To start, I am not the best with math. That is why I was happy to get a C- and get out of there. I should say that Bro Johnson was willing to use his office hours to help me when I needed it. He keeps class time interesting and was great at keeping a pace that wasn't too overwhelming. He is kind, easy going, and will help you suceed at Trig.

I had Brother Johnson for Bio Stats 222. I don't understand all the bad ratings on here for him. First of all, he's extremely nice and hilarious. Class is always fun and interactive. Second, NO TESTS. You do case studies that are like take home tests and they only take like an hour plus you can use your notes etc. He is easy and I'd take him again!

Brother Johnson is one of my favorite teachers. He doesn't give too much homework, but expects you to do your part. We ARE in college. He doesn't do tests, and you don't have to go to class because he teaches everything in your PREP assignment before class. Really funny and awesome! I'd suggest him anyday!

As has been mentioned on here before, Bro. Johnson does not require you to take tests and lets you use your notes on his 'cases'. Also, attendance is definitely not mandatory. Great teacher and an easy class!

Comments on here are ridiculous. Some complain he doesn't do enough examples and doesn't explain well enough - you do realize that many math professors simply require you to learn from the textbook, right? He does fine and his class is easy to get an A in if you do the work and ask specific questions.

He's a character- this class requires a lot of work and studying, but he's a pretty good teacher to take it from. He's really silly and goofy so you won't be bored. Be prepared to work, but you'll learn a lot!

I love Brother Johnson. He is so funny and makes Biostats enjoyable. If you do the reading, your preps, and the homework you will do good. He answers questions if you ask them in class. But if you go to his office he tends to be very brief with you. His text book for the class is free! He really is a fantastic teacher.

If you want to pass, read the wiki and do the HW. The tests do not follow the HW exactly, but if you understand the HW and you think about what you did, you can figure out the tests.

Great teacher, good with statistics. I had a really good statistics teacher in high school though so your mileage may vary. Narrated ppt slides on ilearn are super helpful, it's like having 2 teachers at once. All of the HW is done in groups, and usually we have enough time after class to do it, which is nice. Overall fun/good class.

He actually got me to care about Statics, which is saying something. Was easy at first but then got a little confusing at the end. You learn a lot about things that are very helpful in a future career. It was a very eye opening class. Most assignments can be finished in class so the only homework is usually the pre-class video and quiz.

Brother Johnson gives mastery quizzes. They are similar to the exams and you can take them as many times as you want. It was a lot of work, but it paid off on the test.

Brother Johnson is highly motivated on the subject, and although the class itself can be a bit daunting, Brother Johnson tries hard to make sure everyone is understanding the material. Beware of his tests though, as they require you to be very meticulous about what you know, and how to do the math. I'd recommend him overall as a teacher.

Bro. Johnson is the best math teacher I have ever had. He takes a complex section and breaks it down to simple form and then builds on that. I took his 7:45 class and this guy made me laugh even at that early in the morning. His office hours are for you. He wants you to come in and will help in everyway that he can. GREAT TEACHER!

I felt really lucky to have taken calculus before because I would have been so lost in his class otherwise. The thing that got me is that he has plenty of hw every day, and a preparation exercise before every class, so it's easy to fall behind. Keep a close eye on I-learn and you should be fine. Watch out he often has quizzes connected to the hw.

He is a nice teacher, but I just don't like the work that I have to put into this class. My sister is taking 221C from another teacher, and she doesn't have this much of work to do. There is an individual quiz before the class and one hw and also a hw quiz after class. It's just really time consuming. He is a good teacher don't get my wrong.

I really enjoyed this professor; the one thing that bothered me though was that he would often break us up into groups, and then constantly interrupt us while we were working on our group assignments. He was excellent aside from that. The class is structured very well.

Class is never boring- he's pretty funny! Before class youre expected to read the lesson and do a prep quiz, then in class theres a team quiz, and after class theres a homework quiz. Each test is cumulative, but its not difficult because you use the things from the first unit again in the following units. I loved his class! Would recommend!

I have always really struggled with math, & was dreading this class, but this actually became one of my favorite classes that I have ever taken. I have never had a math professor care so much about the success of the students. He has open office hours, & each lesson has multiple quizzes which allow you to understand the lesson on a deeper level.

Brother Johnson is a solid choice for statistics. He knows his stuff, and will prepare you well for actuary careers or graduate work in statistics. M424 was a tough class for me, but if you do the homework, go to class, and go to office hours if needed, you should be fine. If taking for M424, do not slack!

Great professor. Makes sure everyone understands everything before moving on. Assignments are not hard. You have double sided note card for exams. Exams are not to difficult. 1 group project, really easy. I recommend Johnson. He is really caring and nice, definitely a father.

I took Brother Johnson over zoom so I'm not sure exactly how he is in person, but over zoom he was phenomenal! I had a roommate who was taking stats at the same time as me but here class was always super confusing while mine was super straightforward. Working with groups helps you double check your answers and clarify understanding! Great teacher!

Look its a 400 level math class, its hard, but Bro Johnson is very understanding and will spend time with you during office hours to help you understand. He is a great guy and gets excited about math. I've taken bro Johnson for Math 221 as well and he is phenomenal. Got an A in 221, and a C in 423 but its on you to seek help if you're struggling.

Brother Johnson is funny (if you like dry dad jokes). He is really personable and I felt like he clearly explained the concepts you would be learning. The textbook is free and online, so he gives you a PDF as a workbook to take notes in that you can print off anywhere.

There is one big group project due at the end of class but it isn't very difficult or time consuming, he gives you time in class to work on it. Study for the tests, they make up most of your grade. Be prepared to participate, as that is the best way to learn, we were one of the test puppet classes for the integration of R four semesters ago. Worthwhile to learn how to use and implement R.
