One of the sweetest professors I've ever had. Had her during a summer session. Very knowledgeable, and very helpful. Exam reviews are helpful. She acts like everyone's mother, it's very cute! Take her class!!

You can tell this teacher loves math. She's very interested in getting students to understand WHY math works rather than merely HOW math works. Also, she's very kind to students. Another reviewer was spot-on about Giglietta being like everyone's mother!

She is the BEST! I would not have passed alg without her. I was her own personal stalker and she was always pleasant. She even helped me study for the NET--AFTER I was out of her class. Everyone should be lucky enough to get a Prof. G.

I hated math before this class. She didn't get me to like it. But she got me interested in it somewhat. She explains things very well because she tells you WHY something is the way it is. Not just that its THAT because thats the way it is. Do the homework and you'll be fine.

She is very nice professor, helpful and kind. She really cares about her students. The subject is kind of tricky but if you do your homework and read the book, you'll be fine. If you can, take Prof. Giglietta you will not regret.

her class was easy for me because i was already goo din this subject but for all those who said they couldnt understand her she is more the willing to give extra help, she gives students all the opportunities int he wolrd to get extra help so if u just dont get the material maybe ur just not a math person but i dont think you can blame her teaching

What is up with these negative comments? Go to her office hours for extra help, you will never get turned down! She will sit down with you and help you out until you understand! She is very helpful to students as long as you help yourself (putting forth effort) and ask questions. It seems most students do not get the "help yourself" part.

I think that she is a nice prof. and defintely willing to help you but not the easiest or best I have come across. You defintely could find someone better.

I dont know why she has so many negative comments, she is def one of the better math professors at bergen. She helped me get a "B+" that I def did not deserve, she is more then fair when it comes to grading you just have to go to her and ask. And she explains things very clearly, she is just a little hyper sometimes.

She can be a little hyper sometimes, but that's just her passion for Math shining through. I believe she does care about students, she is helpful, and, in my opinion, she is a very good teacher. I have math anxiety, and she is very clear in how she presents new material. I'd take her again.

She is very odd but a good teacher to take she simlpifies things to the core so you understand everything about a problem. she is shomewhat easy you have to show up to class she is only absent about once or twice in the semester as long as you do homeworks you will get a good grade in class there are 5 tests and she drops the lowest test.

Loved her! Thought she was great and extremely helpful. She teaches Math in a clear, comprehensible way. Do your homework every night and you'll be fine. It's Math, don't expect to just wing it. She's very clear with what will be on exams. Great personality and a love for what she teaches.

Great math teacher. She's wonderfully down to earth and she does try her best in getting everything ready for you to take for Pre-calc. She's just amazing. Tests are easy if you at least study for a bit. Homework is mandatory but it's heavily advised you do it.

Really nice teacher, did all she could do to help her students do well. Spent her weekends making up study guides and graded our tests with an eye to give every point she could. If you do the homework and study you will do fine in her class. She wants her students to do well.

I hate math and Prof. Giglietta made it tolerable. She explains everything thoroughly in class and her tests are very fair. I have to take another math class and I'm definitely going to try to sign up for one she's teaching.

She is a nice teacher and helps out. The only problem is that she makes unnecessary comments to the students. She goes at a good pace with teaching the lessons. She takes questions from the txbk and puts them on the tests, so if your doing well with the homework then u wuld do fine on the tests.

She is extremely nice and cares so much about seeing her students succeed. Very fun for an 8am class, the time flew by so quickly! There are four exams which are extremely easy if you study the review sheets she gives out and know how to apply the formulas (which she gives on test day). Strongly recommended!

Takes the test straight from the book. Her test are some what difficult, but she does want her students to pass.

I loved her! She has a personality that you will either love or hate, so register with caution. Can be sarcastic at times, but nothing too insulting. She made math 130 enjoyable for me.She explains questions thoroughly. As long as you do the homework, and show up to class(and pay attention), you should get an A.

It's a really easy class that is actually just common sense! She tries to make it really easy for everybody but her attitude is horrible. She tries to be superficial nice but you def get the vibes that she IS NOT soo nice! If your able to look over it do a lot homework sit in the quite boring class and read to pass her class, thats perfect for you.

For Statistics and Comtemporay Math I received an A. She gives out homework (Do it! This is where her test questions are from!)everyday and her test are fairly easy if you pay attention in class and do a couple of problems. Coming from a C/D student in math from High school, you will feel accomplished and proud of yourself after taking her.

I had her for both Contemporary and Sats. She was the best Math professor I have EVER had. If you do the homework, show up for class, and review the study guides for the tests you will get an A.

I think she is a pretty good Professor, If you go to her class everyday, do homeworks, and review and ask what you don't understand you will pass. It is not easy you have to study hard to get an A in her class and book very important.

Math is not for lazy people. She is the EASIEST professor in the world if you do your work, show up to class and study for tests. She's really nice and clear, never tests you something she didn't teach on class. She also is funny and sometimes talks about her life which is not boring at all. Take her if you are willing to work for the A.

gigliettas not exactly a tough teacher, its the subject she teaches. i took her and she babiessssss you through her lessons and gives you the clearest examples so you understand. just pay attention and do the practice problems she gives out. exams are alot easier than the actual lessons and tells you EXACTLY whats on the exams

Must show up to class unless you are not caring about your grade. book is needed :) dont sleep in class she takes ur picture. but she will make u laugh

Honestly a great professor. The people complaining are the people that don't do the HW or don't pay attention in class. The subject she teaches is hard but she gives you an example for everything and walks you through it. You over the HW every class and asks you which ones you need her to do on the board. Great professor

She a one of the best math teacher I ever had in my life. she break down the course materials in very simplistic way and there are 3 chapter quiz. 1st one is the hardest, she will review the exam and clearly tell you what she wants for answers. if you show up and do her journals and home works its easy A.

Amazing Professor! After leaving her class makes me feel smart. I recommend her to every student for every subjects that she teaches. just do the homework, journals and make sure you are there daily and willing to learn and you'll get an A definitely.

I should have definitely failed but didnt. Professor Giglietta is an extremely sweet woman. She explains everything at a slow pace and is very very clear. She tries her hardest to make sure that you don't fail her class, and it is obvious that she cares for her students. Also I was way way over the absences and she did not count it against me.

Good teacher! I would definitely take her again if I could. Explained lessons really well and helped if you didn't understand. She has daily journals to hand in for each class based on the lesson but they were super easy. Very accepting of absences as long as they had a reason. Recommend taking her class if you have the chance!

Best professor ever I failed her class basically because i didnt care at first but she would continuously push me and eventually i got an A on my last test even though i failed every test exp one she did everything she could and i received a D I have to retake this class because it is required to have a B for my major and i am deff taking her again

Sweetest woman ever, honestly. She's a great instructor, she always asks us multiple times if we're okay with the material before she moves on and is extremely helpful. She gives great real life examples that apply to the lesson so it's very easy to understand. I'm not a math person at all, and I can easily say this class is a breeze.

She's so helpful. Journal due every class, but it's just on homework & reading. Do them!! Only chapter tests. Has her own website where you have to register for homework. Easy class if you follow her notes. Loved her.

Best Professor At Bergen. Lectures are clear as could be and the exams are just what you do in class. Took her for Contemporary and Stats and actually came out learning something unlike other classes where you hardly learn a thing. Also she is a people person unlike other professors that have a wack personality. MUST TAKE!

Took her for Mat-130 and loved her. She may go fast sometimes but if you ask her to repeat it, she doest not mind. She has 3 exams, daily journals and test journals. The best advice I can give you is study on everything she tells you to study on and you will easily get a good grade. I definitely recommend her.

I've hated math all my life and somehow this class was a breeze for me. Her lectures are so clear and the exams directly reflect that. No surprises. Daily journals are a bit annoying but I understand why she does them. Overall I was really pleased with this class and it gave me hope that I'm not doomed in mathematics.

If you're like me and not so great in math, don't skip any classes! She explains things very well but I missed a few classes and was lost for that section. If you miss a test she makes you wait until the final week of the semester to take it and it is much shorter so there's less room for error. She is a wonderful teacher though! Do all the HW!

She wants you to pass and she does the most to help you do so. Her lectures are fast but precise. there is a lot of journals and homework they are annoying but they are there designed to help you understand the material and allows her to know what she needs to cover more in-depth.
