she's not bad.. makes a great outline.. lots of work.. 3 or more missed classes result in -3pts.. good personality

she is a great teacher. very nice and down to earth. i would recommend her to anyone who has to take the psychology 101. just make sure to do the homework and reading, and come to class on time. she doesn't like when you're late. tests and quizzes are fairly easy if you did the homework and remember the answers.

I took her for HMDV 200 over the winter and I had a blast. What an interesting professor. Class was never dull, every student engage in all the topics which made it enjoyable to attend. I would highly recommend this teacher. She let you know what's going to be on the exams.

I thought she was a great professor. The first day she told our class that the course is very writing intensive. Believe her! Try your best and you'l do very well.

Holy crap, this was the most amazing class ever. It was deemed a "writing intensive" course, but with a couple notable exceptions, it didn't feel like it. Class was engaging every day, and I didn't get bored even though it was 3.5 hours long. I would definitely, definitely recommend this professor.

Loved her! Class was very interesting with lots of class discussions. Great sense of humor. There is a lot of writing involved but she grades it pretty fairly. Her tests were a little difficult but you can easily bring up your grade with the writing assignments. I would recommend her.

She is such a great professor & she makes class so interesting and fun. Shes not like an ordinary professor who just lectures and makes class no fun. She incorporates many different activities within her lesson so different types of learning styles are used.I recommend this professor for psychology.She opens your eyes to look at things differently

She gives chapter outlines for homework, but then before you go over the outlines, she quizzes you. So, if you got the answer wrong on the outline, you get it wrong on the quiz. It kind of sucked. But she is very nice and helpful. Class wasn't boring, though quizzes sucked bad.

I learned alot of things that I didnt know about human development. Mrs. Nic is very helpful and makes her class interesting. This class consists of many written assignments and mini research papers but if you keep up with the homework assignments and study for your exams you will get and A! Tests are multiple choice and a couple short answers.

Great teacher! I had her for the Spring Semester of 2012. She is helpful and very nice, she tends to tell some life stories that are quite relevant to the topics we are discussing in class. She is not an easy grader, you cannot slack off when you're completing assignments for her! She gives out extra credit too, so take advantage of those!

Ms. Nic is an amazing teacher! I had her for Lifespan Development and I am planning on taking her for psychology as well. She grades assignments very quickly, exams are very reasonable, she always presents information in a way that you can easily relate to, and she is always eager to help you and answer questions.

Ms. Nic is amazing she's one of the best teachers i've had at HCC i really enjoyed her class.. and it's pretty straight forward so if you don't do well then it's on you.

One of my favorite classes I've taken thus far. Mrs. Nic will help you as long as you're trying. Her class Is the only class I've never thought about skipping, (if that helps any.) Shares many real life situations and experiences which lightens class and helps understanding each topic.

Omg this is the BEST teacher! She is hilarious, kind, caring and genuinely wants her students to succeed! You have to do a lot of reading for her class but it really just benefits you in the end. She always makes herself available for questions and concerns about the course work, and helps in anyway she can. Please take her! She is awesome sauce!!!

Lots of weekly or biweekly discussions and quizzes online, but it allows you get an easy homework grade. Had three short papers, 2-3 long ones and some units tests. All very easy if you set aside the time. Participation is key, but it's very easy to add in a story because it is about your lifetime. She's also very willing to help a student out.

Professor Nic is awesome for Lifespan Development! She really explains the material well with plenty of funny life stories. There's chapter quizzes and discussion posts online. There's three main writing assignments, a movie analysis and 3 unit tests with no final. She's a pretty easy grader and I never skipped. I'd take her again in a heartbeat!

She is the only professor who understands that exams are not who you are because she was not a good test taker herself. She makes the class interesting with her many life stories and is hilarious most times! Please take her!! She will become your favorite teacher! Glad to have taken her class during winter!

I enjoyed this class for the most part. Lectures were interesting and informative, and I was always excited to go to class. However for her written assignments her grading is incredibly tough, especially because she doesn't do a very good job at outlining exactly what she wants, and her instructions could be confusing.

She's the reason why I'm changing my major to Psych!! Incredible teacher. Though the workload is heavy for a 101 class, she is great at explaining the material and her lectures are interactive. I will say don't take this class if you really don't have the drive to do chapter homework and online quizzes on a weekly basis. But her class is amazing!!

She is an Awesome professor. She makes the material interesting and meaningful. As long as you work hard and ask for help when needed. She welcomes you to come to office hours to get help on anything. A quiz every chapter and a few tests as long as you do the homework its not hard.

Most people at HCC talks about how PSYC is so hard well thats because theyre not taking this teacher! She makes class so interesting whereas other teachers just read straight from their powerpoint. We basically just have group discussions and play kahoot. Thats it. Shes easy to talk to and I defenitly reccomend her

Dr Cynthia Nicodemus is a fantastic professor you will see it her that she knows the content matter very well. It was a pleasure being in her class.

lots of quizzes and homework, but it is all well paced. she is amazing at being accommodating when there are emergencies. TONS of reading. If you follow to syllabus you will be fine.

Ms. Nicodemus was such a great professor that I am taking her again for another class. She knows the material very well and relates textbook information to real world examples so that you truly understand. Her grading is very fair and done in a timely manner considering the amount of students she has. I took a hybrid with her and loved it. 10/10 r

I loved this class, it was a hyrid but it was a lot of work. I wished we had been given more lecture as a hybrid but still she was an amazing teacher, SOOOO helpful. She even reviewed my reference page for a different class. She was so great!!!

I took this class online because of COVID. It was a really interesting course for me. Overall I enjoyed all the assignments. Some of them took a good amount of time but were fairly easy. For this particular semester with the given circumstances, I did not find lectures as helpful for me. However, it depends on your own personal motivation.

A really great teacher! I enjoyed taking 101 with her so much that I took 200 with her as well!

I loved this class. Dr. Nic was great online and gave clear rubrics and video announcements explaining the assignments. She also gave 3 "no questions asked" coupons, so you can submit homework a day late. If you don't use them you get 10 extra credit points! She also replies immediately to emails and seems really genuine. I highly recommend her!

She is one of the most sweet and down to earth teacher I have had! Very understanding and genuinely cares about her students passing! Assignments are a bit hard but she will guide you if help is needed and also class is easy if you pay attention! Took her Online class and was 10/10 for me!!! Would deff take her again!!

Professor is very tough and expects a lot out of you. But if you work hard and make effort you will pass. She is very interesting and makes class engaging. I enjoyed it despite not being interested in psychology at all.

I had Dr. Nic in the fall of the height of COVID. She is an amazing professor that makes classes interesting but also shares a lot in one class's worth. If you take notes and pay attention, you will be good. I had her classes over Zoom so it may be different than in person, nonetheless, lifespan development was a fun class thanks to Dr. Nic!

Professor Dr. Nic is one of my favorite professors of all time! I've had her course multiple times throughout Covid and doesn't even matter, because she's amazing. Never used this site before either but wanted to leave her a good review; basically she's modern, and extremely intelligent.

cont: She puts a lot of emphasis on reaching out to, helping out, and making students lives easier with hard work as a professor. Her class is openly fun and engaging, students make friends because she's there friend, and it becomes easy to socialize in that environment. Thank you Dr. Nic and keep being awesome!

Prof. Nicodemus was great. Her class was super easy and the quizzes were easy and all the assignments took no time at all to complete. She graded fairly, but very nice grader. She answers questions quickly, and is very helpful. Would recommend again.

My experience with Professor Nicodemus was great! She's nice and friendly. Her lectures were very interactive, we often did group work and kahoots to review course material. The assignments weren't too hard. Just beware her assignments lock exactly on the due date so you can not turn in any late work.

Nice and friendly, I always enjoy attending her classes. She doesn't give a lot of homework but when she does, they are a little tough but the rubric has all the grading information. I would definitely take a class with her again.

I took her class online and overall it was fine. The work load is pretty average, with there being a test, a homework assignment that you can do redo before she grades it, and one discussion board or written assignment. The worst thing about this class is that she says she can't help you when it comes to looking at your work before submission.

She's great, the only thing is no late assignments are accepted and you do have to read the textbook to know what is going on in class.

Dr. Nic was awesome! I had her hybrid class so we would only met in person once a week. I appreciated her class and her feedback, I would take her class again!

Dr. Nicodemus is a funny and kind professor. Reading the textbook is a must for succeeding in this class. There are three major tests and one analysis paper that are crucial to your grade. There are also quizzes every two chapters. I would take a class with her as long as you are willing to put in the work.

Very prepared, organized and accessible. Workload was appropriate for a 7 week accelerated class. She always gives rubrics so you know exactly what expectations are, and her grading is very fair. If you keep up with homework and use all the course materials she provides, you'll do well in her class. One of the best instructors I've had.

Awesome teacher glad I didn't judge her based on rate my professor. Always willing to help her students. Grades on time and grades fairly. Trust me she is great. Just make sure you are also putting in effort.

In her lectures she gives out majority of the information needed to study for her tests and voice-notes during then (VN=freepoints) She gives out study-guides for the tests and using only the study guides I avg 86% on my tests (study-guides were just terms/ideologies + concepts).APA format is important she deducts 1p per error.Graded on point syst.

This class rating is on PSYCH203. I've had Dr. Nic twice & she is a great teacher who isn't boring when it comes to lecture. She is a hard grader, surprise you're in college. Brush up on your APA skills. If you pay attention & ask questions, you will easily be able to pass the class & have an enjoyable time. Writing heavy class.

There's a lot of homework, there's quizzes, and you have to buy & read a textbook…but it's college so what is the problem? Lessons are interactive & relevant to the tests. She grades fairly and always makes herself available for zoom or email questions. If you don't pass this class you might need to change your study habits in general. Only 7 weeks

Dr.Nicodemus lectures are always fun and entertaining. She doesn't just stand there and yap the whole time you actually have class discussions. It makes the learning experience 10 times better. She's very funny and she makes you actually want to learn the information and retain it. If I could rate her 10/10 I would 3.5/4 rating is crazy.

she's really nice, she's very open too she gives personal glimpses into her own life as examples for us to understand the developmental psych concepts better. always answers canvas messages on time and in general is a nice, funny and understanding professor. i give her a 10/10

Took PSYCH-101 with Dr.Nic, she's great. had trouble with the lockdown browser and she allowed me to bypass it and take the quizzes in her office. was very understanding when personal life got in the way and helped me figure out a way around it. love Dr Nic, would 1000% take another class with her
