interesting class and she's a great teacher. best cst class i've taken.
interesting class. she's a great teacher. made the class fun and definitely not boring. i would strongly recommend taking a class with her.
Cindy is the best teaching prof I've ever had.
Langham is the most professional prof I have ever had. She is very organized, clear, gives plenty of examples, does differnt activities so you aren't bored, helpful and when she hands back your work she details everything you did right and wrong which shows that she puts tons of time and effort into her students. I give her an A+++++++++
fantastic course, she helps you not be so terrified of public speaking! easy tests and 4 major speeches.
Mrs. Langham is the best college at U of D. She makes speech fun by playing learning games. Taking Mrs. Langham is a MUST!!!!
Great Professor. Clear, simple and straight forward. No games, just follow the syllabus. A little prep is needed for Speeches but nothing to difficult. Boring required core class made fun by a great teacher. Take her for sure. No doubts.
I was very nervous to take speech and even left it to my last semester before graduation. However, I would take Professor Langham again! She really made us feel comfortable. My class only had to give 4 speeches during the semester and none of them had to be memorized or were too long in length. Highly recommend taking her for speech!
Professor Langham is the best prof. I have had at UDM. Her lectures are informative and entertaining. She uses real life experiences and class exercises to help you better understand the communication concepts. She allows students to submit a rough draft in order to make corrections to the outline before presenting the speech to the class.
Cynthia Langham is one of the most informative and well-organized profs I have had at this university. Her lectures are interesting as well as entertaining. She illustrates concepts and theories of interpersonal communication with real-life examples. Class exercises are used to keep the class interactive. Loves to teach & cares about students.
AWESOME Prof! She is informative and provides excellent examples to illustrate theories of interpersonal comm. Allows rough drafts of papers before submitting the final paper. Uses music as a transition into the lecture topic. Class is interactive and applies comm. to real-life situations. I did well in the class because of her teaching style!
Absolutely the BEST professor I have had at UDM!
Professor Langham is one of the best profs at UDM. Although she has been teaching for a long time, she is well-connected with her students. Her lectures are informative, interesting, and insightful. The powerpoint slides are helpful in understanding the class material. She also uses movies and tv shows to illustrate interpersonal comm theories.
Prof Langham is one of the most approachable profs I have ever had. Although I struggled a bit at the beginning of the semester (due to my anxiety issues), she encouraged me to continue in the class & helped me to improve my speech outlines. I went to her office hours to practice my speech & she gave me feedback on ways to improve. Very genuine.
I was so scared to take this class (due to my social anxiety) but Prof Langham made me and the rest of the class feel so comfortable. She uses fun/interactive exercises to have us get to know each other better which made us feel like we were part of a family. Prof Langham and my classmates were so supportive. Most genuine prof I have had at UDM.
Cindy is the best public speaking proffessor at udm, she allows u to turn in ur outlines early and she gives u feedback on them, definetly made speech a lot easier and more comfortable, her exams are easy too! Take her !!!
Professor Langham was my favorite professor this semester. Although the speech class is required, I really didn't mind because the information that I learned can be used in other classes (writing/presenting papers). She makes the class interesting by using class activities and videos and builds a supportive atmosphere so everyone is able to succeed
Although I am not a CST major, I have had Professor Langham for three classes. All of her classes have proven to be interesting and informative. She provides thorough feedback on rough drafts of speeches and papers in order to improve. I have used her communication information during my two internships, She is one of the best profs at UDM.
I have social anxiety and thought that I would not be able to survive this class. My advisor suggested I take the class in the summer term because of less students in the class. Professor Langham made this speech experience better than I could have hoped for. Everyone in the class was so supportive and her teaching style made it so easy to learn.
Professor Cynthia Langham is one of the BEST professors I have had in the past three years at UDM. I took this class in the summer because the class size was much smaller and the class was less intimidating. Professor Langham was very approachable and my classmates were very encouraging and understanding of my speech anxiety. Take her class!
I was terrified about taking a speech class. Prof Langham helped to reduce my fear by looking at my outlines and listening to my speeches before I presented them to the class. Prof Langham was very supportive as were my fellow classmates. I learned a lot about communication in this class. Take Prof Langham for speech because she is awesome.
I am a bio-chem major and this class was one of my favorite core classes I have taken since I started at UDM. Professor Langham is engaging, approachable, and fair. She took the time to give feedback on my rough drafts which resulted in building my confidence and earning a good grade Lectures and exercises are very interesting. Take her for speech!
As a freshman, I had many different profs this year. Prof Langham was one of my favorites because she is so organized & a very good speaker. I never missed class because I loved the class because it was intersting & fun. She used lecture guides, activities, & TED Talk speeches to teach us about public speaking. Very thorough when grading outlines.
I think she is very knowledgeable but way overrated as a professor. I thought I killed every one of my speeches and was told by peers that I was a very good speaker but due to her nit-picky grading the best score i was able to get on a speech was an 88%. I got absolutely nothing from lectures and most of the activities were pointless.
Took this prof during the summer and really enjoyed the class. I am a transfer student and she and the other students made me feel very comfortable in class (due to my speech anxiety). The lectures are interesting and the class activities relevant to learning about giving speeches. She is very fair and approachable.
I took Professor Langham for speech and also took her for interpersonal communication. The class is very interactive due to the subject matter. Clips from movies, music, and class activities are used as a basis for learning about concepts and theories that relate to my daily life. The time period for the class needed to be longer.
I had her for my summer class. She was amazing in terms of her teaching style. She gave detailed feedback on every speech as well as gave us peer feedback too. Gotta work really hard but is definitely worth it.
I took Professor Langham for HON CST. She definitely was constructive. Do not wait until the night before to work on your speech as she expects you to be prepared. Class activities were actually fun. Be cautious about your speech dates because it's nearly impossible to change them.
Delayed taking this class until senior year. The class was so beneficial wish I would have taken it my freshman year. Dr Langham was one of my favorite profs here at UDM. I learned not only how to give speeches but my writing improved so much. Loved going to class because lectures were interesting and useful in preparing for the speech assignments.
Prior to taking the class I was petrified of public speaking. After taking the class I can honestly say that my public speaking skills and comfortability have improved noticeably. However, Dr. Langham is unreasonably picky in her critique of speeches. If you're just looking to get an A, I would recommend taking someone else.
Professor Langham was so helpful in reducing my speech anxiety by making the class a supportive environment. Although she is a bit nit-picky, her comments motivated me to improve. Class lectureswere informative & the class activities were fun. The requirements/rubrics for the speeches are very readonable and helped me in presenting the speeches.
There is a reason that Prof Langham's classes are the first speech classes to fill up. She is a GREAT professor. I not only learned how to be a better speaker but my social anxiety was reduced as well because of the support of my classmates. She is one of the most organized people I know. Take her if you can get into her class!
Professor Langham is a caring and genuine person who has your best interests in mind as a student who may be fearful of giving speeches. Appreciated the time she took to read and give feedback on outline tough drafts. This made me feel more confident when I had to deliver the speeches in front of the class. Learned a lot and enjoyed the class.
Dr. Langham is truly one of the best professors i've had at UDM. public speaking is something that I hate doing, but Dr. Langham made me feel so calm and comfortable, that I was able to successfully give speeches. She truly is so caring and gets to know all of her students, if you get the chance to have her, I would 100% recommend
I am so grateful I was able to get into Prof. Langham's class because she is an amazing person and wonderful teacher. She not only inspires you to be a better speaker, she TEACHES you HOW to be a better speaker. She is one of the best professors I have had at UDM. Can't believe she was so effective in helping me deal with my speech anxiety issues!
She is the BEST! I was dreading her class at first, but I ended up never skipping because I loved her class. You learn so much & there are so many learning lessons that she does with the entire class. It is a lot of fun overall. She gives extensive feedback on rough drafts before a speech as well as after. You only ever learn more from her.
This class was overall decent. I felt that I learned a lot and this class helped me become more confident in my speaking abilities. However, Langham was a little too nit picky for my liking and could be very particular on speech outlines. It was kind of an annoying class, but it is also required. She is very organized and great at teaching.
Prof Langham was my favorite this semester. She is so genuine and caring and an awesome teacher. She uses a variety of activities such as video TED Talk speeches and group activities to make the class interesting and informative. Gives extensive feedback on speeches in order for you to improve your speaking skills. Take her for speech!!!!!!!!!!
I took Professor Langham for CST 1010 and CST 2040. Both classes were amazing because I learned so much. Her lectures are interesting and informative and she uses small group activities/case studies, music, and examples from movies scenes to illustrate how these theories occur in our every lives. Langham is very approachable and a good listener.
I suffer from social anxiety and was absolutely terrified to take this speech class. I was told by my friends to take Professor Langham for speech class because she teaches the class knowing that many of us have anxiety issues. She is so knowledgeable about public speaking and is also a very good speaker. She is kind and understanding
Although I had Prof. Langham a few years ago for small group communication, I think about the class quite often while doing my internship at General Motors. So many of the theories she talked about are observed on a daily basis within the workplace and apply to real life experiences. Langham is a great "teacher" and knows how to relate to students.
As a student in the ReBUILDetroit program, I took this class during the SEP prior to the fall semester my freshman year. This was beneficial since I give presentations in my other classes and use many of the skills I learned in class. Dr. Langham is very organized and is a great public speaker. The students really bonded during the class.
I had Prof Langham for 3 courses (speech, interpersonal, & small group) and she helped me find an internship. These three courses prepared me for my internship and I was able to apply the communication theories we talked about in class to real life experience. She goes above and beyond to help all of her students and has become a mentor to me.
Had to wait to take her class until sophomore year because her sections close so fast. She is an awesome teacher. She knows her stuff and knows how to TEACH it. Has students work together on activities in order to keep us engaged and class environment feels like a family. She is very encouraging, understanding, and wants all students to succeed.
Take Professor Langham for speech class. You will not regret it. She's awesome!
Prof. Langham is a very invested and inspirational teacher. She uses a variety of teaching strategies to appeal to different learning styles. She usually starts class with a short lecture and then has us work in small groups to discuss a case study or do an experiential activity. I really appreciated her feedback on the journal and final paper.
Am currently taking this class online and am really enjoying it. Ms. Langham encourages us to submit rough drafts of our speech outlines and gives very detailed feedback. She plays music right before class and creates a positive learning environment. My peers also give positive feedback right after people give their speeches. Awesome online class!
I recently completed an internship experience and absolutely loved it! Professor Langham was instrumental in helping me find the internship and now i know I want to go into the field of digital media. My classes at Detroit Mercy prepared me well as I transitioned into my first real work experience. I hope to do another internship before I graduate.
Since we are getting ready to pick our classes for next semester, I wanted to recommend that you take professor Langham for speech. I'm taking her class this semester and it is my favorite class. We have to give 4 speeches, take a couple exams, and do some class activities like watch TED Talk speeches and do breakout group discussions. FUN class.
I liked all my classes this semester but Professor Langham's class was my favorite. She really made sure we did our best in the class by giving feedback on our outline rough drafts and meeting with us virtually to practice our speeches. For an online class it was FUN. Take her for speech. because she uses different strategies to keep you engaged.
BEST. SPEECH. PROFESSOR. AT. DETROIT. MERCY. Take her class!!!!!!!!
This is my first semester at UDM and had some difficulty adjusting to online learning. This speech class with Prof Langham was by far the best class. She is so caring and really made our class interactive. The class had a sense of community because I really wanted everyone to do great on their speeches. She is very organized and helpful.
Even though this speech class was online, Professor Langham made the class interactive and us students really had a chance to get to know each other. She was so understanding and so encouraging that it made us want to do well for the sake of everyone in the class. The class was very organized and used activities to keep us engaged in the class.
Great class. Great professor. Great activities. Great feedback. Great student interaction. Great sense of community. Great speech examples. Great organization to the course. Great experience!
I had an amazing experience in this speech class. Not only did I get a chance to learn about the effective way to deliver a speech , I had a professor who was very skilled at teaching the course. Professor Langham is a great teacher and an equally amazing person. She uses activities and examples of speeches to make the class interesting.
I was always nervous giving speeches but that changed with Prof. Langham. She always gave me tips on what to improve and how to tailor a speech to my audience. There are a total of four speeches and three exams. The speeches you just need to practice for and follow the rubric. The exams did not cover lots of material and were not bad.
This class was one of the best classes I have ever taken. Prof Langham is so helpful and goes above and beyond in order to make you feel comfortable in improving your speaking skills. I loved going to class (online) and participating in the fun and useful activities. My peers were supportive and helped cheer me on when I was nervous.
Because I have social anxiety, I waited until my senior year to take this course. I now wish I had taken it sooner because this class was such a great experience. Not only did I improve my ability to give speeches, it helped to lessen my anxiety issues. Prof Langham and the students in the class were very supportive and understanding .Great class.
Prof Langham is awesome, by far one of my favorite professors at the university. Public speaking has become feared next to death by modern students, and Prof Langham provides you with the feedback and tips to build confidence when speaking. She understands students more than most professors and is willing to go the extra mile for her students. A+
If you want to take a prof that knows how to teach and really cares for you as a student, then you should take Prof Langham for speech. This class was online and was more interactive than any in person class I have had in college. The participation activities really helped to build a supportive learning environment. GREAT CLASS and GREAT TEACHER.
I am so glad that I took this speech class as a freshman. Professor Langham is a great teacher and the class has prepared for me for presentations I will have to give in my business classes. The class has lots of activities to keep you involved. Some TEDTalk examples are watched in class. I enjoyed listening to my classmates give speeches.
I was concerned about taking a public speaking class online, but this class was one of the most organized and informative classes I have taken. Prof Langham is very helpful and wants all students to succeed. She let us submit rough drafts of our outlines to correct the mistakes before we gave the speeches to our peers. Heard some great speeches.
I WAITED TO TAKE PUBLC SPEAKING UNTIL MY SENIOR YEAR BECAUSE I HAVE SUCH A FEAR OF Of PUBLIC SPEAKING. NOW THAT I HAVE HAD PROFESSOR LANGHAM AS A PROFESSOR, I WISH I HAD TAKEN IT SOONER. SHE IS SO ENCOURAGING AND PATIENT. CLASS LECTURES AND SPEECH ASSIGNMENTS ARE INTERESTING. MY CLASSMATES WERE ALSO VERY SUPPORTIVE. GREAT TEACHER AND GrEAT CLASS.
This class was so useful in helping to reduce my social anxiety and was also useful in helping me write papers for my other classes. Prof Langham is very practical and has the patience of a saint. The class is so organized with weekly announcements, handouts that explain each speech, and fun activities that help us apply the material we learned.
Absolutely loved this public speaking class and Professor Langham as a teacher. I never missed class once because the class was so engaging. As a freshman undecided about a major, I now know after taking this class that I want to major in communication. Looking forward to taking Professor Langham for more communication classes in the future.
It was an online speech class which was challenging but she made it work. Was very understanding, clear and made lecture enjoyable.
Although this was a required class for communication studies, I still would have taken it because the information was immediately applicable to everyday life. Prof Langhams lectures were inspirational and the class activities provided a better understanding of interpersonal theories. She also gives very thorough feedback on all assignments.
I took Professor Langham for two classes this semester- public speaking and interpersonal communication. I really liked both classes. Lectures were interesting and class activities were fun interacting with my class mates. Class atmosphere was very supportive while giving speeches. Learned alot from listening to everyones speeches. Fun class.
I absolutely loved this class and the way Professor Langham taught public speaking. She really is a role model for speeches because she uses the ideas she teaches about during her lectures. She accepts rough drafts of speech outlines so you can correct your written mistakes before actually presenting your speech to the class. Take her for speech!
There is a reason that it is difficult to get a seat in Prof. Langham's speech class. She is one of the BEST professors I have ever had at UDM. The students in bonded from the beginning of class based on Prof. Langham's teaching style. I improved with every speech due to Prof. Langham's feedback and the support of everybody in our class.
Very difficult to get an A; grades outlines and notecards rather than the speech; shes unnecessarily picky abt formating. My speech skills did not improve one bit. We were told attendance was optional but she gave 'experience' points for showing up, so if you didn't you'd lose a bunch of points. I TRULY regret taking this class with this prof.
Professor Langhams class was my favorite class this semester. Was surprised by a previous rating because she made it clear how to get an A. Submit a rough draft of your outline before your speech is due and she will give you feedback on how to correct it. Lots of class activities and examples shared on how to improve your speaking. Fun class!
This class helped me with my presentations in other classes and helped improve my writing. My speaking skills got better with every speech I presented. Professor Langham encouraged us to submit a rough draft of our outlines before the speech was presented in class. This helped to reduce my anxiety and gave me confidence to well in the class.
This class was the most practical class I have ever taken. Interpersonal communication is so important in our everyday lives. The way Professor Langham teaches is very engaging and the assignments were helpful in understanding the concepts discussed in class. To be honest, this class should replace the speech class because it is used every day.
I was so glad to be in a F2F class setting and Professor Langham made that transition easy. Her teaching style had us interacting with each other every class. She used a variety of things to teach us--lectures, music, movie and video clips, case studies, and PowerPoint slides. Assignments included journal entries, a paper, and 2 exams. Fun class!
The class was organized and expectations were clear. We did activities in class to better understand speech concepts. The prof used rubrics for speeches and gave great feedback so you knew exactly what had to be done to do good on the speeches. 4 speeches and a few exams. Learned alot from listening to the speeches delivered by the other students.
I am currently taking this class, and would recommend that you take Prof Langham if you need to take a speech class. She creates a good atmosphere in class and everyone supports one another. Follow her directions and use the examples for the speech assignments and you will do well in the class. Only 4 speeches and a few exams and extra credit.
interesting how high these ratings are; not my experience - attendance is 'optional' but you get experience points, so def show up. wish i took someone else. also all these ratings sound so similar lol...
my friends took roche, wish i did too
There is a reason mrs. langhams classes fill up so fast. Look at all the other profs ratings that teach this course. lol
Waited to take Miss Langham for two years because her courses have always closed by the time I could register for her class. Was worth the wait, she lets you turn in rough drafts of speeches to make corrections before you present your speech. Follow her directions and rubrics and you will do well in the class.
I had Dr. L for interpersonal comm last semester and that class has been one of my favorite CST classes so far. I learned alot about myself through self-reflection. It was the journal assignments I found most interesting (and got good grades on them LOL). She is a great teacher because she is creative and cares about you as an individual.
Dr. Langham is my academic advisor and I had her as my prof for 3 communication classes. As a student at UDM for the past 4 years, I can honestly say she is one of the best professors I had during my time at UDM. She is creative, approachable, and genuine. She is very understanding and will bend over backwards to help you succeed.
Take her for speech. She is awesome and cares about you not just as a student but as a person.
The semester is ending & I can honestly say this interpersonal comm class was my favorite this semester. Prof Langham uses creative activities, scenes from movies, & case studies that we could easily relate to. The workload is not intense and the class is pretty chill. She is understanding and available to meet to help you with assignments.
4 speeches + 3 exams = easy peasy!
The class was very organized because info was posted in a weekly Blackboard announcement. The teacher lets you turn in a rough draft before a speech is presented. This helped me with my anxiety because it let me focus on practicing the delivery of my speech. Very understanding when it comes to students who are nervous about giving speeches.
I learned alot in this class because it is applicable to everyday life and my relationships with others. I really enjoyed the movies like The Break Up and Hitch that applied to the ideas we discussed in class. It was cool to have music playing when we entered the class. Made some new friends as a result of the class.
Really enjoyed this class and listening to other students present their speeches. Pretty easy to get an A as long as you come to class and submit rough drafts to get feedback before you present the speech. The group activities are fun and class is pretty laidback.
Grades with too much detail! Choose another professor.
Very strict on attendance, her speeches are really hard, she asks for a lot of detail.
HAPPY TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK, Prof. Langham! You are one of my favorite "teachers" at Detroit Mercy.
This was my favorite class this past semester. I really liked how Professor Langham used realistic case studies for us to be able to relate with. She was very quick in answering my emails whenever I had a question about an assignment. The feedback she gave on assignments helped me to improve on the next assignments. She is also very nice.
She is organized and responds to emails quickly. I have bad anxiety and she met with me so I could practice my speeches ahead of time and she gave me tips on how to be less nervous. One the the best parts of the class was listening to everyone's speeches.
This class was a breeze in comparison to all my other science oriented classes this semester. I liked everyone's speeches and we all became friends by the end of the semester. Professor Langham is a very positive person. She lets us turn in a rough draft of speech outlines to get feedback before we present the speech. Lets you miss class 3 times.
Took 2 classes with Professor Langham this semester. I liked the public speaking class but loved the interpersonal class. Will be able to apply iinfo from both classes in my future career in pr and advertising. Both classes had fun activities that helped me understand the theories talked about in class. The extra credit helps to boost your grade.
Loved professor Langahm! Made class enjoyable to go to and comfortable when presenting. You can submit your outline to her ahead of time and she'll help you. Clear rubric on what she wants for speeches, easy A in my opinion! You can miss up to 3 classes and you'll get ec at the end of the semester
They did not have the course I took with her so I just picked a course labeled similarly (I had her for CST4990). Dr. Langham is a wonderful professor! She is caring, kind, compassionate, and understanding. She wants her students to succeed. I always enjoyed attending her course, in fact, I never wanted to miss it.
I took her class based on the reviews Her class is straightforward. She gives you an outline to follow for speech easy on the grading gives snacks and a very bubbly person Her exams are also easy with a study guide that you review before the exam responds quickly to emails too sooo nice If there's open spots in her classes for sure take her
If you are looking to take a fun and pretty easy speech class take Professor Langhaem. You have to give 4 speeches, take 3 exams, and can miss class a few times. Lectures and group activities are interesting. I really enjoyed listening to everyone's speeches. Everyone in class was nice and so was Professor Langhaem because she gave us snacks.
Cynthia's class was definitely a good choice. You only have like 4-5 main speeches however, she definitely grades by the outline and is very nitpicky so watch out for that.
For a required core class this class was pretty chill. Best part of the class was listening to everyone's speeches, the extra credit, and the snacks. LOL. Seriously tho, I learned alot and was not too nervous giving the last speech. The teacher treated us with respect and she herself is a very good public speaker.
I took professor Langham for 2 classes this semester. This class was my favorite because it was a senior seminar class & students really contributed to class discussions. We also worked on our communication portfolios. I really enjoyed the guest speakers (UDM alumni) that provided me with insights about the communication profession. AWESOME CLASS!
5/5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I highly recommend taking Dr. Langham for the public speaking class. The class has a good balance of giving speeches, doing activities, and class discussion. You have to give 4 speeches, take 2 exams, and can do extra credit. I never missed class because I made a lot of friends in class.
The students in our class became friends with each other. Professor Langham emphasized a concept called ubunto which is a South African concept which emphasizes the interconnectedness of individuals and that really was reflected through our behaviors in class. I really enjoyed listening to everyone's speeches and seeing people improve. Great class.
i saw her reviews on here so i decided to take her class and it was the best decision easy clear speech rubric easy exams extra credit i made so many friends in class and she gives out fun activities we did a murder mystery at the end of the semester and everyone in class had fun definitely take her class but spots get filled up quick
Professor Langham is an awesome teacher who really cares about her students. The class is easy if you follow her guidelines - turn in rough drafts, attend class, and use unstuck ai for speech prep.
Dr. Langum goes above and beyond to create a positive learning experience for everyone in the class. Although she is a bit older, she is more in touch with our generation than some of the professors I have had that are younger than her. Take her for speech if her class isn't already filled up. She also gives snacks as prizes for class activities.
This teacher really cares about students and offers extra credit and snacks as prizes to motivate you so you want to come to class. We did 4 speeches and took 2 exams. Classes involve activities so you just don't sit and listen to lectures every day but you learn by doing. Now I know why her classes fill up so fast because she is a great teacher.
As a CST major, I have taken every class that Professor Langham teaches. This interpersonal class has been my favorite. Everything we talked about in class related to my life—friendships, perception, listening, etc. This class should be required for everyone and should be a core option to pick either public speaking or interpersonal com.
Happy teacher appreciation week, Professor Langham. Loved your interpersonal communication class and wanted to let you know how much I appreciate everything you do for the Communication Department.
The absolute best professor at UDM, the most caring professor and will literally get on the phone call with you to help you as much as she can!
I would definitely recommend taking her for any of your speech classes. Her powerpoint is what I used in her class and did awesome on all of them. Her as a professor was the best; she answers emails quickly and will get on a phone call with you to make sure you understand what you are doing. She also always says not to hesitate to reach out.
She is very nice and understanding. I would recommend her to any student who doesn't want to be stressed out over a speech class and wants to end with a good final grade. She spends hours and hours outside of class helping us and even provides some extra credit. As long as you ask for help when needed, you will do great!
Awesome lady.
Take Professor Langham for speech because she is so nice and understanding. She puts a lot of time into giving feedback on our speeches because she wants all of the students to succeed in the class. She gave us snacks because she knows some of us don't have much of a break between classes to eat something. 4 speeches, 3 exams, and extra credit.
So glad that I took Prof Langham for speech because she helped me so much during office hours to deal with my speech nervousness. Her advice helped me improve on all my speeches.
I looked forward to coming to class--it was a nice "break" from all of my STEM classes. Our class became like family and everyone was so supportive of each other. I learned so much and improved on all of my speeches and even became less fearful of giving a speech. The professor's personality is what brought all of this together. Awesome class!
