I would not recommend taking her class because she is rarely available outside of class and has an issue with being wrong (doesn't understand she makes mistakes). Also she makes students feel wrong or stupid for asking questions or not understanding. She was nice to me sometimes I guess.

Professor Fuentes is extremely hard on students. She isn't aware of the fact that she can make mistakes and will always turn it on her students. She gives a lot of homework that is busy work and SUPER unnecessary. Plus you don't really learn from it. She doesn't give warnings when she will post them and sometimes only gives you a day in advance.

She isn't clear on what is on the quizzes and tests. Lots of homework on Cengage and then canvas assignments. Not very accommodating and kinda judges you when you get something wrong.

Expects you to know chapters before showing up to class. Lots of information in lectures but doesn't give you learning objectives for exams, hard to know what to study. Caring and optimistic but you have to teach yourself and beware of pop quizes. Had a difficult time as fluent speaker because it was hard to know what was going to be on the exams.

Profesora Fuentes' heritage speakers 201 class was enjoyable. Her class requires work and a lot of studying but her class id doable as long as there is effort. The assignments are pretty simple too, as long as you study and do practices the tests are average. She really cares and is available to help you when you need it. I liked this class a lot.

This class was easy but attendance is important and there is a lot of homework. She wastes a lot of time in class with small group discussions that go on for way too long. It didn't seem like she had a plan for most of her lessons and her grading scale isn't great so most assignments won't influence your grade at all.

I really enjoyed the readings in our class. As long as you participate and complete assignments you'll be fine. Classes were chill, we did a lot of group discussions which allowed us to share and feel comfortable. I am kinda shy so this helped me. She leads discussion and we go over course readings and important topics with our groups.

I love Dr. Fuentes! She is one of the best Spanish teachers I have ever had! She is sweet and helpful. She teaches in Spanish and I think that's why I learned so much! I wish she could have been my 102 professor. Take her if you want to learn Spanish.

Professor Fuentes is really nice in class, but she doesn't admit to mistakes whenever she makes them. She also assigns way too much homework. She also always talks about how good her website is but its so horrible, I hate that I have to go to it in order to find practice material. She is a nice person but I probably would not take her ever again.

Love Fuentes! She is so funny and truly cares about student success. She creates a comfortable learning environment and provides A LOT of resources/help for tests. Out of my 5 years learning spanish, I improved the most here. Not an easy A so if you have no passion, I don't recommend but if you want a fun time are willing to work/learn, take her!❤️

She's is a solid professor! She provides ALL material for you to succeed. If you don't want to study or want an easy A don't take her class. But if you want to learn, she's one of the best!

Took her FFC course, she created a very relaxed environment. We did A LOT of group discussions. You had to do reading at home and then we discussed them in our groups and as a class. Assignments were okay....more opinion based. She's friendly.

She is really nice and really teaches the language. You can get a good grade but you have to know the material, some concepts are difficult but she is good at breaking them down.

She is one of the most organized professors I have ever taken. You has an awesome website where you can find EVERYTHING. Pay attention in class and you will be fine. She is nice and understanding but follows program policies.

She's wrong a lot and doesn't admit it which is frustrating for native speakers trying to check a box. She also seems outwardly intimidated by students she thinks know more than her. I think she could make a good teacher for younger kids but doesn't seem to fit in college.
