i took him for math 095 and am now taking him for 098.he is an awesome teacher.i got a b in his class.the hardest thing about his class is that most of your grades are based on quizes but he still gives you 10 percent on participation and attendence. he drops your lowest test score. he reviews everything from the class before in the next class.

I just finished this class. I haven't taken Algebra is almost 20 years. He went over the homework, even before the tests. He was always available for questions and in his office when he said he would be. Show up & do the homework.

You are lucky if you get Courtney Reese. He is a great teacher who is SO HELPFUL!! His class was easy, he was there to help, always let us out early, and he was fun. If you take a class at that level, try to get him.

I took Mr reese last year, i thought he was great, barely any homework, you really just have to pass the tests he gives, he is very helpfull and will go over anything as much as you need until you understand it.

Best teacher EVER!He wants all his students to pass!He teaches you the easy way out and just wants you to understand the simpliest way possible. He is late sometimes so usually the first half of class is gone by the time he starts teaching.Do your homework and show up to class and you should pass without a doubt but make sure you study for tests.

He barely gives extra credit but he does take his time going over problems that you do not understand. Not much of a fun teacher but he tries to help you the best he can. And he lets you make up tests but no retakes.

I love Proffessor Reese I am currently taking his class right now.He explains things very well and gets straight to the point. He makes math so much easier for me. If u are looking to learn the easy way take him. If ur looking for a free ride then his class is not for u. Tests are pretty easy and gave lots of xtra credit.

He's pretty easy going teacher. But you got to keep your attendance and if you are going to miss the class make sure you tell him before hand. He's pretty calm and easy going teacher. MUST take him.

I recommend those of us who are dummies in Algebra( no pun intended) to take his class. Just attend his classes, turn in your notebook, always show that you are trying, go to tutoring, pray... and you will pass.

mr. reese is literally the greatest teacher i've ever had. senior year in high school i fail adv. algebra thinking i would do the same in 095 but no he made everything sooo easy and understandable. a lot of times i thought it was wrong because of how easy it seemed when he taught it and how quickly i would understand and retain the new material.

I feel like I learned more in my math 098 class than in any previous math class. He makes sure everyone knows what is going on. Not a boring class. Very friendly and patient. You get hw every day but it isn't a lot. Really goes the extra mile so his students pass his class. Highly recommend if you are struggling in the subject.

Take him!!! We had 5 test total one take home and one test he will drop. As long as you do the homework you will pass the test. No calculator are allowed except on the final. He like to talk and tell stories during class which will give you a break for math. This teacher really wants you to pass and do well in life.

I hated math, and it was a difficult subject for me until signed up for his class. He's very funny and very clear. In high school, exponents were a nightmare for me but I finally learnt exponents easily! Quizzes are extra credit for the big tests, homework is also extra credit. Go to class and if you're serious about passing you'll pass.

Mr. Reese is by far the most amazing Math teacher. He should be cloned. He drops your worst test score, the quizzes are extra credit points and all his explanations are understandable. You need the book for homework, no calculators are allowed and no cell phones as well. Show up to class.

He's a good teacher. Just wants to pass all his students. If you show up and do the work, you're good to go. He drops your lowest test grade and gives out a lot of extra credit opportunities. He does have a no calculator rule which if i knew that would have been a deal breaker. (I need my calculators) But in his class i learned not to rely on it.

Mr Reese is an old school teacher.. He demands respect and is very fair.. He's here for students to pass and continue on with their lives.. This was my 3rd time taking this class and I got a B. Mr. Reese was an amazing professor! Always kept the class entertained throughout his lectures; it wasn't boring like most math lectures are. He was VERY CLEAR on the subject & if it wasn't clear he would explain the material in another way. Homework is everyday. Tests are multiple choice but quizzes were not. Take his class if you struggle w/math!

If you struggle with math, this teacher is highly recommended. He really cares about his students. If he's getting a bad rating it is probably because the students are bad. He doesn't like students on their cell phones or not participating. Best teacher ever. Wish I knew about him before taking 098.

He gives you what you give him. If you care and participate he will do everything he can to get you that good grade. He also makes sure you learn the material for real life and not just to pass the test. I have one math class left to take and i am waiting till the spring because he does not teach it in the fall.

Mr. Reese is a great teacher. ive never been good at math ive always been a c average math person and i passed his class with an A. Plenty of time for quizes and tests, sometimes you work in groups or one person. any questions you have you can ask him. he never makes you feel stupid. he helps you until you get it.

I took his summer class and it was the most chill math class ever. If you hate math, he will definitely make you like it! mth 141, Such a chill professor. Hw is extra credit, he doesn't use canvas but he is clear and makes it easy to understand. Notes are EXACTLY what's on the quizzes and the quiz is half of what's on the exams. He is fair and provides extra credit opportunities. He is understanding and workable. Definitely take him!!

He was very chill and cared about his students. The only thing that sucked was that he didn't use canvas so you don't know your grade till the last day of the semester. Quizzes are done with the class which is good and the tests were pretty easy. Just take good notes and do your homework (its extra credit but it boosts your grade a ton).

Had him MTH-120 fall 2023. PROS- he's a very good professor in the sense he's very laid back, homework is optional for extra credit, he is super easy on grading, and he rounds up. CONS- you take 3 quizzes, three tests a final and those are your entire grade, the whole class is a lecture, and you wont know your grades till the end of the semester.

I actually had professor Reese at Olive-Harvey college in 2014 for Math 99 and he was easily the best math teacher I have ever had. He taught math in a way that I had never been taught it before, he literally made it so easy I was never worried about any quiz or test because I thoroughly understood math because of him. I want to thank him so bad!

Professor Reese is a laidback instructor who makes the material engaging. Homework is optional for extra credit, and they grade generously. While the class is lecture-heavy, Unstuck ai helped me stay on top of the rapid pace and succeed in the course.

If you want the easiest A you've ever gotten in a math class, take Mr. Reese. All homework is extra credit that goes towards your tests (up to 10 extra points), his lectures are actually amazing and very clear. He's also very friendly, relatable, and hilarious. I HIGHLY recommend taking him for any math class you're planning to take!

honestly don't understand the low reviews. yeah we had to get the textbook (literally was a penny) and he selects certain pages to do for homework WHICH IS EXTRA CREDIT. he sometimes does class quizzes and is honestly overall the easiest professor ever. 100/10 teacher,So many extra credit options,Always makes sure you understand the material before he moves on. I took the course in the summer, so it was 8 weeks instead of16 weeks in a normal semester & the class still didn't feel rushed. He is very clear on his expectations, extremely helpful especially to those who are not good at math. Recommend
