Online class. For the1st 3 weeks she gave us feedback, then gone for the rest of the course. We were left completely to our own interpretations of the work.I could have written anything and it would not have mattered. I do not believe she read any of our essays, just used an electronic grading system. Please think before you take this class!

This professor is not helpful, she doesn't grade papers on time and in another words she doesn't want you to be smart (just dumb. SHE TELLS HER STUDENTS THEY ARE BEING TO COLLEGIATE,I MEAN WHAT PROF. DOES THAT. Thought we were in school, my fault. She doesn't grade papers and will tell you to redo an assignment just to give her more time to BS.

This was the worst teacher i have taken at Wake Tech. She didnt help me with anything. Do not take this class if you need help with English, obviously this teacher thinks that her students know everything there is to know. horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very vague instructions. She never returns assignments in a timely manner. She is one of those teacher's who just seem like they don't want to give out A's! For example, I had 3 master's in englich read my paper for grammatical errors and still received an 88 on one paper. For a 300 level class, maybe. For 111 she is expecting too much!

This class is horrible! An enormous amount of work coupled with lack of feedback and condescending instructor. She states that our DB posts are meant to help us on major essays, but how can it help when they aren't graded until a month later?! No individual feedback whatsoever, ridiculous grading system. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS! I got by with a B, but I swear it was the hardest English class I have ever taken in my life. She NEVER gives positive feedback, but gladly points out EVERY mistake, little or big. It takes her FOREVER to grade things, if she even gets around to it. I waited 6 weeks for a grade.... BE WARNED! DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!

This lady is the most annalitical uncooperative professor I have ever had the pleasure to be a student of. If you have the opportunity, do yourself a favor and drop her class as soon as possible. Her grading system is very inconsistant. I had a professor from another school with a Masters in English tutor me and after his revisions I made 70's.

She's a pretty horrible teacher. I've always been an A/B student and lets just say I had to drop her class or I would have gotten a D. She is a horrible grader, she points out every single mistake, but doesn't give you any positive feedback. She requires you to do a lot of homework as well.

Stay away, STAY away, STAY AWAY!!!!!! This instructor is absolutely ridiculous! She grades extremely harsh. She always finds something wrong with your work. She takes 10 million years to grade work. She doesn't respond to emails but when she does, she has smart remarks. Bottom line, Worst English professor of all time! Take someone else!

This instructor is a ridiculous to say the least. Teaches this class like its a PhD curriculum. Why she's still employed at Wake Tech baffles me. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs. You will regret it if you take this class.

I became unenchanted with C. Neighbors when I asked for help. Her response was disingenuous and patronizing. She did not answer my questions and tried to start an argument through misquoting me. I found her to be argumentative and, she misses out on teaching opportunities because of this. I would not recommend this teacher.

Assignment instructions very confusing, with conflicting information. You gave to be very good at deciphering what is expected. Be prepared to write essays and receive harsh critic. Final exam is a timed, hand written essay on campus. no extra credit is allowed.

When taking a class from Mrs. Neighbors, you have read, read, and read. If you don't you're screwed. She expects a lot from her students and if they do not meet her expectations, you will receive a bad grade. There is no room for mistake in her class.

I had her for both ENG 111/112. I ended up with her again for ENG 112 because of waitlists. Out of every paper I've written for her, she grades tough and finds the smallest mistakes regardless of how hard you work. I took feedback from previous papers and consulted other English profs for my last paper and I still ended up with a C.

My experience with professor Booth-neighbors is one for the books. Shes a difficult grader, assigns way too much work, and has an usual grading system. Her emails are very vague, and can seem very demeaning. I took her ENG 112 course online, with intent on getting a better grade. Lets just say, I didnt get a better grade.

This class was so hard and not because of the work but because of this professor. There is no teaching, it's all trial and error in trying to figure out what she wants. The communications are very confusing and the grading is very tough!

All the COUNTLESS reading assignments we were given came from a textbook that was out of print and extremely hard to get. All of her DB assignment questions are very bare bones and haven't been updated in over 5 years, yet still contain grammatical and spelling errors. She takes a very long time to grade things.

Very confusing instructions on online assignments. Does not explain assignments or due dates clearly and students are left to decipher what she wants. Takes a very long time to grade assignments and does not offer any helpful feedback.

Finishing the class now and I am quite upset, as I have had extra help just to be able to get through the essays and I think I may have to retake the class with another professor. Countless DB assignments and directions for essays are found in 4 different tabs all varying with confusing constructions for each one.

Very hard tests based on memorization instead of understanding. If you disagree with her interpretation or use a synonym of the answer, it's wrong. I lost nearly full credit for using "Supernatural Evidence" instead of "Spectral Evidence" when describing the meaning of a quote. Also extremely rude and talks down to students for asking questions.

Confusing blackboard set up. Had way too many things going in different areas.

Just finished this class and I can say without out a doubt that she is a horrible teacher. She was very rude whenever I reached out to ask a question. Never graded in a timely manner. She gave horrible feedback on my papers. Never felt as if she enjoyed teaching, and is a very uninvolved teacher. Do not recommend her at all.

1) Very tough grader. 2) Unclear instructions. That is a very bad combination. Additionally, her instructions had typos and all the dates in BB were incorrect (from the last semester). The assignments weren't very hard on their own, but her instruction made them difficult. If you can get another professor, I recommend doing that.

Maybe the worst teacher I had for English. Would not recommend to anyone, the teacher takes a very long time to grade papers, the feedback is very minimal, the instructions were unclear, and the due dates were also messed up. Take my advice and sign up for another teacher and not this one.

Took an 8-week summer course. Harsh grader, unclear instructions, and minimal feedback. Several due dates were posted incorrectly. The syllabus and instructions were full of errors. Poor blackboard organization. Assigned 1-2 weekly discussion posts and responses, 3 papers, and two tests. Read Pride and Prejudice, The Well of Loneliness, and Sula.

Please choose your professors wisely. I wish I told my past version self to never take this class, she truly takes her time with grading so by the time you get your papers back you're already submitting another one that you can't fix the mistake you made. Please avoid taking her class. She's a harsh grader and unwilling to understand her faults.
