Great teacher. Very funny and informative.

he is not the average history professor. he is very funny. i very mcuh recommend anyone taking him, but remeber he is the beatles number one fan.
This guy is great...never a dull moment.
he is one of the best professors..EVER. he is very informative, funny, and helpful. if it is possible to take him, do it, you will not regret it.
Wonderful teacher. Great sense of humor. Try not to miss class, you will miss a LOT of info! He loves the beatles and baseball.
Really awesome! I was a little scared at first but he turned to be really nice and a fabulous teacher.
great teacher!
He is a good teacher and really knows what he is talking about. He sticks to the topic (and a little beatles and football.) Overall if you go to class it isn't bad.
Great professor...Very fun and willing to work student. I had the honors class and the tests are all blue book essay with a reading assessment on each test...don't fear..the books are very interesting and relative to the course..A+++++ class and Professor
He is the best history professor at slu. he is informative, funny, and helpful. i HIGHLY recommend him to everyone
VERY funny and helpful. I've never liked History, but he makes it interesting. He doesn't require you to memorize History dates AT ALL. Tests come from notes/books. Definately a good teacher, I recommend him to everyone.
He was very organized and made note taking easy, but his tests were very hard. You really had to study every free minute you had in order to keep up. You had to know the significance of everything. He's great and fun and I loved his class, but I know that there must be easier classes than that!

Being a history buff, i usually enjoy a good lecture...however saucier and his antics were boring and ****. i thought he was rather arrogant, as well as unwilling to help students out. i would not reccomend him to anyone, i think he leaves a bad name for the history department.
I always hated history before, but he made history so much fun. He was lively and make alot of corny jokes. His tests were easy and did not require you to know specific dates. I would highly reccommend him to anyone. First time in my life that I made an A in history.
One word can be used to describe him...Awesome!!!! He is passionate about history and it shows in his lectures. He is always there for his students. I had him for honors and his essays were easy. I love this man and I highly reccommend him to anyone.
I did not enjoy this class, however, I do not see the point in memorizing facts. His test were very hard, and no matter how well prepared for them, I still did bad. After going to his office I felt like if I tried 110% maybe he would work with me, but this wasn't the case. He mislead me.
i was not impressed
I am totally in love with Craig Saucier. He was a great teacher with interesting stories. Who else tells all the raunchy stuff that happened in history. His tests could be difficult but you just have to take good notes and put aside a few hours to study. He rocked my world I would def recommend him to anyone.
well being a history buff i was already interested in the course, but my true interest was always american history. He completely changed my view, love him!
Saucier rocks! History is not exciting, but his stories into these people's lives are great! I took this class in the summer and let me tell you, I wasn't looking forward to three hours of history a day. I was pleasantly suprised to find Saucier with his funny syllabus and entertaining antics.
Great professor! took him for 102 honors and he's EASY!!! HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED...you do need to be at least interested in history though.
his class was great...he always talked about intersting stuff and had goofy comments about people in history.test were very easy and plenty of chance for bonus points. if your taking history i would definatly recommened him
the best teacher ive has at SLU keeps class interesting and leaves you wanting more. Loves the beatles hates the yankees (Gotta Love it). i regret not getting to know him more as a teacher. take advantage he has lots to teach.
I loved his class. Im not really a history person, but i loved going to his class everyday. he is comical and tries his best to make things interesting. He lectures in a way that makes main facts very easy to remember. My studying was miminal and I make

Awesome teacher, I just don't know about his tests yet though.
I love this guy. He's into the beatles, likes baseball, and doesn't **** around when he gives exams. He's always very clear and he'll let you voice complaints before class begins. Everyone who has to take a history should have him at least once.
Wonderful teacher!! Makes things very interesting!! Talks at a perfect pace for note taking!! Best teacher so far!!
My favorite History teacher! Loved history anyway, but he made it fun and interesting! Very helpful and considerate.
I LOVE THIS MAN. He could teach a class on watching paint dry on the wall and I would take it. Hes funny and he makes the topics interesting. He does sweat alot, but who cares. If you study and go to class your guaranteed to pass.
I would really reccomend him!! Lectures are very interesting and he is very funny!! If you go to class you will make an A.
Every student should take one of his classes, he is funny and keeps the lecture interesting. Test are mostly from notes, he gives you a study guide, and you read maybe 10 pages out of the book for each test. If you go to class and take notes, this is an easy A.
Mr. Saucier is an awesome instructor! He does give alot of notes but is easy to follow and very interesting. He also seems to care about how the students are doing in his class. He gives 5 bonus points before every test, all you have to do is answer 5 essay questions and you get the 5 points! I would definately reccomend him!
I loved his quirky humor and random gory details. Questions from the outside reading will be on his tests and make sure you study b/c the exams are all short answer with one essay. Follow his tips on taking notes and be prepared to write a lot. His class was so interesting and easy to retain that i took him for 102H. My B avg was due to laziness.
Amazing!!!! So funny and such a good teacher. But be prepared for the tests. They are essays and he will take off points if you don't include all of the important details. Nad be sure to study. I looked over my notes every day and made As on all the tests, while my friend who looked over hers before the test always made 70s or lower.Take this class
I loved his class, he was my favorite professor! He makes history fun and easy to understand and follow.
I really enjoyed his class, and i usually hate history. He gives interesting lectures, but they are sometimes overly detailed. He's really funny n straight forward. His exams are all writing. You have to find a balance bc its impossible to memorize all of the details from the notes, but the exams have 5 I.D. questions where u need all the details.
Great Teacher
Great and funny teacher. Loves teaching and is very helpful. Tests are straightforward from the lecuture.
Best teacher i have ever had. i wasnt interested in history at all until Mr. Saucier. if you listen to lecture, take notes, and study...you will have no problem getting an A. take him!!
Just awsome. tests are require studying because it is all written but even so, best teacher I have ever had. Got an A. He gives two extra credit assignments worth 10 pts each
Saucier is hilarious! He loves history and is willing to help and talk outside of class. Instead of including questions about the required reading on the tests he had us do book reviews. Make sure you pay attention to the themes of the books. The test IDs are simple. Make sure you give background and after info. Good teacher to take in mornings!
Great lecturer, very witty. Tests are easy as long as you know the study guide and do the readings.
Lectures are fairly quick, but you have just enough time to take the notes. Tests are not really hard as long as you pay attention and go over the study guide. Pretty funny too.
Truly amazing teacher! Very down-to-earth, charismatic, and above all - cool. He puts a sense of comedy into teaching history, is well knowledged of it, and makes learning history interesting. I got a quality education from his class and the money was well spent. His tests are interesting to take and he is serious about history. One of the best!
He is an amazing teacher. The way he lectures is perfect, the material is interesting and he's a Beatles fan. Who could ask for more? But this is not an easy A; slackers will not be happy. It is imperative that you study daily.
Awesome professor. Everyone should take him. His class is very interesting. Study for his tests, which are short answer, and you'll do fine.
Saucier is a GREAT teacher! He makes history very interesting! He is very helpful! I would HIGHLY reccomend him to anyone!
He was really clear with what was important, if you wrote that down, than you were good on a part of the test, if you paid attention to the lectures, than you were good on the other part of the tests. He's the BEST TEACHER I have EVER had. He's very funny and makes the class very interesting. He's also extremely understanding.
I loved his class! He often uses anecdotes that have little to no importance, but still help you remember what is important. He has a great sense of humor and is more than happy to talk to his students, even if it has nothing to do with his class. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to pass and enjoy their history class!
This guy is awesome. He is very funny and very interesting. I did not like history going into this class, but liked it leaving. I took this class in 3 1/2 weeks and it wasn't bad at all. GREAT TEACHER!!
Do not take any history teacher that is not this history teacher.Tests are easy if you study. Mostly notes not much text. funny but to the point. very efficient EXTREMELY helpful Will help you with material, understanding, or just some random history question. Acts like a real person. One tip-don't interrupt, wait for him to ask for questions.
He is definitely my new favorite teacher. Did a great job keeping me awake during a 7 30 class in the morning that was 3 hours long very funny and makes history interesting HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Everything about this man is AMAZING!!! He loves the Beatles, is quite passionate about history, and has a rad stash. If you can, TAKE HIM! Tests are okay if you study. I only wish he taught more than one class :( Best teacher in all of my school years.
Saucier is GREAT. The man is freaking hilarious. I personally am bored with History classes, but Saucier made it so much fun. He tries to associate the past with our modern lives. You do have to study for his test but it's all M.C. and he gives you all the notes you need. I highly recommend him even if you don't care too much for History classes.
I took this man for 101H & 102H. Words cannot express how amazing he is! If you go to class and take notes, you don't have to open your textbook. You have a good understanding of everything because he ties it all in together. His tests are all short answer & an essay. There are book reviews, but that's counts as an easy 20 points on your test grade
Absolutely a wonderful teacher! I would recommend him to anyone. But you must know how to take notes.
Great teacher! awesome to just listen to, also makes the clas extremely fun to be in!
OMG SAUICER is awesome I would recommend him to everybody. He is sooo funny and his test are super easy and funny if you study. I wish I had him for all my history classes. One of the best history teachers. He is super helpful.
Loved, loved, loved his class! Wish I could take Saucier for all of my History classes.
Loved, loved, loved his class! Wish I could take Saucier for all of my History classes.
Saucier is an amazing teacher- the only professor I know who can educate you and bash Sarah Palin at the same time! He's hilarious-- i always laughed at the choices on his tests making fun of conservatives. Great teacher, he has a gift.
I HAVE HAD SEVERAL PROFESSORS AT SOUTHEASTERN AND HE IS THE WORST, HE IS VERY NICE OUTSIDE OF CLASS BUT NOT THE BEST TEACHER.. THE TESTS ARE HARD!
omg! he's in my top 3 favorite old guys! he can actually teach, he's funny so u don't end up day dreaming about more important things. he doesn't have notes online or anything so go to class and u should pass easily.
Very organized way of giving notes. History is not my thing, but he is good at making things stick and make sense. Attend class and take notes and you should be fine. Very funny.
He is an amazing teacher. If you go to classand take notes you will do fine. He gives you the opportunity for extra credit four times throughout the semester. The only thing I did not like about his class was that you had to do readings from the text book that would be on the test. The readings were long and boring.
I hate History and I'm taking this as a summer term class. He is awesome. Have to go to class, take good notes and study daily. But he does his absolute best to streamline everything. He makes class interesting and he genuinely wants his students to do well. And he is funny as hell.
I'm finishing up this class as a term I summer class. I was dreading 3 hours of History a day, but he rocks. Lots of opportunity for bonus points. His quizzes are short answer, but he will answer any questions and do his best to clarify, especially if he knows you studied and know the information. I worked hard for my A, but Saucier is THE MAN!
I loved it. I was in the summer session in the 3 hour class. I made a B in the class from taking notes and paying attention but this man is truly a life saver because i was actually on the border-line for a B and i got it... That was such a blessing. I would reccomend him to all my friends because history is definately not my thing.
Saucier is the best teacher that I have had at SLU. I hated history before his class. I took him over the summer for a Term II class and loved every minute of his 3 hour class. If you can get him as a teacher TAKE HIM you will not regret it
This man is a history God. He knows what is interesting and to the student that cares nothing about History and he tries to focus on those points. He shows the true nature of our past lots of drugs, sex, and violence. Keep it cool Hippie
This man is the most awesome professor at SLU. Even if you're not into history, he makes it interesting. He's funny, fun and if you attend class and take notes, you'll do fine. I'll take him for every class I can!
I came in to this class loving history and came out of it switching my major to it. This man should be in the record books somewhere for being the coolest hippie alive. I have many history classes to take and everyone of them will be in his room. See you next semester Dr Saucier
Dr. Saucier is EPIC!! The class is not an easy A, you have to work for it. But if you attend classes, and take thorough notes, you'll know exactly what to study from the study guide he provides. The honors class's exams are 4 terms to be thoroughly defined, as well as an essay of about 5-6 paragraphs. He's funny, entertaining, and sexy! Take him!!
The Greatest thing ever to happen to southeastern
Exceptional ability to clearly communicate and make learning fun!
He is the one and only: passionate, hilarious, friendly, extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the subject. Even if you hate history, TAKE HIM (!) then you will love history :) It's not easy A, you just need to do what a student ought to do: take notes + invest time in studying :)It's hard to find a better history teacher than Dr. Saucier!
he is awesome, 4 tests for the semester and he drops the lowest exam grade and offers bonus on each exam. Textbook readings for each exam other than that just lecture. Don't miss more than 4 classes or he will lower your final grade! He is hilarious and soo fun. Take him!
He is a history god. Best teacher I have had at Southeastern. I never cared about history before his class. He is very funny and will keep you interested. Take him!
I've had Dr. Saucier for Hist 101, 102, and now 434. He's fantastic and easy to listen to. Quite funny if you're pay attention- every now and then he'll throw in a random Beatles/Saints reference. Hilarious and really cares about his students. Definitely a great professor.
He is the best History Professor you will ever have, and his lectures are NEVER boring! About 15 of his test questions come from the two books, the rest from things he writes on the board. He puts random, funny choices on the 50 question scantron test to make "process elimination" easier. Also, he offers 4 BONUS POINT OPPORTUNITIES!!! TAKE HIM!
Dr. Saucier is by far the most interesting professor at SLU. I took the summer term class an he lectured for 45 minutes, gave a 30 minute break, lectured again, and ended class. Tests come straight from the notes and the book readings. Random questions on tests and quizzes to make the "proces sof elimination" easier. DO THE EASY BONUS WORK!
TAKE HIS CLASS. You will absolutely love him!!
LOOOOVED Dr. Saucier. I made good grades on all of his test. I'm not saying they were "easy" you have to study but he makes it impossible to fail.
He is amazing!
Dr. Saucier is a BEAST! He knows his stuff! He lectures in a way that makes you remember for the tests with out having to spend hours studying! TAKE HIM! I plan to take every other class he teaches!
Dr. Saucier is such an awesome teacher! His lectures are funny, and keep your interested in the material he's talking about. His tests are MC and material reflects the study guide. I definitely recommend taking him!
He's a monster in the best way possible. TAKE HIS CLASS. Very clear expectations and he's a nice guy.
Mr. Funny man, always have a joke for class and a tie to match his personality. he tells american history like it is and in his own words. extra credit was given plenty of times and the test was always easy if you do your study guide and come to class, not even come to class really just read the passages he gives you in the textbook
Mr. Saucier is a great teacher! His expectations are very clear, and he tells you exactly what to study for the tests. As long as you take good notes in class (write down most of what he says), you can study the notes and get a really high A. I never looked at the textbook at all.
He is very full of life and entertaining...
Dr. Saucier is a good teacher. His lectures are pretty long, but it helps to write down most of what he says. His tests are tough. To say some of his questions are pretty much given to you, it was still hard to pull off atleast a C. His study guides are not that helpful. If you're looking for a easy A (like I was), I don't recommend him.
Dr. Saucier is a very interesting and engaging lecturer. Grades aren't just given out, but he makes it really clear what to study and do to get the best grade. Lecture notes aren't posted online so you have to go to class but you won't want to miss his lectures anyway.
Amazing teacher! I took his 8 am class and never once did I fall asleep. He makes the subject interesting and fun to learn about. He has 4 multiple choice tests and gives a study guide. I'd definitely take him again!
He teaches well.
I did very well in this class. The test are taken on your own computer anywhere during a two day window. The final is the only test in class. Lectures can be long some times but he's a very entertaining teacher. I would easily take him again. Go to class. Listening to him tell the interesting stories is how I think I remembered most of it.
Dr. Saucier is hands down the best professor i've had this semester, his lectures are really interesting and he's hilarious so staying focused isn't a problem at all. He makes it basically impossible for you to fail his tests, as long as you show up to class and review your notes you should get good grades. The final was really easy, too.
Dr. Saucier is a great lecturer who is passionate about his subject. The majority of the test material comes directly from his lectures, so attending class is important. There is a lot of reading, but it's definitely manageable when broken up. He's funny and lectures are interesting. He's always willing to help if you ask.
Dr. Saucier is a great teacher and he presents all of the information in a clear manner so it is pretty easy to follow. Attendance is part of your grade and he covers a lot of information in each class so missing makes it hard to do well on tests. He likes to throw some jokes in the lectures to break them up. I would take him again.
I have taken every class this man teaches that I can cram into my schedule. His lectures are fun and engaging, he has a sense of humor about history that keeps students interested, and he genuinely cares about his students. He won't just hand you an A, but if you show up for class and review your notes... You'll do just fine on the exams/papers.
Exams are online and open book. If you don't like online don't take him. His exams are extremely hard even with it being open notes. Lectures are interesting. Plenty of opportunities to bring your grade up with bonus.
He is a cool guy. He always cracks jokes but he takes his class very seriously. He is SUPER strict about phones. DO NOT USE YOUR PHONE DURING THIS MAN CLASS. He doesn't take excuses unless its a life and death situation. If you come to class and take good notes and pay attention, you will easily pass. He grades super easy. Attend class or fail.
Mr. Saucier is an amazing history teacher. I had him for an 8 AM and his lectures were anything but boring/tiring. You do have to study for the tests. You are required to do the readings, and that'll make the difference between an A or a B. Map quizzes are simple. Overall, I'd recommend him. Show up to class, take good notes, and you'll do fine.
One of the best professors I have ever had! He is very funny and lectures are given in an easy to note take format. Would take again!
Saucier is by far the best professor I have had here at southeastern. He makes history very interesting and has a great sense of humor. Also a great guy who cares about his students. Hope I can take him again!
Quizzes every week make sure to read! Gives extra credit! Responds quickly to emails.
I took him for History 101 and this was the best class I have ever taken! He is so funny and really gets into the material. I wouldn't of made it through his 8 AM class if he wasn't so full of life and made the lectures interesting. I recommend recording his class because anything can be on the test!
Kinda shady hairdo, but this guys hilarious. Only teacher I have ever seen put smart comments in a syllabus- great call. I can imagine some ppl getting confused by the funny comments and satire but very helfpul and gets through tough topics while keeping interest. Smart guy, hippie, funny jokes in Western Civilization, what else you want?
Hilarious and super nice. Most of test material is taken from lectures, so you need to go to class. Tests aren't hard if you paid attention/took adequate notes. Opportunity for extra credit. You will enjoy this class.
He makes the lectures so interesting!! He is a great professor, TAKE HIM!!!
Dr. Saucier is an outstanding history professor. He cares about his students, has outstanding lecturing ability, and is a funny and laid back professor. I would highly recommend taking him at every opportunity.
I have had him for multiple classes, all upper level. Let me tell you! Take him, take him as much as you can. He is amazing! An amazing person and teacher. Attend class, because it helps, but because it is interesting as well!
Great professor, good sense of humor, very patient and laid back. Has a mastery of material he teaches. Class is not easy as it takes reasonable study time- heavy on lecture material and book reports but if you take the time you will truly learn the material. Great teacher but a Beatles fan, gotta be honest... Yellow submarine not that great.
I seriously loved Saucier so much. As a history major, he's everything I've ever dreamed of in a professor- and he's hilarious. He's extremely passionate about what he's lecturing on and it really brings life to the material. Overall, 100/10.
Dr. Saucier is an amazing, hilarious teacher. For example, in the middle of class he said"okay. Now there is three parts for this. The 1st one is the most important. I want everyone to write the same thing." he gives us a sec to get ready. Everyone is dead silent and ready to write. "see previous notes. Alright next." Then gave a mischievous smile
Have to be able to take good notes. All exams are write outs (from lectures) & you read a book for every exam (questions are deep & require actually reading) and part of your exam grade is writing a 4-5 page essay on information out of the book. Final exam is not cumulative. He makes lectures interesting.
Really great teacher. Vague grading criteria for honors classes. Enjoyable class. Really funny guy. Taking him again. Requires work but isnt bad
All I can say is... WOW! Amazing. I might be impartial since I am a history geek but Dr. Saucier is amazing! Take him as much as you can. Lots of notes and not super-duper easy, but easy to comprehend and easy grader (at least in honors). Wonderful, helping, warm personality. My favorite professor at SLU!
Your long and tiresome journey down the road of education has been leading you to this class. You have reached your destination. Look no further. Click the enroll button. You're welcome.
By far my favorite professor I have ever taken at SLU. His lectures are easy to listen to and he is never boring. Honors test are all written, but if you take notes and study how you are supposed to, you will not have problems with that. TAKE HIM!!! you will not regret it!! I have also heard that his online 102 class is great too!
Interesting teacher. Pretty much a hippy. No homework there are map quizzes that are easy As and his tests are pretty difficult but all multiple choice. You can tell he really enjoys History but if you dont listen and take notes you wont pass.
I took hist 102 online . you're expected to read about 300 pages a week which covers two test one at the beginning of the week one at the end. but everything is on quizlet . the test are 25 questions in 25 minutes, you have speak the questions into your phone or you wont have time to finish. for the map test have the pages on the study guid open
Dr. Saucier was the best history professor I have ever had. Hes funny, makes the material interesting, and he does offer extra credit. On the tests he offers a bonus question, but if you dont know the answer just write a fact about The Beatles and hell give you points haha. You do have to study and I recommend recording his lectures. Take him!
I absolutely recommend him! He gives his lectures in outline format (A - 1 - a), so everything is clearly defined. He will gladly repeat anything you need, and he encourages questions. He's hilarious, and relates everything together! I love his class, and he's my favorite instructor!! I would totally take his class again!
I have him for an online course and honestly wish I could meet him in person! You can tell he is hilarious. Put in the work and it's an easy A! Quizzes once a week due every Friday, 30 minutes for 25 questions with an additional map quiz every couple of weeks (total of 5). No homework or assignments. Opportunities for extra credit if needed!
Great professor although we didnt have one on one interaction. Easy grader, read the chapters, work ahead of schedule, be on time, attend class, take notes and youll do good.
Dr Saucier is great. I took him online (BRCC History 2013) and it was a breeze. There's a weekly unit quiz, periodic map quizzes, all open book. He gives good feedback for any writing assignments and is easy to get in touch with if you have an issue. If you need a history class and he's available, DO IT!
All test are open book and are open for a one week.
I loved this professor so much! Lectures are very entertaining and in an outline format so it's easy to keep your notes organized (even if it is ALOT of notes). I never did the textbook readings for the test and still made an A on them. As long as you take notes like he suggests to on his Moodle and study, it's an easy A.
Saucier is an awesome(!) professor. The class is lecture heavy but he's very organized with his lecture, as long as you take notes you will have everything you nee for his tests. He assigns 4 easy map quizzes throughout the year (online) that will help your grade. I'm not a huge history fan but I genuinely enjoy his class. Attend class, you pass.
Dr. Saucier is absolutely AMAZING! I enjoyed this class very much and with everything going on, he was very easy to reach and answered my questions very quickly! If you have to take any history classes TAKE HIM. He has very dry humor and he makes his class extremely enjoyable!!
Saucier's Hist 201 course was entertaining & he had a great sense of humor. I took this 4-wk class w/those expectations in mind but got my hopes up. Was 6 essays based on chapters from a history book. No ppts or audio lectures. Still a good prof, but if you take him, don't take him online. Not worth the $ or effort for an online class IMO.
Dr. Saucier was a fantastic professor and I would absolutely take him again. He is extremely engaging and is great at making history very entertaining.
I took this class online for the fall semester of 2020. Very easy, he ended up dropping our weekly summaries so all we had was tests!
Very funny man. Gives you lots of opportunity to get a good grade. Listens to your concerns and tries to make it easier for you. Offers bonus. Just hate reading and you have to read a lot from the textbook.
He was one of the best teachers I've EVER had. He's so funny and engages you in the material; class felt like it was 30 min. His assignments are clearly graded with amazing feedback. He understands that we have other responsibilities and works with you to get the best grade you can get. I can't recommend him enough.
I took Dr. Saucier for Hist 101H my freshman year and he was great. I took him again a few years later for Hist 102, but it was an online term class. I recommend him for in person classes, but don't take his online term class unless you're prepared to read 20 pages a day in a history textbook.
In this class, you have 3 exams and a final. Due to the hurricane we only had 2 map quizzes and two book quizzes. This professor is extremely funny. His exams are all written. It was one essay and 5 short answer. In order to get the information, you have to go to class. I totally recommend him to all.
He's a really funny and all around nice guy. I really enjoyed his lectures and he's very understanding if you have extenuating circumstances.
great teacher! funny guy. show up to class and take notes and you should be fine. tests are online and for the most part pretty easy
Be warned, his online asynchronous classes offer practically no instruction, with a few randomly recorded lectures per exam covering a small fraction of the material. You WILL be expected to teach yourself if you take his online sections, and you WILL still have to pay full price for tuition for very little instruction.
Dr. Saucier is one of the funniest teachers I have ever had. His lectures go into a lot of detail so the test tend to be easy because he has gone over everything. He tends to give freebie answers which are just pop-culture references from the 70's which make failing his class incredibly difficult.
Dr. Saucier is a perfect professor to take history courses with. He makes the lectures super interesting and adds good stories and humor to his lectures. If you write down what he says you will pass the class. The test questions come straight from his lecture so if you come to class the test are fairly easy. If you like history take his class!
I liked this class. He tries to keep lectures interesting and is a funny guy. Not many extra credit opportunities except going to the WW2 museum and 1 bonus question on each test. Look at the textbook pages for map quizzes and he provides study questions for the tests. Tests are fairly easy with a little bit of studying.
He's very clear-cut, only 8 total grades for the semester, and there's a map quiz a few days before each test, 4 quizzes & 4 tests. He's LECTURE HEAVY, be prepared to take good notes. Lectures are very organized, there's always alot of material covered though. He allows little time for questions during class, but will gladly answer any after class.
Craig is awesome! His lectures are well organized and very entertaining, just make sure you pay attention and take good notes. There aren't many grades in this class besides tests, but the tests are not difficult as long as you study. I would happily take another one of his classes.
Although this class was super tough I would definitely take him again. Be ready to take lots of notes and review them. He only gives 4 map quizzes and 4 exam with a syllabus quiz but if you read and study you can do well in this class. Definitely recommend him!
His lectures are interesting and organized. He uses PowerPoint slides and after each section of the lecture, he asks if anyone has any questions before moving. I like the historical pictures he uses and all the jokes he makes. The tests are pretty entertaining and the map quiz is an easy grade. I would easily take him again and again. He's the best
One of the best professors I've had at Southeastern. I needed a quick History credit and chose Dr. Saucier. It's a points based course. In this course there's, four map quizzes, four exams, chances for bonus points, study guides. If you take thorough notes, pay attention in every class, and do your study guides, you will pass the exams.
I had Professor Saucier for History 101 for Fall 2023 semester. I really loved him and his lectures. However, it was hard to adjust to only having tests and quizzes as your whole grade. He gave 4 map quizzes and 4 exams and one bonus opportunity which is to go to the WWII museum. Even though his course was complex I loved his lectures.
Amazing teacher but tests on the most random things. Write down literally everything he says
Amazing professor who makes class SO interesting and fun. 3 books to read. 2 exams, 1 final. News summaries. Fun bonus opportunity. Thesis analysis. Just show up, TAKE NOTES, STUDY, and you will pass SO easily and enjoy every minute of class.
Professor Saucier is such an amazing professor. He had clear and interesting lectures. The class was graded by 4 map quizzes, 4 tests (including the final), and 1 bonus opportunity! The test could be difficult if you dont study and do the study questions. Overall a great professor!!
Professor Saucier's HIST101 class is a must-take. His lectures are engaging and well-organized, making concepts easy to grasp. While tests are the main grading component, using resources like Unstuck study alongside the textbook can help ensure success. Overall, a rewarding history experience.
Dr. Saucier's classes are always among the best. He is structured, clear, and makes class enjoyable -- an hour lecture will feel like 5 minutes! There are 3 exams including the final, alongside weekly news reports and a small, short written assignment. Bonus opportunity as well. Highly recommend his classes!
Dr. Saucier's Summer Term I HIST 498 (World War I) was amazing! I love World War I. You will write a lot, a total of 7 papers, but that is expected in upper level history courses. I love Dr. Saucier, this was my 3rd class with him. Take him for any 400 level courses! He is GREAT!
