Dr. Galvan is a pretty laid back teach straight to the point, uses a lot of powerpoints slides. Does a great review for her lab and lecture exams. Her lecture exams are multiple choice, and true false. Very helpful when it comes to something you do not know.

Absolutely the best teacher anyone can have. Wants to see students be successful. Great teacher and fun person. Miss a day of class and you miss a lot of information.

I highly suggest you take biology 2404 Introduction to Anatomy and physiology before taking AP1. So far AP1 the class is fairly good she uses a lot of PowerPoint slides, that carries the same information from the book, as well as a lot of the same charts and figures in the book. I say she is one of the better AP1 teachers at Cy-Fair the same info

Dr. Galvan is a great teacher! She is very helpful and wants to see everyone do well. She gives great reviews for her A&P classes and also offers extra credit. A&P is a lot of work, but if you attend and pay attention you shouldn't have a problem with it.

I am currently in her intro to A&P. She is extremely nice, good at clarifying when you don't understand something. Very helpful A&P is a lot of work, you have to understand & study. But if you do and with her help,you shouldn't have no problem passing this class. :)

My family said that A&P was going to be too hard for me and I'd hate it. Professor G has made it SO great. This isn't a bird course, you have to work. Great teacher, she teaches you everything you will need to know for the test. If you don't study, then you will not pass tests. Quizzes are 20%, homework is 10%, a few projects, only 5%.

Dr. Galvan is hands-down the best professor I have ever taken a class with. Be prepared to do work and make tons of flashcards over the material, but if you do that than it's an easy A. Super interesting class, and Dr. Galvan made it easier by going over each exam question the class after each test to make sure we knew why we missed what we missed.

First time taking an online class and I am so glad it was with her! She sends out reminder emails when tests are coming up and she also replies to emails fast! Tests are not easy but also are not difficult. Must read both power points and textbook to pass quizzes and tests.

This was my second time taking A&P1 and couldn't be more happy it was with Dr. Galvan. Her powerpoints are clear, this isn't an easy class but just study them front & back and you'll be golden. This was a hybrid class so it was a bit challenging but the good thing she was always an email away! Wants her students to pass, TAKE HER!!!

If emailed for help, she is very nice and replies fast. There are 15 quizzes 30 questions each and timed on Lockdown browser. 16 homework assignments on mastering lab, 4 exams 70 questions each and a diet project. It sounds like a lot, but it honestly helps keep your grade up. Make sure you do good on tests because thats 50% of your grade.

Dr. Galvan is a wonderful teacher! I made an A, but definitely had to work for it. The course is not easy, but if you attend class, study the material she goes over, and you care about your grade enough to study, you will make an A. Loved this class!

I Loved Professor Galvan so much in 2401 that I jumped at the opportunity to do 2402 in a summer cram session. I did both as a hybrid. Some didactic is tough to swallow reading it on your own, but in the labs, she has an amazing way of getting the points across. I made my kid drop their A&P just to enroll in Dr. Galvans class, she's that good!

This is a very tough class but getting started is the hardest part. Once you get your routine down, the class schedule is easy. Weekly homework assignments & tests. She opens up assignments 4 wks at a time so you can do all homework & tests at your leisure for those 4 wks. Convenience is a big factor for me & she makes this class very convenient.

She is an amazing teacher and very organized. This is a hard class but she makes it understandable. Strongly recommend her.

Solid class. Just do the assignments. Drops 2 quiz 2 HW 1 exam. Lockdown Browser for exams and quizzes and are timed. Once you answer you can't go back and change. They aren't easy. Diet Analysis project due towards the end of the semester, easy. All in all easy class. you can do all your assignments at your own pace.

I took her hybrid class, and while her lecturing is terrible, it's a good way to take A & P, especially if you're already familiar with the material. The in-person quizzes are hard, so you need to study. She utilizes the Pearson Mastering which is an extra fee. It's easy to click through though. The tests are LONG, but have adequate time limits.

I took Dr Galvan's hybrid A&P 1 course & will be taking her A&P 2! You have a month between labs to do 4 homeworks and 3-4 quizzes. After labs you get 3 days to do the exams. Everything is done online but some in class quizzes. She has very helpful power points. Classes are interactive. She is funny & loves to answer questions. Book is a must have!

If you can pay attention to lectures and are able to take notes as you go, this class will be an easy A. She is a wonderful teacher to get to know, and cares about your success in her class as long as you're willing to open up to her. I would definitely take this class again for the teacher!

This is the best A&P teacher you can take. Dont expect to pass the class without doing the work. I took her for a hybrid class this past semester passed with an A. She has a good teaching method that makes the A obtainable. Utilize the tools she give and you will pass, you dont need to be a A&P whiz, you just have to WANT it. Shes pretty cool too

The exams and quizzes could be done at home but required Lockdown Browser. My strategy was to read the power points and do the homework before trying to read the chapter straight through. There were a few inconsistencies in the textbook, but overall it was put together well. There were online videos, practice quizzes, and downloadable MP3's.

Hands down the best Biologiy professor ever! Anatomy is a tough class, but Dr. Galvan will surely make it enjoyable and much easier to learn for you, definitely recommend her. Lots of memorization but very do-able!

Dr Galvan is very clear about the work and participation you will have to do in her syllabus. She has put her lectures in PowerPoint and that is what you will be tested on so study the PowerPoint lecture. Lab participation is a must. If you put effort in this class you will learn something and get a good grade. She is understanding too.

Throughout the course we had homework for each chapter, 4 tests/quizzes, and lab exams. She gives due dates ahead of time. She strongly encourages attendance, but it isn't required. She creates her own powerpoints & is very animated when doing lectures (she knows her stuff)! Galvan is very understanding and wants each student to succeed!

Love Prof Galvan! I took her for Anatomy 2 and she was so helpful and sweet. She lectures through informative powerpoints that you can print out and bring to class to take notes on. Professor is very Easy. She has a lockdown system for each quiz and exam so make sure you use some other digital thing to google answers. All answers can be found in quizlet.

This professor uses the Respondus Lockdown Browser. This browser records both audio and visual. It asks you to show you're environment. You are not allowed to get up from the computer once you start. Taking an online class is about convenience and this is not only a huge inconvenience, it is also an invasion of privacy. Would not recommend class

Show up & record the lectures and you will get an A. She is very generous at telling you what will and wont be on the tests from the PowerPoints. A whole lot less to know than my A&P 1 Professor and you actually LEARN because she actually TEACHES. You do NOT need the lab book or textbook, only the access code for homework. No paper. Take her!!!

4 lecture and lab exams - get to drop lowest lab. Access code homework due every 3 weeks or so (easy) - get to drop lowest 2. Quiz before every exam (not hard) - drop the lowest. Group project instead of paper. No books needed. Great at teaching and is a very open person. Some group work (easy). Takes a little while to get grades back.

If you miss a class, get the recorded lecture from someone. Dr. Galvan is excellent at teaching and is constantly saying you need to know this you dont need to know this this is how a question will look. Half the class gets an A on every test. Offers 5 points extra credit on each test/quiz and provides scantrons. Class fills up QUICKLY.

Took for Nutrition 1322. One of the best classes I have taken so far! She is very responsive to emails. Lots of homework and quizzes, but totally feasible. Textbook will be used and needs to be read! Nutrition project was a simple and easy. As long as you do your work and study this class should be a breeze and eye opening!

I took Dr. Galvan for Nutrition online. 4 exams plus final. Quiz and HW for each chapter. I had some technical issues with an exam and she was very nice and understanding. Her notes aren't complete so reading the book is required. I ignored her notes and took my own from the text. Exams are easy if you study the textbook. Flexible due dates.

Took her online for a nutrition class and it was vert straightforward. Each week involved doing homework and a quiz for each chapter. The instructions for everything were so clear, I never even needed to get in contact with her. There are 4 exams and a final. One easy project as well with plenty of time to complete it.

So I took her online course and it is pretty easy, their is a lot of assignments to do online. The only difficult thing is contacting her if you are an online student as she may take a couple of days to respond to you. Her lectures are incredible and she is passionate I recommend taking her, but I would of rather prefer to have her face to face.

Attendance is a grade and she teaches other classes so if you don't make it to your day you can go to another day to still get credit for the mandatory 5 classes. I took Mrs. Galvan as a hybrid class, 2401 and 2402. I was able to manage school/work and pass. She goes over things you need to remember before your lecture and lab exams so you will know exactly what you need to study for. I would of definitely took her again if she was teaching 2420.

I took her class for Spring 2021. I found A&P II more interesting than A&P I. I enjoyed her lectures and weekly Teams meetings. Those weekly meetings were helpful. I will be honest. Every video chat we had I felt like I bothered her when asking questions. I would email her about things and would not hear from her until after the exam. I met the most inspirational/dedicated professor this summer. The night before our first lecture, she had a terrible tragedy in her family. Somehow, she still showed up, delivered amazing lectures, balanced her family, held high standards with clear guidelines, and was present. She is the definition of incredible. No matter what you have going on in your life, her class will come easy for you, not because you do whatever you want, but because everything is so organized. Take Dr. Silvernail for A&P. She made learning a very difficult subject so easy. She lets you drop your worst Exam grade in both exams and lab exams. and drop the two lowest homework grades as well. Dr. Silvernails would record lectures every week. It was great for those of us who work the night shift as she quickly made the recordings available.

One of the best professors I've ever had! I took a 6-week session and it seemed like a lot to cover. However, Dr. Silvernail sent weekly updates letting us know how much we needed to complete. This is my second times taking an online class with Professor Cynthia. I love her online classes. She's very organized. She spends time for lecturing every week. She She will help you success. I will be taking BIOL2402 with her in Spring. Do homework, watch/attend her online meeting, do quiz, study her PowerPoints and you will do great in the test.

Professor Silvernail is a good teacher, however, the course itself can burn you out easily. Even though she lectures great, shows models, videos, etc, you eventually get tired of the word anatomy. The tests are easy but the in class quizzes are not, I would suggest to do homework and read the outline of the chapters before the taking the quiz.

First time taking Intro to A&P online and it was great experience with this professor. I followed the syllabus and did the home work and quizzes. She is very fair and drop lowest grade.

A really great, clear-cut professor. Everything is done online with the due dates being the last day of the class so the whole class is opened on the first day and you can work at your own pace. She does use lockdown browser for lab exams but with no camera. On the homework assignments, you get three times to do them. Everything is very clear.

Professor Silvernail is AMAZING! Having completed my first AP course, I can confidently say that she makes learning both accessible and enjoyable.The course materials are all on Connect, on quizlet if help need. Exams are no lockdown or camera, but lab exam is only lockdown. If I can understand and do good in AP. ANYONE CANNNN GOOD LUCK.

I took Intro to Anatomy and Physiology for the December, Mini-semester, online. HW, quizzes, and exams were all organized. Easy class. Only lecture exams had a lockdown browser but were not proctored.

If you see Dr. Silvernails class don't hesitate to sign up! She's truly amazing. Her course is set up perfectly, you could drop multiple assignments and skip the final if your grade was high enough. Lab exams non proctored, lecture exams were(not a big deal tho TRUST). She created kahoots that were similar to the tests!
