new teacher that has no clue what's goin on.
New to fullerton; very nice teacher; there for you if you need the help; reviews are exactly like the tests
New to Fullerton, kinda didn't know what she was talking about. Think she trys but not a good teacher. Tests are pretty easy if you take your time to study. If you are looking for a easy class, then it all depends on your luck.
I actually like her a lot. She's very easy to approach. She explains very clearly and answers all queries during office hours. She makes her midterms easy so that it will help with the difficult finance dept finals. Yes, she is a new prof but be fair. As though you guys would handle it better than her if you move to another state.
She is a great professor who tries to answer all questions. If you go to class and study the sample exams you can get a B. If you read the book you can get an A.
Easy class. I barely studied and passed. She lets you have notes for the test and the tests are the practice tests that she gives. If you want an easy pass, take her. Plus she dresses like a street walker from Vegas!!
Professor Ghosh is young, still havin' fun and not very experienced in the real world of Finance. She is smart, but her lectures are just following the power points. She tries hard to help and will take the time to meet with you outside of normal office hours. She is very nice, but she still has alot to learn about teaching.
Worst class ever. She needs a lot to learn about teaching. Take good notes and exams should be a breeze. She doesnt prepare you well for the department final
she is a really good teacher. she tries her best to answer your questions and she makes time for you if you don't understand the material. i recommend this professor.
She was probably the most pointless teacher ever. She crams 3 chapters before the exam in one class session, and cancels class the day before the exam because she's "partying in miami." Watch out for that purple skirt. Oh she never prepares for exams or even the final. Take another teacher, you'll actual learn something
Avoid her. She doesn't teach you anything. Take another teacher who allows you to use text on your notes for the exams (which is everyone besides Ghosh). Doesn't do anything as a professor. Waste of time. Cancels class to party in miami.
seriously this professor is a joke. if you actually want to learn something take someone else. only reason people pass her class is because her exams are almost identical to her sample test. WORST professor i ever had at cal state fullerton.
She's very immature. not a very good teacher. rushes through lecture to she can go party. i really feel that she did not prepare the class for the department final. just stay away.
She's an irresponsible instructor. Canceled class on her birthday w/o prior notice. Her exams are over 90% identical to the practice tests she gave us. She cannot teach and just regurgitates from PP slides provided by the textbook publisher. Take her only if you want an easy A. Avoid her if you care about your education.
First of all she teaches what you need to do well on the test. If you do the problems and do the practice exam you WILl pass. Second, I agree she's still having fun (acts more like a college student) and she dress promiscuously. I guess she wants to have some fun now instead of before. Take her if your major is not finance/
Great Professor. Teaches by the text book. She gives practice exams that are very similar to her tests. Does a great review before final. If you put at least 50% effort you should pass the class.
OMG worst Professor ever, she doesnt know how to teach, repeats whatever is on the powerpoint, if you ask her a question she doesnt know how to answer, her tests are exact to the study guide, I got an A on two tests and an A on the FinCoach but I got a D on the final, and she gave me a c- in the class.
easy if you do the study guides. fin coach is easy if you practice the sample test
shes laid back, you dont really learn much from class. I learned most from my book and the hw. its a pretty easy class
Prof is very good at explaining the material and she's really laid back. HW is not mandatory, but it really helps to do it. Lectures and notes are right off power point, so it's easy to follow. If you take her morning class, she's usually 15 minutes late, but she's not a stickler about students being late or absent. Really enjoyed the class.
Very easy class if you read powerpoint and attend her class. Fincoach is super easy if you study the sample. Read the book if you want an A. She dresses very nice so it pays to attend class!
Eesy going and easy to talk to. Read the sample exams and you would be a "ROCK" if you don't get a B. Gone fishing!
Teacher is young and hot. Love the fact that she always wears skirts :) Great class, she really likes to teach and it shows.
This a class that you need to teach yourself so READ THE BOOK! Loved staring at her because she is a hottie!
she is a good teacher. i learned a lot about finance. i would take her again if i needed to.
Students are picky! If a professor is hard, we trash him/her, if the professor is easy we say that he/she doesn't know how to teach. Read the freaking book and you will be fine. enjoy her beauty! Most of not all the stuff we learn in class, we will not use in the real world anyway. Gone Golfing!
She is a very chilled back professor. Usually comes a couple minutes late and lets the class out early sometimes. There are 2 midterms, fincoach, and the department final. do good on the midterms and fincoach cuz the final is super hard and its cumulative.
I had no interest in finance before taking this class. She took her time and made it easy to understand. The fin coach was super easy. However, make sure to read because the final has a lot more theory than her exams.
I got a 72 on the first midterm and a 78 on the second midterm. 100% on the fincoach and I don't know about the final, but ended up with a B in the class. She gives extra credit from time to time in class and makes Finance fun. Make sure you study her study guide because it is 90% exactly, word for word on her first midterm.
Really hot professor! :) You'll learn a lot. Her lecture is diamond clear.
Easy class..Plus she's pretty hot as well
Course grade based only on 2 midterms, fincoach and final. No homework and doesn't take attendance. Lectures are just reading powerpoint slides. Her midterms are exactly like her study guides. This is good but doesn't prepare you for the department final. She is late to every class 5-10 minutes, kind of scattered. Curves final course grade.
Professor is pretty straight forward in her lectures and midterm prep's. Study guides are helpful as well as powerpoints. She was on time to every class for our section. Overall good professor. Dept final is all terminology hardly any calculations. Study hard for the final!
The worst teacher at CSUF. She cannot teach and need sto learn how to dress as a teacher should, not like a student who is begging for a date.
No graded homework. 2 midterms, fincoach, and 1 final. She was late to class half the time, but gave extra credit to those who stayed. We played group games for extra credit. She is energetic, smart, and dresses hot! Finance might be boring, but she makes it fun. Also, she gives a huge curve at the end of class. Got 2 C's on midterms:final grade B.
Easy class, easy A. If you want to get by easy take her - its a repeat of 320, if you really want corp finance background take Milligan or Agrawal.
I guess my experience with this teacher wasnt so great. got an B and D on the 2 midterm, A on the Fincoach, and got a C- in the class. went to her office hours, asked for advice, she says "study hard, and good luck" not really helpful when you need help. she says even with my extra credit and curve I stil have a C- (what a slap in the face)
I also had a not so great experience. Overall she was cool but I got a B 1st exam, A on FinCoach, and D on 2nd exam. After extra credit and talking to her help still got C-. Sucks!!!!
She was late half the semester. The longest time we waited for her was 40 minutes on the last day of class before the final and 10 minutes late on the day of final. Class was boring unless we were playing jeopardy for review before exams. There are 2 midterms, Fin Coach, and a final. She's not the best. Her curves and extra credit didn't help much.
She was a great teacher. Tests were fair. If you go to her office hours, she will help you. The powerpoints makes the class crystal clear.
Late constantly-once called the classroom phone 15 minutes in to say she wasn't coming in at all. Although her class is easy it hurts you because the final is departmental and you're unprepared. I got a B- after getting a 100% on Fincoach, a B and a C?
Good professor. She makes the class easy. Lectures are extremely helpful and make you not have to read the book. Very helpful and prepares you well for the 2 tests and the fincoach. Highly recommend!
Pro: Teaching style was tolerable. If you miss class, you could go over the powerpoints at home as its the same notes. Answer emails quick. Con: Tests are NOT curved! You can do better with a teacher who curves the class as I got a C but could of done better! The final is hard with most teachers curving, sucks that she didn't for ours.
2 midterms, 1 final, and 1 fincoach. NO EXTRA CREDIT. There is no homework, and she lectures from the powerpoints. Overall the class was ok, but just study the study guides and you will do fine. The final is hard, more study the theory.
No graded homework. 2 midterms, fincoach, and 1 final. She drives from LA to teach, so she was often late. Tests were okay, just follow the study guide (many Q's are exactly the same!). If you want memorize the answers. I enjoyed her class and learned a lot. She's super hot and I would take her again. Got C's on midterm, A on fincoach, B in class.
Pretty easy to understand if you go to class and take good notes. Everything is on powerpoint and she explains the material with a lot of detail in class. Tests are fair with a study guide that's provided. Finance calc is needed! She's always encouraging students to ask questions if they don't understand.
She doesn't lecture anything that's not on the Power Points, so attending class is almost pointless. She's late all the time (literally, made it on time for ONE class out of the whole semester). At least for our class her second midterm practice test was a COMPLETE joke--all math and then actual test was ALL theory). Other than that, an easy class.
Really easy professor. Even if you don't attend class and just look at the power points you can still pass the class, but her lectures are very knowledgable. I learned a lot in her class, and her midterm exams are not that bad if you study concept. Then again what upper division class is not tested on concept anymore?
Finance was definitely not my thing until I took this course. Dr. Ghosh made a dull subject very interesting and clear for uninterested students. The 2 midterms were really easy, you just gotta know how to use a financial calc. The fincoach was a breeze! The departmental final was a headache, but luckily she did a class curve. I got an A :)
I went into this course thinking I was gonna have a hard time passing the class. But 1st midterm=96%, FinCoach=92%, 2nd midterm=85%. The Departmental Final Exam was challenging but I ended up with an A- in the class. Class is easy if you take good notes or look at ppt slides. And oh yeah, she's nice to look at lol.
This is a great teacher. I love to be her student very much. If you do not have that much confidence in a math related course, I strongly recommend u to take her class on my experience. She is a great great great teacher. If u do not understand materials, no problems, she will help you right of the way.
Relatively easy class, but Ghosh doesn't know how to teach very well. She will literally talk AT YOU for 2 hours straight, repeating the same information a few times along the way. Her course requires a supplemental text book that she wrote, except you have to have to tear out the pages to turn in the assignments. Cheat sheets for tests.
Her 2 midterms are pretty easy, and so is fincoach. The final is hard but its curved. The supplement is really good and helps alot. Textbook sucks and u really only need it for final. Her teaching style is so so. Cheat sheet allowed on the test really helps if u make a good one
She is the best professor I have had so far. She is very good at teaching and made the class interesting. Fin Coach was easy, and there were 2 midterms and a final. Final is through the Finance dept. and had a lot of theory questions. Take her, she is the BEST!!
she is a good teacher. 2 midterm were easy if you study. department final is made for student to fail. i had an A before the final and i end up with an B. over all she is a okay teacher
talks really fast. reminds me of a valley girl. she teaches with the book and has power point slides while she teaches so they are a good resource for info. she repeats and writes down all the slides so its good to have them
Hardly any book used! She is very repetitive at getting the concepts across. Just show up to class and take good notes. Work out the problems in class and you should do fine. Easy A if you try a little here.
Her lectures are soooo boring. She goes on and on about one subject, drilling the most simple topics into our heads.. in a very unhelpful way, trust me. I rarely went to class and got a B-. She wasn't very good at preparing you for test, just strictly went through a sample test. Ehhh... Not my favorite professor. She seemed nice though.
Out of my 3 years in college she is the second worst teacher i've had so far. She's always late to class(10-45min late). Then, when she gets behind in her lesson, she covers everything really fast just in time to be tested on the material. She seems to know her stuff, but doesn't seem to care about teaching and seems to focus more on her other job
Her lectures are fast and to the point. I worked really hard and got an A-. Take her if you want a challenge. Did not use the book, did not do the hw. I did not miss any class and I just really listened to her lectures.
Worst class I ever took because the lack of help from the professor. She will waste time with irrelevant jargon, such as how she lives in Hollywood and owns a home in Jersey and loves to take random vacations; no wonder she is never around to help. I went for help during her office times but she wasn't there; asked her for help and she blew me off.
Rarely used the textbook. Her exams are nearly identical to sample exams she gives us to review. The FINCOACH was easy, just practice with the CD-ROM that comes with the book or borrow from the department. The final was a department final and it was kinda difficult.
Basically a review of Fin 320 with a few new concepts. 25% midterm 1 40% project 35% final. Make sure you choose good partners for the project. She gives out a study guide that has a lot of similar questions on the midterm. You could miss out on a lot of days because she just goes by the powerpoint.
She's not helpful. Wastes class time with random stories detailing her home in Hollywood, exotic vacations and how she makes great money. Brags about her job constantly but can't actually perform. She has all the knowledge but lacks sophistication in teaching. Unavailable during office hours.
Not very helpful; went to office hours and she was not there. Stayed after class for help and she wouldn?t help anybody. Seems like she really doesn't care for her student's; also seems like she has some disparity with certain ethnic backgrounds. If you can choose another professor please do and don't waste your time plus money eith this professor.

Professor Ghosh is brilliant. Its offsetting that she is teaching such a remedial class such 332..It does make the student wonder whether or not she really cares(I'd guess she doesn't). I say this in respect considering she is not the only one with prominent friends. I'll be on sunset after finals, see you there
Love her lecture! Her lecture is easy to digest. Make sure you study the sample test posted on blackboard. 1 midterm, 1 group presentation, and pretty easy final since she made it herself. Hard to pay attention sometimes when she wears short skirt. ;D
Course is very straight forward: Midterm 25%, Final 40%, Group Project 20%. As long as you read the book and review ppts, you should be able to get an A or B. She gives you a study guide with similar questions that are on the exams. She's very knowledgeable in finance, but pretty egotistical. Other than that, I'd recommend her.
Recommend. She is very knowledgable in finance. She goes into the reasoning behind the formulas. Very interesting and I feel like I understand the basics of finance much better after her class. Go to class!! She curves at the end.
Tests are really similar to the study guide. There isn't much stuff to be graded but she lags on posting the your grade for the class. Grades are due today and still nothing is up. She rather be doing something else like "traveling" then teach.
She is great! She makes math simple and easy. She is also very helpful. At times she does go slow but if you have patience and listen to her carefully then probably you don't even have to open your book for exams. Do take all her notes. Those are helpful while preparing for exams.
Honestly, the class isn't tough but the professor isn't good. She takes far too many tangents and ends up running out of time so she flies through the material. As a result of this, the class is confused and honestly, it wasn't all that great.
her tests are super easy. you just at least have to know how to do all the problems in the study guide and you could probably get a high B in her exams. one group project at the end which was not too bad. and homework is optional meaning not graded. i skipped a lot of classes but still managed to do fairly well.
Teacher is very hard to follow, lectures go off on tangents that have nothing to do with course or exams. Class consisted of 3 tests and a group project, so not a lot of room for error. Textbook was not used in class, but read it and you will have a better understanding than you can get from the lecture
Prof. Ghosh is an interesting person. She is not very efficient with the use of the lecture time, but I find her interesting because she injects her lecture with bits of her personal experience (work related or not). She is very helpful during her office hours. I think she curved for my class too. I got B's on my 2 tests but still ended up with A.
Was late to almost every class and sometimes would not show up at all, very disrespectful of students time. Lectures were unclear, hard to follow but tests were surprisingly easy. Would not recommend but would not be fatal if you took her.
Attention Finance majors! Take Ghosh's online 321 class. 2 tests and a group project. Course is well organized and you will never feel lost. She makes concepts clear and ease to understand. Her tests do not try to trick you.
Great online lectures and notes. She made the class easy enough to understand even with all of the material she had to cover. The only downside was the group project being a buzzkill because nonparticipating members.
Ghosh will answer your questions well and responds on a timely basis. However, a lot of her online notes were either incorrect, unorganized or had typos. However, her sample exams prepare you well for the actual ones.
There are two exams and one group assignment. The exams can be difficult if you don't read the book and she does Not curve, and there are no extra credit. She takes days to reply to your emails. Not accessible outside the class at all.
Learned nothing in the class, she did not like teaching at all. she taught as if she was doing a favor on the students. Not recommended if you are taking it part of our major. The exams are not easy either.
Alright, Professor G is super chill and laid back. She is hilarious and down to earth. Her exams were 90 % exactly like the study guides. The class is super straight forward and there is NOOO HOMEWORK, I would take her again, she is the easiest compared to other 321 teachers.
Tests were Not exactly like the Study Guide. Stop misguiding people the way I was fooled. Tests are heavy and very little time is given. There is no room for error because there is only two tests and one group project. You basically don't know you grad until the end of year. After you see your grad, there is no go back, ps she DOES NOT curve at all
Tests were similar to the study guide, which helps a lot! Not a lot of room for error though because grade is based only on two tests and one group paper.
Class seemed pretty straightforward in the beginning, however the exams were difficult (no curving) & the project was time consuming & stressful. If you are a self taught & very good in Finance then take her. Think twice before taking her ( if Finance is your major) because there's nothing to learn ( will be difficult afterwards in next classes)
She is straight forward. Plain and simple. She's passionate about what she does and she is practically a genius. Her lessons are broken down easier for students to understand. ASK QUESTIONS, 2 exams and 1 group project.
The online class is quite easy. Just watch her lectures or read the text under the videos and do the study guides and you'll do fine! Grade is based on the midterm and final (cumulative), a group paper (really just reading a case and answering questions), and group participation (decided on by group members). Tests are VERY similar to study guides!
When they say the test is 90 percent what's on the study guide they are being 100% honest. Even the conceptual parts. The only downside is she said we would have our final grades in 2 to 3 days and didn't get them until it was posted on my academics. I bombed the first test because my cheat sheet wasn't good and still got a B-. Easy teacher.
I really enjoyed taking her online class. All lectures were provided on Titanium both in video and text format, which I learned A LOT from, and the use of the textbook or MyOMLab was not necessary. She is so knowledgeable, well-rounded and just very inspiring overall. Easy A!
Shes a nice professor. Shes just late a lot. I did well, but sometimes we were unclear of the grading criteria. Other than that, she genuinely loves her students and wants them to succeed.
She is very unorganized! She takes long breaks and wastes your time! She teaches everything in a totally different way so you cant use the book or even her own slides. There are no homework or any practice questions (except 20-30 Qs for exams) so you can't practice at home! DO NOT waste your money on buying MyFinanceLab!! I DON'T RECOMMEND HER!!
I don't think the professor cares about the success of students at all! You feel the real challenge of online class. You are on your own. You can't reach the professor, and you are left to figure out everything on your own or hire a tutor. P.S. the lectures are helpful, but you need more than pre-recorded lectures to succeed. Good luck.
Professor Ghosh is very fair. She is great at explaining concepts concisely. Just follow her lectures and review the practice exams and you are good to go. There is also one group project. No homework, a midterm, and final.
Professor Ghosh provides concise lectures that are to the point. She will also provide power points and sample exams, study these and you will succeed. No homework, one midterm, final, and a group project. Buying the book is not necessary.
Don't know much about class in-person, but online during COVID-19 wasn't that easy. Midterm only 20 min 12 questions. Super strictly with time. Sure Midterm is similar to the study guide, but it wants a different answer. For example, in the study guide it asking for P0. On Midterm it will ask for % rate of return instead, given D & growth rate.
No homework (DONT BUY PEARSON). Grade is based on 1. Exam (25%) -12 questions 2. Final (40%) - 20 questions ish 3. Group paper (30%) The class was online, She rarely sent out any emails so you are basically on your own. Sometimes she make the material more difficult to understand. But it's doable, don't procrastinate and take good notes!
Dr. Ghosh's style is best for those who need to get credit for this course with very little assignments. Her exams are short, which is intimidating, but they're easy to do well on. Follow her lectures, she provides summaries/scripts for each of the lectures, they'll help you pass. Tests are open notes, use her sample exams and don't buy the book.
No homework is required for this course. There is one midterm, a group paper, and the final. If you bomb the midterm, you better make sure you get a good group and ace the final. Had no idea what my grade was going to be until grades were turned in since 65% of your grade rides in the last two weeks. If you aren't self disciplined, look elsewhere.
Your entire grade is a group project starting at the very end of the semester, peer evaluation for that project, and two exams. The first exam (30% of your grade) is only 12 questions and the project (25%) is just answering 3 questions so it is intimidating. Be prepared for Proctorio on exams with all features.
Took FIN 321 Online. Ghosh provides short lecture videos to break up the material and made it easy to digest. Only a 12 Q midterm, 25 Q final and group paper is your grade. Takes a long time to post the midterm grade, never posted the final or project grades, just turned in final grades so had to wait and see what you received. Open book/note exam
Pre-recorded lectures were helpful. In-person lectures were a waste of time because the professor talks about her personal life. Finance may not be hard, but the professor's complex way of presenting it led me to dislike it. It seems that she likes the status of being a professor but either is unaware or doesn't care about her teaching style.
