she is a nice person! but her class is hard. you really have to study on the tests, and you have to turn in all the work for a decent grade. her lectures are fun and interesting. she is very funny and easy to get along with! she loves the subject she teaches so thats a plus!

She is a great teacher and very interesting. I have taken other classes were I was bord to sleep, but not hers. The only hard part of the class is the test, but if you study the lectures you will be good. Also try not to miss a day of class because you will miss notes and classroom credit. Take her.

Very good instructor. Like everyone has said she's funny and makes the class interesting eventhough the class' subject matter is very dull. I only opened my book once and still got an A in the class.I highly suggest any one take her if you need a science requirement its the best science class i have EVER taken

I really like this professor. some students don't like her, but that's only because they come to class unprepared or they're talking when she is lecturing...either way, very rude on the student's part. tests are easy if you take good notes. extra credit is nice too. she jokes with the class, which makes learning easier. fun class, fun teacher too.

She has a likable smartass attitude (though at times goes gets angry for real simplistic reasons). It's a LOT harder than you'd think though, unless you're really devoted into studying for tests. The assignments weren't bad but we weren't given many of them. The tests pretty much equal your grade, you mess up once, your grade sinks like an anchor.

I don't actually think she deserves a 1 for easiness, I'm only gave a 1 to lower the average after all the ridiculous 5 ratings she got. Her class is NOT that easy. Realistically, she deserves a 3 I would say. You have to make sure you're there for every class, if you miss one lecture, you're in trouble for the test.

She is one of the easiest teachers in Cerritos. All you need to do is be in class and take good notes. But if you miss even one class, then you're screwed, that's one grade lower on the test. Don't need the book. 99.9% of test material is from the lecture notes. Just memorize the notes that you took in class and that's a guarantee A!

Very upbeat & motivating instructor. Pay attention to everything in her lectures (you will be tested on it). Attendance is very important and definitely take the lab (great field camping trip). Perfect example of an excellent teacher who loves teaching. I highly recommend!

Professor LoVetere is the best geography professor I ever had. Because of her, I actually love geography. She opened my eyes and made geography really fun and interesting. I learned a lot. Her tests aren’t that hard. There is no homework. We rarely used the book. She is funny and witty and would recommend taking her, also take her for the lab.

My first impression of her was that she was a bit intimidating, but she turned out to be a tough cookie with a sweetness. I'd recommend her. The people who are on some sort of rant below simply aren't paying attention in class. End of story. This prof gets to the point, doesn't hand hold and doesn't take any crap. She gives you the info you need to pass her class. If you are lazy, drop out of college. If you are ready to be an adult, take her class. I got a B without any effort at all.

ok if you are looking for a very detailed, organized and experienced lecturer she's not it. She never stays on topic but she is very nice and entertaining. Watching her lecture was a highlight of my day. Not only do you get to learn something about earth you also get in addition some life lessons that you would never get anywhere else.

I dont recomend taking a regular semester class with her, but I do recomend taking her LAB class. Its pretty easy you just have to do all of the work. Plus, you get to go camping for a weekend. She is very clear, but not very helpful. She had her T.A answer all our quetions and help us with our work while she was on the internet.

One of the best professors at Cerritos College. She is clear and concise. Does not take cr@p from students. Turn your phones off, be quite, and pay attention. 90% of the material comes from lecture, so don't miss class. It also helps that she is very easy on the eyes. Hands down one of my favorite professors at Cerritos College. She is so helpful, the material is clear, her exams are fair. Just about the best professor I've had since I've been here! Took her class this past summer and if u have no interest for GEO, you will not only leave her class with interest, but also with a lot more knowledge. She doesn't like late students. She's fun, does some group work, shows movies, explains everything..the only way to fail her class is to not pay attention. She's very helpful, and tries to get to know the students.

One of the best teachers, hands down! She comes off as very strict first, but that's to scare the bad students away. I took her class not expecting much. I dropped Surfas insanity of a class ..and WOW! THE BEST CLASS OF MY LIFE!!! and shes a hottie too! At first she comes on as toughie (dont believe her!) she a very good person and a great, GREAT teacher, her lectures are VERY WELL prepared and she PERFORMS them! did I mention shes a hottie? VERY interesting class! All you have to do is pay attention in class and take good notes to pass. Not much take home assignments, but you learn a LOT. Can't say I'll be changing my major, but definitely but things into perspective for me. Fair grader. And she's funny! She usually makes the room laugh at least once or twice per class.

She is a very good and interesting teacher but dont get on her bad side. She loves what she is teaching and gets very into it which makes you enjoy it. She gives lots of little quizes on a boring book but her test are pretty easy as long as you do mediocre studying. I would recommend her!

Took her lab class and it was great. You dont have to already know geography, we team up and those who have taken it help those who are barely taking it. The camping trip was tiresome but worth it. Make friends in the class so the trip is better. Theres a few labs, a couple major assignments and 2 tests, so dont slack off, it'll be worth it!

I took both her lab and lecture class in the summer, best decision ever. Her class is very informative and if you are in class taking notes, you shouldn't have a problem. For the Lab You need to go on a camping trip which is very fun and you meet a lot of people. Overall take this class beats taking another science lab and lecture

Do not even think of touching your cellphone in class, even if you're looking for something in your bag she will think you're on the phone and kick you out. she can come off as cocky and sometimes. She keeps the class interesting while teaching and its honestly not hard to pass if you pay attention. test usually have a lot of questions. shes hot.

Great professor. I took her class with my buddies and we felt like we learned quite a bit. Study hard for the exams and youll do great. Her lectures are interesting and theres no homework. Super easy lab class. Her lectures and handouts are word for the exams study those dont procrastinate and youll do fine. She can be rude sometimes but I think its just stress. Stay off your phones or shell kick you out. The field lab weekend field trip was nerve wracking but worth it. Make friends. Only 2/3 HW assignments. Mostly in class work

I took her in the fall for the lecture class and then summer lab with the required camping trip, all in all I can say that I enjoyed the class. You really have to have a specific sense of humor to understand her jokes, the rules she enforces are justified (no phones during lecture). Not too much work, her organization of the class makes it go fast.

I took the lecture class which I got a C on and it was challenging to be honest. As for the lab I got an A on it. Lecture and Lab I took them together. The Lab was fun and especially the camping trip. If your looking for a good Professor to take for Physical Geography, I recommend Crystal Lo Vetere. She is the best. This summer was worth it.

Online class: She is amazing!! so easy to pass the class, no textbook, she provide a FREE textbook online! Her lecture videos are recorded and uploaded on youtube, TAKE NOTE every helpful info. I got a B cause of the exams, I didn't study enough. she give small quizzes after every chapter. Only 3 exams throughout the semester. A few homework.

Course taken: Summer 2020 Online Professor is straight to the point when it came to the assignments. There were assignments that had coloring portions, labeling portions and writing portions for each and all labs. There were quizzes and a final exam. I would take this professor again.

Dr. Lo Vetere is an amazing professor. I took Geo 101 & Geo 101L and learned great things. I fell behind and could've gotten a better grade. The lectures are informative and easy. I would love to take other courses. I recommend her.

Im Surprised at some of these negative comments. She was a very kind hearted teacher. would go over quiz information during our lab time. and we went over the information enough and did a lot of group work that helped us with our homework and tests. She also was concerned about us transferring. I would definitely recommend taking her class.

She was an amazing professor. Very kind and answered all the questions I had. This course is a tiny bit lecture heavy but they have lots of useful information. Just take notes of the video lectures and study the powerpoints. This will help you with the exams.

She was AMAZING. I took her class Fall semester of 2017. She was so inspiring & such a good professor that I rave about her til this day. Participation was required, lectures were heavy but somehow, she still managed to make me interested in the earth. I had all A's throughout the course and came to every lecture. Would take again.
