Tests are very tricky. Make sure to do your homework perfect, pay attention in class, participate and regardless of test scores, you should slide by with a B, but you have to show that you're understanding the material, otherwise he won't help you.

If you study and do the homework, you will be fine. Makes the class entertaining and relates problems to real life. Labs help a lot. His tendency to go off subject is not an annoyance...more like a break during some intense lectures. He is very enthusiastic about physics and is always there to help.

Voehl is an awesome teacher and really enthusiastic about his work. He is very willing to help students learn, he just doesn't take a lot of crap (understandable). I would recommend him highly, but suggest not slacking off.

Mr. Voehl is a good professor. Physics is a very hard class so you have to be dedicated and willing to work to take this class. Take the advise he gives to study and you will do good in the class. He is very willing to help whenever you need it. He dislikes lazy people and people who come late to class(very much).

Write down everything this guy writes up on the board! I got to use my notes and textbook on all the tests, but if you don't write down the problems and notes he puts on the board, your notes and probably your book will be useless.

Good teacher, goes a little fast in class, but is more than happy to review anything after class is over. He still allows you to use your notes and text book for the tests.

A bit too easy in the sense that the way he teaches, you dont really learn as much about Physics as you could've. Do homework u'll do good on test. Allowed all notes and formulas (ex. of how u arent forced to learn as much as you could). Kinda creepy weird personality. Happy to answer questions after class for u. this was a great class if you came. He goes over any homework and if you're smart enough to copy it down you can get a grade just for having it at the end of the semester. He is available to you after class and by email. His test are lecture by lecture and not group. Just be there on time.

Currently in his class. He is fast passed but he presents a problem from several different angles so that all types of learning styles are accomodated. If you are a MATURE studene than this is a prof. for you. He won't tollerate high school behavior. So grow up and learn something!

Great instructor. He creates a super learning environment as he does not like disruptions in class. Stay on his good side by coming to class every day and doing your homework.

Currently in college physics. The course is hard, but it's physics so there you go. My goal to be an MD and heard he is the instructor to take as mcat exams are hard. He makes the course interesting, and does talk about himself, usually about what terrible golfer and surfer he is. I perceive this to be a way of giving us a much needed mental break.

I gave Prof Voehl all 5s to make up for the idiots who can't learn and take it out on the teacher. Prof Voehl is a GREAT teacher. He gives you 6 of the 20 test questions every day before the test. He gives you all the equations needed to solve all the problems. Easy class, and I've never taken or wanted physics.

I?m taking this professor for Earth Science. Fun course as he relates information to the local area. There?s really no homework, as long as you get the notes in class every day. I have an ?A? so far and am enjoying the course!

I took PHY1020 with him. You use his book (cheaper) and he drops your lowest test score. He makes the physics easy to understand and if you write down everything he does, you'll pass the tests no problem. He is an **** and you must be on time to class EVERYDAY, but he is an easy teacher. He gives you answers to the tests.

Professor Voehl is an outstanding Physics teacher. He passion for physics reminds me of a previous teacher I had years ago in high school whose passion was the same.

I just finished College Physics I, and I am so happy! I FINALLY get it! Professor Voehl tied everything together using something called synergistic physics (which is his new book). My first A in physics!. It was so wonderful having a professor who completely understands the material and presents to us way that's easy to comprehend!

I enjoyed Professor Voehl's physics course. He knows his physics, can write with either hand and does math in his head. Impressive! He cared about me as a student and was always there to help me. He could tell I was trying and was very patient with me. I only need one physics course for my major, but I hope to take more courses from him.

I had to work my butt off in this class and it paid off. Practice makes perfect, do all the work required (work book and online problems) you will grade well on the tests. There was a person in the class who scored in the 60's on the first two test and ended up with 80 and 90's at the end of the semester. I always looked forward going to class.

I've taking him for to semester and he is by far one of the best teachers i've come across. if you do your work and come to class you'll pass i ended up with b's in his class i would of neva thought i would get it. i never understood physics till i took it with him. awesome teacher.

took Intro to physics with him. He is the most entertaining and well organized teacher I've come across in IRSC. He can be tricky as far as test questions but after the first exam, you get it. Expect to pay attention acutely, he wastes no time, but you will actually understand it. He runs a tight ship! You'll laugh, he will be your favorite.

Professor Voehl in an excellent instructor, but he's not for everyone. He is entertaining, which is good for a physics prof. He know's his stuff and is a stickler for attendance and work habits. Lazy students, or students with attitude (bad) need not apply. Most helpful Prof I've had.

I'm currently in college physics II, preparing for taking MCATS in a month. It's a summer course so there's a lot of material in a short time. The course is meticulously structered and Professor Voehl is demanding, but helpful. I appreciate the opportunity to have him as my instructor.

Fast paced, meticulous, informative, helpful, enthusiastic are just a few words to describe this well educated man. This was the most difficult course I had ever taken. Do your homework problems, and pay special attention to the examples his gives in class, he sometimes puts those on the exams to see if you're doing your work and paying attention! I seek, and receive help from Professor Voehl every day! Prof appreciates the work I put into his class.

Professor Voehl gives excellent presentations. He covers the chapters quite comprehensively. I enjoy his examples and his lab/problem manual brings physics into the real world. He is the self proclaimed "Dr. House" of physics and notices everything. It would be tough to pass this class without doing your homework.

Thought this is going to be a hard class, but the professor's teaching method was simple enough, for a novice to understand. Helps students before, after and during office hours. Very strict with his rules, and won't stand for disturbance in his classes.

He is a great instructor. At first I was nervous about his class because I thought it was going to be hard but then I grew to love it. He made it fun,and easy to understand. If you write down all of his notes from the board, and do all the home works there is no way to fail. He is very serious about tardiness, so do not be late for class.

Professor Voehl makes physics understandable. We did a lab a few weeks ago where we had to calculate the distance projectile would fly at an angle. I was so surprised! Professor Voehl says physics works! He's right! Thanks Prof for helping me understand such a difficult subject.

This is the best online class I have ever taken. Professor Voehl's course is very straight forward. You need to read the book and do the assignments. I does take some time. I don't really like physics, but I do a little more now. The practice tests really helped a lot. The exams come straight out of the homework and practice tests.

I'm finishing up a night physics class with Professor Voehl now. Interesting professor. He lets us out early to help struggling students and always stays well after the class is supposed to ends to help us. Excellent instructor. Professor Voehl is the first teacher I have had that actually gives real life examples to the subject he teaches. He may talk about himself, but it's usually referencing a physics example that applies to the whole class. Do all homework. He gave me extra help when I asked for help in the math class I was taking.

Not an easy A so you will have to work for your grade a little bit. Make sure to pay attention in class to the examples he gives because they will usually show up on future tests. Doing your homework/lab book helps. Good professor who I would take again.

Just finished College Physics I online (6 week course). Wow, it was tough, but Professor Voehl was always there to help me. You study by yourself for sure, but his course offered lots of help with videos and instructional aids. Still tough though. If you study and keep up with it you'll be okay. Otherwise take him for lecture, he is great!

DONT BE LATE !!!! If you're late by 1 minute he marks you absent. Tests are based on hw problems and examples he writes on the board. Lab book counts as a test grade make sure it's neat how he wants it. I would deff take him again.

I finished my third physics course with Professor Voehl last semester. The first 2 were lecture and last one was online. I scored A's in all three. Physics is a lot of work, but Professor Voehl was very helpful. He answered my emails really fast. Online was a challenge because I could not attend his wonderful lectures, but was my only option.

Professor Voehl is very strict but he is really a fair instructor. He is a nice guy if you come to class on time and do your work. He was very helpful. Professor even burrowed me one of his calculators for an exam when I forgot mine at home. Physics is very hard for me and I achieved a good grade with his help. Would take him again.

If you are looking for an easy A in an online physics class, this is the guy to take. He didn't give any due dates, and everything only used the basic equations. On tests you get a formula card, and a lot of the questions are the same as the questions he uses in the online quizzes.

Physics is a difficult subject, so no matter who you have it may be difficult. But, with Voehl, it is easier. He is probably one of my favorite teachers at IRSC. He really helps you and prepare you for his tests. He also provide real life situations to help you understand. At long as you try and has good attendance, you will pass.

Prof Voehl seems excessive and rude at first, but he isn't at all! He just likes to be well respected and wants to have his class taken seriously. If you are one that can't make it to class before the time your suppose to be there you will be marked absent, after 2x he starts deducting points from final grade. Must put in work & practices.

Respected and caring is Professor Voehl. He has zero tolerance for class disruptions. He doesn't allow a student to be tardy or disruptive. I found it took me a while to get used to him, but I really liked his class environment. It is easy to learn in his classroom. He always answered questions, and was very fast with email response.

Professor Voehl has very strict rules. He does not ever change his rules. Prof does math in his head which is impressive. I needed a lot of help so I took him. He even let the class out a little early to help students like me. After the course was over I still didn't like physics that much, but I sure appreciated the professors efforts.

Do not show up a minute late. Professor Voehl was an amazing professor. He has very strict rules that are easy to follow. If you follow these rules, and DO YOUR HOMEWORK, you will have an easy time getting an A. Tests are homework problems with numbers changed around. He will also highly curve your grade if you have perfect attendance.

I wish I took this class in person b/c it's hard to teach yourself the material especially during the summer. But I had the opportunity to take the lab with him so he was very kind enough to help me after lab! He's really nice and quite entertaining. The online lecture class had 12 quizzes and 4 exams (1 drop). Do the HW problems & quizzes!

I took PHY2053 with Dr. Voehl over the summer. The class was online -so you had to teach yourself- but it wasn't too difficult. To do well in this course repeatedly do the hw problems and go to the ASC Lab for help.

Toughest courses and hardest professor I've ever had in college. I didn't like him and first, but ended up taking 2 physics lectures and labs from him. His lectures kept me coming to class. I needed physics for my degree. I heard he was the best - I heard right. If you need to pass physics and are willing to work for it, he's your prof.

I took Professor Voehl online for college physics I, and face-to-face for college physics II. He sure stayed on us online, and asked us almost on a daily basis if we needed any help. There are only a few test he grades during the semester. If you miss to many classes your final grade gets deducted. Going to class is helpful and he offers review sessions after everyone is dismissed. Doing the homework will help you a lot as his test are based on the homework assignments. He is willing to bump up grades if you were a good student

I'm currently taking college physics II from this professor after taking college physics I with him. He is the best. These are the hardest courses I have ever had to take, but professor Voehl is very helpful. I highly recommend this professor.

First true science professor I have had. He is no nonsense. He have very strict rules which really helped me pay attention. I don't like science or math but I needed d this course. The course was pretty easy if you came to class every day and worked. Great lectures. I'm glad I am done tho.
