Super Easy Teacher she gives you study guides of the test and half will be on it. There are 3 papers in the class, she doesn't really say much about them except the format and what pages in the book you write about. Overall, nice teacher and helps out if u have questions and lectures where pretty straight forward(writes on the board you write down)

This Class is soooo Easy!!! It is the Easiest class you will ever take.. but not only is it easy but it is intresting..She writes an outline on the board and you take notes you off of it.. you get a study guide for quizzes and test and you only have to write 2 papers that are easy.. Take this class. She knows her stuff and makes it intresting..

This class is very intersesting, because she knows her stuff. All lectures include an outline she writes on the board and you just copy. All of her tests come straight from the outlines! She even gives study guides that have all possible questions that will be on the test! If it's not on the study guide it's not in the test. LOVED HER!!!

Dr. Lehman is an incredible professor; she makes every class interesting and her teaching techniques are student friendly and is a great Honor's instructor. Loved her class. She has a real passion for teaching history. Study guides are great. If you study the guides you'll have no problem passing the quizzes and exams. Doesn't use the book much, it's all notes.

Typical college class 3 quizzes, 3 tests and a research paper. Study guides are given for quizzes and tests of possible questions. If its not on the study guide its not on the test. I always hated history but Dr. Lehman created a story. Every class was a different chapter in the story. Explains things clearly and always willing to answer questions

LOVED HER! just copy the notes. She uses the book but doesn't go in that order. As long as you have the notes, test is easy. She gives a study guide. No homework. Just tests and a final paper. Class can be kinda boring (its history whatd ya expect) but she is really cool.

She is one of my favorite teachers. I like the material she brings to the class. WE never use the text book. You would have to try hard to fail this class. I've taken 2 history classes from her, and maybe a 3rd coming.

Awesome teacher. Lecture matches exactly what is on the notes. Has a study day before the test, and is very helpful. She does not play with attendance so be sure to show up. Again, awesome teacher who pushes you, and makes learning fun. I recommend you take her!

Very good class. I hate history and she got me kind of interested. Has a very monotone, very high-pitched voice which got kind of bothersome after awhile. Will give you a study guide before the test of say, 40 items, and half of that will be on the test. Test are all short answer and she doesn't emphazise dates, just what happened. Good teacher.

she is a very nice lady that teaches well. she tells you exactally whats on the tests so there is no reason not to get A's. you take a lot of note but they're whats on the test. she actually made me like history!

As much as i dreaded history i actually got interested in this class. You can tell she is very passionate about teaching and is a very good teacher. you have to take alot of notes but she gives you review for the final and as long as you study for that you will be fine, you also have one paper which is 8 pages..

I had her for African American history and it was the best! She is so passionate and knowledgeable about the subject. As far as a class, there are only three tests and a paper. Tests are easy if you study. Easy to get engaged in this one!

I took Dr. Lehman for History 110, then 111, then 108 & 113 just because she was THIS fantastic! I now plan to become a history professor because of her influence & the ease in which I not only learned but REMEMBERED what she taught. You do have to study, but there are only a few tests and one paper, no homework. She's one of the best at AVC!!

I took her for 3 semesters of history. By far my favorite teacher in college. She really is cool and pretty easy as well as understanding. I couldn't say anything bad about her if I tried. I got a high A in every semester and didn't find much of it really hard.

When you take History take it with Lehman! Her class is easy and fun! You may have heard you have to do an 8 page paper...well i had a blast writing it, its no ordinary paper..Overall, she knows this subject and is very passionate about it! You take alot of notes but she knows how to teach! her tests are short answer and an essay; study guides!

Dr. Lehman is an incredible teacher. You learn so much in her class. The only work is one term paper and three exams. There are reviews the week before the exams, so if you don't get an A it's your fault.

I took her for 110 and 111 and she is awesome. Her 3 tests are easy and even the 8-page essay is easy. The only negative thing, she can be a bit boring at times. But I rather have a boring teacher who you can easily pass than an exciting teachers who are very difficult (Vento, Wiewall, etc.). I highly recommended this teacher. Easy A right here.

Do Not Buy The Book!!! It will be a waste of your money. I took Dr. Leahman for both 110 and 111 and I loved it. She is a excellent professor, that loves her subject. She actually has been to the places, and seen the things that she teaches about, and it makes that subject that much better.

Don't buy the textbook even if she says so, we used it once. She's really nice and if you're into the stuff it will be "easy". I'm a history major so it was a fun class, I've taken just about every Hist Prof at AVC and she's just as great. She'll answer all the study guide questions with you in class and shows a lot of clips for visual rep.

This class is awesome! I loved coming to every class. I never used my book, so don't buy one. All the information you need to know on the test is your notes from lecture. The only thing challenging is the 8 page paper and that's it. Easy A type of class.

I took Dr. Lehman's Hist-110 class, fall 2011. She is an awesome teacher. This is a must take class. I learned so much. If you take notes and pay attention you'll do fine. Remember, start your final paper as early as possible. This class has changed my outlook concerning Africn history.

Very good teacher. Non-biased and good at presenting the truth. Don't miss class, you'll miss a lot of notes. But that's all. No reading, no homework. Just tests and papers. She is so adorable, but she's a little strict. Takes class really serious so no electronics. It's basically a class where you just hear lecture and take tests all based on them. Pretty simple unless you're that lazy. And best part is NO BOOK REQUIRED :)

I loved this class. She seems to have very well rounded knowledge about the topic. The textbook is not required, all tests are based on the notes and she gives you a study guide. There is some homework but it's really easy. Even though I don't need it, I would take history 111 with her if I wasn't transferring. I highly recommend taking her.

This teacher was great! She gives you study guides for every test and quiz and everything on the test is based off of her lectures in class so don't miss any. She requires quite some reading assignments but in class she asks you what was the readings about and a student will answer and there basically she said everything just in case you didn't read. He gives you the whole study guide for all the tests you will take. 5 take home tests, 1 research paper, 25 articles on health summaries, 2-3 sentences & the class tests are the exact questions on the study guide but must read study guide. study guide has page where the answers are. gives plenty of extra credit.

She is one of the most organized and reasonable teachers I've had. We had no homework, just 3 exams and 1 research paper. She gives study guides and the exams are an easy pass if you come to class and actually listen to the lectures. A book is not at all necessary to purchase.

Straight forward lectures. Just pay attention and you'll pass. She doesn't make students buy the text book and encouraged internet use to study. Only 3 test the entire semester and 1 paper due at the end. She has a chill vibe, lectures can feel long at times but they are a good balance between interesting and boring.

I have taken Professor Lehman for 2 semesters now and she is definitely knows her African American history. This is not a class to relax in. You should always come prepared to take notes because it will be a great help with exams. She is a pretty easy teacher. You have to write a paper of course but most of the class consist of her lectures.

I really liked Dr. Lehman's class, it was a bit challenging, but if you take notes you will have a better chance. She was really sweet and I was sad when the class ended because I really got into the lecture and discussions, I learned a lot about African American history. She requires 1 essay and 3 exams, all done on blackboard.

Her class consisted of only 4 things ( 3 tests & a midterm paper) her class was fairly easy but since your grade relies on the 4 things, boosting ur grade up when you do badly on any of the 4 is difficult, so you need to actually do all 4 things. Her lecture though can be dry sometimes but maybe its because I took. a 3 hour long class but it was ok

Professor Lehman's class is one of the easiest classes i've ever taken. Her class consists of 3 tests (take good notes and read the links she puts on canvas) and one paper (which is based on your opinion). She is very knowledgeable and makes the class as simple as possible. As long as you come to and make a little bit of effort, you'll pass!

Only gave three tests and were all open notes. Only one paper to write. Homework every week - reading and a few questions to answer. Very patient with students. Excellent teacher!

There were 3 online tests and one research paper. Tests were relatively easy if you did the weekly readings and take notes from the lectures. I finished with an A even though I missed quite a few classes. Extra credit was given although they were a bit inconvenient, but she does give you the option to write an essay if you were unable to go.

there are 3 midterms and they are based of the lecture so pay attention and the homeowkr she assigns, i didnt do the homework everytime but i wrote down her powerpoints and went over them before tests and i did just fine. she does give extra credit and shes does everything through canvas so you wont ever not now whats going on or the dates

She is a good professor considering COVID conditions. I never read any of the articles, but as long as you read the slides and take notes, you will pass with an A. There is no reason why you shouldn't pass with an A. She also offers lots of extra credit; I will utilize it as much as possible!!

She is a really good teacher and the class isn't that hard at all. You read the articles assigned to you and she goes over the material in class. She also gives her point of view on some things because she was actually born during the time of some events. You should be able to learn a lot in her class if you pay attention.

You always know what to expect! She removed the research paper. Weekly discussions are 25% and the tests are also 25% each. In the end, she adds a little boost to your grade, so 85% would be an A. Try not to miss classes. She doesn't have the lecture slides available to you, so just go to class and take notes. Tests are open-note and timed.

Truly enjoyed this course. Professor Lehman knows the subject well. She was encouraging and suggested places to visit in order to learn more of the subject at hand. Lectures are a must and there are lots of notes. Missing a lecture will set you back but you can pick up pretty quickly. Would take her again!

Professor Lehman's class was simple. Follow the lectures and the documents she gives you to read, and you should be fine when taking the tests. Don't listen to the bad reviews. This is my second time taking Lehman and her lectures are always amazing, and informative. The people criticizing her most likely aren't interested in learning about African American History. She really knows her stuff and if it was possible, I would take every history class with her because she's that good.

Only graded assignments are three test and an essay. Grading on the essay is not harsh and test are multiple choice and open note. VERY lecture heavy. Will not drop for attendance and adds 5% to final grade at the end of the semester. Can be a bit rude but it's worth it for the easy A. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO LEARN!

The lectures are very detailed but they give you good information that you are tested on. Professor always responds to emails and will give you advice on the paper

For someone who is new to taking online classes, Professor Lehman's class not only was very accessible, but she was a concise and helpful professor when it came to handling assignments! Every assignment was easily understandable and easy to submit - I recommend her class for any students who also have to work and take classes.
