If you stay up on the reading and pay attention to the lectures you will do fine. She offers a couple chances to get bonus points throughout the semester. Tests are not very difficult.

Take her for Public Speaking. She is really helpful and makes you feel comfortable if you are scared of giving speeches!! Easy A with effort.

She does belittle students, but the class is very ez. She reads straight out of the book. She even goes over the midterm. Easy A.

she might scare you first by being too organized, but she is really easy. only thing to this class is practise your speech, she does not care about material as much. she also gives extra credit so dont miss those oportunity. midterm is easy and she is pretty helpful.

i loved this class. i really dreaded speaking infront of the class, but she made it comfortable. she was a very good teacher. The only homework you have is your speeches and speech preparations. No outside busy work. group stuff was fun and made you more comfortable to be w/ classmates. i'd take her again!

TAKE THE SUMMER COURSE! It was 4 weeks long and i got it over with! She also skips out a lot during the summer. She was easy and nice. She never made you feel uncomfortbale--she has "breaking the ice" excercises and games. I have a problem studdering when i speak publicly---but it never happened in her class b/c she made it fun!

Great teacher. I took her in fall 08. I made an A in the class and really if you get any less then you deserve it. It wasn't bad and it may be a little harder for the shy ones but think of it like this, everyone else in the room is scared so why join them in their fears of speaking. Do the assignments and do well and you'll make a fun A.

She gives a lot of work. You have speeches to give, and you have to do really really good to make an A. I got points taken off for some of the smallest things.

Taking her online. Doesn't teach that much. Gives you a ton of readings that help you with your speeches. Takes forever to grade stuff.

This is a challenging class. Be prepared to write and memorize long speeches. I busted out with an A and it was a lot of work. She is very unorganized, comes to class late, and cops an attitude out the blue. 8 speeches, peer evaluations, participation & notes, Midterm, final, and more. OH and don't even think about using your phone!

I had a good Experience, I sent her over 15 e-mails and she replied to all within 24hour. She's not a hard grader just don't wait to the last min. to do her work & U will be fine. I made a (B)in her class and it was much easier than my Engl. class where I work my finger to the bone & only got a (C). Do the work and communicate & you'll be fine.

Do not take her unless you are a communication major. Public speaking should be an easy A but that's not the case with her. She is so slow in grading. There is one midterm exam which is not all that easy. She even has limits to how many words you can have for replying to someone which is so stupid! Please don't take her. It's an easy A on campus!

I took her class online and had a good experience. We have discussion posts with other students that were usually biweekly and easy to do once we read the chapter. The tests are easy if you read and they are open book. I enjoyed taking her class, the material was interesting and useful for the future of any major. I would recommend her class!

I took Mrs. Stevens online and she was amazing! She was consistent with emails and helping me when I needed it. Not a lot of work. Only a couple essays and you do have to record yourself once or twice. Very easy and she is willing to help. Would definitely take her again!

I took her honor class online. Her class is very formal, everything is very organize, the only thing you have to work on is discussion post that shoul be submitted every week, there are multiple choice questions for midterm and final, and one essay film analysis (she provided examples). She is very polite and respectful, glad to be in her class!

Took her online course and it consisted of discussion posts every week which were very simple. She had a film analysis, a communication plan, and a final and midterm. The final and midterm were open book and overall her class was not a heavy workload whatsoever. Highly recommend her and I ended the course with a 99 for reference, I didnt read book

I took Pro. Steven's honors course online in Fall 2019. Super easy A! The class is pretty straightforward. Free e-textbook is provided. Weekly assignments consist of reading 1 chapter, posting 1 short discussion post, and 2 short discussion post responses. 2 communication plans (200 words each) and 1 speech analysis (Q&A) are required. Easy class!

I took SCOM1000 honors and it was fairly a good class. Don't have to buy the textbook, professor will give you a link to the pdf copy of the textbook. I didn't read the entire chapter, I only read the key points at the end. We had discussion post every week. Few analysis. Recommend taking Professor Stevens.

She's my professor for Honors Human Communication. She takes some time grading things but she always gives a 100 if it's done according to the rubric and if it is done on time. Easy A if you participate in the discussions and be on time

Need textbook for quizzes cuz the questions are directly from there and the final exam are the quizzes questions combined. She has weekly discussions that some can be pretty time-consuming and she does actually grade your answers and your replies to others so make sure you follow her rubric. Other than that it was an easy class.

It is one of the best classes I have ever taken! The workload is very durable, the discussions are very easy, and the quizzes and the final are open book. 10/10 recommend this professor

Took her Honors class, you have 4 quizzes and a final, we had discussions weekly and you must reply to two students and you have 3 individual projects which she would give you the topic, etc. the quiz and final were open book and timed, it all easy just study and do discussions and projects according to the rubric and you'll get 100.

The textbook is available online and for free so that's very helpful. This class counts for 3 credit hours & the workload is manageable. As long as you keep up with the weekly readings & post on the discussion board on time you will do great.

Prof. Stevens made my first online class a breeze. Her grading was updated efficiently, and her discussions, and assignments were posted clearly, and consistently. This class was informative and engaging, and I am glad I chose this professor.

Took this class online and it was easy. Quizzes are open book which is free online. The weekly discussions are easy as long as you follow the instructions which she gives very clearly. You also have to respond to 2 classmates on their discussion and get graded off that. The workload is manageable. She's an easy grader as well.

Argumentation: Grab the textbook and read it. 1 quiz, 1 discussion with 2 responses a week (keep track of due dates!) No midterm but a 1-2 page final paper. You will cover the entire textbook usually one chapter a week. She starts slow but picks up the pace quickly. Stay on top of your due dates and participate; clear grading criteria. TAKE HER!

Very simple course. Read textbooks of minimal and slightly interesting text with simple Discussions (w/ two responses) and ever so often a quiz. Quizzes were fairly tough. Definitely had to know your stuff on those. Last few weeks of semester, I got sick of reading and just took notes of Chapter Summaries which worked. Chill class.

It's very easy. You'll be good if you complete the weekly discussion assignments and reply to two students. There are four quizzes. Using the textbook is allowed, so getting them done won't be difficult.

I love Professor Stevens. This is my second time taking her (for a different class). Our grades literally consist of weekly discussion posts and tests on iCollege every few weeks.. and the tests are open notes. She's an amazing professor, but grades kinda harshly on our discussion posts. 10/10 recommend her! Also, the textbook is free and online.

This class was my easiest A ever. We only had to read 1-3 chapters every week with a PDF she provided (we didn't have to pay for it) and write feedback on the topic on a discussion board. She's very strict about doing assignments on time, so make sure to post on Thursday as it says, instead of putting it off to the end of the week.
