does not take attendence and lectures are on powerpoint on blackboard so you do not need to ever go to class, but buy the book if you don't go to class. nice guy, gives you a good foundation in marketing. he knows his stuff and has marketing experience
This class is so easy....just study the vocab for the exam and your guranteed an A
No Comments
Great teacher. Makes class intresting and has the whole class involved in the discussion. Basically gives away 10% of your grade by his"quizes". Easy tests also
He is so easy. He sometimes gives quizzes to take attendance but you don't have to be there for them all some are for extra credit. Do take.
very easy prof. gives extra credit but MUST attend class. Does ppt. and post 'em on blkboard. Exams are easy if you pay attention in class and review ppt. Do not need book! GREAT prof. intergrade real-life situation to material.
easy as hell, no problem passing, he does take attendance in the form of quizzes, there is extra credit and the tests are easy they come straight from the powerpoint, no need to buy the book
Knows his stuff. I got an A w/ my eyes closed i think. Just go to class, its important for his UNANNOUNCED quizes(for x-credit and attendance) Awesome teacher, i dont have experience w/ anyone else but i cant see it getting any better w/ someone other than Atwater
He is the best!!!!
A good man with a strong moral character. I trusted him the first day I went into the classroom. He is a smart man who knows his Marketing inside and out.
He is the best! recommended!!!
"In terms of that" Ha, this guy is a good professor, you need to be in class but usually the combination of lecture, powerpoint, and general discussion, class is very interesting. Take him if you get the chance!
Its an easy class. Every class is powerpoints that are put on blackboard. Theres a few extra credit quizes in class, if youre there you get the points regardless how you did. Test are alright. The class is boring, he is boring, but it is really easy.
He is a great professor, very helpful powerpoint. Everything you nedd to know is in the book, in the powerpoint or have been said during class. 4 tests (mutliple choice), no final.Few quizzes. Recommanded !!!
Fairly Easy. Helpful. Attendance not mandatory but helps earn you points and he does use stuff discussed on exams. Exams fairly easy and straight forward. Lectures can be a bit on the boring side sometimes.
This class is a breath of fresh air. Good teacher, easy class, 4 tests drops lowest, you get extra points for attendance, no final if you take all 4 tests. Take him.
Great professor, I would reccommend him for any class. Everything you need to know, is taught in lecture. Powerpoints are also posted on Blackboard. In class reviews are always donw before exams.
i got 82 on one of the four test everything els got lower and i got a A- in the class. what did i do? I did good on the newshoes proj(easy as anything) got the 10% for the inclass quizs if im nt in class i got someone to sign me in. and took all the easy online post test with u can do untill u pass it. bt u do need to study for the test study his p
mad cool.. class goes by fast. almost every day he says "we'll leave out a lil early today" you really leave out about 5 mins early most times.. but tests arent bad if u study.. the questions can seem to have multiple answers so know the terms and concepts.. but the class was ultimately a positive experience
I had him for Mktg 2101 and now have him for Marketing Research and I find he is a good professor. He's not the friendliest man but he is very helpful and wants you to do well.
Hes a good teacher. i did bad cause i really didnt put much effort in if you keep up wiht what he ask you should do fine. Attendance he basically gives you pop quizes that he gives you the anwsers for. also test are MC but are all from his key terms he gives you... DO NOT MISS A TEST THE FINAL IS HARD AS HELL ITS 100 questions and hard!
Really great professor. Class goes by quickly and I really recommend going because he gives out "quizes" which are used to show that you were in class. He's not trivial, he's there to help, he doesn't have absurd grading policies, take his class.
Good professor, make sure you understand the material well before tests because they really do test you on what you know. Do all of the hw assignments and in class stuff because he only counts 10 and if u do more its extra percentage at the end (it really helps)
Overall class was pretty easy, but in an annoying way. 40% of grade is based on a semester long group project that you get very little feedback on throughout. He grades some assignments really easy, then grades others like its a thesis paper. Hard to really connect with on a personal level. class was easy, but as a mktg major, wanted to learn more
A****er is such an awesome professor. The class work is so easy; post test almost every week but they help with exams. He does take attendances at random times but it helps your grade if you go. overall very easy class, and a****er did a good job of keeping us interested. the semester long project is a little annoying but you'll get through it.
He is a nice man but i leave it at that. Makes little effort to help students outside of class. He does not give useful feedback on your work, and in my case, he forgets to add grades at the end of the semester. He has yet to respond to my e-mails about this.
The class material is fairly easy, as are the MyMarketing Lab quizzes. However, the grading system he uses is unnecessarily complex and has FAR to many different components. Everything from textbook selection to the breakdown of each 10-12% component of the overall grade is broken up into too much detail.
Really nice guy. He breaks the power points down into slides that are easy to understand and you have any questions he is very helpful with his explication. His test are hard and he is aware of that but he provides many extra credit opportunities to offset poor exam grades.
Really good professor, class is not difficult, just show up to class because of in class assignments. If you do the work class is a guaranteed A, take advantage of extra credit opportunities. Test average is always in mid 70's but it is still possible to get an A.
I don't really like Marketing, but CA's a good professor. Exams are 20% each, so one bomb will hurt you, but won't kill you. There's no final if you're present for all three midterms, which is nice. Just show up for in class activities and keep up with the NewShoes project and you should do well.
Great professor, keeps a very boring topic interesting. Tests aren't too hard. He is very clear, down to earth and easy to relate to. One of the better professors at Temple for sure.
The exams were much much harder then they needed to be. Newshoes is easy, research requirement is simple, online quizzes are very simple. Study hard for exams because they are what will bring you down. Otherwise, he is a good guy and good teacher
He is a good teacher who wants you to do well and will help you out in any way. His exams are hard, and there are no curves on each of them, but he does curve the class at the end. There are many different ways to do well in this class. I failed 2 of my exams and I got an A- as my final grade. He is a great teacher and I would take him again.
Very clear in teaching, but exams are quite difficult.
Nice guy. STUDY for the EXAMS cause they are ridiculously difficult and tricky and you will need the time to take it
Boring professor and he isn't very clear as to what is due when. The class isn't too hard, exam average is usually pretty low, study and you will do well. Easy homework assignments and NewShoes is easy as well.
He made this class more difficult than it needed to be. The class was boring and the surprise graded activities were the only motivation to go to class. New Shoes wasn't necessarily hard but way more work than it should have been and very time consuming. Tests don't seem hard but the grade would be lower than expected.
He is a Good Prof. but not best. His lesson in the class does not prepared you for the test. He does not reply any email what so ever. Just avoid these class. He tell you to study everything for the test.
the exams are hard but there are plenty other ways to get good grades. i did bad on allll my exams but i still ended up with a A- so take him and do really good on newshoes!!!... go to class for class activities!! he gives class activity almost every class try to miss that and do all your work then you will be fine.
Has twenty in class assignments worth 20% of your grade...Go to class because it is a grade saver in the end. There are like 20 online quizzes you must get a pass on to get credit. Exams are rough but I got high Cs on each exam and ended up with a B+ in a class because of going to class and doing the quizzes.
Have to go to class in order to do the in-class activities which are 15% of your final grade. Exams are a little difficult and require studying in order to get an A.
This class is relatively straightforward and although the exams are tough, they are worth a relatively little 50% of your grade. However, the required marketing simulation was a little rough for some. Also, attendance isn't mandatory, but class activities make up 15% of your grade.
I really didn't like his class...it was boring and he doesn't try to make it interesting. The tests were extremely difficult compared to the homeworks. But overall...it could've been worse. The class is definitely passable.
There were 3 exams and plenty of quizzes thru MyLab. If you keep up with the readings, take good notes and study the material within the context of examples you will do fine. Have to go to class - there are in-class activities that can cause a major dent in your grade if you don't do them.
He's the faculty advisor for the American Marketing Association, so he knows what he's talking about. His lectures are very fun and interesting, though not mandatory. 3 tests and a final. 1 quiz per chapter online. Easy A if you go through the motions. New Shoes sucks no matter who your professor is.
Great teacher and great class. Makes lectures relevant and gives a lot of opportunities to earn participation points with class activities. Tests are not super difficult but it's definitely worth studying and looking over past PearsonLab quizzes which are due through out the week. Definitely an easy class if you put in some effort.
Gives quizzes every week that are online that are due before class start (2:00pm or 3:00pm). Make sure you read the power points because they help with the quizzes and exams. Marks attendance by giving in class assignments which are 15% of your grade but he gives the answers in class. One group project but allows you to pick teammates.
Lectures are boring, the only way to do really well is to love marketing. Just get a 60% or higher on all the online quizes and get an avg of a 70% on exams and u will get a B if u do all the other stuff which is easy.
I was not a fan. Not difficult, not interesting, just kind of an annoying class to have. Also, if you are taking intro to marketing with him, the group project is pretty rough, especially if you get randomly assigned a bad team. Two tests, all from the book, not much from the slides, totally doable though.
You have to do A LOT of textbook reading if you want to pass, especially since he has online quizzes about a chapter before he teaches it (get 1525 and you pass). He tries his best to make the class interesting but the course itself isn't that interesting. Do pay attention to the material because NewShoes simulation is essential to a good grade
He's good at lecturing and he puts all the powerpoints online which helps. He sometimes does short in-class activities for participation, which are super easy. I'm not very good at this class so the tests are hard for me, but if you're good at marketing, I would definitely suggest his class.
His tests are a little difficult because most of the questions are real life applications of marketing and the terms can get confusing. He gives random in class assignments that you get the points for as long as you show up for them. New Shoes kinda sucks, but that's not his fault. You gotta study hard for the exams if you want an A
He doesn't delve into textbook specifics but rather integrates it with the bigger picture of the marketing world. Not terribly hard, skipped a lot classes(i was in a big lecture). Easy mypeasron testquizzes. Attendance is taken by class activities.
Easy class. For the tests all you need to do is read the textbook and go over the key terms he gives out before every test. He grades you on 3 tests (this semester 4, a makeup exam, which you can replace another exam with), in-class activities, group project, quizzes on mylabs, and either participating in a research study or write a paper.
Marketing is an easy class... The tests are just memorizing vocabulary words. With that being said, you have to show up for class (even though he doesn't take attendance) because he does in-class activities (each one is worth 1% of your grade, there are about 15 throughout the semester). Group project at the end of the semester, not too bad though.
He is a very kind lecturer. His tests are a bit hard, but if you read the textbook, memorize and understand it, you can score on the exams. He gives in class activities for attendance, online quizzes and both have extra credits (up to 4% of the final grade!) He is very helpful and also passionate. I never regret taking his class.
One of my favorite professors at Temple - lectures are a bit dry, but overall easy class. Just put the work in and you'll be fine. Exams are definitions so just memorize keywords and you'll get an A.
He's a good professor but lectures are extremely boring. You need to figure out a way you can take notes based on power point slides that he posts on BB. Exams are mainly based on definition and applied to examples. Also he has in class activities that total up to 16% of your overall grade, go to class. Just know definitions and you will get an A.
Classes are boring, you can just go through the PowerPoint he post on BB. The class is all about definitions of key terms. And in class activities are 16% of your overall grade, online quizzes are good methods learning key words. NewShoes simulation is interesting. Go to class, you can get a good grade.
Craig's a great marketing professor. His exams are fair, and his homework system is easy. He posts all his lectures on Blackboard and is very helpful. The lectures are long but he is charismatic and easy to follow. You will have to do a group project for his class.
clear with grading, although it changed a couple times throughout the year. Nice guy, the group project is awful but I think all classes have to do it. Read the textbook and take notes itll help
He is a great Professor, but when it comes to the exams be sure to read the text book!!
Honestly the worst professor I've had all semester. Not clear, doesn't answer questions or emails. Don't take this professor. His lectures drag on and are boring and none of the information he talks about is on the exams. Gives out vocabulary terms for the exams and DO NOT waste your time looking at it. All around a bad guy
One of the most disorganized professors I have ever experienced. From day 1 he was unclear about so much, he never dives into detail with anything. The lecturers and homework are not bad, but the tests are rather pointless, all memorization and terms. My main problem is he is not clear about what projects and tests entail.
Good guy but he really needs to learn to explain things a little better. He doesn't go too into detail with a lot of concepts and doesn't explain the NewShoes group project at all (15% of grade) - my group was clueless while doing it. Overall, the class is an easy A. The tests are a bit difficult, but the quizzes and homework's are a breeze.
Do not take this professor. He never goes into details and his power points do not make any sense. Homeworks are easy but tests are really hard. He gives you more than 60 definitions to learn and you actually have to memorize all of them in order to pass exams. His reviews before exams are so useless. The worst professor I have ever taken so far
This class was pretty easy. Homework/online quizzes were an easy grade boost, tests were just vocabulary terms. The online simulation project was confusing, but that was the only bad part of the class. Got an A with minimal effort.
Would not recommend taking this professor. He lectures the entire class on PowerPoints that do not go in to detail what so ever so they make no sense. You have to learn all of the material on your own and memorize over 200 terms for each test. Read the textbook or you will not do well.
The work is a little tedious. Mini simulations, sometimes more than 1, and a quiz due every week that goes along with the chapter you have to read. Just stay on top of the work, then it'll be an easy B+ / A
average/above average fox lecture professor. Lectures aren't super interesting and are essentially the entire class. Theres one big group project plus tests are pretty easy (multiple choice). Grades attendance through poll everywhere and can real tank your grade if you don't go to class often (like I did). All and all a solid choice for marketing.
His lectures are unhelpful and painful to sit through
He's a solid choice for MKTG 2101. There are three exams, one big group project (make sure you have a good team and take the project seriously). At first the project (NewShoes) is a bit tricky, but you'll get the hang of it. Attendance counts towards your grade so make sure you show up and homework is easy so and quizzes are all on quizlet.
Not a great lecture hall professor, if you could take this class with anyone else, do it.
Great professor! I'm a marketing major, I wish he taught upper level marketing classes. If I get a chance I would definitely take him again. 4 exams, online quizzes, and optional homework.
yo so like i barely came to class studied an hour before the exam and did all the quizess late and got a 85 % in this class. But on da real tho this guy said my group project sucked so this is why im here kinda just typin and stuff. Also my english is really bad can explain why im majoring in spanish
He's an average professor. Nothing special about him, but he's a really nice guy. He's a wealth of knowledge and gives you options on how you want your exams to be weighted. The exams usually don't line up with what's on the study guide, so beware. That said, the exams were easy if you knew the terminology.
Craig is a professional at what he does. He is ready at exactly 11, not a second later, and exclusively gives lectures. The class is extremely boring, and he has no personality, but he taught the class like a pro. Only downside is that there is a big group project, something rather difficult in a lecture hall class of 200 people.
It was a marketing lecture, no one is particularly excited and he gets that. He tries making his content relevant and getting you out of class ASAP. The grading consists of very few components. Show up to class or at least participate in the PollEverywhere and you'll get 25% of the grade. He makes a potentially dull class bearable.
Attendance is 25% of your grade, counting for more than homework and group projects. Class is otherwise a waste of time. Craig's lectures are not good and you learn the same amount of information in class as you would on your own. Would recommend not taking this professor.
I'm pretty indifferent toward Craig. His lectures are rather boring but he takes attendance through Poll Everywhere which you can do at home :) . The exams are pretty straightforward, pretty much just testing vocab. There are plenty of quizlets online that contain all the information you need for each exam. New Shoes is a pain though, worst part
Craig is a good guy and a good prof. He is a solid choice for mktg2101. Although this is a lecture heavy class, which can be boring at times, it was pretty easy. He does his best to keep it interesting and interactive. Just do the homework, show up to class, take the exams, and you'll get a good grade.
mostly lectures, exams are huge portion of class
Prof lectures a lot. Participation matters in terms of Poll Everywhere that is used for attendance. Exams were a bit challenging.
Hes just so boring it's hard to pay attention in class. The tests aren't terribly hard and he sends a review test that helps out. I recommend taking this class with people you know for one of the group projects later in the class that can be challenging with random people.
Class itself is lecture heavy but he does his best to make it interesting. Heavy weight on activities but that makes it easy to get an A if you show up. Show up and do the work and it will not be a problem. Exams are based on class material and textbook material, just study the terms he gives you and you will be fine.
Do the minisims and the polls and you'll pass
Great professor and class isn't bad at all!
Lectured very heavily, and although the material is very easy, the tests were filled with confusing wording. It was filled with so much confusing wording that he had to remove some of the questions and curve everyones grade. Must attend class because he will do random polls to check.
One of the sweetest man ever and he doesn't even have to try. Genuinely wants his students to do well and gives you study guides for the exam. Exams were super easy and he lets you have one cheat sheet during it. All the hw answers are online and participation is counted through polls.
Easiest class I have taken at Fox. Most of the grade is doing polls during class so just show up and stay awake during his boring lectures and you'll get a good grade. The homework is ridiculously easy and so are the exams (allowed one cheat sheet). Recommend you take the class with some friends to make the group project easier.
Even though he tries to make the class as fun as possible .. it is still boring to me .. the professor is respectful and tries to give everyone a good grade .. do your best in this class and it will be an easy A
