Easiest class ive ever taken. I got a 98. You get hundreds on all discussions and assignments as long as you do them. There is a midterm and final which are only one essay question. The question is given to you ahead of time. SO EASY. TAKE HER

A very good history instructor! She explains things in a general way that makes it easy to understand what's going on. You need the book for anyone who's wondering, but the material's not too bad. She gives online quizzes and is a laid-back class that lets you learn the material without having too much pressure from the assignments :)

One of the most interesting classes I have taken throughout my college career, thus far. A lot of interesting discussion and readings. We had no quizzes, tests or exams. But, I'm not sure if she will keep this format. Either way she is flexible and attendance isn't mandatory, but you will want to go!

Best professor I have had in college so far! :) She really knows what she is talking about and keeps it interesting. There is a homework assignment every week, several online quizzes, and a final exam. This is a very easy class, but you will learn alot! I have taken a few classes with Counsil and absolutely love her. She tells you what is expected. Just do the work and you'll do well. She focuses more on participation and that you are involved and actually understanding the information. She does like team projects for POS2112, but they aren't terrible. Just do what you're asked and you'll do well!

This class was super easy. Her tests a really easy! Just do the study guides and the outlines and you'll have an A.

She's very easy. I would show up to her class and sleep, some days I wouldn't come. Just make sure you have your note packet filled out prior to tests and study the note packet. She doesn't grade harsh at all. We had 6 tests because she didn't feel like giving us the 7th test. The final was just a reflection over what we've got out the course.

One of my fav professors. Shes wonderful, really laid back, and sweet. Easy to communicate with and understanding. Tests are EASY. She posted her expectations for tests on Blackboard. If you show up you pass. Made the class fun. Going to take her again for government. Really recommend

One lecture instead of disgusting the scheduled material, she chose to give us the history of ISIS and surrounding terrorists groups. In light of the Orlando attacks. I absolutely love this class

Prof Counsil is amazing. I loved listening to her lectures in class. There were 6 parts in the class, and a notes packet for each that had to be filled out for a grade. Tests were in class and in short-essay form; prompts were one of the questions from the notes packet for that section of material. There was one essay. Def. take her if you can!

I loved Professor councils class she is a very easy going person lays all the assignments down ad is very clear on what you need to do. As long as you read and listen in class and "take notes" you will pass. All tests are essay questions and just test your knowledge on what you know not just random facts.

By far the easiest class. If you come to class and participate you will have an A. Prof. Counsil gives a decent amount of extra credit throughout the course so if you miss an assignment you can do the extra credit to make up for it. But literally the class discussions are the answers to the test.

Professor Counsil is great. She gives note packets out, with a test after each one. There is only one paper per semester. Everything was easy, as long as you pay attention. She always gives all the information needed for the tests and the lectures are fun. She also grades fairly leniently. Super easy, definitely recommend!

Professor Counsil is the best. She clearly has a passion for her field and she does her best to convey that to the class. I think everything she taught us was meant to help us be informed citizens. You get one note packet per section and one test per section. There is one full essay for the class, and she does prepare you. You do not need a book.

Ive taken professor Council before, and she's changed her class structure a little since my last class with her. However, she is an amazing teacher that really seems to teach you as much history as possible while also giving a boost to your gpa :D. She gives out notes with questions on them, answer the question, and one will be your test essay.

The entirety of the work consists of Discussion board posts. There's 1 per week and if you do them on time you're set. Make sure you don't miss a single one as it will knock you down a letter grade. She is a super easy grader. you can basically just ramble about any topic without any real thought to get full credit. I did not open my book once.

This was a 7 wk online course. There were 4 discussions, 7 quizzes, 2 research papers, a team project (outline & final paper), and a reflection paper. Ms. Counsil provides great feedback and I definitely learned a lot. Citing apa style was very difficult for me so be sure to learn if you don't already know. I would definitely take her again.

Honestly, the best professor. Although attendance is a grade, it's still an easy A. There's five grades. Attendance, 2 sets of notes, the midterm, and the final. She is super nice, shows videos most of the time and her lectures are good. Both midterm/final are two essay questions and they super easy as long take appropriate notes.

But, you do have to take a midterm and final. You also have a 3-page paper that you have to do, but it is not hard at all. Take this professor for this class if you want an A!

I love history and I loved this class! Professor Counsil has amazing lectures that are made even better by the stories she includes from people who lived through the events. There are only four grades: midterm, paper, final, and attendance. The midterm and final were two questions (that aren't difficult) that you answer in a 3 paragraph format.

Professor Counsil is honestly the best Professor Ive had in a while. You can really tell how passionate she really is about teaching. The class consisted of one 3-5 page paper which wasnt that hard and two test. If I could I would take another with her.

I took her American Government and U.S History class at the same time and was able to ace both classes. All of the assignments were due on the same days which made it easier to turn everything in. She does NOT accept late work but ; that should encourage you to get started early just in case something comes up and you forget. Overall, great prof :)

Dr Counsil is a great teacher and I definitely recommend her for American Federal Government. The class is super easy with the only grades being quizzes and essays which are all completed online. She is an easy going professor and I would take her again.

Counsil has clear expectations and is not generous with grading assignments. Following the rubrics is essential to getting a good grade. Few quizzes and projects, but worth a lot of points- make sure you don't slack on those, because that is where she will give you a 70 for missing tiny details. Discussions are easy and fun. Overall ok/semi-tough.

Dr. Counsil was a great professor! I really enjoyed this class, follow the syllabus and work ahead if possible and you'll do fine. There is a three part paper and two quizzes and weekly discussions with two replies to classmates . Highly recommend!

EASY CLASS. She doesn't ask for much work. The reading is a lot, but she said it could regularly be checked. She NEVER accepts late work. If anything happens, no matter what, she won't accept late work, so be prepared, because it's worth the easiest A in your life!

Super easy, only graded on discussions and quizzes. As long as you do the discussions on time and answer the question you will pass. Quizzes are easy and straight from the readings.

Class is super easy as long as you do the work and turn it in on time. The class is made up of 16 discussions and 5 quizzes. For discussions, the initial posts are due on Thursdays while the responses are on Sundays. Most quizzes are 15-20 multiple choice questions and are not proctored. This course is not difficult but you must teach yourself.

This was one of the easiest classes that I have ever taken. Everything is displayed nicely on the canvas calendar with what you need to get done. No textbook required. She does respond to messages and easy grader as long as you do the work. 2 discussion boards each week. Easy class, easy professor. Take her and this class!

She does not teach or give feedback but is an easy grader. If you do it and follow directions you will get an A. Most assignments are discussions with only two quiz and one project which was an essay. Interesting/fun topics. Learned a lot. She does take awhile to grade. Would take again! No late work which I agree with since ive never been late!

I would recommend taking this class. Your grade is based off of quizzes and discussions. No finals, no midterms. She doesn't take any late work regardless of the situation. But that is understandable because she gives you plenty of time to complete assignments. very convenient if you have a busy schedule because her live lessons aren't mandatory.

This class was super easy. Stay on track with your assignments and you will pass. The discussion posts are mainly your opinion with citations to back up your stance so there is no right or wrong answer. The modules have readings as well as videos which were really helpful with understanding the chapter. A few quizzes and great material to follow.

I took Professor Counsil for both AMH 2020 and POS 2041 in the summer of 2019 and I really enjoyed both classes. We did a lot of group discussions where we gave our opinion on each topic we read. She was very patient and thorough when explaining anything I did not understand. I would highly recommend her class!

Amazing, I took a online class and I was able to completely finish at my own pace as long as assignments were turned in by the due date. Rubric and due dates are set out at the start of the class so you could really finish all your assignments early if you wanted too. She cares a lot about her students and just wants you to give effort.

I do not like history or government.. BUT this prof made this class fun and engaging! There is not much reading, and honestly, barely any work to this class. You write 2 paragraphs for each module and reply to 2 classmates. Only 2 quizzes. The discussions were so much fun, and I loved hearing different perspectives!

Summer 2025 seven week online course There is a lot to read and know. No test, just read and responses only. I wasn't sure in what form to respond. For example in conversation form or essay form. She do read responses and take points away. She doesn't respond to messages accordingly but she will reach out when she takes points away with notes.
