Pretty easy chem professor, not dry and boring, younger so he can relate to college age students, fun

Great Teacher - intresting sense of humor but still funny (he will juggle knives to demonstrate a point!). Tests are fair if you simply put in the time.

Excellent teacher! Continually emphasizes sig figs, etc. Totally prepares you for 104. So fun, tries to make lame jokes and knows it. Hard subject...so you have to put the time in or you won't get a good grade.

I hate chemistry but I loved his course. He teaches you everything you have to know for the test and doesn't waste your time like other science teachers do. The tests are easy and fair. He makes coming to class fun!

Very Entertaining Prof. You'd never want to skip his class for fear of missing a joke. His tests are FAIR, if you give the class the time it deserves, you'll do well. Great Prof! Very real person, someone a college student can easily approach.

Tests are really hard, and he's not generous at all about grading them. I got an AB because I absolutely worked my butt off. Have you ever studied well over 40 hours for one test before? Get ready to! But yeah, he is good at getting you to remember stuff in class because he's a pretty cool guy.

The material was challenging, but I studied in groups alot and that helped me. I didn't think his tests were overly hard, I had a much harder time with Monte's tests in 303. He made the material more interesting than it really was. He even found a way to work juggling into his lectures :)

The material wasn't all that hard. But his tests were way harder. Some of the questions on tests are impossible. I have not clue where he gets them from.

He's a pretty great guy, but he does the opposite of what he says he's going to when it comes to test time. Just know that he likes to test on all the exception to the rules and you'll be fine. I just hate it when he says he wont go into a lot of detail on the final because theres not enough time and then makes all the problems detailed oriented.

Dr. C is an amazing professor. He's very easy to understand, funny, and would bend over backward for his students. His test can be tricky but do the review questions and actually study and you'll do fine. I got an A and I didn't feel it was more work than my other classes. Do your work and go to him for help. He's very personable. Plus, he juggles.

i had bryan for chem. last yr. & thought he was good, but he doesn't even compare to dr. C. he's very nice, funny, and is very willing to help w/ any questions any one has. tests can be hard, but they're not harder than any other chem. class. go to discussion & do the suggested problems from the book, it makes it easier.

I think he is an amazing professor. He really knows what he is talking about. Can explain it in different ways, which is hard to come by. Will help as long as you ask. Funny guy, with cool experiments to watch every now and then. His practice test are very helpful.

He's a great guy. He really wants his students to learn chemistry and actually remember it. He uses good examples that are often funny. He loves do mini experiments in class that help you learn the material. If you like hands on learning, i advise you to take him!

I've been in school for 4.5 years now and so far he's been my favorite teacher yet! I hope I can have him for OChem next fall.

The exams are quite difficult, but Dr. C's a great professor. He's funny and keeps lectures interesting and does whatever he can to help you understand the material. Strongly recommended.

BEST PROFESSOR EVER! I struggled through the first semester of O-chem, got to this class and LOVE IT! I've never laughed so much in a chem lecture... GO TO CLASS and take good notes and he pretty much sets you up for success... I found outlines of rxns really helped though. If you get the chance... TAKE HIM!

czerwinski is the best professor i have had. He makes you want to come to class. Not an easy class by any means, but a rewarding one. His experiments really relate to the concepts discussed in class. Take him if you can

I loved his class.. I had heard horror stories about organic chemistry but Dr. C was amazing and he's alwasy willing to help if you have any questions. Just watch out for those multiple choice on the tests.. 4 points each..

I was not looking forward to Organic at all. Dr. C is the best! He is very good at explaining the concepts and if you ever need help he is willing to meet with you. Go to class and pay attention because he talks pretty fast, but overall he is an excellent prof.

Dr. Czerwinski is so clear and organized about everything you have to know for the exams. It's a lot of material, but if you study or are just good at memorizing it shouldn't be too big of a problem. Also he throws random facts/name of organic compounds that he usually puts as extra credit on the tests

He is an awesome professor! I am in my first semester at UWL and he is by far my favorite professor. I used to hate chemistry when I was in high school, but now it is my favorite class. He has the best analogies for difficult topics, that really help you grasp the material. Take his class if you can!

Very fair grader and very detailed teacher. This class is pure math. Sometimes speaks very fast and blows right through example problems. Exams are tough, very detailed and math problems always have a twist. Class average on exams was around 75% :/

Very good teacher!! So glad I started out my freshman year with him for chemistry. He's funny and makes class very interesting. Tests can be a tad bit tough, but if you study and do the homework problems, you'll do just fine! I will definitely take Curtis as many times as possible for my classes!

Exams are pretty tough (multiple choice worth 4 pts) and not exactly similar to what is taught in class but if you understand concepts rather than examples you will do fine. Had him at 7:45 and stayed awake the whole time, class goes by fast.

Probably my favorite Professor. He really understood the material, and tried his hardest to make sure the class did as well. He uses lots of examples in class, and his notes aren't on D2L so I would definitely recommend going to class. He gives answers to some bonus questions on exams too during lectures. Overall, excellent.

Dr. C is a fantastic professor. He is not only entertaining in class, but also genuinely cares about his students and it shows. It is very easy for a chemistry class to end up dull and route, but his classes are always spiced up with a bit of comedy that helps the material stick. He has many aids like practice exams and problem sets that help much.

Dr. C is easily my favorite professor on campus. He keeps class interesting and entertaining. He is always willing to help you understand things better if you go in for help. one thing that can be rough is that his tests arent super long so one multiple choice question wrong is a 4 point deduction, but if you work for it, you'll do well.

Dr. C is the Perfect one for chem! You will always look forward going to his lectures. Chemistry is difficult but he explains it using creative examples and cool experiments to help you understand, learn, and remember. Expect to have a good laugh at least once per class. STUDY HARD and go see him if you need extra help. He is very approachable.

Czerwinski is an amazing professor, he knows the material backwards and forwards, he gives really relate-able examples. He goes over things a lot. He expects you to memorize most elements and some other things, but it helps you a lot overall. I would take him for 104 if I could, I highly recommend taking him. PLUS!He gets tests back by next day.

Czerwinksi expects alot out of you. Make sure you pay attention and go over ALL the worksheets he gives you. Test are really hard but if you try you can do well. He is really passionate about chemistry which makes the class interesting. Dont get discouraged if you do bad on the first test.

He was an amazing chem professor that is very passionate about chemistry AND his students. He goes over many types of problems that are exactly like the kind on the test. He also uses many examples that make it easy to remember the content. I would recommend taking him.

He is also very organized and very clear about what his tests will be like (studyguide and practice test are exact format of test). His test are pretty tricky though. He usually makes a jokesets something on firedemonstrates something interesting during lecture, and really tells you everything you need to know to pass. If you pay attention and know how to do the worksheets, you should be alright. He's very good at telling you exactly what to do in lab, and helping you when you need it. Extraordinary professor.

I wasn't looking forward to chemistry but he made it very easy. As long as you go to class and try to learn from the notes it is easy to understand. I didn't read that much of the textbook and still got a high B. Learn what he talks about in class and you'll do fine, plus he's willing to explain it several ways.

I loved Curtis! He went fast in is lectures but he always willing to explain each concept thoroughly. He's a really funny guy and always cracks a joke. His lectures were never boring and I actually enjoyed showing up. It's no lie his tests are pretty difficult but if you study, do the practice problems again and pay attention you'll do well!

Czerwinski is a hilarious guy. His lectures are full of info, so you need to go to class and take good notes. He also has discussions once a week in which he takes time to answer personal questions or just review the material you covered in lecture. Just be ready to work. His tests are pretty straightforward, if you have STUDIED the material.

Dr. Czerwinski is the man. Hilarious and upbeat, he makes class fly by even at 7:45am. Exams are pretty tough, as he makes sure you actually know and can apply the material rather than simply memorizing examples from class. That being said, I would highly recommend taking him, as you will actually understand what's going on in Chem 305 (lab).

Lectures are super interesting and easy to follow. Dr. C really goes through the material slowly so it is easy to keep up. Tests were actually easier than the tests I took with my other prof for CHM 303 but I always did worse because of the 4 pt MC. Take him, but prepare for frustration on tests.

He's a good professor, but he sets up his exams in a way that can just kill you. Even if you know your stuff pretty well, 12-13 tough multiple choice questions at 4 points a piece makes it real easy to drop you a letter grade right there. Solid professor, but the huge proportion of all or nothing MC drops grades further than they should be

Dr. Czerwinski gives some of the most entertaining lectures I've ever had. Fantastic in office hours and very good at explaining things. His tests are a little hard and his final was a little ridiculous if you ask me. Study flash cards on every reaction and then do his recommended bookwork if you want to do well on tests.

One of my favorite chem profs. Loved his lectures; he made it very easy to pay attention. He uses problems from class and off the problem sets on tests, so focus on those when studying, but do the book problems as well. MC will kill your grade if you don't study enough.

Dr. C was a very smart professor. He had a great sense of humor that made it easy to stay focused in his class. The tests were very hard, but they were bearable if you studied a while. Multiple choice will hurt your grade if you do not study enough. A downside was that he was not present for every office hour, which made it hard to ask questions.

There are 4 exams and 5 problem sets in the entire course. The rest of the practice is up to you. Dr. C gives great lectures, but there is no good way to make up if you miss a class. He makes chemistry easy to understand and tells terrible jokes throughout the semester to give you brain a break.

I hated chem in high school, but after taking his class, I've decided to major in chemistry. He explains the material really well and goes over everything in depth in class and discussion. Read the book and do the practice problems he assigns for each chapter and it will be easier. He is really goofy in his lectures, which makes it more fun!

Dr. C is great. He not only knows Chemistry, but he knows how to teach it. He is very helpful and one of the nicest professors I've interacted with. The exams are really hard, but what do you expect from a gen-ed chem class? I would take him again if I ever have to take more chemistry, great professor for this class.

Dr. Czerwinski is a good lecturer. I guess he used to be in theater because he knows how to work the room while giving a lecture about some complex topics. OChem is not an easy course and you need to show up and do the work, but he's good about helping you out if you have questions.

Many people probably cringe at the thought of an organic chemistry course but Dr. C made this class enjoyable. Great professor who knows his stuff and makes sure to keep class relaxed with stories and analogies that help you retain information. Only grades are homework and exams but if you study you will have no problem. Highly recommend him.

If you are going to take organic, FIGHT to take him. He is very understanding and gives 4-10 points back on every exam because he understands that people make mistakes. His problem sets and practice exams will help you get a good grade on the exam. He makes examples very relative to your every day life to help you remember key concepts. LOVE HIM.

Organic is a hard class no matter who you take it w/ but Dr. C makes it much more tolerable. I wasn't excited to take it but I actually started looking forward to going to this 7:45 class because he's that great. He gives points back on every exam because he understands they're hard, and they're almost identical to homework sets and practice exams.

Nice professor, but VERY tough grader. His tests are killer! Be prepared to work really hard. I was shocked at how difficult his tests were, it seemed as if no matter how much I studied, success was hard to attain.

Always happy to answer questions, really relaxed lab professor. Homework questions can be difficult but tutors or his office hours always helped me get the answers. Wasn't picky about lab notebooks but the quizzes were hard.

Dr. C is BY FAR one of the greatest profs I've had at UWL. Makes OChem very entertaining/practical. Offers great explanations/tools for tough topics. One of the hardest classes I've ever taken. Tests are difficult but extremely fair. He tests on mastery of concepts, doesn't try to trip you up on the little things. Understand conceptsgood grade.

Prof. Czerwinski was very nice and always upbeat during lecture. Most of lecture was spent going through practice problems with some notes. He did not use any power-points but made the content clear. Attendance is not mandatory, but show up if you want a good grade. Exams were not too difficult if you studied. Overall effort will affect your grade.

I loved Dr. Czerwinski! Hes honestly one of the greatest professors on campus. His tests had some challenge, but as long as you payed attention in lecture and discussion, youll do fine.

Had Dr.C for lab and lecture and he is such a great teacher. Lectures are upbeat and engaging and he WANTS you to understand chemistry. Awesome to have for lab because he is so easy to ask questions to. Because he doesn't post lectures, don't expect to skip lecture and do well, but going to his class was definitely more enjoyable than most others.

Dr. Czerwinski is an amazing professor. He's excellent at breaking things down in a clear way. His exams are challenging (like all ochem exams). You will have to work for it, and you have to be extremely detail oriented. Always ask yourself, do I understand why this reaction is happening this way? Pay close attention to the things he emphasizes.

This dude passed the vibe check. Teaches what we need to know and he has good lectures and practice exams and graded hw sets. Mad chill professor who knows his chemistry and makes chill jokes. A real gem for sure.

One of the best professor I ever had for this semester. He made the lecture very entertaining and I was able to grasp some of the concept more easily than the textbook could. Even though we moved online later the semester, he was extremely helpful when I struggled. I also had him for the lab and he was very helpful there.

Dr. Curtis Czerwinski is an amazing CHM 103 professor! He makes CHM 103 funny and exciting to learn about! However, attendance is mandatory if you want to succeed and to get an A you need to out in work outside of class whether that would be studying, office hours, or the tutoring center.

Dr. C is great. He often makes jokes in lecture, and even though they're dumb, they can be funny. He tries to make analogies to help you understand the material, and he explains the thought process behind the problems. Lots of practice problems, but they help. For online exams, he gives an extra 10 minutes for turning in and technical difficulties.

Even though chemistry as a subject is tough, I felt I had a good understanding of what was being taught. Overall, great professor, lectures were very helpful, and the tests were pretty much based off the problem sets and practice problems. The only thing that was a bit rough was the fact that there is only a few things in the grade book.

I took this class in the spring of 2020. Professor Czerwinski cares about his students and wants to make sure they do well! He makes lectures interesting and included many jokes. His exams reflect the material learned in class and the problems worked on in discussion. Would definitely recommend taking him for CHM 103.

Dr. C. has a great sense of humor and teaches information in a way that makes you remember it. I liked his lectures a lot and only wished I could have had him in person so I could get to know him! The best way to describe Czerwinski is that he is a very sporadic guy. He is often very energetic but does go through content fast. Tests are manageable but I often ran low on time. Its important to do practice problems and attend lecture to understand the content. He does occasionally do problems in lecture without explaining whats going on.

I've had Dr. C for both general chemistry and organic chem theory two. He is the best professor I've had at UW-Lacrosse. He makes many analogies to help understand the material, and the note packets he gives are very organized and easy to follow outside of class. His tests are pretty difficult, and you really need to understand the material.

It actually blows my mind how much of a genius this man is, so glad I was able to get him as my chemistry 103 professor. Cannot say enough good things about him.

Dr. C is my favorite prof so far at UWL. He explains the material very clearly and I had no problem learning from him. He gives out note packets in class every week which was extremely helpful and layed out all the material needed to study. His practice tests he posted on canvas for the exams were almost identical to the actual exam.

Dr. Czerwinski was by far my favorite professor this semester. He's super funny and makes lectures enjoyable. Chem is hard no matter what, but he makes it bearable. The only thing in the grade book is exams and problem sets, so if you bomb something it kinda tanks your grade, but overall I loved him. Would def take again.

304 is going to be very difficult no matter who you take, but he made the lectures enjoyable at least. He does talk very fast, but gets in lots of example problems. His tests are hard but he is very clear with what he is going to test on and many of the questions are very similar to ones he does in lecture. Also gave a 4 point refund on every exam.

TAKE HIM! He gives off dad vibes. By far one of my favorite professors this semester. He prepares you for the exams and his practice tests are almost identical to the real thing. Could tell he wanted you to get a good grade. Always willing to help when I went to office hours. Definitely recommend Curtis!!!!

He is very easy to understand and lays everything you need to know out for you at the beginning of the year.

He talks SO FAST! It is so hard to keep up! I find it easier to learn from the tutors in the tutor center than I do him. He is a genuis, but expects us to think like he does. He is a very nice guy and is willing to help whenever you need it. Personally, I just find it hard to learn from him.

Does a GREAT job, uses printed note packets and goes through them each lecture. Be prepared to write footnotes on the sides with things he says, it moves along fast. But, he is very precise with everything he does, and we were never behind in content like some of the other classes. Not a class that you can get away with not practicing on your own.

I loved Professor Czerwinski! He's really good at keeping students engaged during his lectures, which made class more motivating to attend. He's really funny as well! On an exam day, I got sick and he was really empathetic and willing to work with me to find a time to make it up. You definitely need to study hard on the exams to get at least a C.

Would highly recommend for CHM 103

Czerwinski knows what he's doing. He moves fast and doesn't post his lecture online, so there will be a lot of studying. Tests are hard, but as long as you keep up with the practice tests, you'll pass. Very much a "ween out" class, but if you spend time studying, you'll do fine. He's also very friendly and keeps his lectures interesting.

Dr. C will be the best chemistry professor you'll ever take. He makes sure he simplifies the information down to its patterns so nothing is overcomplicated. My only critique is that he talks pretty fast, but everything he says is important.

Dr. C is literally my favorite professor ever. I wish I could take him for other classes, but as he said he's taught us all that he knows. He does talk fast, so you NEED to pay attention to EVERYTHING that he says. But he makes things pretty simple and laid out for you. Just stay on top of things and you'll be golden.

Any chemistry class is gonna be tough, and don't get me wrong, this class was tough. But he does do a really good job of making the content approachable. He talks very fast, but if you care, you'll do well.

Dr.C is very approachable and wants you to succeed in his class! He prints off all your notes and gives you lots of practice problems. He prepares you very well for exams with practice exams that are very similar to the real ones. He is a funny guy and you can tell he loves teaching. Highly recommend him for Chem 103!

I absolutely love this guy- I don't think I have laughed more in a lecture. I had him for both lab and lecture and he made this heavy course super manageable. I was scared of taking chemistry at first, but Dr. C did an excellent job of teaching the material. You can tell he loves his job, PLEASE take him if you have the chance!!

This was my first time ever taking chemistry as I didn't have the opportunity to take it in high school due to covid. I was super nervous because I know chem is a hard class but Dr. C made it so much easier, and made me love with chemistry. This is hands down my favorite class ever and you will not regret taking Dr. C if you get the chance.

Dr. Czerwinski was a really great professor and I highly recommend taking him. He is a funny guy that also teaches very well. His lectures are great because he gives you blank note packets to fill in that you follow along with as he teaches. The only critique is that he speaks pretty fast, but I personally did not have an issue with it.

He is hilarious and a great professor! does his notes in packets he hands out. explains really well. super helpful in office hours. only grades four tests, 6ish problem sets, and final.

Curtis is a great professor! Take him for CHM 103 if you are able to, all of his exams are just like the practice exams. He is very funny and makes lecture fun and interesting. TAKE HIM!!!!

Curtis is great. All his lectures were interesting and explained well. He is always open for questions and is very helpful. Overall great guy!

Dr. Czerwinski was a super fun guy which made lectures more enjoyable. He often told stories or jokes and gave demonstrations related to course material which made content easier to understand. He gives lots of practice problems and examples so if you study and go to class you will do well on the exams.

Professor Czerwinski is great - his lectures are engaging and he explains things well. The class is challenging, but as long as you keep up with the practice tests and use helpful tools like Unstuck ai, you can do well. Definitely recommended!

Great professor he talks very fast especially at the end of the class to ensure the class doesn't behind. He doesn't curve exams the grade you get is the grade you get. 4 exams,1 final, and 10 assignments add up to one exam. He's very funny and great at explaining material. You can tell he cares about his students doing well in his class.

Take Him!!! He is so engaging with lots of relatable examples and stories and really can explain things well. If you go to discussion and lecture, there are enough practice problems that you get very good at the content with little outside work. Good proportions of things for grades. He prints out note packets and has practice exams provided.

Amazing professor, truly passionate about teaching students in a way that is comprehensible and fun. Tests are sometimes hard, but his notes are great and well-formatted. No matter how he feels he always comes into class with enthusiasm.

Dr. Czerwinski is one of the best professors I've had at UWL. He truly cares about his students. You are graded mostly on the exams, but he makes them manageable. He creates a comprehensive study guide for each exam, posts plenty of practice materials on Canvas, and does "review days" in discussion before the exam. Take him if you can!!!!

Very great professor. 4 exams plus the final exam. Not required to use or read textbook, I used the textbook to study for exams because it has a ton of practice problems with answers. Very funny guy and will crack some jokes. He makes it very clear how he grades his exams.

AWESOME! Grade is made up of four exams, final, lab, and 10 10 point assignments. Gives tons of practice problems and study guides. Exams are multiple choice and short answer, tries to give you as many points as possible if you show work. Chm103 itself is hard, but Dr. C tries his best to make it understandable! Such an amazing guy.

Had Czerwinski for my first chemistry class, and although the class wasn't exactly a cakewalk. Czerwinski made the classes fun and interesting, also he provided packets that walked you through each lecture topic. Now that I've had other chem profs, I've realized how useful those packets were for keeping up with the material.

Dr. C is a great professor. He can go kinda fast sometimes in lecture, but hes always open for questions in discussion if needed. His exams are not terrible in my opinion, however each multiple choice question is work 4 points. Hes funny and makes lectures interesting. Overall a great professor and would reccommend to anyone taking CHM 103!

Czerwinski is so amazing! He explains everything very clearly and is very open to questions. He makes lecture fun, brings cool demonstrations to class, and tells funny stories. He makes me want to learn. He is also super approchable and very helpful in office hours. He is super caring and kind, and he is very assuring/ builds your confidence.

Dr. Czerwinski is outstanding compared to the other chemistry professors I hear about. His theatrical style made hard concepts easy; sometimes it felt like he was teaching to an elementary-age class. I got 100% on one exam and 60% on another, but learned how to study better from his materials. His clever real-life examples made class unforgettable.

Dr. Czerwinski has great lectures. He is very passionate and often brings props to class to help you understand the material better. He always provides practice exams that are pretty reflective of the actual exam. I thought he was a great professor and taught the material very well.

I loved Dr. C as a professor. He made lectures fun. I have never taken chem in my life so keeping up with everything and learning this stuff for the first time for sure made it difficult. He is hard to get in contact with outside of class but very helpful during office hours, even though they were limited. Very funny and approachable.

Lectures were engaging and inspirational. Chemistry is a hard topic to get into, and he uses many analogies and comparisons to gain interest for students. You can tell he's a good guy and is trying his best.

Great professor, he makes lectures so fun and interesting and easy to understand because he makes good anologys making things easy to remember.

Teaches exactly what you need to know for the test and provides adequate resources for you to study from to prepare for exams. straightforward and clear lectures

The exams can be difficult if you do not take time to study and learn the material because you are not allowed to have any notecards or cheat sheets.
