. Be careful because if all answers on a test are written exactly how his are the answer is wrong. Does everything in his power to not explain anything. Has no regards for his students.
I thought he was a good teacher, but he had a hard time explaining things that some students did not understand. Never shows up for office hours. Easy tests though, he tells you exactly what to expect and study.
Probably the worst teacher I've ever had. He either doesn't know how to explain things, or he enjoys his students being confused. Although his random harlem shakes were entertaining to watch (make fun of), he is very uncaring, and confused.
i tried to stick with this guy but the class ended up teaching each other. although when i would go to his office he would help me. makes you feel dumb for asking a question
Chambers shouldn't still be teaching. He is never prepared and say's "I don't know" way to often. Even as a last resort, don't take his class!

He uses his position to empower his ego. I would not doubt it if he gets romantic with many of his students. This is supposed to be a math class, not a prostitution ring! I guess giving out good grades for "favors" is a good barganing chip. Not Cool!
Mr. Chambers, is a horrible math teacher, and is not helpful at all! He laughs in your face if you ask a question and always responds at you by staring at you like your dumb! I would not recommend him teaching to anyone who is bad in math and wants to learn!
He's in his mid 20's, Jamaican, and will burst into song at any moment. If you take this class expect to spent 70% of it in complete SILENCE. If you ask a question Mr. Chambers will stare at you for about 3-4 minutes (NO JOKE) without saying anything, sit down, sigh, then answer. but despite this i loved the class. he explains well and is helpful.
Don't pick this teacher. he is very rude. If you ask a question he stare at you for two min. befor he answers your question. He treats you like your stupid, he even said he was too smart to teach this class. If you want to learn math don't take his class.

The name "teacher" does not apply to this man. If you need to be taught, do not take his class; if you know it all already and it's easy for you, take it at your own risk. I feel like I've wasted an entire semester. Study guides are your only saving grace.

Mr chambers is a nice enough fellow, however if you have come to school to learn, this is not the teacher for anyone. He is not prepared, has no idea what structure is and causes more confusion than clarity. This man no harm but I as well have wasted a whole semester and will from now on base my decisions about instructors after checking this site.
I just read what all these other people wrote about Mr Chambers and they are full of crap!!! I took this class over the summer and got a 100 in the class!!! There were people that were not doing well in the class, but they brought it on themselves because they did not pay attention, show up, do the homework, or ask questions when they had a prob!!!
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IT IS A WASTE OF TIME. Does not prepare you properly for test quizzes, or even homework. The study guides are completly useless. Looks at you like a****when you ask questions, Which he doesnt have the answer to. He should probably be removed from his job immediatley before he SCREWS up someone elses gpa.

Learning should never be this frustrating. Extremely unpleasant to deal with. Students correct his mistakes constantly. Grades unfairly and tests on unfamiliar material to what he has tried teaching. Had to drop to save grade. Someone petition to get this guy fired. Guaranteed pain and stress.

Worst teacher ever! Every day he would come in throw him books on his desk, constantly look at the time...and ask "any questions" every 5 mins! He put us into groups so we could teach ourselves and throw us a packet to do and then afterwwars give the answers and ask "any questions" now how are you supposed to learn like that!
I think Chambers problem is he becomes exasperated too easily with college students taking low level math. Admittedly, there were students in the class who didn't care to try and blamed him for their failures. But he seems, to me, to be a young guy teaching in order to move on to something else rather than for the sake of teaching. He isn't a jerk.

This is one of the worst teachers I have ever had. The class itself is simple but he is really hard to understand. He makes people feel stupid and gets irritated easily. I think this teacher was great I liked his teaching style. He was a little unorganized, but he got assignments back to us when he said he would and taught the class well. I highly recommend him.
This teacher was "okay." If you're good at math you shouldnt have a problem in his class but run away asap if youre not. He isnt a very easy grader and hw isnt graded for completion. Okay this teacher is somewhat strange. Very unorganized, but all in all he knows what he is teaching. If you have no interest in math you would lose more interest if you take him because he teaches like you already know what he's talking about. But he is not a bad teacher after all.

horrible teacher, His accent is kind of strong but you can get used to it easily. As far as teaching goes, hes the worst. He will embarass studnts that he dislikes, and flirts with students he is attracted to. I dropped because he is rude, doesnt do a good job of teaching or explaining the material if you have a question about it.
These people are crazy. I'm awful at math and I managed to do well in his class. He's really helpful, he even goes out of his way to do late-night test reviews the nights before tests. He also has plenty of office hours and doesn't mind giving you extra help. He's also funny, keeps class interesting. I've taken him twice.

He's a great teacher. He's very animated and as long as you print out his notes AHEAD of time and pay attention during lecture instead of trying to take your own notes you'll keep up just fine. He is quite a character but it makes lecture more fun. If you ask things that aren't relevant he'll give you a quizzical look but he's doing it in fun.
He is a really good teacher! Had him for summer so it is supposed to be fast paced but it was really easy! We went a section a day and he explains everything very well. He is also really funny and likes to break out into a dance or a song so it is entertaining. Definitely take him!
Regardless of whether or not I enjoy math and/or are well with math, this particular professor makes it impossible for his students to pass. Dr. Chambers is unprofessional to say the least. Ok I really hate math!! but i really loved the class! He made everything so clear that made me wanna go to his class so ridiculously bad. I enjoyed and passed all of his tests, which are easy by the way. And got a B+ because i forgot to do some of the online homework,if you dont forgetand if you study for the test, you will do fine! higly recommend

Basically all the bad comments are from students who failed because they did nothing. As long as you do your homework and pass the tests, youll be fine. This is by far the easiest math class i have ever taken and i got A's on all 4 tests. Chambers if funny and entertaining, super easy, straight-forward class. if you fail you are prob really dumb.
seriously if you pay attention to his lectures and go along with it and work out the practice problems he does, you WILL make an A. intermediate algebra is something most people took freshman year of highschool, its not hard at all. Chambers is also really funny and weirdly amusing, i have recommended many people to take him.
I found the class to be very easy. He was more than helpful to assist even after class hours. He does have a sarcastic streak, but it makes the class much more enjoyable. YOU HAVE TO DO YOUR WORK! If you think you can just float in and not pay attention, you will see the result in your grade. Work in groups and do your homework: Get an A.
Mr. Chambers doesn't seem to enjoy teaching, maybe he's burnt out but he's too young for that. He seems hungover quite often..which only fuels his lack of interest in his students and the class. By the end of the class so many people are failing that he slacks a little on the cumulative final. He's funny, DON'T TAKE IF YOU'RE NOT STRONG IN MATH.
Chambers is probable good in teaching MAT 1033 but not MAC 1105, This guy is a joke, he is not funny at all and don't know what he doing in class, don't take for college algebra you will end up droping him or failing

DON'T DO IT! I am strong in Math but struggled to understand what Chambers was trying to teach. Is attitude comes across like he doesn't care. He knows how to do the work but does no know how to teach it. I don't think he even plans his lessons. My option is that he is incompetent at best and should not be teaching!

This was the worst math class that I have ever taken. I am not very good when it comes to numbers to begin with, but this guy just expects you to know it. All he did was dance and sing throughout the class and all it made me want to do was fall asleep. He was more concerned with his salsa dancing classes than he was with teaching this one. FAIL.
I'm sure he knows the information and just doesn't know how to teach it. He tells you attendance is not mandatory but it is, he tells you, you can use a calc but then tells you at the final that you can't, he says you can e-mail or call him but he doesn't e-mail you back & he has the wrong number down on the syllabus.
Im sure he is very intelligent and understands the subject himself, however he teaches at the speed of the fastest student, he is from jamaica and is very hard to understand sometimes, my biggest complaint is that his grading system is incomprehensible and even after the final I still dont know where I stand.
This guy isnt all that bad. If your not very strong in math(like I am) he can be very confusing and you'll find that the textbook will become your bestfriend. But if you really good in math you'll find him very easy. He gets off topic a lot and can be very confusing at times. Ask Q's, do your homework and do all the extra credit he offers.

He is really cool, and will help you with anything if you ask. Somewhat difficult to understand sometimes but definately a good teacher. His bad ratings are probably from people who didnt do their hw. You have to do the work or you wont get a good grade!
He can be a little hard to understand sometimes but only when he gets excited about a problem. Attendance and doing your homework is a must. You can still pass the class doing mediocre on the tests if you do the extra credit offered.
Bob is a very dedicated professor. I have had him for both 1033 and 1101 now, and can recommend him to anyone that is not afraid to actually do their homework. His grading system is very amicable and swings towards generous. He makes a lot of jokes, but in spite of what people think, wants everyone to do well in his classes.
Ok, to fail any of his classes you must literally be stupid! Every lab assignment is stuff that is on the test! He is hilarious and entertaining which helps while sitting through a math class. I got an A in moth intermediate and college algebra and I am transferring to UF this fall. Definitely take him!!!
Don't take this teacher! He is very hard to understand and very lazy. He doesn't care about your grade and his test are all short answer that are impossible. I have withdrawn from both of his classes I took.
Okay i don't want to say his class is horrible because its really not. He does however suck at teaching. Hes very lazy. If you do all the homework and extra credit then you should do fine on his tests. Attendance isn't mandatory. If you really want to learn and aren't good at math i don't recommend him in all honesty.

I took him for intermediate algebra and college algebra. This is JUST algebra, people, not calculus. Both classes were super easy and if you pay attention and do all the homework you will receive an A. I got A's in both classes and I am transferring to UF this fall. Take him!!! & He is hilarious!

He does not have a clear grasp on the subject. The class is hard to teach for him because he just has to second guess every move he does. He also makes fun of students when they answer wrong. Just don't answer the wrong answer in his class. Also, if you ask a question, on second thought just go to the math lab or get a tutor.

I don't think he understands statistics, so how can he be teaching it? I have heard he is great as a tutor and does a lot of tutoring on campus so maybe one on one he is ok. I am always confused after listening to him.
You kind of have to have a prior knowledge of the material. He is very fast, and isnt really clear when he answers questions. I did well but i like math, but if i werent actually interested i would be in a little bit of trouble.
You must really have a lot of time for this class. When he explains certain things you may not get it. But if you go to his office hours you will understand things better.
Please do not take this class unless you plan on teaching yourself, and constantly going to the lab. We had a guy walk out on the first lecture he gave because you cannot understand what he is talking about.

DO NOT TAKE...GAP killer. Chamber's class was honestly highly confusing, a third grader could do a good job. At the end of the semester the class had 4 students. Tests are ridiculously hard, he doesn't listen to students for suggestions and feels highly superior, in other words "he's never wrong". Take at your own risk
WORST! This teacher does not like teaching, tends to go off topic, and does not understand the concept behind college algebra. Often times this teacher would ramble random pop music lyrics and make you feel stupid if you ask him anything. I literally had to drop him mid semester because I was so far behind. Not recommended, ever.
This professor is not at all what I expected. He does not teach, just goes quickly through Powerpoint slides and does 1 example. He then asks us to work a problem while he sings & snaps his fingers & dances. Very annoying and distracting since we have to do the work on our own.
Fun class despite what everyone else thinks. He's more laid back which allowed me to learn more. Would have got an A had i studied for the exam

Doe snot teach. Talks wayyy too fast like another language. I basically taught him math throughout the semester because he has no idea what he is doing. I teach myself everything.
He talked too fast and would always get off the subject. We used MyMathLab and homework was NEVER opened when he said it would be. He said he would drop some hw grades, but did not and used the MyStatLab grade which was inaccurate. He would get confused while teaching something and all the powerpoints had errors.
He is funny but really random. Didn't get much help from him, but for me, it was an easy class. Hearing my other friends math professors, he sounds better than most, but he's not the best. Just an average silly professor. Just make sure you are able to teach yourself from the MyMathLab and you should be good.

Terrible teacher, I would not recommend this teacher. Take a good stats teacher, it's important for your future if you are a business major. He really doesn't teach and goes off on tangents. I took his class and there were only 12 people at the start, 3 at the end. He also refuses to help you and makes you learn whatever you need on your own.

Mr.Chambers is a cool dude! I Loved his class! One thing though, he talks really fast I would not recommend this class to people who struggled with Algebra in high school. Dont be afraid to ask questions, he will help you .

Chambers is a fabulous teacher! I took him for Topics in Math and waiting until he was teaching STATS to take him. Stats is a different kind of math than i was used to and he was more than happy to spend extra time when we had questions. He tutors at the downtown campus in the afternoon which is a great resource if you're falling behind.
Really fun guy who keeps you laughing. Will stop everything to go back if you're having issues. Took his class for Summer B and even though it was insanely fast, he managed to teach everything without leaving people behind.
He was very helpful, and funny. He cares about each student and tries to assist everyone to learn and know the materials. Will stay after class to help you, emails and answer your questions. He knows what he is teaching and takes pride in his profession.
This dude should teach dancing because that's about the most you might get out of his class worse math professor ever stay away and see if he teaches word dance instead
If you can help it, pick another teacher. Chambers is very unclear with his words and expects you to know the material in about 3 words of jibberish. He likes to distract the class by making noises and singing. I had to teach myself statistics at home-what's the point of class?? Good luck if you're stuck with him! Be prepared to study, a lot.
This teacher was the worst teacher I've had at Santa Fe. I would not recommend. Ask a question and he looks at you like you're stupid. If you want to learn anything about stats, I highly recommend taking a different professor.
Chambers replaced our prof. halfway through the semester. He had big shoes to fill and fell short. He's hard to understand and didn't pick up where we left off so we were lost all semester. He's always very unhelpful (I don't think he answered a single question) and teaches math by lecture and assigns NO practice problems. Math takes practice y'all
Chambers didn't know what class he was teaching for the first two meetings. He never answers questions thoroughly & he makes you feel very stupid for asking them in the first place. The students do all the work themselves- all the worksheets, notes, and HW are from MyMathLab. It was hard to come to class because he made it seem useless to be there.

If you aren't a fast learner or willing to teach yourself the material, do not take this professor. He rushes through the material and when you ask to go over it again he get frustrated and says "meet with me after class." Goes over class time everyday and makes it impossible to meet with after class since he has one coming in as you are going out.
Giving lectures with food in his mouth, calling out and embarrassing students in front of the entire class... Inappropriate and unprofessional. Be prepared to teach yourself the course content on your own time. Be prepared to fail exams, as they do not correlate well with the content from MyMathLab.
Unfortunately, if you don't have countless hours to spend OUTSIDE of class to learn the material, don't choose this professor. Don't voice that you don't understand something either, because he will get upset and embarrass you in front of everyone. Also, pop quizzes are given regularly & always at the very end of class!
Long story short, if you do what your asked you will be fine! The entire class worth of homework and quizzes are given up front allowing all the time needed to get done. Class is great cause you go over everything important and great prep for tests. For anyone that says he unclear just ASK question! Great teacher and id take again!
Terrible! He is not orginized at all. Looks like he doesnt get this class serious, cause he is so relaxed and unrespectful. He s eating and putting his hands on our handouts and give them to us! I cant stand that but i have to take this class, so there is nothing to do! Take someone else if you can.
If you don't show up then you might as well know you have an F. He continues teaching lessons. Even though you have an exam upcoming. Granted all of his tests are basically any homework sent home and online work. Oh yeah think you have free time? Not with this class. You have multiple assignments per week that are due.
He rushed through all of the lectures and if you ask a question he just tells you to meet him outside of class and will not slow down for anyone. You get tons of HW! Be ready to spend all of your free time doing handouts and My Math Lab. Overall expect to teach yourself and create meetings outside of class time.
The guy does not know how to do certain Trigonometry work, much less teach it. Our tests contain things that werent in lecture. Also he speaks at 90mph with an accent at mumble tone, so good luck being able to learn like that. Within the first few weeks more than half the class withdrew. More than half the class withdrew within a couple weeks.
He's the worst professor I have ever had at Santa Fe. He gives out practice exams for each exam BUT when he gives you the exam, it feels like he searched for the hardest questions. In class he makes countless mistakes which noticeably frustrates the class, his students correct his mistakes, and it surprises me that he even passed college algebra.
Professor Chambers is excellent. He's simple to understand, brings diversified culture to the professorship, utilises quality materials, and is sure to bring success to the mathematical understanding. I recommend him particularly because his awareness of the needs of students creates an atmosphere where he makes all the students passers.

This class was easy if you stay on top of your work. There is weekly work but you really only have to go to class on the first day and on test days. If you do go to class, he is willing to help. If you want an easy A I would take this class.
Most of the work in the class is easy, and can be done from home, but Courtney is really good about answering questions if you have trouble with something

I enjoyed the class and prof but if you're looking for a class/prof that's going to lecture or teach this isn't for you. Everything is taught by doing assignments online. there is little to no reason to come to class besides taking quizzes and exams. Easy A.
The class I took, CGS100, is an online based class, so there wasn't much interaction with Prof. Chambers, he was mostly there to proctor. The only real reason to show up to class would be on quiz days, as quizzes are locked behind a password. Although, Prof. Chambers is very quick to help a student in need, and seems to care for his students.
It was an easy class and easy to pass. just d you work and you will do fine.

definitely the easiest class I've ever taken. if I hadn't slacked off it would've been an easy 96% +. Everything that was due for the entire semester was on Canvas and could have been done ahead of time as all of the 'lectures' were online.
A very good Professor for this type of class. Knows how to use office programs and is happy to help anyone in need. Charismatic, likes to poke fun at students and overall entice a good time. Excellent professor.
Professor Chambers is a very engaging instructor, who I found to be very helpful. The class itself is an easy A as long as you keep up to date on the multiple homework assignments. I personally would take him again.

Professor Chambers is a very good teacher. The class is a very easy one. Just do the work and you will pass the class. I recommend to take this class.
Very hard to get a hold of. I'm talking expect well over a 24 hour wait for a response via school email. Gives out his cell phone number for text/ calls as well and will never respond there. Terrible organization. Many assignments and tests put up late. Passwords incorrect and deadlines made more stressful by his lack of organizing.
Professor Chambers was one of the most hilarious teachers I have ever had! He is so caring and wants the best for his students. If you have the chance to take him, do it! Just be prepared to work for your grade because there are a lot of assignments, but they are extremely easy. Take his class!
Stupid easy class! Anyone who leaves a bad review for this class or for Professor Chambers is just LAZY!! HE IS AMAZING!!! You can work ahead and he will even let you test early if needed. I finished all assignments ahead of time with absolutely no problem. This class is easy, the curriculum is truly useful, and Professor Chamber is Great!
I had him for CGS1821 and CTS1131 and when I say DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASSES I mean it. I dont know how he has positive reviews maybe there is a clone but the version I had was terrible. He does not know how to teach, he is always behind, late on grading, no communication, I will never take another class of his again for as long as I live. Good Luck...
