Not a good online instructor AT ALL. Very difficult rigid and unhelpful, even when the school experiences technical problems. Breaks promises at the last moment, self absorbed and more concerned making life difficult rather than helping students learn.
Took BI231 online & felt unwelcome. Asked for help and was told to just read more. Her standards for students were inconsistent. Heard she is OK in the classroom, but I don't recommend her as an online instructor unless you're ready for an uphill battle.
I had heard a lot of bad things about her, but was releived to find out they weren't all true after starting her class. She really wants you to KNOW the material. In class she is friendly and tells jokes, also easy on the eyes. :)
Great teacher... uses a lot of visuals and analogies. You work for your grade but learn a lot.
Had Cindy online for 231, 232, 233. Very difficult material, very demanding instructor, but always willing to help *when asked*. If you work hard, you will learn a lot from Cindy.
Having only taken online classes from Cynthia, I cannot speak on how she is in a classroom setting, but as an online instructor she sucks! You are in luck tho if you happen to be male, as she tends to give a little bit more of a break to you guys than us women. Fairly unapproachable and rigid lady.
Would not recommend this instructor. Definately has favorite students, and makes that preference clear to other students. Makes you feel stupid in front of other students, instead of being helpful. Do not recommend this instructor at all.
If you really want to learn this stuff and not just skim by (NURSES NEED TO KNOW IT!!!) take her class. She's great!!!!
Watch what you say to eachother she is very irrational and takes things out of context a lot.
Shes is very unapproachable! On the first day of lecture as she talked about chemistry...when no one answered her questions she said..come on you guys mt first grader knows this! Even if that is the fact..a very belittling statement to make
she was not helpful at all, and she is very rude! we felt like we could not even ask her a question because she would give us a dirty look.
Very unapproachable. She has favorites...and if you're not one of them you know it. As someone already wrote, when you ask a question she gives you a strange look that makes you feel stupid, unless you are one of her favorites. Do not recommend. Dave Canoy would be a MUCH better choice.
Extremely difficult.Skimming by won't cut it.I was unimpressed at the fact that everytime I asked a question, the answer was "I don't know".Very,VERY particular about answers on tests.I honestly did not see the difference between some of my answers and hers, yet still got points deducted.I felt as if no matter what I put down,I couldn't win.
Super hard! Great communicater but you really need to know your stuff if you plan to do good in her classes, not sure if she knows what an "A" looks like.
Very demanding but I learned so much from her class.
This professor wants to see a student succeed, but makes them work for it. She is definetly challenging, yet I found her very approachable. I very much enjoyed her class and felt that I learned the most from her than any other A&P instructor I have had.
Is very unapproachable. Expects way more than other professors in the same class. Her tests include questions re: items not studied yet, but she won't care or compensate. She's not willing to reason - her way or the highway - even if she's wrong.
I was warned not to take her class, but I'm smart and dedicated. I still got a B first term, and a C second term. She's very hard to understand and my classmates felt the same way. Lab quizzes were easy but the lecture exams were the most difficult in my life! Unless you are a genius, don't take her.
Way too rigid and critical. Yes, I did learn a lot. But I credit that only to the fact that I read the book and used the Internet to find information. She was not helpful, and I did not use her lecture slides on my homework. Will not take her classes again, even if it means missing anatomy for a semester. I got an A, but do not credit her at all.
Online Course She was difficult in explaining what she wanted and would pile a load of work on you like you didn't have other courses to think about. She was also obsessed with cheating on exams. I think is foolish on her part because most teachers have proctored exams when taking an online course or trust their students to learn for their own good
This is a tough class, especially to take online like I did. I thought Cindy was pleasant, but way to much homework and 1 to 3 test every week. This felt like a 6 credit course verses a 4. You need to study everyday and ask lots of questions to be successful in this class, plus you need to use many additional resources other than required text.
Had Cindy for all 3 sections of A & P and really enjoyed her classes. She's definitely a tough teacher but you learn a lot. Maybe not the warmest, approachable teacher out there but she knows her stuff. Used powerpoint slides, text, and MediaPhys CD (very helpful for both lec & lab tests) to study for exams and got A grades for all three sections.
I took all 3 sections of A&P with Cindy. Although these were the hardest classes I've ever taken in my life, when you think about it, the systems of the body are very complex and intriguing. If you want to get an easy A, don't take A&P with Cindy. If you want to come out feeling confident and knowledgeable about your A&P, she's your girl.
Very rude and inconsiderate teacher. Unapprociable and very hard. I supposedly "earned" my first F in college in 3 years at Chemeketa from her. Lecture is very boring and she only uses slides and power point. Do not recommended anyone take her.....
She is really hard, you must be very precise, and she can make you feel stupid
Cynthia had a great sense of humor and made the class enjoyable, it was a hard class only because of the amount of material covered in five weeks, wouldn't take a accelerated class again for A&P, but would take a class from Cynthia again!!
Very thorough class. Must be self motivated, so this class tends to weed out those unable to critically think. Nurses must be able to critically think! You must work hard in this class but it's worth it! She rocks!
Cindy has been a great instructor, she's tough only if you need someone to hold your hand & walk you through every little thing. If you follow the assignment instructions, do your work, studying for quizzes & exams you'll at worst get a B. She was very helpful when I was confused by asking me questions to help me understand the concepts on my own
Cindy is an amazing teacher! I took her 233 class coming in from another teacher. I feel like I learned more from her in the first day then I did the whole term with the other guy. At first she seemed daunting and kinda intimidating but she is the mom of 5 boys. I honestly have learned more in this class then any other I have taken. AMAZING TEACHER
Good enough. Hard. Learned a lot by being self motivated.
Teaches great thinking skills but requires tons of HW and memorization.
Thorough class. . .you'd better be a self-starter and a prolific typist, though. The virtual dissection lab CD was very thorough, and heavily used for the weekly lab assignments. Home lab kit was a bit funky. . .but fun! 3 unit exams plus 1 comprehensive final. Be prepared to work your butt off!
SHE WANTS YOU TO LEARN ALOT IN A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME
I took 231 online. There is a lot to learn in this class, which has nothing to do with the instructor. It's a hard class that requires a lot of studying. Cindy was totally fair and I really appreciated her timely responses to email, discussion questions, and graded homework.
Unless you are prepared to have this class become your full time job, i would not recomend this teacher. There would be no way you could take another class other than hers with the workload she puts on you, her expectations are way out of proportion for just a 4 credit course.
Nursing students: Cynthia's class was the hardest class I've ever taken, until I got accepted into nursing school. If you can't pass Cynthia's class then you will not cut it in nursing classes. Do the reading, and ask questions, she will _always_ be there to help you understand. You really do need to know what she teaches, so pay attention!
I have taken Cindy for Bio A&P's 231, 232, and 233. I have taken her hybrid class for all. She is hard but thorough. You do need to devote more than a normal 4 cr. class but if you are self driven you will suceed.
I took this class all online. This is a tough class and that has nothing to do with the teacher. This class is designed for people who intend to have careers in healthcare and if you can't make it through this basic A&P series, then you're probably not cut out for it. There is a lot of work in this class but there is also quite a bit to learn.
This class made me want to kill myself. She wastes class time with stories of her family. Can't answer reasonable questions on material covered. I feel she is also unqualified to teach a college level biology course seeing as she received her masters in Physical Education. Tests are unreasonable, subjective in grading. Just reads from slides.
The workload in all three A & P classes is huge, but it is necessary in order to get through the entire text and learn it. Homework is an easy 10/10 if you do the work. Exams were hardest in 233 for me, but I still pulled an A. You must devote hours and hours each week to this class to learn the material and do well on exams.
The homework is th easiest part of this class. She is unhelpful with questions, unless asked the same question twice. Won't budge a inch on a grading curve, even when all the students did poorly. Didn't really cover what would be in the exams.
Horrible instructor. Weekly assignments waste valuable study time and are lengthy. Tests are rarely over the material posted online, not to mention extremely difficult. Entire class failed the first exam and she basically said we ALL were obviously not studying hard enough. She has no desire to see anyone succeed which is apparent in her general di
Cindy's class IS HARD I've been reading other comments where others whined about it, but it's NOT the teacher- it is the material. If you want to be an excellent nurse, take her classes. Re: the comment about not being able to take her class with any others- I took 233, 234 &nutrition in the same term and got a 4.0. Put in the time and don't whine!
Cindy is HARD...but thorough. I took her for the A&P series and repeated one. She does care about her students personally. There is a lot of information to cover in her classes and it really is important stuff. I learned soo much from her, but difficult to get an A!
I took the first two classes with Cindy. I am currently in PA school, which is like a mini medical school in two years. This teacher has prepared me for PA school in many ways. She has you think outside of the box in many ways. Take advantage of her case study/clinical apps questions they will get you thinking as a clinican rather then a student.
I would not recommend taking her class. It is incredibly hard and you don't have a very good chance of getting an A. Her lectures consist of reading off her slides and talking about herself. I read everything for that week before lectures and studied incredibly hard and I'd still be lost in lecture and lab.
Not interested in working with anyone who doesn't catch on right away but is interested to work hard and learn. Takes being strict and a hard nose to a whole new level. I don't want to be coddled but this was ridiculous. She didn't reply to emails didn't answer extra questions...a waste of time and energy.
The all time worst teacher! Very rude and not helpful at all. Her labs were the worst. She didn't explain anything and didn't like to help. She liked to make herself feel really smart by looking down upon others. Will never take her again!
Not clear, poor communication, doesn't want to spend time helping people who might not catch on right away. I spent approx. 30 hours a week (incl wkends) studying strictly A&P. Homework was ridiculously long, repetition is one thing but redundancy is a waste. Not compassionate, not approachable, not humble, not good.
If you are not a genus or can't memorize 40 pages of information in a couple hours a week do not take this class. Some comments are saying mean things like you are not cut out of this if you can't pass this class and that is not true. Not everyone learns the same. I don't think memorizing is the same as learning. If you want to learn go on campus
She seems to go out of her way to make you feel inferior. She is a bully to say the least. She grades very hard. You walk a way from some tests feeling very confident to only find out later you failed. It is impossible to put in th amount of study time that is needed to pass the exams. The study time and homework takes about 40 hours a week.
Not helpful, not kind, not friendly, she knows it "all" and likes to show that you don't. Makes a super hard subject even harder. Took online but am doing great in diff online A&P now. Not willing to listen. Likes to talk about her self. Doesn't answer emails. I don't know why she is still allowed to teach here.
She is an aweful teacher! I've had other A&P teachers since her and she gives A&P a bad name. She's not interested in helping you and does not lecture in lab. She wants you to memorize everything and is really unreasonable. She likes to show you what she knows so that she can feel important. Do not take her class if you want an A.
She gets a bad rep but,if u wt to know u're stuff,C.P.C. is the one for you.She knows most are prenursing. Her assignments are long/hard & u nd to read book/use dvds or u will NOT do well.Glad took class but if been working FT,wld nt hv done well.
Took BI231 and 233 with CPC (232 with Protiva)... all online. I don't have a problem with lots of work for A&P classes, that's expected. But, I do expect fairness and respect from instructors and that's where CPC is lacking tremendously. Only met her once to get a lab kit and she was rude and condescending from the get go.
Cindy is tough, but I learned a lot. You just have to click with her testing method. I took her for all 3 terms and could have switched, but did not. Class gets smaller each term-and the class 1-on-1 time rose due to this. I got better personalized answers in 233 than in almost any other class. CCC Paramedic Student
The first week I felt overwhelmed; it's alot of work. But don't you think if your going into the healthcare field you should know your stuff? I have found her to be direct but helpful. I like the online lectures cause I can listen to them over and over or rewind. Hwrk is alot but to get it to sink in u need to read it, hear it and study it.
This is a hard class, but it should be. If you use the numerous resorces provided, and put forth the effort, you can easily do well. She even offered several opportunities for extra credit. I found her very helpful, if you communicate with her. I took the class online, and she was very pleasant.
Very narcissistic about her class. Too much work load for 4 credit. Questions are ambiguous and open ended. A&P needs to be difficult not ridiculous. If you would typically receive a 95% in another class be prepared to fight for 89-90% with twice the work load. Comments about whining FYI some of the best students also make the worst nurses.
This is a difficult class, be prepared to work! She gives large lecture assignments that are due the day of the lecture tests, they are super long, but a great study tool! Tests are difficult, but if you study and understand the concepts you will do well!
AWFUL.110% AWFUL. Expects 40+ hours of work outside of the class. Doesn't combine lab and lecture at all. Doesn't use book info at all, even though she tells you to read it. Makes A&P even more stressful. If want to learn and understand A&P DO NOT TAKE IT WITH HER! I felt rushed all term!! Test questions are openended and not related to the review.
She tells you exactly what she is looking for and how to get the best grade in her glass. Follow what she wants and you can get an A. Tons of time on work and Tons of studying. She is extremely fair and gives TONS of extra credit if she sees your doing the work and effort. Unforgiving if you slack off or don't put the time into the class.
Horrible if you struggle with high pace classes. Doesn't slow down. Doesn't help and isn't clear at all! Her questions she gives you to study are nothing like the exams! If you want to do well in A&P and have a good experience I do not recommend this professor.
I enjoyed taking this class with Cindy. Difficult? Yes. This class requires A LOT of studying and you must understand the concepts. Also, whoever said she's "unapproachable" must be too sensitive. All you have to do is ask. This prof is more than willing to help and wants to see you succeed and will help you if she sees that you're working HARD.
This teacher is absolutely outstanding. Do not listen to the people saying she is hard, inapproachable etc. The CLASS is difficult and requires many many hours of studying outside of class if you want an A. She is super friendly, crystal clear on expectations and her lectures are incredibly helpful! I got an 87% and worked my tail off for it!
I took her for BI 231 and 232. Her questions are directly from her lectures slides. She practically hands you the answers if you just actually take the time to understand and study what you are reading. The class is very hard but she does as much as she can to help you.
I had Cindy for the lab portion of my online BI232 class. She was very nice and helpful. She expects a lot, but wants students to suceed. It was nice that we had a small class, but during labs she would sit with each group to see how we were doing and help explain.
I just finished taking this class 100% online. The class was a bear in regards to overall content and toughness. As an instructor, Cynthia provided extremely useful tools, and ample opportunities for extra credit. She was very understanding about a family emergency I had and extended a quiz availability period. Very worthwhile experience.
During lab she was very helpful and is available to answer questions. Her study guides were really hard but once I started watching her online lecture videos all the answers were in it. I took this online but I came to campus for lectures. I highly recommend this method for students who need the flexibility but would never recommend ALL online.
Cindy is very fast faced in lecture. Don't expect to get all of the information unless you have previously downloaded the presentation. In lab you need the lab presentations to absorb all the information as well. Very helpful if you ask questions. Exams are extremely complex, some questions are more in depth on test than whats covered in class.
Well, thanks to this professor, I have never got a C. EVERY other instructor was full and now I see why. She gets a power trip when she hands out tests. If you need a B...DON'T TAKE HER. I would've rather taken it online with anyone but her. RUN FROM HER CLASS UNLESS YOU HAVE TONS OF HOURS TO COMMIT. Good luck.
This class was hard, but if you applied your self and took the time to study it is a class you can get an A in. Cindy was very helpful when I needed her help and was available far more than other instructors I have had. Thi class is a gateway class to nursing so it is hard to make sure you are ready to move on into nursing.
She is incredibly difficult. There were questions on the exams that she said were not going to be on there and she did not grade fairly. She only repeats word for word what is in the book. She does give extra credit opportunities but I am struggling just to get a 'B' in this class when I excelled in Bean's class. Take Professor Bean!!!
she is a very hard instructor. she would give us a study guide, but the questions on the test would have nothing to do with what was on the study guide. However, to her credit, she was always in her office on time and she is willing to help(but only if she liked you)
If you want to have a good term in BI232 DO NOT take it with her. NEVER EVER EVER. She assigns assignments that take you a good 6 hours to finish and you only get 10 points. She then says those are your study guide for the exams, like its a gift. You're better off selling your soul to Satan than using those to study. Gives exceptions to guys though
Cindy is a hard grader & expects your best. This is hard & lots of material; A&P, duh! She's also a great instructor who knows her stuff & she truly cares. I hear the whiners talking about her favorites, not true! Just work hard, ask ?'s if you don't get it. We're in college guys! I worked HARD, only got a C,& not complaining.
A P is intended to weed out the inept Weekly lecture assignments are long but over prepare for exams. I detest studying this way and skipped a few weeks. My test avg compensated Lec 93Lab 100. Labs scaffold well across systems focusing on anatomy one week and phys the next. Weekly assignments thorough lecture 8 hrs Labs 3-6.
This was by far the hardest class I've ever taken in my entire life, and I'm a straight A student. Cindy is nice, but she expects you to memorize literally everything. Lab quizzes every week are killer, and her exams are tough as well (no study guides given). Seriously makes you work... Better have a lot of spare time to study for this class!
I took Cindy for 231232 (hybrid with her and Joe). She was terrible both terms. I think the people saying if you can't handle her class you won't make it in nursing are ridiculous. I learned an extreme amount from Joe Bean, and enjoyed it! She reads off a PowerPoint, anyone could do that, especially since she doesn't answer any extra questions.
A lot of reading and a lot of assignments, but it is a lot of information to take in. Overall she is a good instructor. This class was taken online so I understand why so much work.
WORST TEACHER EVER. I would never take a class from her every again. I would highly recommend that you take it from someone else if you need this class. She was horrible at getting back to me when I needed help, she had no interest in your struggles and her grading is pretty much based on if your perfect or not. A good 5-8 hours week worth of HW.
Class completely online, she had audio powerpoint lecture presentations. Her grading of assignments was based off of effort rather than accuracy, In other words if you do the assignment for real then you get full points. extra credit opportunity. She is willing to help you succeed and help you know what to study for the exam.
Ok, I'm a student that does everything right. Study hard, always goes to class, takes detailed notes. A good portion of the stuff on the online exams was never covered. I feel like the days of homework was a huge waste of time when comparing that to the exams. Instructor was competent, but wasn't prepared for the online exams.
There was opportunity to earn points through extensive weekly homework, lab assignments, and lecture work. The lab quizzes and lecture tests were VERY hard. The questions were very specific, especially in the lab quizzes and knowledge of the little things was just as important as knowing the big things. Be prepared to read and study A LOT.
This was by far the most difficult class I have ever taken. The professor seems to make easy things intentionally difficult. Way too much work for a 4 credit class and she doesn't seem to care if your struggling. Considering the few people that made it to the end of the term and still could not even get a C, it's amazing she is still employed.
Overall the course is pretty difficult but not impossible. Help is there if you need it. Offers extra credit opportunities which helps. A lot of the comments below hold some merit but if you do the work and ask for help you will do just fine. I would recommend this course.
AMAZING teacher and very clear with what she wants the students to know for exams. I highly recommend taking Cindy and am extremely glad I was able to. Although she expects a lot from her students, she is always willing to help you and wants the best for you. She is very organized and clear with what is to be done and gives study guides for exams.
Hardest class I've ever taken. Her tests and quizzes are hard. She marks you down unless your answer is word for word what she's looking for. Expects you to be able to memorize everything and be able to answer in perfect detail. A couple hours of online homework a week + a couple of hours of lab reports + studying for weekly quizes. Don't recommend
The tests are extremely hard. It seemed like no matter what info I studied I still had a hard time on the tests. The homework wasn't that hard, but there was a lot of it. Plus you had to study for the tests and finish lab questions and then study for the la quizzes. overall very nice person.
I took this class online, and it was a lot of work. She does make everything easy to access on blackboard. Each week there are three assignments to be done, which is pretty effective and helpful. She does make her tests and quizzes quite difficult.. Huge amounts of studying needed, if you work & attend school full time, I do not suggest her course.
Cindy is an awesome teacher. The sequence of classes is tough no matter who you take it with but if you're willing to work then it's not impossible. She will make you work hard, but is always willing to help you and clarify things and work around tough situations in your life. If you're considering taking these classes she's the prof to choose!
Cindy is a great professor. She cares about her students, but she makes you earn your grade. There are opportunities for some extra credit built into quizzes and tests. I had a BA in biology before taking this course so I had a great background, but the class still took lots of time and effort, especially because I took the hybrid version.
By far, she is a really great instructor and gives lots of chances for extra credit. She is however a hard grader and expects you to know what she has taught. To much reading, long amounts of homework for little scores. Favoritism yes and no., no matter how hard I studied I felt that I still knew nothing. Be ready to study as much as possible....
Cindy is great; clear about what her expectations are up front. Tests are hard, but nothing was unexpected. If you stay on top of the material, you'll do well. If you don't, you won't do well. Simple as that. Make sure you do all of the assignments- even the little ones matter in the end.
LOTS of material, LOTS of reading, LOTS of homework that require too much effort for 2-4 measly points. Hmwk Q&A very informative, although idc for the short answer questions on the midterms. She expects you to know EVERYTHING that she teaches you which I feel is a little unreasonable to do after each wk's lec/lab. There's too much happening.
This has been the hardest class I have ever took. Lots of self teaching and homework but I learned sooooo much. I am happy that I passed it with a B, she does not give study guides for the exams so just make your own and stay on top of the class. Overall it was a great class and very difficult but its possible to pass it!
Cindy's goal is to prepare you for a career in the healthcare field. Her class is hard, and there is a lot of work required, but she is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the material. There are assignments that require a lot of work for only a few points, but these are necessary for doing well on the tests, so it pays off.
Tips: 1)Prepare for essays 2)Know PP slides 3)Begin StudyGuides early 4)Go to OpenLab to prep for lab quizzes 5)LS h.w. takes time, but points add up 6)Write notes10pts. e.c. 7)She always helped via email & after class, if asked! 8)ExtraCredit on tests/quizzes 9)DoNot get behind 10)Find a study partner/s. Very difficult, but an A is achievable.
Anatomy is not a easy subject, no matter who you take it with. She's very nice, and is absolutely willing to help if you email her, or come into her office during her open hours. Offers decent amount of EC compared to most A&P instructors. With that being said, she is a tough teacher, and expects you to KNOW the material. You EARN your grade, study
Cindy provides great lectures & a clear layout. Study guides are key! Emailed her a lot & visited office hours. She was always helpful, even on wkends! Layout/Pts: Final(130), 2Midterms(100), 3LabQs(160total), Lab(8/wk), LS(6/wk), Disc(4/wk). E.C. on exams. Took an extreme amount of time & effort. Ask for poss essays. A is achievable. MUST STUDY!
Most of her test are fill in the blanks, very little extra credit given. Expects you to know everything over 5-6 chapters for midterm of 150 questions most being fill in blanks. She is very snarky on her replies on the discussion boards. Study guides have nothing to do with questions on the test. no chances to improve grade.
Does very little to guide you in the correct direction for exams. Not helpful.
She's very clear on what she wants from you. You can't slack in her class. If you are there and actually trying your best and studying you'll pass just fine. She's very very nice.
Cindy is the best prof I've ever had. She is incredibly tough, but you will not find a better A&P instructor or be better prepared for nursing school than with her. If you want to take her class, be ready to dedicate about 10 hours a week to her class. She gives clear instructions on what she wants on exams. It's lots of studying but worth it!
I took Cindy for Bi232 and Bi233. She is nearly impossible. Her study guides are so long and don't really help at all. She is extremely intelligent but is not good at explaining things to students. She expects you to come into class already knowing the material. She is an amazing person, but not the greatest teacher.
If you are looking for an easy instructor, chose someone else. Study guides are very similar to exam questions. Cindy is very willing to help her students succeed if they put in the effort. EDIT I just started the nursing program and am PRAISING the education I got from Cindy daily. What she taught stuck with me and the study skills are invaluable
She give ways too many homework with discussion postings, exercise labs in the manual, short essay and quiz hw, case studies and 30-40 questions on the study guide per chapter. Also final is cummulative. I dont recommen that class to anyone, way to many things to do. I know A & P is hard but she makes it ever harder
Cindy answers questions so condescendingly, in a way that makes you feel stupid for asking, which makes it difficult to learn a difficult subject like anatomy. Further, despite having 30-40 questions per study guide, you never really know what will be on the exams, which makes failing easy to do.
Cindy is absolutely my favorite Professor. She can explain even the most complicated biological processes in a way that makes sense. She is there to make sure that you learn - and you will. Her class is not for anyone who is hoping for an easy A, but she works really hard to make sure her students have every opportunity to succeed.
Terrible. If you asked a question she would just look at you like you were stupid and was very rude and judgmental. I was confused but too afraid to ask questions due to her attitude. She made the class way harder than it needed to be. I get bio is hard but she made it wayyy difficult. dont take A&P with her.. not worth it and you wont learn!
Cindy is amazing, but she doesn't allow you to just roll into class with no idea what's going on. She assigns material, and she expects you to know it. She makes this expectation clear immediately. Study everything forwards, backwards, and sideways and you'll do great!
This teacher is incredibly rude. When you ask her questions she is demining and condescending with her replies. I have been attending Chemeketa for two years and she has been the worse teacher I have come across.
Initially I thought Cynthia was nice. She is now snarky when Ive asked questions about a lab direction that didnt make sense. The tests are hard. Very hard in my opinion. Theyre all fill in the blank/short answer. A&P already isnt easy so taking these tests makes it harder. The study questions of hers didnt help me at all of tests.
A&P has been difficult for me but this professor provided useful resources, like weekly study ?s that actually pertain to the exams. She responds in a timely manner to emails and you can request office hours to get 1:1 time if necessary. I always look forward to the weekly zoom meeting because we study as a class before taking a quiz or exam.
At first I thought this term was going great, it was until testing came around that really hurt my grades. Her tests are very hard mostly fill in the blank and some short answers. There is absolutely no notes or anything allowed on her tests which would be fine if there was not so much covered on her tests. I should have dropped when I could have.
