He is a very fair teacher,interested in seeing his students learn rather than simply making a grade. Gives a lot of bonus points. He also gives out sample questions, if you are lazy(like me) and just looking for a passing grade, study those sample question and you will do fine… most of the questions are exactly the same as sample questions…
This teacher is concerned for your knowledge of A&P. Just read the chapters ahead of time, especially the handouts. They will help you out on the bonuses, he is unpredictable, but for the most part I agree with the person below. He has an accent, but knows what he is talking about.
Please don't take this class if your a female he is a a nasty old man.He talks down to women and he treat them like crap .He brags about what he has and how he doesn't have to work at HCC because he is a Doctor he just teaches because he has spare time.He does not care about students. I had to drop his class i was uncomfortable.
He is very easy teacher. He gave out quiz which is bonus point. Don't do much lab in class but need to complete lab manual. Exam question come from his lecture note and most of the question are similar from review sheet. He give a big curve so don't worry about grade.
Dr. Dike is a very smart man, he teaches very well and makes sure you understand the lecture. he gives quizes and the points you get on the quiz are added to your test. you will have a research paper but it is optional!!! you dont have to do it if you dont want to but the catch is if you do it replaces your lowest test!!good sense of humor!!

If you study the review sheets, lecture notes and read the chapter at least once you'll do OK.
hes so easy!! so nice to pregnant women! you dont have to pick up microscopes! hes very easy!!! has a slight accent and repeats himself to be funny! hes really sweet the review is the exact same questions as the test he curves like BIG time!!if your nice to him hel be nice to you! be patient with him he can be hard to understand sometimes. so nice
His grading system sucks, he has no time to check your tests and has other students grade them. He is not clear, he does not curve what so ever!
he can be a jerk sometimes. he will not round off final grades even though he said he will. if you want to learn take someone else. he'll keep you in class for the entire time. does not have a nice personality.
you cant understand what he is saying and always seems stressed about something. keeps you in class the whole time and is rude when you miss a couple of classes. take some else,,,he sucks.

Memorize all handouts, and any pop tests. The same information shows up on exams. He is proud that none of his students have made an A on his exams without his help. He always states the class is behind. For our 3rd and final exam, no material was covered. He has too many other interests other than helping his students. He does curve, he has too.
This professor is not easy by no stretch of the imagination. The handouts ARE part of the test study them well. Also study your bones like a mad man because when they come up you have no time to study them and memorize them.I made a B but it was a stressfull one.Nice guy but be aware your are going to work for your grade. He is not easy!!!
This teacher has the worst accent I have ever heard from all the teachers I have known. Most of his lecture is from notes he writes on the board, which you cannot understand his handwriting, and oral lecture. We rarely use the book. I had to drop this class because it was no use for me at all. A waste of time!!!

Do not take this class. I took him for A&p 1 and i got an A but learned nothing at all. he grades on a curve because he knows noone will pass his class. He doesn't follow his syllabus. We were always behind and you can't understand him. His test make no sense. Do not take him.

Dr. Dike is not the best english speaking teacher but he is very nice, he gives you plenty of easy assignments to pass including take home test. He is a very easy Biology teacher but you really dont learn anything if your taking this class just to have a biology then hes the right teacher for you! Overall he does try to help if you ask!!!

this is by far the worst teacher. what he teaches has nothing to do with the test he gives. why even teach a class when no one is going to pass the test. he picks the test question from a test bank which has nothing to do with lecture. he needs to stick to being a doctor. strong accent will not undersand
Don't take, He just reads off the power point slides and his tests are unbelieveably hard!
Very good teacher who wants all of his students to be successful. Goes above and beyond for you to pass and gives lots of extra credit (trust me you will need it). Take this one, you won't be sorry!!!!!

I think he is a great professor. The test are different from what he lectures over, but the answer can be found in the book. He is really funny and nice.
Beware of this teacher, I took him for A&P I and made an A but only becuz the whole class was failing so he gave everyone a curve. he's very unorganized, doesn't follow the syllabus, and teaches off powerpoint. He grades off a point system 4exams 2labs and a paper. I would not reccomend this class to Nursing students. Study the book and handouts
HE DOES NOT HAVE THE PATIENCE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS. SO MAKE SURE YOU USE YOUR BOOK. HE IS WRONG A LOT OF THE TIMES. Heavy Nigerian accent with poor teaching skills. Somewhat creepy around young girls. He is not listed on the schedule for registration so you are forced to take his class. His exams are pieced together and have nothing to do with material from the book or the lecture. Your average grade will drop after taking his class.
Dr. Dike has a very heavy Nigerian accent, lectures from powerpoint and flirts with young girls in his class. His exams are long, pieced together, and does not cover material from lecture or textbook. If you want to lower your GPA, take him.

First off, A&P is not an easy subject. Students expect to make good grades without earning it. Many people here need to stop being wimps, always want the easy way. Dr. Dike is very helpful and gives extra credit to those who need it. He does have an accent but people here make it seem like if he speaks martian. Dr. Dike is a good professor.
He Is Very Rude. Reads From the Powerpoint. I Haven't learned ONE Thing yet. He never cancel Class Not Even On a Cold, Rainy Day. This Class Will bring you GPA down. He Catches Attitudes when Asked a question . Dr. Dike doesn't even REVIEW WITH CLASS. He will put the review on blackboard with No Answers .Last , He Calls People the wrong name.
Dr. Dike was assigned to my class after my standing professor took ill everyone was terrified. Despite the ratings on rate my professor I decided to give Dr. Dike a shot ,and boy am I glad I did. He really cares about his students , he is never late and always keeps his word. I really enjoyed his class Micro is hard , but Dike is awsome !
Professor Dike's teaching method is questionable. His accent makes lectures an issue and he won't allow laptops and discourage google searching. Finally his tests are sometimes incorrect and many of them are not in the book or power-point presentation. A combination of all of those makes its very hard to learn or go through the course well.
Professor Dike was a good teacher. His grading criteria is very clear, come to class and take notes from what is on the board. The most difficult thing was understanding his accent, but he does mention prior before classes thoroughly begin that it may hold you back, but feel free to ask him to repeat himself.
Great instructor, he really make sure you understand what's being taught.
This professor was using a different textbook from the one recommended by the school, read off the powerpoint the whole lecture, no explanation, half of the class dropped the course by the middle of the semester.
He has an accent, but he knows that, and is willing to do what it takes for you to understand him. He cares and he is willing to help, which says a lot. Read the book and powerpoints before class and you'll do fine.
Genuinely cares for students, gives lots of extra credit, however you WILL rely HEAVILY on PPTs, textbook, & online help to FULLY understand the subject. Uses PPTs, briefly summarizes what is on them. Has an accent but does try to speak as clearly as possible. Labs are easy, follow online work w/studying and you will do fine. STUDY A LOT!!!

Gives extra credit which is good, basically have to learn on your own. If you have lab for a different professor that'll probably help out. Wish he'll actually go over materials and teach

Study a LOT. Lectures from class arent enough. Caring, but disorganized, which WILL affect grades if not on top of your stuff (especially in lab). He has an accent but it's not so bad. Take all of the extra credit he gives, they may save your grades!! Go to class, its extra points in the end too. Best of luck!

I took him for Summer I at Coleman campus. He's a good teacher, cares about his student. The class is quite difficult because there's so much information to learn in a short period of time. He helps as much as he can though.
Take his class study and show up to every class do the homework and you will do well.

Dr. Dike is one of those professors that KNOWS what he's talking about and is very passionate about teaching it. He does have an accent, but he acknowledges it and encourages his students to ask lots of questions if you don't understand. He tags funny stories to his lectures to make it memorable.
I've taken him for all required sciences. You will learn and he will teach.

I LOVED PROFESSOR DIKE TOOK HIM FOR ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY LECTURE AND HE WAS GREAT, EVEN THOUGH HIS ACCENT IS HEAVY HE IS FUNNY, SUPER EASY HE GIVES TAKE HOME EXAMS, HE GIVES HOMEWORK BUT IS OPTIONAL ONLY FOR EXTRA CREDIT AND QUIZZES AS WELL . YOU DO HAVE TO READ BECAUSE IT IS A SCIENCE CLASS BUT HE IS A GEM. I REGRET NOT TAKING HIM FOR LAB TOO
I'm not sure that I really learned much from this class other than it was like extra study time for the lecture portion of AP2. This professor is really funny, but we didn't dissect anything and our tests other than the last, were all on paper and not on 3D structures. The test study guide had absolutely nothing to do with the test.

he gives four exam plus district final. Two exams you can take home, gives a lot of extra credit. Don't miss class if you want to be exempt from his final. gives reviews for his exam.
He gives us hangouts and must be read, some questions will come out in his test.
Great professor
Attendance is mandatory as he will drop you if you miss more than three classes. He is also more willing to help you with your final grade if you have attended class regularly. His grading is based all upon Lecture Exams, Final Exam and one essay which counts just as much as a lecture exam. He does give homework for extra credit.
very caring and helpful Professor. DR. Dike gives extra credit work especially to redeem yourself if you have been getting bad grades. AnP 1 is hard but he tries to cover as much as he can. Most of the work, he expects you to cover on your own as it is a long class. Otherwise, he is funny in class and an awesome teacher.

BEST LAB PROFESSOR EVER. He does try to scare his students the first week but believe me this class is an easy A. He provides a ton of extra credit opportunities and he actually tries his best to enhance the lab aspect of the class. He is a little unpredictable but grading wise he is very generous and kind. I wish he was my instructor for ap lab 2
He is a good teacher. Attend class. Study his reviews... and you will pass. Extra credit is super important and will help you pass. Passed A+P II with an A.
Dr. Dike is probably the funniest professor I've ever had. A&P is by default an extremely hard course but he made it enjoyable and truly helped the students that were trying to succeed. If you show up to every class on time, put in a little effort, and do his extra credit HW there're no reason you should get anything lower than a B.
One of the best teachers ever. He really prepares you with all the information anatomy comes with. If your a nursing major then you'll definitely want him. He really touches on every topic and really helps you. He gives homework that are bonus points on the test. overall he's a really funny guy and wants to help you pass.
Keeps joking & attempting to make physical contact with young female students. Has clearly had complaints in the past as he jokes about harassment. Ridiculously disorganized, forgetful of key concepts, and inconsistent in grading. I'm an A student & I dropped this class as I didn't want to get an F simply because I asked him questions he disliked.
If you can not learn from heavy accents like me, AVOID THIS CLASS. I barely understood his lectures. He contradicts himself a lot when it comes to instruction on assignments. He's super unorganized but it is possible to pass his class. He will curve test if majority fails. He also gives out homework for extra points. READ THE TEXTBOOK

Absolutely the worst professor I've had in my academic career(UH, SHSU, HCC).unorganized, horrible in lecture (topics jump around and don't correlate as you learn), & I'm actually writing this while preparing for exam 1 where he only taught 2 out of the 4 chapters in the exam. grades fluctuate and do not reflect actual score. take diff professor!

Prof Dike , is a very good teacher. At the beginning he will try to scare you but its his way of making you study your books.
His class is very hard. Be prepared to read. He gets off topic a lot, contradicts himself sometimes, puts people on the spot in front of the whole class, if you have a long name and prefer a nickname he WONT call you by your nickname he will say your whole name and he will randomly say it even if hes not even trying to get your attention(weird)
BEWARE Absolutely the worst professor I've had. he is very unorganized, during lecture literally goes off topic all of the time! & I'm actually writing this while preparing for our final exam that we have yet to go over. And our textbook? We purchased it and have only used it 5 times this entire semester! Very unprofessional AVOID at ALL costs!!
He is a terrible teacher. There were many times that he needed to change my grades because of mistakes with his tests but never changed them. He also does not actually teach anything he just reads slides and expects us to understand them. Je also only gives tests. He doesn't have office hours so if you have questions you have to ask during class.
Professor Dike is a great professor! Although I couldnt understand anything he was saying because of his accent, he is very passionate of what he teaches and most definitely wants to help you succeed in his course. He explains what you might not understand using objects which was always helpful! I took his class online which made it difficult.
