Easy online class! Not too much work or homework. Take this class if you are scared to speak in public because you just chat with your classmates online instead of making in person speeches. Just make sure you have microsoft power point.

this class is great online, you only have to introduce your self in the beginning and the final presentation is with a group, not to bad she is also very willing to help u out

She is as good as they come. Always willing to help and pretty understanding. However, she does require you to do work, and if you don't your grade will reflect that. She is a great teacher and understands that speech is what most people fear. She likes you to interact, which will help your grade.

Excellent teacher. I took her in the summer and let me tell you, she is just great. Very simple class and she has everything broken down, nothing confuses you.

She was a pretty good professor. I never bought the book and I still managed to be doing great in her class. The only "big" assignments you will face is a group project in which you commit 5 hours to com. service and a 5-7 page research of your experience. The class was not boring so she did a good job with making it interesting,

She is so easy and very nice. Lectures are easy to understand, specially because she gives lots of personal life examples. I highly recommend taking her class. Must attend class, test material is mostly from lecture. A few in-class group assignments-but simple! One major oral presentation. Easy "A".

Very good professor, I took the summer course so of course it was a little bit rushed and not as in dept. But, she was very helpful giving great feedback on writing assignments and speeches. She keeps the class fun doing lots of interactive exercises. I only wish I had her during a full semester. If you get a chance take her class.

Class is very easy going just attend class. The group assignment is the main focus of the course, so the more you work with your group the better off your grade

BEST TEACHER EVER! Shes really accommodating to the student's needs, and give you the opportunity to grow as a student in her Speech 132 class and how independent she lets you run your group.

She is extremely nice! Her class is super easy and easy going. What you talk about in class is interesting. If you study before the exam you'll be fine. I got an A and didn't even study!

She is very sweet but in kinda unorganized. I felt confused most of the class on when things were due. She gives little assignments, many are just group projects where in the end you must present for like 10 mins. and she hardly lectures. our class was supposed to be 1 hr 1/2 long and it only would last 45 mins which was kinda nice. She is lenient!

Great class discussions. She really loves what she teaches and brings in a lot fo extra activities to help us learn the material. She even bought me a book since I didn't have one due to money problems.

Very organized. Uses talon net for all homework, assignments, grading and communications. Helps understand my grade the entire way. She also posts electronic media and links to help your learning.

Great speech teacher. Its obvious that in a speech class you will need to go in front and talk which we did a couple times. At the end of the semester she makes you do a presentation on showing how to do something. Fairly easy class.

There are about 2 simple projects, 2 reaction papers(she scans through it quickly to see if you have right APA ), and two speeches towards the end. One demonstration speech and one persuasive. Volunteer on first day for presentations, she's easier on you and gives extra points. No study guide but posts all lectures and tells you what will be on it

I took her online. I enjoyed learning and really liked the live lectures.

Clear online course material. For an online class you would be better off taking this course than anyother because she works with you and helps you through techincal issues. Fast to respond. It was my first online class and she did a great job helping me and i am a needy student.

This class was not complicated at all. There will be a few assignments every other week that isn't hard but do take some time to do. There is an online course you'll have to "buy". I used the free trial and completed all the work. I would suggest doing that. Your hardest assignments will be the demonstration and persuasive speech as they take time.

She is always fast to respond. She give us her contact information to get immediate response. She will schedule a zoom call and or live call for us to talk to her. She is also on campus as well as online.

Professor Lavariere is an extremly kind and caring person, she shows empathy for her students. This class requires LOTS of readings and weekly essays (SEE-I's). She is very understanding and accepts late work, just be sure not to fall behind !

Professor Lavariere is awesome! The 9‑week format means lots of work, but she's very helpful and accepts late assignments until the last day. If you keep up with weekly modules, an A is achievable. Discussion answers are in the lectures, and the final is a group/solo debate which she prepares you for very well despite the limited time.
