Although he had an accent, he compensated you by taking the time and explain anything . Yes he smoked, but that has nothing to do with us, is what we call personal. I passed the class with an A(104%). Tests where easy, ofcourse if you study, also gives extra credit and each is added to the tests

this romanian genius is absolutely the best. clear writing and speech. i think he lowered himself a lot to teach this class. he is brilliant. his favorite phrase is "dat is a easy stuff". everyone in our class really learns a lot and he has a great sense of humor. the girls in the class think he's hot. gives out extra points, easy to pass.

I took his computer course class, super easy. he explains everything very well and as long as you did the work on your own time you got atleast a "B." he also gives a lot of extra credit!

Mr. Sabau is a cool professor, he explains algebra in a way no other teacher can. Unlike other algebra professors he spends allot of time on the board to make sure you understand. And volunteers to help you in lab, I highly recomend him.

HOT ROMANIAN! I FAILED B/C I DIDN'T STUDY.

he's easy if you pay attention. give you a practice test to take home a week before the test that has similar questions to the actual test. quizzes are online and at the end he chooses the best 10 grades and makes that a test grade. 6 or 7 tests in total, two are take home at the end of the semester.

lots of extra credit. if you don't take advantage that's your fault. do not miss classes though, he does cover alot of material, usually a section, per class. i am in no way a math whiz, and i was able to ace this class.

I love this prof. HE is extremely good at explaining material. LAID BACK. Attendance not necessary. BUt if you have perfect attendance you drop ur 2 lowest grades. (not necessary) HW not necessary but "recommended" EASY AS HELL! im taking him again! highly recommend to anyone!

Mostly uses online HW & Quizes, but tests are in class. He gives you extra credit, drops lowest grade, and gives seconds chances on quizes.

Excellent class and instructor! Very cool guy, He's laid back and chill. There wasn't any textbook used, only MathXL. It has an online textbook included, but was unnecessary because the online homework he gives teaches everything 100%. There is a huge room for a student to improve his/her grade in this class, I wish every class was like this.

He is really laid back all you need is Math XL no text book at all. All the homework is online which is nice. Just do NOT wait until the last day to do the work, it will kill you, its not hard its just a lot to sit and do at once.

He is awesome!! Doesnt check attendance. There is a hw assignment and a quiz to go along with the hw every single class but you can take them unlimited amounts of times and they are not due until the very last class meeting. 1 or 2 take home tests and very clear on explaining what needs to be done. I would take him again and again if i needed to!!!

After years of struggling with math I finally get it!!! This is a non plus ultra teacher. If you do not understand his classes then go work at cleaning floors! He turns you into an genius! The professor is super calm, and always check our exercises so he can help us in case we get stuck in something. He doesn't require a book, just the online MathXL. I had 2 questions for him and he showed me exactly how to do the problems. 2 wks left and currently have a 107 average. I haven't taken algebra in 30 yrs! Easy A.

This is my 2nd time taking Professor Sabau. You would be a fool not to take him. He wants to make sure you understand, gives great notes, no textbook requirement and MATHXL only hammers the information in more. He offers extra credit on exams and he doesn't do mid-terms or a cumulative final exam. Drops the lowest exam, and lowest 18 quizzes too.

Great Professor. All tests are multiple choice and his reviews are almost the same as the actual test. gives 10 points extra credit if you do the online test review which will drastically help you in your test grade. I will not say that this class was an easy A, because I had to study very hard for it. I took him for the 2hr and 45 min session. Very rarely did we have to stay the whole time. I took his 3 hour course every Friday and it was quite boring because his voice is kind of monotone. I've had the pleasure of having Professor Sabau, 3 times now. While any college level math is challenging, he pushes you to do your best and he wants ALL of his students to successful in his class. Yes he offers all the mentioned extra credit and 1 dropped exam grade, but what's different is that he really cares about his students. He's the best.

I like his method and way of teaching, even though it's a hard course he gives a lot of help with the extra credit and quizzes. He helps the students by teaching how to use the calculator by learning the formulas. He gives plenty of opportunity to make up on any tests that you miss.

This was my 1st math class taken in college and I was pretty nervous, but this professor helped me out so much. Not only is he a great teacher, but he is funny in his lectures too. He gives 5 exams and you are able to drop the lowest exam and there are 20 quizzes and he drops the last 5 quizzes. The extra credit gives 10pts on top of exam score.

Make sure you take his class, he makes it possible to get an easy A or B. Just ask for help, and he will make sure you understand. Get on his good side, and you will have fun. He discusses the homework in class to the point of exhaustion, and the tests can be very difficult... but if you study, you will have no problems.

OMG he is AMAZING! I have never written a review on a teacher before but I had to. I needed to pass this class to graduate Dec. of 2015. I was struggling so hard & when I say he did EVERYTHING possible to help me pass I mean it. This man stayed almost every night with me after class helping me & explaining to me the HW and quizzes. He truly cares!

TAKE HIM! If you're looking for a professor that breaks down the content to you in a way that you can understand, then he is perfect for you. The labs may feel overwhelming, but do them and the review. The reviews are your exam. Also, he is always there if you need any help at all.. Just reach out. I am NOT A MATH person what so ever. I have dropped every math class I have ever been in except his. There is hope for me after all!! Seriously though I love this guy! He is fabulous. I am currently in intermediate algebra and I just registered for Mac1105 with him next semester. I will not let him get away.

Really nice guy and does plenty of examples. His test reviews are helpful but do not cover all topics on the test. The test review is much easier than the actual test. His tests are very short so if you get a few wrong your grade quickly drops. However,you can earn up to 10 points extra credit on each test.

If you hate math TAKE HIM. He breaks down the problems so that you understand. He is a very good math professor.

So happy I took professor Sabau, math is not easy for me, but with all of his examples I passed all of the exams. He takes the time to explain everything, doesn't go fast, he stays at students pace. If you are not good with math, than this is the professor to take!

If you aren't good in math and don't have time to study then i wouldn't suggest you taking the 6 wks class, you'll get overwhelmed. It's alot of homework and quiz to complete in mystatlab. He is a good professor though.

I'm currently taking Business Calculus and he's a great professor. He makes the concepts very clear and easy to understand. He goes over the calculations slowly step by step. He's always willing to help you with your questions. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

Never taken statistics before? Then Professor Sabau is the professor for you! He gives tons of extra credits and the entire class is taught through a calculator so you don't have to worry about memorizing any complex formulas. I'm not the best at math and I got an A. Took the blended class.

Professor Sabau is a great professor. He has a good pesonality, as well as he responds to questions during class or through email. Just do the quizzes and test with the extra credit and you are good. I passed with an A, but you MUST buy the mystatlab access code, no textbook.

Professor Sabau is Very Caring, I took him for liberal arts over the summer. Great Lectures, He gives extra credit, and the homework counts toward your grade, You have to buy the code for Mymathlab so you dont need the book, If the class ask he will make the test online test. I got and 87 in the class without taking the final.

This professor is hands down a very mellow person and it honestly makes the course easier to understand in my opinion. He takes his time and gives different ways to solve problems. He also provides extra credit opportunities and the homework does count as a grade. His exams are in class as well as online and it definitely helps to participate!

Prof. Sabau was hands down the best teacher, he would remove questions from the HW on Pearson and give 18 questions MAX. Extra credit prior to taking exams with unlimited tries to get 100%. Most of the work is done on MyMathLab. He does the homework in class after the lecture, to show specific problems and has you write it down as examples. I didn't go to class much and learned most of it from MyMathLab. His tests were short and pretty easy. He also allowed for us to complete any work after due date, at the end of semester on Mathlab

After not being in school for 20 years, I was very scared to take math. I was truly blessed to be in Professor Sabau's class. Easy A.

Took Prof. Sabau for Fundamentals of Math. Reasoning and his class was a breeze. Attendance is not mandatory but if you skip, you may miss out on a lot of important info. He gives a lot of extra credit opportunities .

I think he is good professor but I didnt like the way he taught statistics compared to my sta1001 professor but overall you will learn. He will drop your 5 lowest quizzes and gives you a lot of extra credit. Its really important to know the formulas because you won't be allowed to bring anything in the testing center except your calculator.

This man is the best! His class was an easy A. Had to buy mystat lab where hw quizzes and test were taken. Study a little for his test and you will be fine. Everything is solved on a calculator.

I really enjoyed taking Prof Sabau. Hes caring and understanding. Takes his time explaining, and funny at times. I genuinely enjoyed taking him and I highly recommend him, I had a blended class but he really is a great teacher you wont be disappointed, he gives a lot of extra credit and helps you with deadlines.

Professor Sabau is great and made Stats easy. I suck with Math and our class was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic which switched our on-campus learning experience online in the middle of the semester. The transition was seamless and I passed with an A. I highly recommend Professor Sabau.

This class is an easy A. Professor Sabau does everything he can to make sure you understand and get a good grade. All you have to do for this class is show up, pay attention, and do the homework assignments. I would so take this class again. He made Stats easy. He is a very caring and understanding professor.

Math is not by best subject at all. However he is THE best teacher that i have taken in years. He allows you to understand and explains so that you can move forward. Such an amazing professor, especially during a pandemic. Lots of extra credit. If you fail its because you didn't try.

Professor Sabau is great, he explains everything and gives you examples of how to do the homework, so you will understand how to do it on your own. He responds to you in time and assists you with anything that you do not understands. Great Professor takes him if you want to understand Math better.

I previously withdrew from Statistics with another professor and was afraid to take it again, but Sabau was ah-mazing and made the class super easy! Attending class is a must, and make sure to do all your assignments. He gives numerous attempts on exams and teaches "elementary" style which may be annoying to some but was a blessing to me.

Professor Sabau explains the topics very well and step by step. He would also help you and review with you as many times as you want any topic that you did not understand. He made math feels very easy and is very patient and understanding.

Ms.r Sabau is without a doubt the best professor I've taken. His class was easy and he helps you understand the material until you get it. We had to do the assignments on Pearson and tests every 2 weeks but they were easy and he did the homework with us in class all the time. I honestly was so scared of taking stats because I thought it was going to be hard, but Professor Sabu made it hands down easiest math class, nothing to stress about and made the lessons he taught sooo simple and not too much homework, he's such a sweetheart. All you basically need for this class is a ti83 or 84.

If You want to Pass Statistics TAKE HIS CLASS - He teach to understand - he responds quickly to emails and the work is so easy because he teach you how to do it step by step. Theres only 4 test and 1 final which is super easy

I was terrified to take stats but this professor is one of my best teachers. 5 exams, 1 is dropped. Hw and quizzes for each section, which was all due at the end of the semester with no penalty. Extra credit was offered for every single exam. Study by practicing the reviews because they're almost identical to the exam. Make sure you get the TI-84!

The best statistics teacher I have taken. He explains the material really well. Gonna need a TI 84 calculator but amazing and easy class

Try to attend every class because if you miss one you might get lost. Overall the class was very easy as most of the work is done on the calculator. Very sweet though and he is not a tough grader at all.

I was really happy to take this class. He had a PowerPoint ready for us for every lesson, went over the homework, and lectured at a pace that everyone understood. I hated Stats but I learned to love it because of him. He also has extra credit for us that went towards our exams so it is literally impossible to fail his class.

He is by far the best math teacher I've ever gotten. He prepares for each lectures with power points and goes in depth with definition and terms. Offers extra credit for the exams. You will take the exams in the testing center but it is no hassle because everyone passes the exams, he is that good.

I took a fast paced course with this professor. Lectures were straight to the point and were based on the homework. HW, quizzes, and exams all have a 7 day window to complete. He drops the lowest exam grade at the end of the semester. Very flexible teacher and would definitely recommend!

Professor Sabau is the best. He makes the class simple and is clear on the tests. There is a lot of homework but it's simple. The tests are like practice exams and he gives plenty of extra credit. He does care about his students and is trying to make the class aware of it. Just listen to him, go to class and get the calculator he tells you.

I took STA2023 over the summer. The class was a month long, and all of the assignments and quizzes were online. 80% of your grade is tests and 20% of your grade is quizzes. IT'S NOTHING TO STRESS ABOUT though - you can repeat quizzes as many times as you need, and the tests (taken at the testing center) have very similar questions to the quizzes.

Professor Sabau and the couse were really easy, I took the class fast paced and we had a test like every week but they were about to topics so it was really easy to get along. I totally recommend this professor if you are doubting

HIs lectures are short and clear, he explains the material well, he is light on the mathlab homework(!!!) and he gives test reviews that make his classes impossible to fail. Take him.

Professor Sabau makes the course so easy. He does not waste time on explanations that are not necessary. He teaches step by step the exercises and is always looking for a way to make it easier for the students. I had 3 classes with him and got an A on all three. If you do the homework you get an easy A.

He was one of the best professors I've ever had for Math. He truly makes it hard to fail, the hw and quizzes are easy and he teaches it like its elementary. Professor Sabau's class was interesting even for me as not a fan of math. He explains clearly, with examples, and is always eager to help you succeed. This was a blended course, so you had to attend the testing center.

This is the only class I have taken in which I learned math. The professor cares about students learning the material, and he provides many exercises to practice and prepare for the exams. If you do the homework, you will pass his class as long as you put in the effort.

I'd highly recommend taking his class. I took him the summer and he was my easiest class. He doesn't use the equations or the book. He teaches the math based on his own experience and it's brilliant. As long as you pay attention to his class and participate you'll easily ace his class. he's also quite funny making a math class fun to go to.

Professor Sabau is the best, he makes the material very good for learning online, he cares about students and statistics became an easy topic teached by him.

All of the homework, quizzes and tests are on Pearson. Only the test are proctored, had to take them in the testing center (had a week window to complete). Very easy professor, material wasn't difficult, I wouldn't recommend missing a class since most material is solved by the calculator steps and no written formulas. Best math teach by far.

Best professor ever! I took both STA2023 and MAC2105 with him, and I loved both classes. He explains everything super clearly and is always willing to help if you don't understand something. You can totally reach out to him, and he'll make sure you get it. He's super nice, gives extra credit, and truly cares about his students.

Outstanding professor, I have had many classes with him now, and I can assure you he's one of the best. One thing you need to take into account is that the responsibility of the classes relies heavily on your responsibility, since you will need to complete your homework to get access to exams.

Take him for an easy A. He teaches you the efficient way to do problems. The homework will prepare you for the test. If you have more math questions that go deeper, he definitely can answer them. BUT if you want to pursue a STEM degree, stay memorizing the unit circle. Don't be reliant on the cheat sheet and keep your brain sharp for Calc & beyond.

Professor Sabau is amazing before this semester. I took statistics with another teacher, and I withdrew because I didn't understand at all. On the other hand in this class it felt like I understood everything. His assignments aren't too much. They are just perfect. If I had to recommend a teacher it would for sure be him.
