Not a bad class for a required course. Prof. Dutcher obviously has a passion for her subject matter, which was just interesting to me. Tests were tough, but Prof. Dutcher was generous with extra credit and outside class help if you asked for it. I recommend her class, just be sure to study for the tests, her lecture notes are great for that.

Great Professor. She has a passion for law and is able to break down the law in such a simplistic way. The test are not bad,but make sure you study. Extra credit was provided which is always a plus. I would suggest you take this professor.

Pretty easy class. Test can be can of tricky, but study the power points and you will be fine. She is very nice and helpful.

This teacher saved my butt! I needed an A in this class to get into Coles College and she bumped my 89 up at the end of the semester! Other than that, this class was very enjoyable and interesting. 2 tests were in class, 2 were online. Low Textbook use. I don't recommend paying for the book. Her powerpoints were very thorough.

Prof. Dutcher is an awesome professor. She knows the material extremely well and is very interesting in class. Although attendance is not required, I highly recommend you always attend class. There is often info. given only during class. Prof. Dutcher does a great job!

I really recommend her to all students. I thought that BLAW 2200 is hard subject, but I am wrong because Ms. Cristen is a wonderful teacher ever. She gives you many extra credit. Her lectures is so clear, helpful and she explains them very clearly. She helps and answers every questions you asked very quickly. She has a wide scholar about BLAW.

Good teacher. Her lectures are kind of boring, and her online test are pretty hard. If you study the notes and finish all the HW and other assigments you will do good.

She makes it fairly easy to get an A. I took the class on campus. While attendance isn't mandatory, there are often hints that will help you on tests. There are 4 online tests, one Cengage assignment per chapter, 3 assignments from the workbook she wrote, and the final (which is in class). I'd recommend her.

Took her online. Very easy class. You need to do your assignments, read the textbook, and participate in her online discussions and I guarantee you will do well.

Prof. Dutcher is very passionate about the law. She is an outstanding instructor and will help anyway she can! She posts all of her powerpoints and attendance is not mandatory but you should ABSOLUTELY go to class, she gives hints and special insight into the tests to those few who regularly attend class. I would absolutely take her again!!!

Great course for online. Weekly homework and quiz, non-required bonus discussion forums, and workbook assignments that are more-or-less cut and paste once you find the answer. Test questions and answers are never perfectly clear but I guess law isn't anyway. Tests count for about 1/3rd of grade and the other assignments should be easy A's.

I really enjoyed her class. She's a great teacher and really enjoys what she's teaching, which makes it better for students. She always took the time to answer questions and make sure we understood the material. My grade was lower only because I was so forgetful when it came to the online homework. Her teaching ability is great!

Took it online. This class is ridiculously easy! It was annoying that we had to purchase a workbook that she wrote. There were only two assignments from it. Worthless. Homework, quizzes and exams are straight from the textbook. Some exam questions are tricky, but she is very helpful. Easiest A I ever earned!

I took her class online and thought it was easy to understand. Professor Dutcher is very knowledgeable in her field. The class itself was easy and didn't really require much effort. Weekly homework and quizzes that you can take more than once. The tests can be a little tricky because most of the questions are based on hypothetical situations.

I took her class online, and it was extremely easy. She posts lectures, and powerpoints online. There are weekly study tools and homework, but they are so easy if you just do them. The tests are more difficult, but nothing is timed so it's easy as pie.

Make sure you just buy the Cengage Online. From the Study Tools section the site lets you access the text book for limited periods of time. It can be accessed from the Study Quiz Section as well. Do the extra credit, go to class = you will make an A.

Awesome class. Don't buy the expensive West Law text book. From Cengage students can access the text from Study Tools section. Fill in the blanks PPT slides are annoying but worth attending class. She takes her time and tests straight from materials. Extra credit options saved my grade, I got an A.

Amazing professor! Class is straight forward with powerpoints. She gives examples that will stick in your head to help you remember. 4 tests AND a final. Final replaces lowest test grade. Tests are really hard but she hands out A LOTof extra credit. Only class where I've failed all but one test and still got an A. Easy A if you do the extra credit.

Very kind, caring, and concise professor. She does everything she can to help you succeed. I found the material to be challenging to me personally, but I applied myself and pretty easily got an A. Professor Dutcher was amazing, probably one of my easiest teachers in college so far. She gives you usually one or two quizzes online each week, and every month, a short 20 minute assignment, also online. Tests, there are four, also online, and final is mandatory, in class. Pretty easy A, would definately take her again.

I took her online and she gives you all tools to help you on test. There is weekly work to do and she lets you know the first day of that week what all is due. So there is no surprises. I will take her again if she teaches a class I need.

Prof Dutcher is a good, knowledgeable professor that truly wants her students to learn and succeed. Mastery of the content is through repetition: read the material, watch a VoD lecture, and then logon to Cengage to do the homework and take a quiz. Many graded assignments. Many opportunities for bonus points. Would definitely take her again.

She is so helpful, her online course is an easy A but interesting, she gives extra credit and her expectations are extremely clear. She sends weekly updates about what is due and seems like she really cares about her students. You have to take her!

Believe all the other ratings - this professor is awesome! She really goes out of her way to help her students succeed. Class was a breeze, very straightforward and structured. I don't think she teaches any other classes I need - but if she did I would take her in a heartbeat.

EASIEST A EVER IF YOU TAKE ONLINE. There is busy work but it's such an easy A. Monday nights a discussion board and quiz are due each week. She is very clear about what is due. Also offers extra credit that is available to submit any time during the semester. Buy the online access code for Cengage/ not book. (this is for online)

Cool professor, very good lecturer, and both papers were interesting and only had to be 3 pages (double spaced). But be warned: her tests are HARD. 70 multiple choice questions, and there was no easy way to study for them, given the volume of testable material (using the lectures as a study guide didn't help). But she does offer ample extra credit.

Professor Dutcher's class had to be thee EASIEST A I've ever earned in any class I've ever taken. This class was a requirement because I'm a business major, but I enjoyed it. She's very clear about everything she assigns and expects. Get an online book (I got the hard copy too) :( You can earn a bunch of extra credit pts. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT!!!

I am extremely thankful that I took this class with Mrs. Dutcher. She gives the option for each student to earn at least 100 extra points. She cares deeply for each of her students and was willing to answer all of my questions regarding law. She will never surprise you, her entire class is laid out in the syllabus. I highly recommend her.

Great professor. I took her during summer and the homework and tests are all online and attendance is NOT mandatory. If less than 30% of the class shows up she gives extra credit however. Theres a good amount of homework but never takes more than 10 minutes max. I 110% recommend her class for anyone. Lectures are thorough and usually short

TAKE HER! Two tests, weekly online homework and quizzes, three short papers about an in class activity (free 100 as long as you follow format), and TONS of extra credit. Everything is online. Gives complete powerpoint notes so you don't have to go to class, but her lectures are always great! She knows how to give examples of everything she teaches!

Her powerpoint are online, through it always doesn't cover everything you need, it will get you through the material. Not necessary to go everyday and she usually cancels Friday class, sometimes Wed. She loves what she does and is great at teaching it. Definitely do the extra credit. I only need a 9% on the final to keep my A (93), because of EC!

Professor Dutcher is great! She is very clear on everything that needs to be done throughout the semester. Everything is laid out on the course schedule and all assignments are due at the same time every week, so you always know when your stuff is due. Very easy as long as you follow her guidelines. Highly recommended.

Amazing professor! Class is super easy!! Every monday you have a learnsmart assignment due at 12 PM not am which has unlimited attempts so there's no way you can fail it, unless you miss the deadline which happened to me twice :(. Friday you have a discussion and quiz. Both very easy. I HATE discussions but hers were so simple. I lover her!!

One of the easiest classes I've taken. No attendance. Tests are straight from powerpoints and stuff posted on D2L. She lets you use a notecard cheat sheet for every test. In class activities are super easy and she is helpful if you have questions. Definitely recommend.

The test come right from the power-points. On the test she lets you use a notecard and there are six tests (but they each cover 2-3 chapters). Very light content on test and the note card works very well. She has so much knowledge over the subject and really knows how to teach this class, take her as your professor!!!!!

Take her class! Her lectures are very clear, is always willing to answer any questions you have, is very lenient with you no matter the issue, etc. etc. she's awesome!

The grade is based mainly on 3 tests and the final. There is a homework package that you have to buy on connect for about $120 and is about 20% of your grade. The tests do require a lot of studying materials such as the PowerPoints and the practice questions on connect. Attendance is not required but recommended.

One of my favorite professors I've had so far! Very helpful, always gets grades in quickly, and replies to emails almost immediately. The tests are hard, I've failed two out of three so far, but there are extra credit opportunities and all the other assignments are very easy so they make up for the test.

I took this course online over the summer and was a pretty easy class. While the tests are pretty difficult you should get 100% on everything else in the course and it will even out. Just one discussion and homework questions every week, 3 tests and cumulative final which the questions are pulled from the 3 tests. Tests are lockdown but open note

She does not bump, drop, or curve grades, but she doesn't need to because students tend to do well in her class because she is such an amazing professor. Take her if you can. There is no better professor in the entire department.

If I could take Dutcher for other classes, I would over & over again. Breaks down such a tough subject to make it super easy & approachable. Tests are all online with webcam but you can use a cheat sheet. Learnsmarts & writing assignments are done but they're so easy. Made it clear since day 1 that it is possible to get an A or B (which it is).

Professor Dutcher is my favorite professor that I have had at KSU yet! She went above and beyond to support the class and help, especially through the quaratine fiasco. The way she lectures is incredible. She makes law very learnable. I could not recommend her more if I tried. Please take her!

Gives plenty of opportunity to make a good grade, makes sure we're on schedule, and overall cares about this course and students. The material isn't that hard either. I absolutely recommend taking her if you can. You won't regret it.

She is my favorite professor this semester! She is so enthusiastic and knows the material really well. The first test can be hard, but once you get how it is going, you will do great. There is a weekly SB assignment and ABA. There is I think 5 tests altogether. They are all proctored, but open notes. Also, there are extra credit opportunities.

Cares very much about her students. Gives tons of extra credit opportunities. Smartbook assignment due on Monday, discussion post due on Thursday. Test every 3 chapters. Test can be somewhat tough but take good notes on the Smartbook reading and not a problem at all. Take her with no worries.

I had a ton of family issues this semester and missed many assignments. I was able to contact her & she was SO accommodating and sweet. She told me what grade I would need to receive on our last test to pass and even gave me encouragement and offered help with topics that i had missed. Material can be difficult but nothing outrageous. Take her!!

I was scared to take this class, but professor Dutcher makes it super easy to get an A. I certainly enjoyed the class way more than I expected too. This class has a bit of homework (via connect) and there's a quiz every week. Just read the textbook/take notes and you'll do great. Also a lot of bonus points opportunities.

One of the easiest classes Ive ever taken. Simply do your work and youll be prepared for the test and quizzes and get an easy A. Shes very respectful of her students and communicates very clearly. Also, has a very structured and easily understandable layout of the course.

Professor Dutcher is very organized, helpful, and talented. The course content includes a discussion and a SB activity each week. There is an exam every three weeks. Professor Dutcher gives many chances for extra credit as well. As long as you read the textbook chapters and watch her recap videos, you are guaranteed an A in this course.

I'm not a morning person, but I took Professor Dutcher at 9am and it was worth it! She may be the best professor at KSU. She allowed our class to choose our own course policies (ie: using notes on exams, how much exams were weighted, word count for assignments). You can tell she cares about her students/their success. She explains concepts really well and she encourages the class to paricipate and ask questions, and she is not a harsh grader. If you are looking for an easy BLAW class, this is it!

We got to choose how we were graded and we chose open note and open book for all the tests. The tests were easy with that help. The only time you have to show up is for the Role Play activities and as long as you follow her instructions you should get a good grade. Also, she gives out extra credit. She got back to my emails quickly as well.

The best professor I've had since starting school. The tests were open book/notes. There's a good bit of reading but of course it can't all be easy. Also, a ton of extra credit so there's no excuse for failing her class.

TAKE HER!!! A great class if you pay attention and the discussions are quite fun! She let us vote on our syllabus policies so all tests were open-book and exams werent worth much. She even encouraged having the book in another window while taking a test. Uses homework system so impossible to fail. Sweet woman who just wants to see us succeed.

TAKE HER! Professor Dutcher is amazing. She lets the class decide how the classes will be graded. There were SmartBook assignments, discussions, exams, and a final. The SB and discussions counted more towards the grade than the actual exams. The tests are a little difficult but she lets you have your notes and the textbook to help during the exam.

I love her she is a great professor very accesible. The class gets to decide the class policies and the grading scale. She responds in a timely manner. TAKE HER!

Do yourself a favor and take her. She is the best prof i have ever had here in KSU and she makes you WANT to be there. In the beginning of the semester, she lets you chose class policies as a class. If you class choses well, then youll have open book/notes Exams. Weekly Smartbook assignments, role-play w/ a written response. Super easy take her!!!!

Absolutely take Professor Dutcher! She is awesome, and it was a pleasure taking her this semester. She allows the class to choose their own policies, so depending on your class, all of your tests may be open book. Tests shouldn't be a problem, she offers plenty of extra credit, and weekly assignments and participation are straightforward.

If you fail this class it's literally all your fault. Professor Dutcher is one of the best professors I have had. She is kind and KNOWS HER STUFF. Attendance is not mandatory, but she is a very good teacher so why not attend? She literally sets this class up so that you won't fail.

She is one of the most enthusiastic professors I've had. The class is not hard, and as long as you do your online homework and show up for occasional in class grades and do the tests, you will succeed. Her lectures aren't mandatory but worth attending, as she is clearly very knowledgeable and a good communicator. The in class assignments were fun.

Super easy. She gives out lots of extra credit. She also lets you outline your class, how grades are weighted, etc. I always hear how awful BLAW is, but she made the class a breeze.

AMAZING. Professor Dutcher truly cares about her students and WANTS them to succeed. Everything on the test was covered in the textbook, Connect assignments, discussions, material, AND practice quizzes. AND SHE PROVIDES EXTRA CREDIT. There is truly no way to do bad in this class unless you are completely lazy. No proctored exam. Free final answers.

Took professor Cristen Dutcher for online BLAW. She was so amazing and helpful. Professor Cristen Dutcher truly wanted you to succeed in the class and cared about your grade. She was always willing to help and let you make up certain assignments when needed.

This professor is wonderful! She is very accessible, and makes it easy to feel heard even for shy people. Very caring, and a very fair grader. There are weekly assignments, but nothing that isn't manageable.

She is empathetic and her class is so easy to understand. 90% of the class is through connect, you pick your course policies, makeup work is allowed. Take her class you wont regret it!

One of the best teachers. Her lectures were engaging and informative. She lets the class vote on the "Class Policies" at the beginning, such as the grading policy and make-up policy. The written assignment option will seem like the best. However, your class should choose the Test Heavy option as all tests are online. Either way, it's an easy A.

If your a business major or need to take BLAW 2200 this professor is the one for you. This class is very straight forward and if you read the text and show up for class you will have no problems. The tests are not difficult and she gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit. There are role play activities you should show up for. Great class!

Prof Dutcher is EASILY the best prof I've had at KSU. Pick your own assignment weights, uses MCGHill, and tests are straightforward. Super caring and constant reminders of due dates so it's easy to stay on track. Honestly looking for another opportunity to take her again because she was THAT great!!

Very easy course to take in the summer but it is very homework and reading heavy. You select your course policies at the beginning of the semester and chose your grading scale as well. If you do everything including the bonus quizzes for bonus points, there is absolutely no way you'll fail this class. Awesome professor, great energy.

Christen is AWESOME! I would take her again ten times. She is very kind and cares for her students, even sends out congratulation emails for good grades, etc. Clearly goes the extra mile. The entire class is opinion based, you can not go wrong.

Professor Dutcher was so amazing! Fight to get into her class! She really makes learning the material fun and relatable. She allowed us to vote on how we would be graded and how the class was run. All of our exams were open not with multiple extra credit opportunities. You would have to try to do poorly in this class!

Dutcher is one of the best professors I have ever had. She is super knowledgeable and very caring. You will do roleplays in groups during class, but they are very straightforward and you learn a lot! I can't recommend Dutcher enough. TAKE HER!!

OVERALL AMAZING!!!! Tests are online with no lockdown! Roleplay's are easy to do and the final project is a total breeze. Accessible and open to schedule one on one if need be. Let's students choose class guidelines and syllabus. Take her if you can it is an EASY A!!!!!!

Very energetic and enjoyable professor, went through each chapter step-by-step & made an effort to be transparent about tested material. Group roleplay assignments were frustrating at times but overall uncomplicated, and she made an effort to keep everyone engaged for such a long class. Dense material, online HW & exams, overall good class.

Great professor! She is super nice, and the assignments are all easy and pretty much just a completion grade for everything (Including Smartbooks! It doesn't matter what you make on it, as long as you complete it). Your class will decide on how everything is weighted (grading wise), word count for assignments, and whether or not tests are open book

She is amazing overall. She lets the class chose syllabus criteria including what will be allowed to use on tests. Very minimal effort and EASY A.

A great teacher, she knows what she is teaching and was always very prompt with returning emails, always open for discussion, and gave plenty of extra credit along the way, I would take her for additional classes and would recommend her, the class was well laid out and followed along the syllabus, test were from the studied material.

She the best professor. Her tests are open note/no lockdown. But some questions on test won't be on online "resources". Very easy grader that her project is very fun to do. Take her if you don't like tests that are webcam/lockdown because she makes her class very stress free and accommodating.

Such an Easy A! Just turn the work in on time and you're set. Everything is open book open note. Professor Dutcher is so sweet too! Gives you a lot of resources to succeed and even sends congratulatory emails on your exam. Responds really quick. This class was not stressful at all, it was a breeze. If you don't get an A, something's wrong with you.

She allows you to create your syllabus. If everyone in class agrees to have an open notes test, she will allow. She is also very caring and gives great feedback to your assignment. The tests are hard, but if you read the textbook and have it open when you take it, you should do well. Weekly discussion, smartbook on Connect, 4 test, and final paper

Professor Dutcher is the best. She is knowledgeable, easy to communicate with, & cares about her students. She offers different learning tools which helped relate the material to real life and made it easier to understand. The tests are HARD, but she gives feedback, tips on how to improve and opportunities for extra credit!

Great professor. Very helpful, very responsive. Always willing to answer questions outside of class time. With that said, the class was pretty hard, a lot of info to digest. Her tests were written like the LSAT is probably written. be ready for the tests. As long as you do all the other work, you will be fine.
