He was a cool teacher. I liked him. I would requmend takeing his class. You will have fun in his class.

professor hammond is a committed, caring, engaging instructor who know his subject matter and brings industry competency to the classroom I have always been able to get help and answers. (COMMENT) students who don't know how to communicate with professors, or think they know more than professors, complain the most and communicate bad INFO-ASK MORE!

Good teacher

this was an online class and a great experience overall. mr. hammond created organized units, lecture notes,had links to content and a threaded discussion for each unit. class was a bit fast paced but he sent us a lot of emails.

This teacher is mainly online and the complainers should go to his office hrs and meet hm, he is nice. He is patient and personable and even prefers to be called by his first name. 2nd class from him and i went to his office hrs a lot for help wit my website…he even told me he wishes more students would come to his office,

I took this class online- just following along w/the assignments in the book was fairly easy. If you get stuck give him a call or ask another student online for help. Sometimes the work seemed repetitive and arbitrary, but it was good practice.

Goes out of his way to meet after hours and show tricks to help improve your work. Very nice, smart person. Lectures can sometimes get too theoretical which is why I didn't grade high on clarity (may help if follow along group practice sessions on page building were more of a focus AND eye contact to engage class more.) Learned a lot and loving it.

Intelligent and insightful. Wants to help all students. Makes difficult concepts easy to understand.

I love Prof. Hammond! This teacher really cares about his students with their grades and their feelings. Never offended anyone. Always in a good mood and greets everyone that passes by. The subject is very simple and he teaches it well. If, you ever get bored, you can just surf the web because the class takes place in a comp lab. class was a breeze

Craig Hammond was a JOY to learn from! He really enjoys teaching. I took several CIS classes with him-all web related courses-and got straight A's because he is really good at explaining the material. He is approachable and accessible. He's the best prof at SMC. He gets an A+. You are lucky to have him.

I took this class online, his instructions were clear and communicated with a lot of emails. He is really great emphasizing file management with your website. It was easy to visit him at the office and he is great!

I took his cis 4 class. the class was kinda boring but prof hammond is a good teacher. Super helpful and always willing to help you with anything you need help with. Super chill and always willing to give you a second chance he doesn't want you to fail.

I had professor hammond last spring and he was great, he is super strict with attendance, but worth it. he actually makes you learn the content and give lots of real life examples. He does't put up w bullsht in the classrm & give a quiz when a phone ring so be warned but he is super smart and tells us that we earn grades for ourselves not him.

i took this adobe Fireworks class from him online, he had a multimedia movie lecture for almost every chapter...cool, i watched them over and over cause he has a sexy voice and i actully learned:)! he makes a lot of his own exercises creating cool graphics and shares them with his class. great class!

i must say a good clss overall, he uses lots of teaching tools and broadcasts his lectures/powerpoint stuff to each computer during his lectures. I also like how he sends files to each persons computer in class with one click of his mouse. he is sort of strict but cool & at least i learned what an Access database is!

AWESOME class. Hammond really takes his time teaching the material. Show up, do the HW, pay attention to his lectures and for sure you'll past the class! GREAT professor. I highly recommend taking his class!

Prof. Hammond is a good motivator, almost everyone who started the class finished. He is good at getting people to pay attention and it doesn't hurt that he is a handsome guy! I'll take him again for sure.

kick back class, sometimes talks about the design process to much but I learnt a lot.

unfortunately, craig chose an older DW8 book while using DW CS3, which made things very complicated at times (the programs are diff). he is very understanding, fair, and helpful and fairly knowledgeable about DW. the current DW8 book allows you to simply walk through the HW step by step, so paying attntn in lecture isn't always necessary.

great class, explains real life scenarios in cis 4 such as calculating home loans. oool teacher.

He is just so nice and insightful to teach students well with great materials. I love how he is so considerate with how he treats students. The class is pretty interesting and its not hard at all. I'm actually learning something from him and that amazes me.

Awesome online class. Professor had podcasts, nearly daily emails about local L.A. architecture, the green LEED thing. He also provided us with tons of architecture resource links and stuff.

He is really COOL guy.The class is easy - but attendance is mandatory.There are exam on Word, Excel, Access and a PowerPoint project due on the day of the final. If you do the homework and go to the lectures it is an easy A.

this course was fabulous, i learned so much more than just the book. There were weakly items emailed to us about L.A. architecture, and cool architecture inspiring things. The class even tied in modern sustainable arch. principles to the historic thing. Tons of reading but worth it. great class!

totally inspiring! I took this Architectural History class as an elective and it was so fascinating I'm thinking of majoring in architecture. Prof. Hammond tied in local pieces of L.A. architecture w ch. topics that we were encouraged to visit and articles on sustainable design. Cool Podcasts on "The Pantheon" & "Greek Law of Proportions"!

His classes are totally packed, and I have actually learned a lot. In CIS 4 he just explained the PMT function and how loans work using real examples instead of the book. I finally understand why so many people are screwed with loan pmts! He is strickt with attendance so don't take him if you like to skip class! Great Professor overall!!

I took CIS 4 this fall and had an overall great experience! Superb teaching skills, funny, doesn't throw A:s around him but still fair. Did homeworks and most of the tests through a program called SAM, an extremely educational software, very easy to understand and to keep up with the class! Great teacher, TAKE HIM!

This was a fabulous class, Prof. Hammond brought a lot more to his lectures than just the textbk and showed us real projects.Had a well-know guest speaker architect and the class created a cool group project book of sketches we all got at the final. Wish SMC had more architectur classes like this! warning- he give a quiz when a cell phone rings!

He made the class interesting by using different methods of teaching. He offers a lot of extra credit. He helps you a lot in the class. Overall a great teacher.

Took online mac version. I can second for the other person who commented about taking the same class. Easy, easy, easy A. Quizzes are basic, final was super easy.

Great teacher, lectures are extremely detailed and uses a lot of online resources. Requires you to come to class and gives Quiz when cell phone rings! But has great sense of humor and i learned a lot. Cool to see class presentations at end of semester too. One of the best professors i've had at smc!

Good Professor! Easy class! Learn alot about Microsoft office. Might seem a little strict in the beginning but as the semester goes on you see he is chill. CON: slow in replying to emails..ironic taking in consideration it's a computer class, sometimes he won't reply. You would have to catch him in person...other than that I recommend prof Hammond!

This was an awesome class! Prof. Hammond makes cool Podcasts about The Pantheon, Greek Law of Proportions, byzantine arch. etc. There also was a lot of stuff about local L.A. arch that Prof. wrote himself, wish smc would offer AHIS 22 next term! Class also inspired me to learn more about LEED cause he talked about USGBC sustainability stuff...

Awesome class! Prof. Hammond talks about L.A. local museum and architecture events we can go to, also gives xtra credit for students who participate in Sustainable Crews which i did, and learned a lot...never would of thought of it without his encouragement.

Hammond is a very nice gentleman. He is a good person and not a hard grader. he makes sure you understand everything and will stay after class to help students out. I recommend taking him.

Took last term. Professor Hammond is very articulate and speaks clearly, easy to understand. Pretty strict but also nice, told us about a lot of job fair and cool campus events. Knows a lot about sustainability and cool guy, wants u to learn.

he just talks a lot and takes forever to get to the subject discussed in the class. But other than that, be sure to enroll if you stand listening and listening and listening forever

This was my first class at SMC and people told me he was good. He was very detailed in his lectures and knows a lot about MS Office and often explains beyond the book on how we apply these applications to daily business. Excellent class, even taught us how to figure out mortages and interest rates and foreclosures in Excel.

Took his online cis 4 class. this is my 3rd online class and the best one so far. lot's of online content posted and uses Threaded Discussions as well as Announcements Board. very communicative and very helpful when visited his office hrs.

easy going teacher, i recommend taking his course

Easiest class to fulfill your requirement. Weekly assignments due, just follow the textbook. Sometimes had pop quizzes but basically gives everyone an A. Final was a powerpoint presentation and presented in class. We had one midterm which was open computer. Easy class. Easy A. However, doesn't grade anything, never returns anything back to you.

This was an online class and content was very organized compared to the other online class. got confused and went to his office hrs and was surprised, he was super helpful and nice. Good class.

CIS 4 course is very simple if you are familiar with Office 2011. He can be very anal about cell phone usage. If it goes off in class, the entire class is required to take a POP QUIZ, which are four questions. . . redundant questions. Don't expect to know you grade until the finals or after finals.

He's really good and funny, but his class is boring some times. Go to class, do your homework, and switch off your phone. Don't expect to know your grades until the last day of class or even after the final which is a PPT presentation

He is a smart guy with a lot going on. Good class with real life scenarios, I learned how to use the programs.

My class was an hour and 15 minutes long but it felt like three hours. He lectures throughout the whole class period so it's easy to doze off or not pay attention. If you don't give him trouble then he won't give you any. Just try to take notes or pay attention to the his power point presentation. You'll have homework every week. He is a nice guy.

It was an amazing course with concise instructions and challenging tasks. This course is very organized with clear explanation from professor. I was graded on time. I do appreciate to professor Craig Hammond for useful skills and new knowledge.

It's an online class on a popular image manipulation software. From my experience, all classes related to the same company, have textbooks that give you step-by-step instructions. How much easier can that be?
