She is a very nice teacher. However she gives a reading assignment every night. This is a class for people intrested in learning. It is easy but she gives alot of work. If you are lazy you will probably not do well.

Overall I would take her again. She is very easy going, and your efforts will not go unrecognized if you put forth your best effort. She tends to mix up her classes so be sure you really understand the assignment before leaving class, and you may have to remind her the following class.

Great Professor, she is defnitely a college professor, you have to be on college level. She does give alot of work in her class, but yet its VERY beneficial to your knowledge. Lots of class discussions. You have to be on point in order to get an A. She also believe in constructive critisim. I would recommend her teaching style.

GREAT TEACHER!!! She really is awesome, I like English but she made it even better, she is helpful and very honest. She doesnt put up with peoples crap which i think is awesome but if you do your best she notices that grades accordingly. I recommend her to anyone who like to write she pushes you to be a better writer.

Dr. Williams is a great instructor. You can not go wrong by taking one of her classes. Clear syllabus (5 essays and 7 readings w/ quizzes). Lots of class time is spent working on our essays and going over them with her individually. She is also a very fair grader - if she sees you improving and putting in effort then she will give you a good grade.

Teacher is awesome, she was very helpful unlike other teachers. In addition, she makes sure you have everything correct before turning in the assignment.

I took an American Literature (since Civil War) class online from Mrs.Williams. This was my first online course, and I must say, I loved it. My final average was an A+. She leaves clear directions, and constructive feedback on assignments submitted.

The required reading was not boring. I loved the class and hope to take her again. She is willing to help if you truly want it. But she is highly dissapointed with the idea that society is so shallow and .... dumb! So be sure not to fall into that stereotype. I took Professor Williams online course and got a B the only problem is if you don?t follow her instructions to the letter she will deduct points. She gives three journal entries, two exams, and 1 final paper. Overall good Professor, just be sure to follow her instructions as best as possible.

ENGL 1301:Summer 2011 Dr. Williams is the best professor that I have encountered at HCC. She is clear with her instructions and assignments and she does not boggle you down with a bunch of busy work. She has six essays (three first and three final drafts) and lots of (easy) quizzes to help your grade. She even accepts late work. Wonderful teacher!

Dr. Williams is one of the best professors ever. I took her online literature class, and I am so glad that I did. If you work really hard ie read and write coherently its an A. Only 3 exams, 3 discussions, and about 3 or perhaps 4 quizes. Unlike my last lit prof she doesn't give you loads of work and expect you to turn in stuff every week. take her

Dr. Williams is extremely organized. The winter miniterm I took was fast paced, but she made it bearable. Just make sure to follow the instructions and do the work, and you will be fine. Tests are easy if you read the material. Grades very fairly on papers. Discussion posts are graded as if they were participation. Extra credit offered from the beginning of class. Professor is on top of things and responds very quickly. Take her if you need the course. Does not pile the work on. Very straightforward.

This was a hybrid class. Went to class once a week and submitted some work online and some in person. Her directions is all over the place and not clear but if you understand exactly what she wants you will get an A. Must go to class because it is 15% of your grade. Easy grader and extremely patient.

I left a comment on 6213. Took engl 2328 during the x-mas break for the Spring 2015 semester. I really enjoyed 2328 because the literature and the extra credit assignments were interesting. She was a great help when I needed clarification. Dr. Williams helped me improve my writing skills. I learned so much from her in both classes. I got an A.

Class was not easy, but I learned so much! I now understand the various eras of some history (after the 1500s) and appreciate them. Knowledge gained is AMAZING! 1st part of hybrid class is based on specific YouTube videos. Don't try to use alternative videos. The poem and art analyzing was the worst for me. But I passed with a well earned "A".

I TOOK THIS CLASS IN MAY 2015 (MINI-SEMESTER). PLEASE TAKE HER. VERY EASY CLASS! DON'T NEED TO BUY A BOOK. I PASSED WITH 82. I COULD ACTUALLY GET AN "A". BUT I GOT LAZY. PLEASE TAKE HER. 4 QUIZZES, 2 MAJOR EXAM AND 1 PAPER FOR ABOUT 1400 WORDS. BUT ITS SO WORTH IT. DONT GET LAZY!

This class requires a textbook but you do not have to buy one (you need to spend some time searching online though). Some of the exam questions are tricky so you have to read. Final paper is at least 1400 words long. It is a little bit hard to get an "A" but I do recommend this class. There are chances for extra credits.

Taking the class now online. Not the easiest and lots of reading. Test questions aren't the clearest. and LOTS of reading. Textbook not really necessary for online class as she attaches most of the reading materials online.

Put little effort into class - only skimmed through required readings. Didn't buy book. 90% of reading are online - so search. I told myself I just needed a C in this class, but I ended up with an A. 4 quizzes - lowest one dropped, 2 tests, and one paper. Easy credit. Should get B minimum. Oh, and I'm poor @ reading comp. and still did well. :)

hope you are ready to read and write and learn more than expected. she is a easy grader but she will make you work for your grade. i really enjoyed her class but i was always stress and tense. it was all worth it!

She really know her stuff but her class is hard but if you are the kind of person that stays on top of things and get your work done then you should be fine. The first day of class I thought she was mean but honestly by the end of the semester I loved her and she is so willing to help you if you ask her it.

Professor Williams is a great teacher. She's encouraging and very professional at all times. The Assignments are easy to follow. You must watch the TED Talk videos and read the Articles in order to write a good paper. If you don't you won't understand the lesson. I would take this Professor again if I needed a credit in Creative Writing.

I thought this class was pretty interesting. I learned a lot about writing. But their was tons of other stuff about educations and other things in the class that was really interesting and useful. I would take her again if I could!

This teacher's course is very easy if you follow their project and hand it ontime. The tests is easy.

This class is an easy A. However there is an insane amount of information to read through. The main reason it was not overwhelming for me was because i took it as a full semester as opposed to mini or second start session. She isn't really that tough a grader just do the writing assignments (between 300-800 words) and you will be fine.

Dr. Williams was very helpful she expected a lot of you but she had no problem helping you get your papers to where they needed to be. NO final exam all papers eventually lead up to the last one.

Never really liked literature, but she made it very interesting. Essay requirements were clear, extra credit discussion, and a second attempt is allowed to make corrections to your essay before due date to get better grades.

I took her during the summer and I really enjoyed her class. It was a lot of reading and actually taking time to read the stories but I really enjoyed it and she gives you videos to watch as well. The class is a piece of cake if you take the time to read and actually put effort into your work. I managed to make it work take her class you'll enjoy!

Took her for 5 week summer class, SUPER EASY. She always gave everyone in my class 100's on the extra credit discussions, so DO THEM. The exam is easy if you follow her study guide. and the Final Exam is SUPER easy. the quizzes aren't bad, most answers could be found online. The research/final paper isn't too bad either.

Cynthia is great. Her class requires quite a bit of reading but most of the answers can be found online if this is an online class. She wants you to be well versed in MLA so be sure to follow that lesson carefully. Overall not too hard, but be prepared to read and write regularly. She also gives out extra credit!

I am currently taking her summer 5 weeks class online and I love her teaching style. You get to watch interesting TED Talks and then write about it. She slowly increases how advance the writing is so it makes it easy for you to do good. Besides that she is super kind and gives the best feedback on essay outlines and makes sure to also show praise.

Dr. Cynthia is super supportive and caring. You will become a careful and stronger writer. I highly recommend her. I am big on having a professor who cares over if I am given a lot of assignments. I took Professor Williams for ENGL 1301 online in the spring 2021. She was by far the most nice and understanding professor Ive ever had. We had like three major essays, a few quizzes and like one group project. All are very easy and simple just make sure you do your work and you will get an A. Take her you wont regret it!!

I had Dr. Williams for my summer English 1301 five week course, and I recommend her to everyone! Quizzes take almost half of the class grade, but theyre super easy since theyre linked to the videos she assigns. The essays aren't boring and she gives amazing feed back for those that need it. This class is a very easy A. As long as you do your work, you will pass. 3 papers in total. There are usually material beforehand to introduce the topic, graded outlines to prepare for your final paper, assigned peer feedback and professor feedback, and then the final paper. The topics are very fun and interesting!

She is a great professor! When I had technical difficulties and couldn't turn my work in on time she was flexible about it. You mostly focus on 2 pieces of literature the whole semester and have multiple quizzes and major papers. Get ready to write but overall it was easy breezy. Great class!

Took the Full Spring semester class. Super easy and manageable. 3 discussion posts (600 words), 4 quizzes (two are MLA formatting and syllabus), 2 tests (majority of the questions from quizzes), and one final (graded super easily). Take this class if you want a relaxed semester with an easy A.

Doctor Williams is an excellent professor and is very understanding and caring towards students. The only thing I disliked was that she was annoyed at students for not bringing paper/utensils and laptops on the first day. Most students bring one or the other until the professor lets it known which they prefer, Dr. Williams wants both.

She's an excentic person but she'll tell you exactly what she wants. She's willing to work with you if it's not up to standard. Bad at computers so you won't know your final grade until the end but again, just do the work how she wants it. She'll help you become a better writer, she wants you to reflect on what you write.
