Professor Packard is awesome. She's a great teacher and really cares about her students. If you're struggling, she will do her best to help you. The material isn't easy but it's pre-calc, there's not really a way around that. I definitely recommend taking this class with her. Need textbook for MyMathLab.

Everything is super organized, the work load is manageable, she's available to help, there really is no reason to not get an A. Attendance is "optional" but you really shouldn't miss because you might miss something important.

She assigns written and online homework weekly. She creates study guides and holds review sessions before each test too! Take her!!! Best teacher ever!!!

Ms. Packard is one of BEST teachers you can have for math. She is extremely helpful and super nice. She's always in a good mood and says "peachy" to everything. Material gets tough as semester goes by but she helps you tremendously! take her! Also, go to class and pay attention, that's really all you need to do to get an A in this class.

She is extremely nice, and there for her students. I just didn't like the teaching style or calculus in general so I'm a little bias in that regard. Lot of homework throughout the year. I didn't like when she singled kids out. That was my problem. I felt like she got upset when she had to explain things twice for some kids. Just wasn't my favorite.

Did a great job at teaching. Her tests and quizzes are very straight forward, and she puts a lot of the notes up online. She was always happy to answer questions, and was always in a good mood. I'd definitely take her again! Just come to class and you'll do fine.

In my opinion, Packard was a good teacher. She explains each unit well and gives plenty of examples. She also gives you a plethora of materials that you can practice with. But beware, she will take your cell phone if she sees it, there's a lot of homework (only 12% or overall grade) and her tests are half online and half written.

Packard is overall a really great teacher. I came into college absolutely hating math and horrible in it and she makes it a lot easier to understand. She's also really nice and will try to crack a joke every once in a while. There can be a lot of homework at times but it's the same type of questions on her quizzes/tests. TAKE HER

Mrs. Packard is GREAT. Her teaching style is very easy to understand and she offers extra credit opportunities. She gives out many resources to help study from and genuinely cares about her students. She makes math fun to learn. Although there is a lot of homework, its worth it. Dont expect to pass without putting in effort. TAKE HER!!!

Cares about students passing classes, if you do the work and come for extra help, she is extremely helpful. She doesn't treat it like a college class where she is here to lecture and that is it, she is very personal and knows everyones name, likes to chat and is very lively. If that isn't your kinda teacher she isn't for you, but I love this woman.

Mrs. Packard was AMAZING! Such a caring professor that always made sure the students did well. The class was very test based, so be sure that you understand the material prior to the exam. Had homework every class but it was pretty easy and helped you prepare for the test. I would 100% take her!!!

The type of instructor that remembers the class by name. Cares and remembers how you specifically are doing. Very straightforward with material and will help you if you don't know something. Fair, super nice, highly recommend.

This professor teaches all units thoroughly and goes through examples with you - Plus, she opens up quizzes for a second attempt. She cares about her students (I lost a relative and she consoled me in her office - She ACTUALLY cares), knows their names, and WANTS you to pass - She invites everyone to office hours and she gives test reviews.

If you struggle with Math you should definitely take her class. She really cares about her students and would not let you fail her class. As long as you put in the effort you should be good. Class consist of 3 Test and a cumulative final exam, a quiz for each chapter and homework for each section.

In a nutshell, she's awesome! If she sees you in class and putting in effort, she will not let you fail. You do not need to be an expert in pre-calc to do well in her class, since she explains all concepts thoroughly. You don't need to be a genius for an A! definitely recommend taking her if you can.

Professor Packard is amazing, if you're in 211 and you don't have Ms. Packard drop whoever you have and sign up for her. Especially if you struggle in math. She really cares about her students and wants everyone to pass. Take advantage of all the resources she offers because they will help you pass. And don't think about texting during class.

If you have to take 115 take it with her. Provides extra credit on every exam. She is the BEST teacher I've had so far. If you try your hardest you can get an A, she provides you with all the materials you need to be successful as long as you study. Homework takes hours a week but any calc class would. She's funny, she won't leave anyone behind.

I love Professor Packard. Although the class is not an easy A, it is possible. She gives you a note card for every exam. She also teaches you short cuts in a calculator for you to double check your answer. If you want to pass, show up to class, make a good note card, and do your homework/quizzes.

Absolutely one of my favorite teachers ever. Her style is fantastic for all kinds of learners, she's funny, relates the material to the real world making it easier to understand. Listen to her when she tells you how to pass the class. Show up and do the work and you'll be fine. She's very fair and accessible and will work w/ you if needed.

Hands down one of the best teachers at Towson. If you need MATH211, TAKE HER! She explains things so well and helps out so much. She does not like phones, so stay off of it during class. It is because she cares about all students. If you pay attention, listen, do homeworks/quizzes, you will do fine. Class is not hard if you try.

The material is hard if your not good w/ numbers. There's A LOT of HW and quizzes. Do all of it! It should be said that professor Packard HATES PHONES! She wants/deserves your full attention while you're in class. She always available either after class or email. I will always choose her for math.

Most adorable lady. The material wasn't the most interesting but she made it easier to understand. She goes over everything you need to know without giving you work that you wont use when it comes to the test. Tests are always based on stuff she goes over in the review.

Professor Packard is sweet, I definitely had to work hard in this class because I'm by no means a mathematician. Her exams are based off the reviews but with a twist. As long as you understand the concepts and can apply it to whatever funky problem on the test, you are golden. As miserable as the hw was, do all of it!

Professor Packard is awesome. challenging class but will work with you to help you have a better understanding. test are 80% based on the reviews. go to the review sessions if you need help! she also allows you to have a notecard on your test which is helpful and gives out extra credit for each exam.

Dr. Packard is a true gem. I had several friends recommend I take her calculus course, I'm so glad I did. Not to sound cheesy, but I legit learned so much more from her than just calculus material. She's an amazing professor and a wonderful mentor. She cares so much about her students, goes out of her way to make it easier for us, she's the best!

What a beautiful soul. An icon. Expect 1-1.5 hours of homework a night. She REALLY wants you to learn the material and genuinely cares about her students. Be careful though, this is NOT an easy A. Professor will do everything in her power to help you learn, but ultimately it's you who has to put in the work.

Took this course during the summer and it was rigorous but doable. Take this class with her you wont regret it. She gives tons of extra credit and my classmates where so helpful. She gives tons of helpful advice on how to pass. She exceeded my expectations and so did my grade.

Calculus is just a difficult math topic if you haven't taken it before but she truely teaches you each concept and if you need more help with a certain area she will help. She gives extra credit opportunities but dont rely on them because each will only bring you up like 1%. Studying or at least staying on top of the material is important overall.

I love Mrs. Packard! She was my best teacher during the semester. The material can get kind of hard, but if you come to class and pay attention, you will be fine. She gives you a lot of chances to get a good grade. DO YOUR EXTRA CREDIT! Make sure you do your MathXL homework. But if you are struggling, she is really helpful. LOVE HER CLASS!

She is a true gem. I remember fearing calculus in high school, but she makes it easy. I was a C math student and I finished with a 96%. If you put the work in this class is doable and just like me you may be very impressed with what you're able to do. Put the work in and ask for help when needed and it's fail proof.

Professor Packard was the best teacher I had during the virtual classes! She was the best math teacher I ever had. She is soooo helpful! She also gives you the chance for a lot of extra credit. If you need help, she is more than willing to meet with you outside of class. Just make sure you make an effort, and you will pass. Take her class!

Ok listen, if you're CIS and need to take this or Calc 1 , TAKE 211 WITH HER. She's sweet, she's funny, she will answer every question you have. There's lots of extra credit and she lets you do hw, quizzes, and EC together as a class. Like, if you need math 211, take it with Prof Packard, you'll save yourself a lot tears.

Prof Packard is AMAZING. If you have to take calculus, 100% take her. Of course calculus is hard, but she explains everything so well and will answer any and every question you have. She offers so much extra credit and really makes an effort to try and get all of her students to do well in the class. She has a great personality & makes class fun!

Very difficult class, but she does a great job walking you through the material. Lectures could have been recorded consistently & not just b/c she personally knew a student who missed class. The reviews can be helpful but make sure you study ALL of the math lab hw. Some of the qs on the review or in class never show up on exams. DO NOT MISS CLASS.

Greatest math teacher. The subject seems hard at first but if you just follow her notes its not that hard. DO THE HOMEWORK not worth much but the exams are and the exams are about 95 percent of what the homework problems are like. Shes a really nice teacher and actually cares about her students.

Professor P was by far the best Professor I’ve had at Towson. The class is VERY difficult but she teaches it the best. Super kind but she will 100% keep going with the material so keep up. Do the homework and the extra credit- its a lifesaver. Also, do yourself a favor and don’t miss class. It’s VERY hard to teach yourself calculus.

Professor Packard has been my favorite professor so far at Towson. She is the type to know the whole class by name. CALC is a hard class in general but she makes it easy to understand. A lot of extra credit and allows a notecard on all exams. Very nice and funny. Always in a good mood even if it's early in the morning.

Exams are 75% of grade. DO NOT SKIP CLASS!! A great teacher if you show up & put in effort. Super caring ab her students and funny. If you think this is an easy class you're wrong, but if you must take it TAKE HER. Xtra credit adds 3% onto grade. If you miss class you'll fall behind. Prof is great at explaining things & will help outside of class.

If you have to take 211, strongly recommend taking her. Calculus is hard but if you have a not-so-good professor it'll be worse. She makes class entertaining and she takes the time to go over anything you don't understand. The course itself is not easy, so study and go to class if you want to do well. She'll be helpful if you're helping yourself.

Don't skip this class every class is so important!! She is a phenomenal professor. One of the best! Cares about her students and knows everyones name. Very accessible outside of class. This class is not easy and she will not just pass you, but understand the HW, you will need it for the test.

Professor knows the class is hard and she is always willing to help students as much as she can. Im not good at math and never have been but she will work with you as much as she can. She is also very helpful if you talk to her during office hours.

Professor P is truly a gem. If you have to take MATH 211 PLEASE do yourself a favor and take it with her, you won't regret it at all. She's very accessible outside of class and will go over anything you're confused about, but you have to put in an effort to get the grade you desire as calculus is not an easy course whatsoever.

Professor Packard is one of my favorite professors at Towson. if you have to take math 211 take Packard. She's very adamant about working together and attendance isn't mandatory but I wouldn't recommend missing a class because you will fall behind. She genuinely cares for her students and wants them to succeed.

Take this class or unnecessarily challenge yourself with a difficult professor. There is a lot of work for this class so be ready to work hard. She makes the class enjoyable sometimes. Ill advise you to do good on the first exam. The foundational skills in this class are what's most important since you will bring everything together in the final.

Calculus is not an easy class, but if you have a decent understanding of algebra you will likely do fine. Her exam reviews prepare you well for the exam. She does take her phone policy seriously, but only because you really do have to pay attention in this class to succeed. She genuinely wants to connect with her students and wants them to pass

She is an amazing teacher and if you do not understand you can ask her for another example of a problem or just try the homework problems to help. The homework can be a little much at times but it gives you good practice problems and the test is much easier than anything in the homework. She is extremely understanding but plays favoritism at times!

Best math professor I have ever had, my math skills are weak and this was the first math class I have taken since HS and I was able to pass. She is amazing and I wouldn't have been able to pass this class with any other professor!

Professor Packard is amazing! She made Calculus easy to understand, as long as you show up to class. Not sure what some of these reviews mean by "passive aggressive" as she's actually "aggressive aggressive," especially when it comes to using cellphones in class LOL. Personally I liked Professor Packard. She doesn't sugar coat anything about the class being extremely hard, but she does her best to help, answers questions, and she encourages coming to her office hours. Missing a class will really hurt you. It is a tough class but as long as you do your hw, quizzes, and show up then you will be fine

The material is very difficult, but with Professor Packards method of teaching it became easier to understand. Attend EVERY class, study for exams, and complete the online HW/ quizzes and you will pass. She has lots of office hours, and makes it a strict rule to put away phones, which can be annoying but ultimately forces you to pay attention.

Mrs. Packard makes an obvious effort to build a personal connection with her students and she provides many extra credit opportunities. Her exams are fairly close to the practice problems she does with you class. She's the first teacher that I've had who has clearly explained these concepts.

Geniunely wants you to learn the material. Calculus is already hard enough don't SKIP class. If you don't get it she'll explain things differently to help you understand. Print her powerpoints, it makes the world of a difference. Do your homework early on, go to the tutoring and learning centre for sure. She loves when we come to office hours.

When taking this amazing professor, remember that the lectures are EVERYTHING. Attendance wasn't required but I would encourage you to go. She is definitely a firecracker so get prepared! She is the reason I am able to actually understand math. Calc is really hard and she acknowledges that but really wants people to pass and try. You have to go to class to pass the exams. Homework once a week and exam reviews before the exams. Genuinely one of my favorite professors at Towson and have a really good relationship with her.

I loved taking this class, while calculus itself is a very difficult subject she really made sure her students understood the material always reading the room and making sure the individuals did not have a confused look in their eyes. I would take this class with her again if I needed to and if you are taking Application calculus take it with her.

Professor Packard is the best professor out there for MATH 211. As others have said, Calc is extremely tough, but her personality and willingness to help her students make her class distinctive to others and simple to navigate. She mitigates any confusion before proceeding with her teachings, and she cares a lot for her students.

Nonetheless she is really nice and genuinely cares about her students and always offers any extra credit opportunity when it is needed. She explains concepts well to the point I understood a math concept I never grasped ever since middle school; that's how good she is.

As hard as the class is, Professor Packard is amazing. She makes the class doable and genuinely tries to make it as easy as possible to pass. She's very understanding, and really entertaining. If you want someone who is really nice, fun, and knows what they are teaching, take her. Coming from someone who's struggling in the class, she's a 10/10.

Math has never been my strong suit. And I mean it. For context, I took Math 115 3 times. For real. I was in a different Math 211 class at the beginning of the semester, and I switched to Professor Packard. And I don't regret a thing. I finally understood math; better yet, I had fun doing it. Dr. Packard is the best professor and I would highly recommend taking her. I will say she tends to get distracted a lot but she still manages to teach what she needs to. I've literally never had a math teacher as amazing as Professor Packard. I took calc in high school and I failed miserably, so I was nervous to take it again. She does an amazing job explaining concepts outside of just the numbers and equations. Like I actually understood what was going on outside of just doing the math. Best math teacher ever!!!!!

Very vocal with what she feels. Very giving with points on assignments if you show the work. Can go very quickly over concepts and problems but just ask her to slow down and give more examples. Cares for her students. Can get off topic a lot but going to class is very helpful for the course. Highly recommend doing Pearson practice for exams.

There is online homework and quizzes as well as in person quizzes. Two exams and a final. Final can replace the lowest test grade up to 80%. Gives lots of extra credit and genuinely wants every student to pass.

TAKE HERRR!! She cares about her students and likes to know them personally. she funny and will change her teaching tactics if she thinks it's not working for her students. She's hard on attendance and phones, make sure u go to all her classes tho because u dont wanna miss a pop quiz or graded work. I really recommend her
