He is the "new guy on the block" but I think hes an interesting, caring professor. Take his class.

He is the greatest teacher I had so far. He is fun and ver helpful. He gave only one term paper and gave enough time to finish. whenever, u have Qs, go to him and ask, he will explain to you in great details. He is an awesome professor.

Guy will help you in any way he can. easy grader in terms of assignments.. gives one research paper tests are kind of hard but he sits in the front of the room (which is a lecture hall) and does work the entire time take that for what it is worth

This guy is the best, I'm about to take his final exam and even if I dont pass it, he's still one of the best teacher I had, if I fail it was my fault. Loved the class learned a years worth in a semester

This guy is hilarious but his tests arent easy, if u do ur work ull do fine, but the class is fun and will keep you awake.

This teacher was very helpful and funny at the same time I certainly enjoyed his class coming in as a freshman not knowing what to expect. He is great!

Very funny guy! Definitely worth taking the class. He makes one of the most boring classes on Earth (Theology) easy to go to, and he's always willing to help. The essays on the tests aren't the easiest, but the study guides he gives are perfect prep.

He makes corny jokes, but you can't help but laugh. He gives you the essay questions before the test and grades pretty easy. You have a term paper and he moves pretty slow so you only have 1 test and a final. But he's EASY!

Awesome teacher!! He is so nice and goes at a slow pace making it incredibly easy to get an A. Study for the 1 test of the semester and the final and yopu'' be fine. He loves what he teaches and it shows

Dr. Baron is by far the best professor I have had since I began my collegiate career. His quick wit made the class so funny & enjoyable for me. He practically spells out all the material so there should be no surprises on a test. I highly recommend him if you want to get something out of THEOLOGY.

I think he's an okay Prof. His grading policy isn't bad, you have 3 tests (just study the notes) & a research paper on the Pope. Tests are easy, gives you essays b4hand. I wouldn't recommend skipping class b/c he takes attendance & absences impact your grade.

Best Teacher I ever had at St. Johns. Very enthusiastic about his material. Definite comedian and makes material very interesting. Recommend him to both the lazy and the hard working. Attendance taken daily. Good notes is the key to that A+ in his class. Trust me you learn in this class!!!

I've had this guy for all 3 theologies...his notes and tests couldnt be more easy! You don't even need to read the book, just go to class, and write down everything he says and there is your A. Plus if you sit up front and laugh at his jokes he'll be more lenient on you!

i have taken baron 4 times and i always get atleast a b. he's very understanding down to earth and keeps you up in his class with his jokes...... u will enjoy him as long as you r paying attention taking notes and can manage to study for atleast an hour

Dr. Baron is absolutely one of the best professors at st. johns. You learn every class and he is very reasonable with the grading, amount of notes, and intervals between tests. Just three tests and a book report, no homework!

I've had his class three times so far, and I suppose the third time really is the charm b/c I'm in love...but not in a hearts around his name kind of way lol (although he seems really loveable). He's immersed in the subject matter, inquisitive , and humurous. Baron rocks!!! I look fwd to his class :)

Pro Baron is a great Guy. Intially i was not doing good because I was not putting my best foot forward. However, coming to the end of the semeter I Ace everything. I got a B in the class. Good Pro, take him if you can. I like him. SJU should have more professors like him. He's very clear on whats going to be on the exams, study hard & you will pass

his tests are very easy.. they are composed of multiple choice questions and 3 short essays.. he gives you the essay questions a week in advance

Baron is a really great teacher. He makes the class seem interesting, even at 7 30 in the morning. He cracks stupid jokes, but i giggle sometimes. He gives two tests, that he gives u the essay questions before the test day, a final, and a paper. I would really reccommend taking him.

He's a good teacher as long as you go to class and take notes. Just take down what he writes on the board and you'll be fine

This Guy's the man.I took him for my 1st 2 theo's and now im taking him for my final theo. I didnt care what theo it was since i dont care abt the subject,only took it cuz he's teaching it. dont even need txtbok,classes are always the same so its an easy A esp. if you had him b4. take good notes & study them & u get an A.just 3 fair tests & 1 paper

He's a great professor, He's very enthusiastic about the subject and he is very funny also. His tests are a bit hard and he's sometimes a little unclear but overall he is a fine professor.

I took Pro. Baron 2 years ago and I could still remember what a great professor he is. He makes theology so interesting and really gets the class involved in discussion about the mysteries of God. I wanted to take him for a another theology but his classes were closed. He's the best!!

OMG, I LOVE THIS GUY, HE IS THE BEST TEACHER ST JOHN`S HAS TO OFFER. This is by far the best professor i have taken at St. John's. He is very high spirited and not bias. He makes class interesting, you learn alot and for me it opened my eyes to many things i didn't know about other religions, including my own. Very interesting class and fun professor take him!!!

he is a nice and a funny guy but can be kinda weird at times, too. he is an easy professor. does notes pretty much every class. there are a couple quizzes and tests that can be very easy if you do a little bit of studying. the class was surprisingly interesting to me. a good class overall.

Dr. Baron was one of my favorite professors. He is very funny and his class is easy. At first, i thought his class would be boring, but it's actually very interesting. I strongly suggest him as a teacher and i would definitely take his class again.

Very good professor. He's a really good guy. His lectures can be boring, but they are informative and often highlight specific material that will show up on the tests. The grading criteria is 3 tests worth 25% of your grade each, and one paper worth 25%. Study his power point slides and you'll be fine for the tests.

Great professor. Not the most interesting subject for everyone, but he presents the subejct matter in clear power points (which includ everything you need to know for tests, plus some text reading), and he is very passionate about the subject. He will talk with you and give great feedback. Funny dude, I highly recommend him.

Hes one of best professors I ever met! He gave great points on PowerPoint about the books we require to read and sent them to your email to look back for finals! Hes really funny and caring! I even invited him to the Durga Puga and he actually came! Overall, I absolutely recommend you to take his class to learn Hinduism instead of Christianity.

Great Professor. If you need a theology elective, he's your guy. Online class. 4 major assignments no quiz. Do well on those and participate in lectures and you will be good to go. The textbook can be found online. Lots of reading but I wouldn't say reading is essential unless you don't review. Overall Great guy

Professor Baron made my semester a lot better. If you are looking for a theology class that is straight forward where you still learn something then this is it. No homework, grade is based off four essays. Go over lectures and the chapters and you will be fine. All the power points are reviews of the chapters.

Standup professor. Really nice guy. Makes theology less painful. Powerpoint heavy, CHapter assignments every 2-3 weeks I believe. Textbook can be found online for free. Really understanding if you email him. Highly recommend

His class was fully async, his textbook can be found online and the lecture is power point heavy. Your grades will primarily come from your papers, as they are the only way he can tell how much you understand the material. Overall he is very passionate and witty individual who made class very enjoyable. I highly recommend him to anyone!
