She is a really good instructor. Very nice and very helpful. If you are not a good speech giver now, you should be by the end of the semester. She makes class very enjoyable and makes delivering speeches fun and enjoyable even if you are shy or timid. I would take her for any speech class I had to take.

Come to class, pay attention, and prepare your speeches and you will get an A. It's impossible not to pay attention she is the cutest teacher at TCC. Quizzes are not difficult and tests aren't bad. Reccomended.

i took her in fall 08 and it was my first semseter of college, i was nervous haha but she does not make you feel weird at all when giving speeches. and she grades really easy not hard at all. the tests are even common sense. take herrrr i got an A and didnt have to go to class everyday yuuhhh thats how i like it! im sure she is still the same now..

She is a GREAT professor! I enjoyed coming to her class a lot. You don't even need the book for her class, all you have to do is pay attention and take notes and you'll do fine. She's very understanding and replies back to emails asap. If you miss out on class, all you have to do it communicate with her and she'll help you out as much as she can.

Overall pretty easy class. Took oNline. Had to go to campus for two mandatory speeches. Ton of assignments due for the semester but easy enough. Don't look for 100 percent grade on your speeches though - she critiques those like crazy! I lost points because " she could tell I was nervous". Easy A in the class!!

A very beautiful and awesome teacher. She is very clear, direct, makes you feel comfortable and confident. Giving speeches might be tough for most people, but it was very helpful and gave you skills to use in the real world. It was a fun class, look forward to every minute of it. This class helped me with my career and communication skills.

I took it online so presenting the speeches are mandatory. You don't give the speech you don't pass, but that's district policy.

I am currently taking her and have learned a lot of life skills that will help me! The material is easy to understand, and it's not hard to earn an A, but you do need to go to class to get the most out of it. Not coming to class gives her a bad perception and won't help your grade.

This might be long but if you really want the truth, I give it: She is an amazing prof. Her notes are clear, and she is so helpful. You can't pass her class without doing the 2 speeches but she makes it easy and comfortable for you. I'm taking her now and I recommend her to people who are great at speech or bad! Good luck!

She is very helpful!! She grades fairly and gives very clear expectations. Assignments help you learn about yourself and how you can apply the information. Test/quizzes are a little difficult, so while the class is fun and assignments aren't bad, the tests/quizzes can get you if you don't review the information. You will learn A LOT!

very nice lady, checks email every day, posts lots of reminders, a couple extra credit opport., like 4 speeches, 4 journal assign., study the site she gives you for the quizzes,etc. (don't need book), I wanted to fall asleep, but it's mostly common sense anyway, take notes, makes you comfortable with speaking in front of class, got an A - RECOMMEND

I took Business and Professional Communications course online. Professor was amazing. I do not like public speaking but did really good on the two speeches we had to do over the semester. She gives 2-3 short assignments every week. Quizzes and Final were from the book. Instructor is very organized and very nice person. Love this class.

Easy and fun class. 1st day starts with an ice breaker learning names. Notes on power point. Easy quizes, only 15 questions. Really easy speeches, 4-6 mins long. She makes sure you have everything correct before giving speech. She's really nice and helpful. Answers to emails pretty quick.

One day in class I was feeling ill and I guess she notice I was not my usual self , so she took the time out of her day to email me and check on me. So caring. She responds to her email fairly quick. Great Professor! If you are nervous about Speech, don't be, Kopecky makes the class fun and will get you to warm up to presentations. You also get to learn a lot about yourself and others in this class. My Speech class and I are very close and have become good friends with one another because of her.

Great teacher! Overall an easy class. Assignments are usual and all known ahead of time. Only a few quizzes/test but none of them are tough. There are 2-3 main speech presentations. But she gives you all the info you need to know. Participation really matters and can save you by being your extra credit.

She uses the book to go over powerpoints so you honestly don't need it, try your best on your presentations and practice dont be nervous talk normal and watch your time. She gives clear and helpful feedback!

Courtney Kopecky is one of my favorite professor's I will ever take. Her feedback on papers and speeches are tremendously helpful. I'm not sure if the class will be the same but I had to do 2 Speeches and 1 Group Speech. These speeches are easy if you're passionate about what you're presenting. 10/10 would recommend.

Kopecky is awesome! If you have to take a speech class choose her. She's funny and takes the time to get to know her students as well as come up to each of our tables to talk to us. She is very open minded when it comes to speech topics too.

She makes you come out of your comfort zone and be open with everyone plus she makes you interact with your classmates and grow with them. Easy grader. About 4 quizzes, I think only 2 tests. 3 news analysis and 3 journals, I believe. I love reading her comments on what I turn in because she is so encouraging. 2 speeches and 1 group speech. I never fret much about her assignments because she's an easy grader. Really like that she makes you get to know classmates but didn't feel cheesy.

She is nice, easy grader, but she is very strict about time. My presentation had been scheduled at 8:00. However, I came around 8:05, due to traffic jam. I got 50% of my presentation's grade. Tests are not too difficult or easy. Some questions are in book, but some are not.

Honestly, she's an amazing professor!!! It was an 8am class and usually I dread going to class at 8am but she just makes it so much fun!! And I loved my classmates! Mrs. Kopecky is a nice teacher. She actively responds to her emails and also has a course schedule which you can print to visualize and keep track of the class. This is especially helpful during these times of virtual learning due to COVID-19. There will be projects and textbook readings but they are not difficult.

I didn't think I'd do well in this class because I'm not good with public speaking but I finished with an A+. There are a lot of assignments, they open on Sunday and are due on Monday and Wednesday every week. We had 4 videos to record, 2 tiny and quick and 2 big and important speeches. She gives clear instructions so you can easily score high!

if you need to take a speech class TAKE THIS ONE. The professor is such an easy grader. There are 2 individual speeches and 1 group speech. Easy A if you show up.

This is my first semester at TCC and in college and this class has been my favorite one so far. It's easy to make friends. The teacher actually teaches. The only criticism I have is that you're going to feel under prepared for your paper tests.

Professor Courtney makes this class engaging and manageable. Attendance is important, but the speeches are straightforward. unstuck AI was a great study tool alongside the textbook-free course.
