i liked him very much. he was very nice and very lenient. you dont really need to show up in class, just the tests. i got a b in the class, but not because he is a good teacher, it was because i learned the material myself from the book.
A pretty easy teacher, but doesn't teach very well. My study partner and I taught each other way more than we learned from Mr. Bressler. We both got A's. Does half of the homework for you in class.
He's a kinda easy teacher, because you always can get extra points for the test. But his class is going fast, almost one chapter everyday, if you don't study the book by yourself, the class is still tough for you.
Honestly wanted to see you succeed. He was very helpful and sacrificial with his time.
goes over almsot all problems on the section in teh chapters, grades easily, drops lowest test score, approchable, friendly..only down side is he tends to make careless errors (adding, subtracting wrong etc..) BUT knows what he is doing...i'd take him over bradshaw for sure
Very nice and extremely generous grader. Easy A. Lectures are ok, but you will learn the most by youself. He copys the book definitions first 15 minutes of each class, waste of time. Always willing to help after class thogh. Gives 20 points in extra credit quizzes which help a lot
I love this guy...he's so nice, caring, and might i say kinda hunky!! lol jp... he's a great teacher, and he pays full attention to his students...i was failing in the beginning...but thanks to bressler, i passed the class with an A, i love this guy!! MUST TAKE!! he's super helpful for MATh 101A

Mr. Bressler is really cool and nice. He really wants you to succeed. But calculus is still pretty hard. His extra credit quizzes help alot. His grading is good but his test are somewhat hard. His practice test isnt really the same as the actual test. But, hes always open for help.
He is not easy as people make him sound. His tests are hard! Statzcow's tests as sooooo much easier and i would have gotten a A in mr.Stazcow's class easily. Bressler is nice though..i like him. If you want just a B or C then he is easy for that!! Not for an A. his final was soooo hard also i had a A before the final and a B after!!
It was great and he offered EXTRA CREDIT! He's really nice and explains everything. He's really committed. For the first time in my LIFE I understood math.
Mr. Bressler is really, really nice. He truly wants to help his students do well. He may be boring at times, but math is a boring subject.

Take this man! He doesn't always understand your questions but all quizes are extra credit and he is extremely generous with his test grading.Get a question completely wrong and you still get almost full credit! An easy A
Hes a cool guy, but he doesnt understand student questions a lot and often makes the kids feel stupid for asking. Easy grading, just do the homework. Hes very patient and willing to help anybody, any time
omg this teacher is like the easiest ever!! you have like a month to do your homework because you turn in everything by the end of the month and he gives you EC quizzes.. he might not understand most questions but regardless he's SUPER EASY!..although his class is kinda boring.

He is a pretty nice teacher. Class could be boring, but its a math class after all. His test can be very challenging though, and he doesn't curve. So I would say its a hard class to earn A. Do all your hw, quiz and attendance will help your grade as the tests are so hard.

MR.BRESSLER IS A FULLY PREPARED PROFESSOR AND YOU WILL EXACTLY KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT IN CLASS BEFORE YOU WALK INTO THE CLASSROOM. YES HIS LECTURES INVOLVE DOING HOMEWORK PROBLEMS. HE CUTS TO THE CHASE SO YOU ACTUALLY KNOW HOW TO DO THE HOMEWORK WHICH WILL HELP YOU ON THE TEST,UNLIKE PROFESSORS WHO JUS LECTURE AND HALF THE CLASS CANT LATER DO THE HMWK

tests are hella hard
exams are insanely hard. puts random problems down, and expects you to know everything. practice nothin like real test.
This is a Business Calculus Class. It was the easiest math class I ever took. He is really patience and explain the problems really well.
This guy does only ONE thing: solve the problems given in the book. That's the entire class -- and the entire semester -- which I think can be replaced by a solutions guide.
he is a nice teacher, but the only thing is he takes a lot of short cuts. if you are a person who needs things explained thouroughly, do not take him. he is more than willing to help you, but seems very passive. gives extra credit quizzes and more than enough time to do homeowork.. all and all, he is a nice guy, but difficult to understand
it is impossible to get an A on the test, their only 10 questions long, and have nothing to do with the chapters. I study for tests and i can do like every single problem in the book, on the test its like where the hell did this come from. the quizes are just hmwrk problems. hes nice n all but way to boring to stay awake. dont take dis teacher!
this teacher is really HARD!!!!! if you have the need to fail and devote all of your life to studing pre cal take him........he cant teach.....his test make no sense and are three times as hard as the problems in the book. u are expected to learn everything yourself.......you cant get an A or a B unless you are a super ggenius...

if you don't participate, then his class will be boring. if you don't ask questions when you're confused, then you won't learn. if you don't study the concepts of each chapter, you won't pass his tests. oh and a GRAPHING CALCULATOR would help. duh. anyone can complain but what's the point of complaining if you don't fix it?
Doing all the homework and even understanding the concepts won't help you do well on the exams.He's a nice guy,but his mind is too mathematical for the average student to understand and therefore his explanations don't make sense.Always makes mistakes on the board.Don't take him unless if math is your strong subject.No longer gives out study guides
He is a nice guy and gives out a log of extra ponts and even drops a test but he maybe takes 15 minutes to lecture the new material and then does related homework problems for the rest of the time. His test are REALLY difficult for a teacher that does not do much teaching. If you need to be taught the material, dont take him.

I liked this class even though I thought it was going to be REALLY hard even though it was only intermediate algebra. I do not know how I passed his class. He was nice AND helpful. Take hime for MATH 153.
omg this class was insanely boring...he really cant teach..always makes mistakes on the board and doesnt notice unless someone points it out or the problem doesnt even work...if u want to learn on your own, take him...if you want a teacher that can teach...take someone else
This teacher is really boring but it is an easy A i guess... He "tells" you what the questions are like and its really hard to get a C on his tests and he gives a lot of partial credit. Overall, he makes too many mistakes and its too easy to fall asleep in the class
He makes mistakes, but i think he does it to sort of give his students a confidence boost so that they'll participate more often and quit worrying about getting things wrong... I failed precal in highschool, and my teacher was an MIT graduate... this guy's tests are NOT difficult. They are straight from the book in many cases. I got a B+ with him

Mr.Bressler is a very fair grader. Some may find his class "boring" because no one in the class participates. He can't really run the class if no one is talking when he needs feedback. He gives you very helpful study guides which make your studying much easier so you don't waste time studying for things that are not on the test.
I took Math 101B with Mr. Bressler in the fall of 2007. He will answer any homework questions you have. He is very nice and helpful. The best part is that he gives great study guides for upcoming tests. Many of my classmates and I got an A
I like him. He's really nice. Very helpful. He grades fairly, you get what you deserve. He's knowledgeable. Very nice take him.

i took him for math 101b in summer class. He doesn't know how to teach. Cannot do a even a single question on board without making mistake and he didn't even realize until students point out his mistake. He cannot even hear you clearly u have to say same thing again and again. NOT RECOMMENDED.
He is a very very nice professor and will give you the help whatever you needed in the class. Take his class is a smartest decision. However, because of he is a very nice teacher, please be nice to him too! ^_^
Took his summmer class. I literally found it useless to go to class to learn, but you need to for your attendance grade. I ended up teaching myself the material. He can't explain things clearly which is the primary reason why most people hated the class. One thing that is good is that he grades easy. If you want to learn math don't take him.

If u want to feel confused, lost, or insecure about your math skills take this class. He makes so many mistakes such as 2-1=3 (no joke) and his chicken scratch is impossible to read. Hes super insecure and had to call campus security on the 2nd day of class for no reason. wtf!
Mr. Bressler is a great teacher!! He is super nice and wants his students to do well! He is helpful when you have a question! He is funny! I would recommend him to anyone!! the only reason Mr. Bressler had to ask campus security to come in was because people in the class were being EXTREMELY RUDE AND DISRUPTIVE. totally called for. I have never had a teacher, that got me lost this bad, im a math student, avg B in all math classes, but i dropped his class, i strongly recommend not to take him
Nice teahcer, lecrtures arent that bad, but when its time for the test he puts problems that he's never mentioned during the lectures. he gives study guides before the test, but they're useless. take nyguen instead
Hes a great teacher eventhough the tests are extremely hard. Take him if you want a challenge and can think outside the box. He does explain problems thoroughly if you asked for it.
Horrible teacher. Don't believe the commets saying he is helpful or clear. He told the class when we began studying the chain rule that "HE DIDN'T KNOW THE MATERIAL." He is supposedly deaf in one ear and is really bad at explaining problems. Avoid this teacher if you can, he tends to confuse himself and get things wrong, A LOT.

i think the guy under me is in my class. but yea hes right. everyone who wants an A in calc should take this class, its a JOKE, sooooo easy. if you even have to study for this class u need to drop out of school. he tries to make it seem like he'll be hard and then come test day, u breeze thru the test even if you dont own a calc book (like me lol)

completely useless teacher. business calc was easy with, but his calc 1A class is WHOLE new level. he gives out hard tests, he next to incomprehensible (cuz he sounds like a 10yo girl) and makes like 5 mistakes per problem that he does, and it really throw students off track, cuz he doesnt catch them till way later, after he has done the problem
If you are sincere, you can get an A even if you get low Bs on the tests. Seriously, he gives ALOT of extra credit. You get points for attendance. You get bonus points for doing homework problems on the board. He's a REALLY easy grader which means you can easily score A's on tests despite having minor errors. It's a piece of cake if you are sincere
Admittedly, summer class for MAT101A is tough, Bressler is easy to pass, finals are a little bit tough. Questions are tricky. One drawback is: pay attention in class, check whether he has made mistakes or not. COPY the questions he did on board!
Great professor! ALL of my friends in his class love the way he counts our grades(which will skip you two lowest quizzes, and drop one lowest test score.)! So, it's very very easy to get an A IF YOU DID ALL THE HW AND COPY THE Q'S ON THE BOARD ^ ^ and I really hope he will teach math101c, math103 and 104 in the next semesters.

Sweet guy, but sorta hard to pay attention to during lectures. He made a lot of mistakes on the board. But he grades so easy and the only reason people think his test and quizzes are hard is if they don't go to class the day before. He practically tells you the test questions.
He is a wonderful person, but his tests are nearly impossible. The are so far removed from his study guide questions that you are better off winging it. The final DID NOT conform in the slightest to the study guide and I felt deceived. The final didn't even have the same number of questions the study guide said it would
got "A" in his class; easy going,but self-motivation is needed. i got a little bit mess up with the final. luckily he told us in class that he reduced the total Q in final, if not, i'm sure i can't get "A".
He is an intelligent dude. However, he's NOT GREAT at explaining. He makes a substantial amount of mistakes, it's not even funny. If this is the first time you've taken Calculus take O' Connel or Anderson. If you Calculus embedded in your mind then take Smedfield. They're more challenging but are a higher calibur in pedagogy. He wont prepare you.
Mr. Bressler is nice. I hate math and even if you get a problem WRONG on a test he will at least give you HALF the points just for trying. People who lack an attention span should NOT take him he can be boring at times but it's a math class. Overall good guy and he will go over it again if you do not understand.
Easy teacher somewhat. Be aware, he can't teach. Most of the examples on the board that he does, has so many mistakes its not even funny. Quizzes, tests, HW is mandatory. He gives a study guide review for each test/final. However the Final totally caught me off guard as it was totally different from the Study Guide. Not a good teacher by any extent
Prof. Bressler is a really really kind man. He is always willing to help you and talk to you. Yes he doesn't really teach that well, but he is really easy. He gives quizzes and study guides that really help you to prepare for the exams. Go to class and do your homework, you should get an A. :)
Took MATH-101B with Bressler over summer. Great teacher, but as others said, he makes mistakes on the board when doing problems but that keeps the class alert. Tests and final have comprehensive reviews WHICH I personally think was the key to passing this class since it was so compressed. Attendance is mandatory. Wish I could take him for MATH-101C

A very dedicated teacher and kind person who cares about his students alot. I had him in 2007 and I can say he was one of the best teacher at Ohlone! School starts this Monday but we won't see Prof. Bressler on campus with his old backpack and big folder anymore. Rest in peace dear professor, you will be remembered!!
