COOL GUY
he is the best professor
Sometimes, he is as not good as you think...... Be award!!
very nice guy! Financial accounting II is not easy, but he makes it interesting. only one midterm and one final. good professor, higly recommended!
His class is fun and interesting. The final is harder than the mid-term. Study hard his examples and class works.
His final is a little tougher, but you will learn. Just follow his examples and the homework. Do your homework!!!!! He collects them. Overall very good professor.
class is interesting
the man is tough..he is kinda funny, but exams are very tough...i chose lilien over prof. martin anytime..
His class is not as good as you think, he is a nice peroson, make jokes in the class. But his Exam can drive you crazy, just much harder then u expected.
He is very cool guy. The most important think to do in his class is go every lecture, keep doing his IN-CLASS problems until you can do it with your eyes closed and lastly you have to be DETAIL-oriented, you'll see what I mean if you take his class.
He is the best!!!!
great professor..u learn a lot in his class..but watchout for his final..is a killer..Had an A average goin into the final and I got a B in the class...
he is the best acc prof in baruch. this is the only time i actually learn something from an acc prof. u should choose him. no regrets.
Most comments here are true except that now he gives 1 quiz, 1 midterm and 1 final. The quiz and midterm are okay, but the final is a little harder. Also one project (required for all ACC3000 and ACC3100 classes). A great and funny professor overall.
His final was a killer.... AVOID!!!!!!!!!
Great professor, real professional in the field. You will get EXACTLY what you deserve.
He knows his stuff, very helpful in explaining the material. Do all homeworks and class assignments and there is no reason you shouldn't receive a good grade. His final is a killer but he doesn't give you anything he hasn't taught you!!
Not as hard as everyone says...
The final is a killer... everyone average drops by one grade after the final... so try to stay away from him because he doesn't give any curve at all and you really get what you deserve
Killer final.
What the person said on 7/15/05 is true..ur grade will drop by one letter..I had an A going into the final and ended up with a B!!
He's the best out of all prof teaching Acc 3100
He's a very nice and tallented professor, he prepares you not only for tests but also for knownledge and future jobs which is good, but he's very hard and makes everybody to struggle so much in his class. His lectures are so intense that you aren't able to understand and remember everything.
he knows his staff and knows how to keep students awake. His lectures are interesting, but his exams are so confusing and he is so strict. (If you dont use the accounting paper correctly, you are risking to loose up to 3 points on your exam).
not fair
man his class is not what person thought about. the first thing is you got to follow his rule "don't think the word-right or wrong". coz I knew a lot of people got very bad grade from his class. Anyway, most of the acc professors are suck at baruch. Good Luck people!!
he doesn't really follow the txtbk. his exams are hard. he goes way too fast in the materials. he'll keep you awake but don't expect an A unless you already know the material coming into the class.
this guy sucks, plain and simple, whoever said he was good is lying to you! if you have him, let the nightmare begin!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you major in accounting He is the best. He teaches you material that you will need in the future, nothing that is not important. He is a professional. His exams are tricky. The homeworks are easy campared to his tests. But if you listen to him in the class you will be ok. As any Acc class you need to study to get good grade. Dont fool around.
Great educator, professional, and human being. Easy homeworks, but difficult exams. He will do his best to help you, but you have to do the work. The class if VERY INTERESTING, and you will definitely learn REAL LIFE applications of everything you learn. Take him only if you are ready to do the work! He is a great educator!
You have no idea how much I studied for this class and I could never get 80 in the exams.ex are very very very tricky. If you are very good test taker takehim. You learn a lot related to the real world but never ever get a good grade in his clas. IT IS IMPOSIBLE.None gets 100in the exams.Homework nathing raleted to what wedoin class.egrade isbushet
His class is very hard. You learn a lot. Exams are very tricky. You study one thing in the class and when you geta test you are so surprised to see new things on the test. He makes you work. I think he is great, he explains the material very good, but fast. I think for acc majors he is the best. I also agree with previous coments.
This class is very hard for people who study and easy for those who don’t. His exams are extremely hard and tricky plus he takes off more points if you don’t follow format rather you make a mistake, so at the end you can end up with the same grade as the students who don’t put much effort. Good luck people.
He is the best for 3100. He gives homeworks and in-class assignments that help you learn. He forces you to do it because he collects it but his exams are based on those assignments so you learn what you need to know for exam. He is very helpful in class and outside of class. Very lenient when it comes to grading, just follow his format.
THE CLASS IS NOT EASY BUT YOU LEARN A LOT WITH THIS PROF! I THINK HE IS THE BEST ACCOUNTING PROF AT BARUCH.
Great Professor, very professional and you will learn about the real world. Best Acct. professor so far. I highly recommend him.
Albeit not the easiest class, however I thought the professor himself was great. He explains everything in detail and you will learn. Obviously being in Acc 3100 you know you'll need to do work. Tests are hard, he prepares you for them about 65%, the rest is up to you. No attendance, but not worth it to miss class. I'd take him again if could.
oh cmn this Prof !!! the worst
He is not easy. He gave many challenging problems, but the textbook would not help you. He disagrees with the textbook, so you might feel like you are on your own. He demands 100% attention to his lecture, and he would flip out if you don't!!! He has temper!!
he is the best for Fin II. His exams are tricky but he is a fair grader. he does one problem in the class, does not go through the book, make sure you do the problems he gives you over and over again. he does not care if you answers are correct(it is a simple math) but if do not know how to prepare a heade for statements, you will fail in the class
throughout the semester you learn A LOT. he is xtremely helpful, after class esp. gives a lot of assign. doesnt collect all of them. but they help a lot. final exam - a NIGHTMARE!!! knew the material like the back of my hand - totally flopped! xtremely tricky! was pulling an A (until now). have to have a great bkgrnd in acctng 2 do well.
The class itself is hard. The professor is the best accounting professor in Baruch. He explains each topic until you get it. Tests are a little tricky, but if you do the work he asks, you will do just fine. A lot of assignments, but he is just preparing for the exams. I would definitely take him again.
He is the BEST professor here at BAruch. He was very helpful. I feel that I learned more about accounting taking his class. The class is hard, he challenges his students, but what accounting class is not hard? His tests are not easy and there is homework that he collects. Overall, he is a good professor.
extremely knowledgable, love this class. one of the best professors I've ever had. expect the exams are tough.
HE is not as good as I think, and you can not learn too much in his class. I mean the CPA exam.
He must be one of the best prof. in Baruch's Acct Dept. I really love the way he teaches. He doesn't require students to read text.he explains everything in class, and make sure you fully understand the ideas. the test is 100% based on his lecture. He really cares about what students care. Amazing professor^_^ highly highly recommend!
Need to attend his classes and take good notes. A lot of homework problems given in class that count towards your grade. Exams can be a bit tricky, but if you study the notes and homework he gives, you should be ok. Hardly need to use the book at all, everything is based on lectures. Very particulara about details, spelling, presentation etc.
excellent professor, one of the best in Baruch, his tests are not easy, but if you study and do all his hw assignments you will be fine. only mid-term and final, about 40 to 45 each, so make sure to study hard for d tests
He is one of the best! Amazing personality, thinking, grace... You will enjoy just being there! Barely need to study anything on your own - everything is given in class! Great usage of time! Not a minute wasted. Just WOW
The best accounting professor I had in Baruch. Clear lecture, exams cover only materials he taught in class. He definitely makes accounting very fun to learn!! 1 midterm and a final, HW manager & his HW counts 10%. Highly recommended!
He is managing partner in regional CPA firm, very good knowledge, you will learn a lot from him, his test is hard, but you will learn from him to be a good accountant in many aspect, he asked us to use accounting paper, his teaching style is good, you will learn from him.
Best accounting professor at Baruch ever! His teaching style is really good, you will definitely learn in his class, he teaches everything in class you don't even need to read the txtbook; unlike many other acct profs at baruch he doesn't read from powerpoints. Hws are very helpful. His very flexible when grading, gives partial credit.
great professor, great class! pr. Martin makes class very entertaining so you won't fall asleep. You will also learn a lot in his class. Don't bother reading the book for his exams, just go over his exercises and you'll be fine. Take him!
His tests are very tricky. You need to pay a lot of attention in his class, especially to little details, "beside the point things". Text book is useless, need it only for online HW. Overall, Pr.Martin is great person and teacher, his classes are very interesting and knowledgeable. This is not easy class!!!
This professor is not easy as those people said. he said that half of the Class end with C and C+. and his maximun grade is B+. he doesn't use the book as he recommed. becarefull he said, you will get and A when you pass the CPA Exam. also he write his own comment. now you Know dot get surprice when he personally tell you.
really hard and no helfull dont follow his commend because, his assistant is the person who wrote all the below commend and delete the bad one
If you want to learn accounting and not just pass a test, Martin is the guy. I studied a ridiculous amount for his exams and did well, if I hadn't I would have failed easily. There are no tricks to his exams you just better know everything he says and understand it inside and out. Thank you professor for making me learn & keeping it interesting.
Tough-tough-tough!Make sure you come to every class and follow what he is saying. Every little detail counts. Overall, the class is interesting. !!!BUT!!! the midterm and final questions are a way too long and hard. I had a feeling these were the tests for the professional accountants, not students. Similar to class exercises, but much harder :(((
Martin is very knowledgeable and experienced professional, helpful and extremely fair professor. He will teach you real accounting practice not theoretical paradigm from the book. I would agree he is challenging. But if you listen in class and do all his HW, you should not have any problems. Got A-. Thank you Prof. Martin
VERY TRICKY exams. Practice his problems. You only need textbook for Connect HW. This class is definitely NOT easy so be prepared to spend a lot of time studying!!!!
DON'T MISS A LECTURE! Every word he says is very important and should be noted, his teaching is excellent, and reviewing his HW and exercises is mandatory to do well in this class. HE is one of those professors who actually teaches you accounting. That being said his exams are very difficult and you need a perfect understanding of all he said.
Prof. Martin is the best prepared and experienced teacher and professor. He listens to students and tries the best to help. If he taught other acc courses, I'd take any.
Great professor just got done with the midterm. The exam was very reasonable as he taught what was on the exam but yes you have totake noted in every lecture. Im expecting an A- by the end of the course. He is a great professor, always excited before his class. I note down all the pointers he gives. Im learning a lot in his class. Thanks professsor
Class is hard, exams are hard... but the prof is very helpful. He doesnt teach everything from the book but what he says is a must to know. practice a lot! exams require not just memorization but deep understanding of material, cpa questns. Im an A / A- student, expected an A- but ended up with my 1st B-. Still worth taking cause you learn A LOT!
Probably the best accounting professor at Baruch. Explains everything very clearly. He try to make a very difficult and boring class simple and entertaining. The exams are brutal but if you study the handouts and pay attention in class, you'll be fine. Recommend taking him.
Last day of class- the whole lecture gave the professor a clapping ovation. he doesn't teach out of the book, gives very hard tests, but u learn the most from him, an absolute must for an accounting major to take him. attendance is very important and treasure every handout he gives.
Great Professor, you have to listen to everything he says. Exams are VERY tricky, I guess he is looking for application of the knowledge NOT how good you can memorize what he gives you. Attendance is mandatory for receive a decent grade. I got an A-, worked extremely hard for it.
If I would have to take this class again, it would be only with professor Martin!!!
GPA Killer, Super tricky exam nothing like hw problems, kind of like CPA exam question.
Do not miss any classes. His teaching style fosters learning in the classroom, and thats what i enjoyed most about Martin. His tests were hard, but very doable. Do not just study the handouts he gave you, use other problems for other sources. Take Martin if you want a thorough understanding Financial Acc 2
If you only study the handouts that he gives you, you will be jeopardized. Even though you are not required to read a textbook, it slightly helps you.
Do not recommend him at all. Very tricky and hard exams! He doesn't teach at all, just gives his handouts and expects you to know how to solve them. Do not take him.
Although a hard class, Martin goes out of his way to explain the material. He'll stay late after class to answer all questions. Doesn't use textbook as much so I suggest studying his handouts & listening very carefully to his lectures. He tends to be tricky & include concepts he mentions in class. Overall, one of the best professors in accounting.
BEST ACCOUNTING PROFESSOR IN BARUCH! Must attend class, but trust me the class is entertaining. Exams are difficult, but as long as you do the homework and listen in class, you will do well.
He's a very nice guy and seems very willing to help. However, I feel that his style of teaching was unclear and very confusing. I feel that even people who don't grasp the material can still receive a good grade in his class because even if your numbers are wrong, you will still get full credit as long as you follow his formatting. Didn't learn muc
The best professor I had at Baruch. He is very passionate and very helpful. The lectures are perfect. No textbook needed to get a good grade. Just come to class and listen. Follow his instructions about homework and you be good. 2 noncumulative exams ;)
Edward Martin is by far the best accounting professor at Baruch. Others should learn from him. He is passionate about accounting, jokes a lot and makes 3100 class a real pleasure.
He is a reminder that accountants can be extremely knowledgeable and pleasant at the same time. He knows how to teach ( some teachers have not idea of how to make the material "easier" to grasp);he makes 2 hours fly by with his fun personality, PLUS he sets an example of what an future Accountant or teacher should aspire to be. TAKE HIM!No REGRETS!
It was the 2nd time I took Prof. Martin's ACC3100 as I experienced transfer shock the first semester and had to re-do it all over again, which was the right thing for me to do. Prof. Martin's class is SO FUN! He is kind and puts a lot of effort into teaching. Deal: 10%HW, 40%Midterm, & 50%Final. No books, but I highly recommend you take good notes!
Prof. Martin is one of the best professor I had ever have. He gives two exams and take home homework and also online homework. You don't need the book for class. If you want to pass this class with an A you have to study and practice his excirsises he give in class and also pay good attention to everything he says in class.
GPa killer
No book so u miss class u r done Very hard subject and profesor is hard grader save ur GPA he is gonna kill it
I swear he's a nice guy, however, his exams are difficult. They draw on knowledge that you need much more experience for than two a half hours for. If i had to do it again I'd still take him.
The best prof at Baruch College. First time I feel sad after the last day of class. He is a very nice and respectful prof. If you want to learn, take his class. I will take all acc classes with him if I could.
He was the best professor for this level of accounting. I miss his class so much. Insightful, brilliant and kind. Truly a remarkable person who's impact on me will be ever lasting. Thank you professor Martin.
Take this professor!!! His lectures are funny and he keeps you awake the entire time. Does pretty well in covering the topics of only what will be on his exam. He give a lot and i mean A LOT of practice problems and HW during class that are very helpful for preparing for exams since he uses the same format of Green Sheet journal entries on exams.
Prof. Martin is one of the best, he really teaches, doesn't read slides. He's an actual accountant and very knowledgeable on actual information in the market. He goes to the point, and doesn't waste time on things you will not use in real life. He mainly bases tests on his handouts which are homework along with some connect. 2 tests: Midterm/Final.
Accounting 3100 is a difficult course but Professor Martin makes it much more interesting. His midterm and final consist of mostly short answer questions relating to the handouts he gives. However, don't make the mistake of just memorizing the problems on the handouts because the exam questions require much more in dept knowledge.
no doubt he is a great professor but his tests are extremely tough! its nothing like his homework and all the handouts he gave out! you would have to know above and beyond what he teaches in class! because its a gate keeper for accounting major he makes it difficult he said that in class.
Professor Martin is a great professor. He has a good sense of humor and makes you enjoy accounting classes. Yet his exams are tough. He takes points off from everywhere, such as dollar signs, dotted or double lines, capitalization and abbreviation. You have to be very careful about writing when taking exam, otherwise you cannot get good grade.
He teaches very well and his handouts and class problems are fair! however his tests are mixed for everything with whole another level! also he has one midterm and final! if you mess up one you are pretty much messed up! So do very well on both classes.
its not an easy class! you can easily pass this class with C because he gives out points for the format! however if you want decent grade you have to work EXTRA hard and and you need to know everything about the topic he teaching. only 2 tests and few homework. Take him if you finance major and just want to pass! Accounting major remember your 2.5
I am a junior and 4.0 student until I took this course. I got A on cost accounting, but I received C+ on this course. I put exactly the same time effort. I never received A- or B grade in my life. But C+? I got 87/100 on mid term. It should be ended with B at least. Do not take this course. Extremely hard course. Im telling you.
First off, DO NOT skip class, or you have NO chance. Take LOTS of notes. Study ALL his handouts. Midterm and final is 90% of your grade. Exams are FAIR, he does NOT curve. I did not study much, and got an A. But I was very engaged in class. Gives partial credit. For exams, DO NOT neglect minor details, it's how you lose points. GREAT guy.
Best accounting professor at Baruch. The topic is hard but if you keep up with his homework and practice. You will not only pass the class but understand the subject
His lectures are very good. However, he uses the same hw assignments, midterms, and finals semester after semester. You will have people in your group who have all the solutions and you will be graded on a forced distribution curve (only top 20% A). This doesn't add any value to Baruch-educated accountants. Very strict grader as well. Avoid him.
2 exams. All written response. Hard. Grades harshly, takes off points for minor details. Very tricky. Would not recommend.
Good professor. Hands down would take over and over and over again. bc I would fail :)
He is a solid choice for accounting. Gives partial credit on exams and curves. Homework was on connect and relatively similar to his exams.
Take this class if you want to get atleast a B, lectures were amazing, reviews questions before every exam. Super lenient on grading, he just wants to see you try. Explains clearly and very understandable. Uses the same exam each semester, you can find someone who took his class before to get his previous exams and just memorize it
HW, midterm and final is on accounting paper. The test questions are not that hard if you understand the examples in class and the HW. He will point out all your grammar mistakes but he does not grade on it if it is minor mistakes like capitalization. He does not test a lot of the stuff the other prof & the textbook teaches. SO ATTEND ALL LECTURES!
ACC3100 is hard! HW, midterm & final is on acc paper. Questions are not that hard if you understand the examples in class and the HW. He will point out all your grammar mistakes but he does not grade on it if it is minor mistakes like capitalization. He does not test a lot of the stuff the other prof & the textbook teaches. SO ATTEND ALL LECTURES!
I've dropped this course before because I realized my critical thinking skills sucked. The professor doesn't make you spend hours and hours reading endless pages or practice countless problems. He gives you a set number of worksheets/answers but you have to understand them as a WHOLE. I wish I could type more but the character limit in ratemypro
Not good for you, if you want to protect your high GPA like 3.5 or above He loves to assign F On the first day of the class, he said, "he only assigned 2 As last semester." I was like maybe the students were bad, but I figure out no matter how you believe you are at accounting, he will make you feel worst about yourself
ACC3100 is itself hardest class, and prof Martin is also tough professor, but you definitely will learn a lot about accounting in his class. He is funny, care about his students and make materials easy to understand. Two exam and both of them are hard and you have to study for it. Never ever depend on TB for his class because he makes his exams.
Tough exams. Examples handed out in class are nothing similar to what you will see in the final; therefore, you will have to a lot of reading on your own, which is something I had to find out the hard way. Besides his difficult exams, he is a great human being. Very inspirational and will make you want to work harder.
Dr. Edward Martin is my life saver. i was struggling with ACC3100 , i took it on summer before his class and drop. As people always says "dont judge a book by its cover". when i met him on 1st day 1st second, i thought i have to switch the class, but after the 1st lecture with him, i know i can do it, and i finally save to stay with Zicklin.
Initially, he might throw you off with his old-fashioned teaching methods (eg. homework, exams on paper), but he really wants you to understand the concepts. Forget about using Chegg for this class. Cares about his students and responds in a quick and efficient manner. I would take him again if I had an option to do so.
Classwork problems and homework problems are NOTHING like the Midterm or finals. Homework is easy as hell but the exam questions are a 1-2 KO punch. Very tricky wordings and its MUCH MORE difficult than anything he reviews in class.
He is the best professor in Baruch. The hw and exams are exactly like the exercises he teaches in class. I wish I can take him in another acc class.
This is the best accounting professor i've had at baruch. He is very nice and walks you through problems step by step. you have to go to class and take detailed notes so you understand what will be asked of you on the tests. he is a very fair grader although exams are difficult. mid term (45%) was 4 questions, final (50%) is 5. hw is worth 10%
Lectures and take down notes. Do the homework. For exams, go through the notes he gives you (around 3-4 topics per exam). Use homework problems as practice. 10% Homework, 40% Midterm, 50% Final. Don't rely on the curve, it might not exist because people do well in his class (atleast 4 got 90+ on midterm). Acc paper required. I didn't read textbook.
Professor Martin is one of the few amazing accounting professors at Baruch. If you attend his lectures and practice his class assignments and homeworks, you will do well. The textbook is good for supporting information but not necessary since he teaches the subject different from the textbook. Definitely register for his class if you can.
I'm really happy I took him. I actually learned about accounting being in this class. I really liked his teaching style and our exams matched the the examples given in class. This class is difficult and you do need to work for your grade, but it's worth it in the end. I wish he taught more accounting classes!
LOVE this professor. He teaches a very difficult subject in a very digestible way, and I really felt like I was understanding the important concepts well instead of sort of understanding everything the textbook says. 50% final, 40% midterm, 10% homeworks. Really emphasized learning the statement formats in writing which is very valuable knowledge.
Financial accounting is tough. But he makes it easy by following his lecture sheets and review sheets. Try to learn what he teaches at class follow the sheets and practice them regular. He doesnt curve unless the whole class scores bad.
I didn't use the textbook at all because he teaches the content in detail. One midterm, final and about 8 homework questions which we had to do on accounting paper. The exams were similar to the homework questions. If you actually want to learn accounting Take Him.
Textbook isnt really needed. He is a very old fashioned professor and makes the class use accounting paper. Midterm is 40%, homework 10%, and final is 50%. Tests are all written and very hard. He said the final would be a bit easier than homework assignments, however, it was harder. Must pay attention to lectures since he doesnt use slides.
He is old-fashioned and has pretty boring lectures, hard to keep along. Midterm 40%, Final 50%, HW 10%. Grades pretty farely, but exams are harder than practice problems and always had a caveat that we never learned. I have A/A- in all my subjects but got a B- in this one. He is not for everyone, but for the ppl who understand him, he's great.
His passion for Accounting is clearly evident in his lectures. I'm no genius, my secret was to PAY ATTENTION, Take Notes, Review Homework Problems and Notes, and I found the exam to be very manageable. No need for the textbook. He gives you all the tools you need to succeed, you grade will be a reflection of the effort you put in.
His exams were similar to the homework questions. Both exams and homework had to be done on accounting paper. He taught me how to do cash flow which I had never been able to understand.
Best of the best. His "old school" ways of teaching using accounting paper and HW examples has been far more effective for me in terms of learning about accounting than from any other accounting teacher in Baruch. If he could teach the rest my ACC classes I would take him in a heartbeat. Pay attention and ask questions and you'll be fine.
Don't hesitate to take Professor Martin for Acc 3100. He is the G.O.A.T. (I don't use this term lightly) If you do the assigned homework and classwork assignments, you will be prepared for his exams (NO SURPRISES). I wish he also taught Acc 3200, but I'm grateful for my experiences in this class. I finally understand the Statement of Cash Flows!
Professor Martin's old fashion way of teaching away from using slideshows has made it much easier to learn the material. Uses accounting paper and basically all of his material is from his lectures. Grading criteria is very clear, homework assignments and 2 exams. ACC 3100 is an overall difficult class, but this professor knows his stuff. 100/10!
Definitely one of the best professors I have ever taken. You will actually learn. The exams are slightly trickier than the homework/class materials. So you should not just memorise the solutions but actually understand the material on high level. Not much work outside the class. I believe you can relatively easily get B- but gotta put in work for A
Alright, this was by far the most difficult class I have ever taken. Remember to record the points in writing. It could be a challenging exam. Make sure you carry his homework with you. You won't be able to find the answers if you even begin searching the internet for questions like that. He answers your emails quickly as well.
Thank you Professor Martin. It has been a joy to be apart of your class.
This is a difficult course however, if you show up to every lecture and truly pay attention to what is being said you will be fine. Just skim the chapters and prof will explain to you what is important and what isn't. Put 100% into the 8 homework's he will assign, and you will be more then fine. Would def take again, actually learned from this prof
Professor Martin's teaching style is old-school but incredibly effective. Engage with the material, do the homework, and you'll nail the exams. Unstuck study is a great study tool to complement the course.
Worst professor ever! He made me drop out of Accounting major. Totally ruined my GPA. I thought I did good on the final but i guess not?? He tries to be helpful but not really! Very old fashioned.
He's a nice prof but very old school. No excel no online presence everything is acc paper. His materials are SOS, but some exams full of tricks The issue is def his grading skills-deducts points with no consistency. u could get 2/10 #s wrong he'll deduct 50% ALSO, the midterm was on the 3/15 deadline. The most inconsiderate thing for an accountant
Easy going professor. Doesn't keep you there for four hours. Just need to make sure you can do the class exercises and homework problems to prepare for the exams. He gives a sample solution for them. He tells you what problems will be on the exam. There are some tricky things on the exams though.
If only he taught other accounting classes
Great professor if you really want to learn the material. Everything is on paper including homework and exams (no Connect). You need to learn the format he wants but just follow the examples he gives and you are fine. Tests have no surprises and are very similar to his examples. You will need to study hard but your grade is within your control.
Prof. Martin is great, professional, and respected. He has been teaching at Baruch for a long time, so his classes are well structured and organized. You do your HW and exam on accounting papers. No Connect. Two exams, not M/C but four simulation problems each. Weekly HW that he hands out. Easy class as far as accounting is concerend. Take him.
Good just take him
He teaches at a slow pace which makes the material easier to understand. Would def recommend for sure.
