Dr. Gubitose is the best Math teacher I have ever had. She takes her time and uses a great cpu program to help make sure the students understand the material. I recomend her to anyone, who like myself, have a huge problem with math, algebra, and so on.

She is the best teacher i have ever had.. I learned great math skills from her and I would defi reccomend her to anyone...she is truly the best

Dr. Gubitose is the coolest teacher I've ever had, she's very laid back helps us understand the material clearly. But make sure you go to every class because she gives you an extra 20 points toward your final grade for perfect attendence.

Totally awesome prof. I think I might actually get through 95 this time. She explains things so clearly and is willing to help us. I wish more teachers were like Dr. G.

She is a great teacher. She gives you extra point on the final for perfect attendance. She is very nice and is very clear. Take notes and do all of the homework assignments and you'll do fine. I got an A- Highly recommend this teacher.

Dr. G is an awesome professor. Very helpful and takes an interest in her students. She is patient and helps you understand math. Her goal is to see her students pass the course and get out of math what they need (nothing more, nothing less).

I took this class during the summer and i found it a real pleasure to have Dr. Gubitose as a teacher. She let us have 2 take home tests. She also didnt make us take the final if we had a 94 or better everage i highly reccomend this class and professor.

Seriously everyone on hear should ignore the little green faces because you'd have to be ignorant to fail her class. She's a math genious and wants nothing bu the best. Show her you're trying and she'll show you she cares! 20pnts on the final for perfect attendance and she gives take home tests too!

I had her as a teacher during the ConnCAS program, she is quite possibly the best math teahcer I have ever had. She is extreamly helpful and she wants to see her students succeed. Her lessons are very clear, and she will stop at anytime and answer any questions. Try very hard to get her as a professor.

I can't say enough good things about her! She's awesome!! I recommend you take her whenever you can.

Just finsihed this course in Summer C. It was a whole lot of work but Dr. G. made the class enjoyable and really explained things so everyone knew the stuff.

This class was totally AWESOME! Definately take Dr. Gubitose. You will work real hard but she'll help you and explain things to you. Best and most considerate professor I have ever had at SCSU!!

Great professor and really fun class. She helped us out a lot. We did a lot of work because it was a summer class but Dr. G. did everything she could to make the course fun and understandable.

Dr. G, is the most grounded professor I have had the honor of being under her tutelage. Algebraic expressions are just that, however, she stated and I paraphrase "I am not here to impress you with my knowledge--I am here to teach you math. And, she did just that. If you are phobic, or just a slow process learning student--she is a straighshooter.

she is so nice, ifyopu go to every class she gives you en extra 20 point son the final exam, really easy but also teaches good

I never liked math but Dr. G made it easier to understand and explained everything clearly. She leaves the floor to the students and asks what you are having trouble with. I don't like math anymore than I used to but having her as my first college math teacher has given me more hope for the rest of these four years.

Very good teacher. Will anwser your questions and is lenient on homework due dates. Gives 20% on final exam for perfect attendance. BTW she is totally HOT!!!!!!

I suck at math, but she gave extra points for a book of work you show from online. Awesome teacher! she helps with everything and will do EVERYTHING she can to help you pass!! Always ask her for help after an exam ( she gives extra points if you try!)

She will not give up until you understand. Very friendly, not intimidating, fair, always patient, and over all a great teacher and person.

Had Dr. G during the intersession and she was great! It was way too much work but she made it tolerable. Good sense of humor and very caring. You won't be afraid to ask questions with her and she will answer them. Tae her whenever you can. Best professor I've had at SCSU.

I had Dr. G for one class, and Im horrible at math, but she took the time to make sure I really understood what was being taught. Its a lot of material, but she is by far the coolest prof at scsu. Definately take her for your math courses.

i just want to tell everyone, that you could only be so lucky to get into her class before it all fills up. she has helped me so much this semester ( summer) and she is such a genuinely good person. i hated math, and now it's bearable and doable. thank you so much dr.g, i wish there were more teachers out there like you.

The best Math teacher I have ever had. A fair grader and is very very helpful. I would definitely take a class with her. We need more Math teachers like her.

Only take this class if you're bad at math. She moves very slowly, and goes over concepts repeatedly until everyone understands. We only got through 5 chapters.

Take her if you are bad at math. But make sure she shows you how to do things long form. She does not make you show your work. But when you go onto MAT 100, if you don't know how to do it long form you are screwed. She will never give up on you. Do the work and you will do well. You can ask a dumb questions and not feel like you will be picked on.

BEST math professor at SCSU!!! she is very clear, teaches the material to you instead of just telling you what it is. Many of the others don't speak english clear, and are very hard to understand. She is aLways at her office hours if you need any help. She makes sure that you don't leave the room without knowing the material. Def. recommend.

Dr. G is the best Math Professor at SCSU I took this class with 2 other professors and could not get the C- needed to move on, thanks to her I know what I'm doing and I got an A+ in her class, DEF TAKE HER!!!

She's such a sweet lady. If you're not good at math, the material will be challenging, but she always clarifies and asks if there's any questions.

She is one of the best teachers I've had so far! She is very clear in explaining the solution and she won't go on until everyone understands it. Her tests use the same problems you learn in class and she doesn't make you memorize formulas if the calculator can do the work for you. A+ teacher in my book

Very nice teacher.Very easy to understand her.Our entire class once failed a test and she let us all re-do it.There are minimal homework assignments and there are online quizzes that should boost your grade up.If you have a 92 average or above, you are exempt from the final. If you have good attendance, she also takes it into consideration.

She's not bad. However, on homework anything more than a LITTLE mistake and you may be looking at a zero. I suggest if you bring a cell phone to her class, you put it in your backpack deep. If she saw one in my class the student lost a letter grade. She is a good teacher none the less but pretty boring at times.

Dr. Gubitose was a great teacher! She made sure everyone understood everything before moving on. Homework wasn't to bad. We took not too many classes and the final was cumulative which gave people an option if you had an A. Classes usually ended early at times, if not they go fast anyways. You just have to pay attention to understand.

This teacher was awesome and really nice...unless you have no common sense. It seems like she doesn't have patience (and neither do classmates) for those who ask irrelevant questions that don't make sense. So don't take her if you're one of those people. Also, she misses class a lot, which can be frustrating, but otherwise she's easy and nice.

Seriously, this professor is great! She helped me so much with Math (in which I struggle with) because she does things step by step. She gets frustrated with questions on simplistic math simply because it's something everyone should know by this point, and if you're struggling that much, you should see the math resource center, not delay lecture.

Took her over the summer. She's a good professor, but ALEKS is an unnecessary addition to the other assigned homework.

Nice person, She does care about the students. If you have perfect attendence she gives you 20 extra points on the final. She is pretty easy going but sometimes a little unclear. The tests are not very difficult and she gives you great study gides for the midterm & final, make sure to study them!

Dr. G is a great professor because she gets straight to the point and teaches students step-by-step through examples. She starts each class by going over questions students might have from the previous class and homework. Then she teaches new material through examples. Her online homework Aleks can be frustrating at time but is useful overall.

Dr. Gubitose moves at a pretty brisk pace,she gets annoyed at questions, and she is not a very lenient grader. Also, ALEKS sucks. A lot. If math is your thing,and you don't really need a refresher, then go ahead, the class shoudn't be a problem. If not, then she might not be the best fit for you.

Best class I have ever taken at SCSU. Great professor and she made me love math more than I already do. She was clear with her teaching. Class was fairly easy and she gave extra points on final if you showed up everyday. Don't text/sleep in class or your grade will go down. Only buy required text for class. Recommended text you will never need.

This class was so easy. She is a great teacher, and explains everything. Class is always ending early. She also constantly offers to help when you don't understand anything. She tells you everything that will be on the tests and the Midterm, so it's impossible to fail.

Being a student that sucks at math. I would say she is a great professor. Willing to help you out and go the extra mile to see her students suceed as long as she sees her students put in the effort. Hw is graded. She lets you know exactly whats going to be on the test, like i mean the specific problems. Also attend every class for 20pts on thefinal

She's a great professor if you make an effort. Knows what she's talking about. Kind of scary, but if you pay attention and class and try to do well, there's no reason why you can't do well. I had her both in class and online, and she was a great professor.

Professor Gubitose was a great professor. I would definitely recommend and I wish she could teach all of my math classes. If you don't get something she will make sure to go over it with you until you get it. She's really nice and her lectures are straight and to the point. Just make sure to pay attention.

I didn't like her at first. She's a tough grader, but she's highly respectable. Overall, she's a great teacher who will help you however she can. You just have to put in the work.

Prof. Gubitose is really helpful, all you need to do is ask for it. She does not go backwards in the chapters, for example, if you are in chapter seven she won't go over something again that was in chapter six. Don't have your phone out, she takes off 10 points of your final grade if caught with it. She gives a lot of extra credit.

Best math teacher I've ever had, and I'm terrified of math. Tough professor, but very respectable. Gives a ton of extra credit and is always willing to help out her students after or during class. Just be sure to show up to class on time and keep any electronics away, otherwise she'll decimate your grade in a heartbeat.

I was dreading this class but it ended up being a class I looked forward to going to every week! Unexcused absences take points off your grade, so make sure you show up to class. She's great at explaining concepts and makes the material easy. There is a lot of online homework, but there are unlimited attempts so it's an easy grade booster!

Prof. Gubitose is one of the best math profs. I've had. Stats can be a super hard class but she breaks it down and makes it easier to learn. All of the homework is online and gives you a couple of times to get 100%. If you have a 90 or higher in the class and perfect attendance she will exempt you from the final exam at the end of the semester.

I was super intimidated at first by Prof. Gubitose. She can be strict, but it ends up benefitting you in the end because it makes you actually engaged in the class. She expects her students to work hard, but teaches in a way so you'll succeed. She's so willing to help outside of class. I failed all math classes I've ever taken except for hers.

Professor Gubitose passed away this December, a truly amazing and hardworking individual. She genuinely cared about her students and their well being. Stats was NOT made any easier in her class, but her compassion and personality made learning more manageable.

RIP to the one of the best Math Teachers Ever!! Her dedication will not be forgotten!!
