This man is nuts! Great stories but they aren't on the test. He rambles and is rather odd but sometimes entertaining. If you want to do well, buy his guide, study it, skip class (it will only confuse you) and pass the tests.

Even if you attend class, he will not put anything on the test that he talkedabout....NOT WORTH IT
Kinda crazy, really funny. Read the book, buy his guide, don't take notes, it's not on the test. He's a pretty good professor.
He has some very interesting courses. Don't bother to take notes don't attend if you dont want to..just get his study guide and old exams from others..you'll ace all his classes.
Excellent teacher! Extremely intelligent and able to accept and debate student's opinions without bias. Great class, but expect to know your stuff inside and out if you want to ace this class. A++
You watch A lot of movies, His test are very hard, and he does not lecture very well.
Easy way to make an A is to not attend the class and do the study guide through the book.
His lectures and study guides helps alittle. I found this class difficult because he has a total of 3 tests the last one counting for 50%.
Test is from the sample questions...study them well, and read the chapters. He shows several videos
Going to class won't help you get an A. Do the study guides go to study groups it will help with the ridiculously hard tests. He won't give you the answers to the study guides so most of the class ends up memorizing all the wrong answers.

I have taken 3 classes from Dr. Jordan and he is a great teacher. His tests are hard. The lectures however, are very interesting and he knows the material very well. Debates in his class are always welcome.
He is pretty interesting. Going to class is helpful, his test arent to hard. If you know the material.
great professor, with very useful knowledge. Hoever, his exams seem to be more tricky than in determining if you have retained the information of not, test questions must be read very carefully and looking for those distractors that messes you up.
for Animal Behavior, Human Sex&Reprod., and Law&Ethics and the only reason i took him was because i had old test and some answers from the sample book he tells you to buy. He jumps around with lec. And test are long and hard. Dont bother with his classes
Very interesting teacher and interesting lectures. Tests are very long and hard but he does give you a book of sample questions and curved grading which helps. He has these funny little quirks about him which are rather amusing, and he looks like George Bush. I'd recommend him for Bio majors though.
Dont go to class b/c the notes u take wont be on the test, just do the sample test question handbook though the text book and ull make an A or at least a B
Good instructor. Really knows his field(s) of study. In case you didn't notice, he has both a JD and PhD. Just study the guide and it'll be ok. If in doubt, guess False!
He's really eccentric and funny, he probably makes alot of money off of the study guides he requires you to buy, but if you answer the questions, you'll get an A on all the Tests (which is an 85 or above).

He is a great teacher, get his old tests, study those, and do the sample exam ques., and you will get an easy A. If you dont go to class, or at least do the exam booklet, dont expect to pass.
What a hottie! Get his old test and get a guaranteed A! Most of his questions are exactly from the old tests.
I love Dr. Jordon. His lectures are always interesting, and as someone mentioned before, his quirks are very amusing. He's easily approachable. He's obviously passionate about his work. I highly recommend him if you don't want another blah teacher.

This guy is the funniest guy I know. His lectures are always hilarious, whether he means them to be or not. He has little quirks and funny sayings that makes lecture interesting, and he is very intelligent and knowledgable.
he's sorta hard, you have to study a whole lotta! he's also kind of cute for an older guy.. and he's funny... do the questions he gives you, they'll be on the test...
Interesting class. He is a very differnt kind of teacher. DO THE STUDY GUIDE!!!!!! He's is very funny for an older man.
Wonderful teacher! Interacts well with students. Treats students respectfully. Knows alot about what he is teaching and always has time for his students!
He's an amazing teacher and so so intelligent, the subject matter is hard though and he expects you to know your stuff, his classes are not easy B's or A's, you need to study study study but it's possible, and he's also kind of hott!
This teacher is really nice, but he is extremely difficult for people who are not visual learners. All he does is put up a picture of something and ramble on about it, but not very cohesively. If you don't want an easy A take this teacher!
He's pretty sexy for an older man... okay, so his class is extremely hard, perfect for Premeds though, non bio majors do not take him... you have to know everything, pretty much it, study all of it and go further my researching and reading about different topics related!
THE REASON WHY THIS TEACHER IS SO HARD IS BECAUSE HE WILL PUT UP A SLIDE AND "EXPLAIN" BUT YOU JUST JUST GET MORE CONFUSED BECAUSE HIS VOCABULARY IS INCREDIBLE UNLESS YOU HAVE A HUGE VOCABULARY AND LIKE TO USE BIG WORDS A LOT THIS IS NOT GOING TO BE AN EASY CLASS
Dr. Jordan is probably one of the best profs on campus. He is extremely helpful and his classes surely are not an easy A if u go to class, do his study guides like religously, you are set for an A.He is always helpful with a smile and yeah.....he sure is sort of cute!!!
He does make the class harder than it has to be. Espescially with all the slides he puts up and rambles on about. His tests questions are toooo long for the fifty questions in 50 minutes. He is a smart man but boring and his voc is overwhemling he really should use Web Ct. for the students.
Okay, yes he's cute! I had a crush on him all semester! okay to what you really want to know... the class is HARD, make sure you listen in class, but always read ahead of time, dont take notes, just LISTEN and go home and learn it with the book.. do his questions so you at least get those points..
Hottie!
do his sample exam packets or get the answers from some one else and study it. You will get an A
o k, so he's a nice guy, very helpful, blah, blah, BUT he's a maniac he puts up pics on the slide and ur supposed to know what they are in words on the tests. the exams are very long & worded jacked up. people do good in his class from getting past students tests & memorizing them. i didn't have em! not my best prof. but definetly not the worst.
I have taken him for two classes, I received B's in both. I will tell you right now this guy is a intellegent, smart, sometimes funny guy. Its just he randomly talks about things, his lectures are not very cohesive, and he often forgets things only to tell you later on. If you do his reviews that have over 100+ questions sure you will do ok on a 50 question test =/ If you can avoid him at all do so. My friend had a 4.0, took him and decided after the first test to drop after my advice. Beware!!!!!!!!!
This professor is really hard. Stupid me, I am taking a second course with him. I thought it was me the first time and then relized it is him. He is no help. I went to his office today for help and he treated me like I was dumb. I would never suggest him for anything. He tries to teach something that he thinks you already know.
Can't pay attention to the whole evolution thing... Glad he has a book with most of his test questions in it, that helps ALOT!
He's my favorite Prof. I've taken him for three different classes now. He's not easy but if you study his review packets, go to class, and participate you will get the "A" or "B" you want. He's also really cute and adorable!
I'm a junior, bio major with a 4.0 so I take my studies VERY seriously. So, believe me when I say do NOT take this professor! The answers to his exams contradict what the textbook says and what he says in lecture. Instead of learning, you end up memorizing old exam questions to make a good grade. DrJordan is a smart man but not a good professor.
Very Nice Guy - sometimes funny, but also boring and sometimes irrelevant lectures. It's hard to gauge test material. You need to do more than show up for lecture and listen to do well. (READ book word for word). If you want an A without having your face planted in a book all semester -try another prof.
The man is VERY intelligent and knows what he's talking about. Exams are kind of random, so going to class and heavy reading is required to grasp all the material. That being said, I learned more from this professor than any other bio teacher I've had. He's good, but be prepared to put in a lot of work for an A.
not a good professor. lectures are random. "sample exam questions" can be contradicting to what the book says, and u won't be sure what to put for an answer on the exam. he curves, but there are 3 total exams in the class (including the final). avoid him if u can.
Pretty cool guy. Tests range from moderately difficult to extremely hard. He curves well though, and making an A is feasible.
Dr.Jordan's class is a lot of fun. sometimes he may forget to mention things in class but tends to cover it later on.If you pay attention and do the reviews ul be fine. His way of grading is different so it helps too. I would definitly take him for another class.
I love him!! He is a great professor! He knows so much and is very detailed! But you need to go to class!!
Dr. Jordan is a great prof.! Everything from his classes is so interesting. B/c of him, I realized that biology was my calling.
He's a cool guy but often gets off track during lectures. His test questions are random and difficult unless you really read the book and studied hard.
If you are a Non-Bio major, lazy or both,do not take Jordan. Tests are not as hard as people say. He has sample exam study questions which are the exact same questions on the test! But he does not like to just give out the answers, he wants you to think for yourself(DUH!). He is very approachable and helpful. Very smart man and good professor.
He's one of the best bio profs I've ever had. His class isn't to hard all you have to do is show up stay awake and work on the study guide. Make sure you work on the study guide before the week of thes test cramming for this class really dosen't work. He also kinda funny in his own way. :-)
Dr. Jordan is awesome! As long as you attend class you're ahead. Make sure and do the sample exam book because the test is exactly the same! He won't give you the answers but he'll help you out. The way he conducts class is interesting and he adds his own flavor to it. This man is very knowledgable and a true gift to our campus.
Dr. Jordan is a pretty cool professor!! If you buy the sample exam book from the bookstore and do it you will GREAT on the exams, cuz its exactly the same! He keeps you interested because of his quirkiness (lol) Really easy to get A or B if you come to class!!
He is a very smart professor and knows what he is talking about. The thing that I didn't like is that his tests are over about 6 or 7 chapters each. I feel that bio is too detailed to have tests over this much material and I didn't learn anything.
He was nice, I'm sorry to say that I learned absolutley nothing in this class. The only reason that I passed was because if the Si, and the fact that the teat quesstions are the same questions in the review, and are from the end of each chapter. He has like 6 chapters on each exam, so be ready. Make sure that you read the chapter b4 class, it helps
I didn't read much after the first test. All the questions come from the end of the chapter. SI is VERY helpful.
I cannot say that I learned anything from this class. Professor Jordan is a nice man, but does not have a very good teaching style. I basically had to read my book to make sure I understood what he was talking about. The SI was more helpful for me personally.
Average class based on difficulty--Overall, you do the sample exam questions in the back of the supplement. All the exam questions come from there. It's mainly T/F (70Q). The lectures were somewhat boring but manageable. Truthfully, you need the old exams b/c I did many questions on my own and it's very tricky--ended up getting many wrong.
Very intellegent guy, the downside, his tests are random and include 6-7 chapters most of which you wont know whats going to be on the tests. His study guilds are random and contradicting. Really cool guy, But this class is pretty hard.
GREAT GUY! Taking his EVOLUTION lecture in Spr. '07! Some exam questions from in class videos. Read the book before class. Study guide was the biggest help. Get with a group of ppl from class and do the study guide together, then ask professor for help if there are undecided answers to ques. Thats how we all managed A's and B's for this course. :)
avoided him at all costs. BEWARE!
Test are easy if you have an old exam. If you do not have any old exams i would not take him. test are all 90% T/F. Go to class for final exam material so you know what he is talking about. Got an A, but last exam kinda rough.
easy to look at, hard to follow
his class sucks! tests are so hard and are hard to follow because he just uses pictures. reading the book doesn't help only going to class helps, but not really....dont take him for bio I.
He is such a hard teacher, i would not recommend him at all. His test are extremly hard and it doesnt even help to study the book. He gives you practice questions which basically help you pass the exam, but be careful because sometimes the answers he gives you for the practice questions are not the answers he wants for the exam. STAY AWAY
Likes to give tricky tests. Do not take him unless your a very dedicated science major.
great professor that knows his stuff. He does tend to go off on tangents time to time but he is interresting. There are usually a couple of movies in his classes, just go over the notes from class and skim through the book and you should be fine. Not a hard professor at all and is completely fair in his grading system.
He is a pretty hard teacher. I showed up to his classes and only a select handful of exam questions come from his lectures. His lectures are also hard to listen to because he talks slowly and takes a long time to get to his point. You have to go through the sample book to survive his tests, did not learn much. Try to avoid
I had him for evolution. He gave extra credit points for answering questions during lecture on chapters we should have read before class. An 85 is an A and he gave about 10-12 point curves on exams as well. There is not a study guide like Animal Behav. or Law and Ethics, but if you go to class and read then you can get at LEAST a B!
Pay attention to his lectures. If you doze off or watch stuff on youtube youll be lost. Read the Sample questions!! At the begining of the semester he gives out sample questions. This is literally half the test. The rest is from lecture and the book. He has always been helpful and is eager to answer any questions. attendance isnt recorded.
He's a good prof. but hard to follow at ties. You must come to class to keep up unless you can teach yourself. He goes off on tangents now and then and almost seems to smart to be teaching Bio I
his lectures aren't always so helpful for the test but he will tell you what to stress on and what not to. so go to the lecture and then read the book. and do his practice tests!! thats half the test. plus a 85 is still an A. if you're failing its only cuz you didn't do your part. theres a lot to read but thats all the bio classes!
Dr. Jordan is the most knowledgable man in Evolution and Ecology at UTSA! His classes are extreemly educational and very interesting! If you fill out his study guides and know the material you're guaranteed an A! Highly recommended!
Dr Jordan is a nice man and a smart teacher. Sure he goes off on tangents, but they're interesting! He shows lots of videos. Sample questions are a must to buy - tests from these. Textbook used, but older version is good enough and much cheaper! Take him if you can! Go to class to see videos & enjoy lecture!
He is an excellent and fair teacher. His tests are pretty easy if you study the material-- but you have to study pretty closely. The example questions he gives you at the beginning of the semester are re-used. So, unless you just don't even try to look at them -- you will probably fail. And if so, you will get at least half correct!
i've taken dr.jordan for BIO 1143/2003/3213/4073.good prof, very intelligent, knowledgeable on many more subjects other than BIO.must read textbook&complete his sample exam books to have a chance in his class.he has a law degree&phd in bio from UT.great orator like most lawyers&interesting lectures.
I would not recommend this teacher.. Although his lectures are interesting, you must attend every class and buy the sample exam questions. His tests are straight from the sample exam questions but the questions are hard to answer because he doesn't go over a lot of the material.
He is one of best instructors I've had so far! he is hard, but he is a good man! he will not give you more than what you deserve, but if you study you will do good, b/v he gives you all the questions! and his old exams are out and very easy to find. You'll get an A if you make 85 and over! which is pretty good and helped a lot of students.
His lectures are hilarious and very interesting and informative! The tests can be tricky, but if you do the sample questions in the back of the book, you'll be fine.
It is a very interesting class! He tells great stories and shows a lot of videos. The tests are somewhat difficult, but if you look up the answers to the sample questions, you'll be fine.
Great Prof.. His class is hard, but afterall, it is biology. If you plan to do the usual jackass thing and not do work, DO NOT TAKE THIS MAN! This class certainly will weed out the individuals who think they want to major in Bio, but they really dont want to do the work necessary. IF you are willing to do the work, take the class, you will be fine.
dang!!! his tests really test you on your ablility to understand whats going on.. once you find key words the answer is easy...and simple to single out.. he gives alot of curves. cool guy. his lectures are tripped out. gives you an insight and his examples are awesome..too bad he's only going to be teaching one class next semester..bio3. :(
Dr. Jordan's class can be pretty boring, and hard since he tends to skip around. But, if you can get your hands on some old exams, it'll help you out ALOT. Even if you dont, if you can answer the sample exam questions booklet, you'll do fine, just do it in a study group. Got a B, Definitely recommend!
I had him for Law and Ethics as well as Animal Behavior. He is extremely knowledgable in Biology and has a likeable personality. However, his lectures and exams are scattered, unpredictable and random. This is in their relevance to what the students should be expected to know at the undergraduate level.
All i can say about this class is that it was AWFUL. i learned nothing at all, and i dont know what these "Sample" questions were, but we received none...at all! You HAVE to go to the SI sessions to pass this class otherwise you wont do well. I don't recommend.
Great professor. You will learn a TON of stuff. I have taken him for Animal Behavior and Law Ethics. I loved both classes. You should definitely go to class, but you can do fine if you take good notes. All questions for tests come from his supplemental material.
DO NOT! I warn DO NOT take this class. worst class i have EVER taken at UTSA. The WORST professor, never taught out of the book and always got off topic. Class was always so hard to stay awake. The only class at UTSA that I have not gotten an A.
This class was boring, but the professor tried to make it as interesting as possible. We watched alot of videos and he put questions abt the video on the tests. So basically if you attend the class you will do fine. Plus read the book and look @ the cd!
He's a really nice guy but he does not make clear what he wants the studends to know from his lectures. He will tell you what to read, but you're not really sure what to expect in the exams, which are REALLY REALLY HARD. He curves most exams but most grades are really low anways with the curve.
As you can tell, either people love or hate his class. The reason why I loved his class is because it is sooooo challenging and because he is so cool/weird. The reason I kind of disliked his class was because his test questions are worded so weird that even if you do know the material really well, you might still get it wrong. Be prepared+)
Jordan's lectures are a bit unclear, but cool. He speaks softly, so sit close. It is not impossible to get an A, but make sure you know EVERYTHING on the notes. Notes are more important than the book, as he pulls a lot of misc. questions out for the test that have nothing to do with the reading. Curves are huge on the tests, so just work hard!
Dr. Jordan is great. His tests are really easy if you study the reviews, its almost question for question. And attendance isn't mandatory, but you should go b/c he gives out iclicker questions that count for a test grade in the end. no quizzes, no homeowrk, just read and study the review and you'll do fine.
Dr. Jordan's Tests are in the strangest wording. Thankfully, you have time to prepare with his sample exam questions which are similar to the test. Compared to other Bio classes, This one doesn't really follow the book. My advice, go to class everyday and study his sample questions.
He is pretty easy if you pay attention in class and read the book. He is sometimes confusing on what he wants you to read though.
Class is ok. Don't miss it or you miss a lot. His in class quizzes are tough. Don't think I did well on any of them. The test are so easy if you do the practice questions. He takes the same questions and puts them on the test itself. The book is good for reference only. He puts tons of pics up from his lecture for review. Take notes.
Dr. Jordan is a great, knowledgable professor. Quizzes are open-book, but he goes quickly. He has review questions for exams that are really helpful. I've learned more from this Biology class than my other science classes. I would definitely take another class with him.
Every time I take him, I kick myself wondering why I no one else teaches the classes I need. Jordan is always hard and ambiguity in the law only makes his tests more difficult.
I learned more interesting facts in his class than any other class. He's really good at explaining concepts by making sure his wording is correct when speaking. The tests are tedious but make sense if you go to class every day.
He explains very well, but reading the text book does not help that much, if you wan to do very well you should also study his past questions.
Jordan is a good teacher with a lot of knowledge interesting to the average bio major. His tests are tricky but if you study the reviews you should pass. Go to class because the lectures are very helpful.
Jordan is a good teacher and knows what his talking about but he gets off topic ALOT and the tests are the type that there is a correct answer but a more correct answer. One test was over 11 chapters b.c he lost track of time and fell way behind. And told us the weekend before to read and teach 7 ch.s. Taking him at 8 am doesn't help either....
Be aware: his tests reflect the TOPICS he goes over, not the same exact material. If you arent willing to go over your notes after class, you may have issues. I made a B+ the first time and retook for a A. 75ish questions on tests. 1 is dropped. YOU MUST GO TO CLASS TO DO iCLICKERS. Your total is gonna replace that dropped test. Buy study guide
Yes he gives you a study guide. 50% of that will be on your test. Don't pay attention to his syllabus with what's going to be on the tests...it's usually wrong. Show up to class every time and get an iclicker ASAP. He's really interesting to listen to but he's not very organized which makes it tough to study for tests. He's OK not great.
Didnt use the text book very much. Comic to class is mandatory because you have iclicker questions. Exams are not easy but a study guide is provided with about 50% of the questions. The other 50% you will be tested on material that you have not yet covered in class. Class is also pretty boring.
Attend class all the time and bring your clicker! He's not very helpful during office hours so make sure you pay attention in class. You don't even need your book for this class too.
sooooo... Jordan has very interesting stories that provide great information...but they don't help with tests...get them from past students!!! the book doesn't help at all, and iclickers are a must!! study and an A is likely
Jordan is extremely ambiguous, but he tells some interesting, unnecessary stories. Lectures, readings, and tests are scarcely related. This means you'll have no clue what to study, so don't and drop out. His tests have paragraph questions with more than one correct answer. The book doesn't help, so study old tests or review questions he gives.
Pay attention in class and write every detail of Dr. Jordan's stories. Do all of the example questions he provides and try to understand why certain answers are correct/incorrect. Go to class. Book is not used much. Do all this and you'll still be scratching your head a lot during the tests. Good luck!
Dr. Jordan is a very nice guy and very interested in what his students are doing and how they're doing with the material. His lectures were fairly interesting; he tells a lot of cool stories (which ALWAYS show up on exams). Tests weren't difficult. Take notes, study, and you'll be fine.
Jordan was pretty cool with his lectures. some of his exams were pretty difficult.. but you just have to pay attention to even the small things. At times he tells you whether it will be on the test or not. other times it's up to you to determine whether it's important enough.
His tests are close to impossible if you do not regularly attend class. Reading the book does not help, and even though he posts powerpoints on blackboard, you wont understand them unless you go to class. He uses iclicker almost every day. If you pay attention in class, especially his stories, you will be fine.
AMAZING PROF! Probably one of the smartest people you will ever meet in your life. Tests are difficult but the questions mostly come from his stories and the examples in the book, so read it! It will help a lot. Go to his office hours so he knows who you are. Def. Go to class so you know some specific questions that will be on the test. Big curves.
Dr Jordan takes an example based approach to teaching Bio. So, you have to go to every class or miss an example. It makes it easier to understand the content but is impossible to study for, since he test over his examples. Easy B hard A.
Dr jordan is amazing.. His stories are so interesting and his knowledge is intriguing. Sadly not everyone knows how to appreciate and take advantage of his great knowledge and skills The class is not an easy A but possible. It requires work if that's what you want to know. I find him so attractive too! His intelligence is mesmerizing. Great prof :)
I absolutely loved Dr. Jordan. His lectures are soooo interesting! The iClicker is worth an easy 20% of your grade. Regularly attend class, it is worth it! To study for his tests, use the practice questions he posts and look online for other versions if you can =] Generous with his curves.
Knowledgable instructor, but relatively irrelevant course content if you're headed the med school route. This class covers mostly evolutionary theory (e.g., how ants and plants evolved together, human ancestry, bird migratory patterns, how the Earth formed). Book is not necessary. Attendance is mandatory, pay attention to lecture. Just endure class
Dr. Jordan is a great professor! He always had interesting stories to tell us in class. Make sure you go to class because attending class is the only way to get the material that will be on the tests. The textbook is pretty pointless. He is generous with curves because his exams are difficult. I hated Biosciences I but this class was fascinating!
Professor Jordan is amazing! Really enjoyed his lectures. Go to every class since there are iClicker quizzes. Take good notes since that makes up most of the test. Barely used the textbook. Studied for his tests by looking over notes, online tests, & ppts. He gives a lot of curves. Final was a bit difficult but manageable as long as you study.
This class is easier than biosciences I, and is more interesting. Dr. Jordan is a knowledgeable person. You get a "cheat sheet" (SOS) for 2 tests. Does iClicker questions, 1 point for participation and 2 if you get it right. I hardly touched the book and learned a couple things. Curves are given on the test. I would definitely recommend him!
Dr. Jordan is an amazing professor. He is extremely knowledgeable in his subject, brings front interesting stories that you will never hear before. Although his exams are extremely hard, he curves his exam 10-30 points. Attendance is somewhat important, because he does iClickers points. Final exam was done through iClicker, can work with peers.
CLEAR ADVICE HERE: ABSOLUTELY DO NOT and i repeat DO NOT take this man if he is doing the hybrid course. Spends an hour talking about random stuff. On a 25 question iclicker TEST our class only got to do 11 bc he TALKED AFTER EVERY QUESTION. Take someone else or take it next semester.
Hybrid class but if you study you will get an A. Its college, you can't expect to get by with just procrastinating or not actually studying.
**Hybrid course** First semester he did this and I did not like it. Really nice man, interesting stories, but the way this class was structured is horrible. I don't feel like I've learned anything except how the earth was made and how ants mate. This class is easy if you get lucky by getting a smart group. Tests and quizzes through clicker w/group.
dr. Craig is a nice man, his lectures aren't very good and won't help much with the clicker points, he gives a huge curve that is enough to raise you from a C to a A.
LOVE THIS GUY, SO HELPFUL, NICE AND SHOW RESPECT TO HIS STUDENTS, MAKE SURE TO SHOW YOUR SELF DURING OFFICE HOURS.. TAKE HIME
study the test bank and you will be fine.. i clicker are the best part ever :) simply, take him..
This was a hybrid course, so it was beyond long of a lecture when we had to meet, and he just talks the whole time. He pops up with iClicker questions throughout the lecture - sometimes. One thing I really didn't like was that he was always posting things on Blackboard, but he never made it clear exactly what to do with some of the material.
Dr. Jordan is a good guy & his lectures aren't to bad. His final was ridiculous it was really hard and it was not formatted like any normal final, he wrote it in that 'type writer' font & trust me its sounds like no big deal but it throws you way off. But I will say he does help you out and gives buffers. I would take him again. Beware of the final
Okay teacher. You should watch the powerpoints before class, thats where the iclicker points come from. Horrible group project that is not explained well. Read the chapters and watch the powerpoint and youll do fine.
Dr. Jordan is an extremely intelligent person. That being said, his class is not an easy A. Go to class. You'll fail otherwise. Look at his PowerPoints online BEFORE class to get easy points for his daily iClicker quizzes. His tests use a typewriter font that's distracting. The final was HARD. But, he explains things well. He doesn't use the book.
Group exams, and attendance points
The largest part of your overall grade is the lab and the iclicker questions. Therefore GO TO CLASS TO GET ICLICKER CREDIT. The class isn't that difficult. The tests are group tests using the iclicker and are only worth about 10% of your grade. The lectures are pretty boring but he is a cool and easy bio professor. Just get iclicker points!!!
He curves everything including the tests and final
His class can be a little boring but pay attention. He is nice but the font he uses may throw you off. His final test was very difficult so make sure you keep up with all the material he instructs you to read.
Worst class Ive ever taken. Professor is sporadic, random, and has no notes to follow. Instead he lectures on random animals over a variety of random subjects within animal behavior. Tests are Blooms level 4-5 questions (look this up) and online. Questions are very specific, homogenous, and quite tricky. Do NOT take this as your Neuro elective.
