No book required no reading no nothing, all you do is write an essay one per week that is like one page long in the whole semester...best of yet he gets your 2 best scores on the paper and averages them out....he always lets you out early and he is funny, i do reccommend his class, the only thing his writing style is werid.

Lorenzo is awesome!!If you get a 4 on two papers you have an automatic A! Not an easy grader. He gives papers back, asks you to redo if u got F for practice, no credit! No more class after two 4's. My friend had poor writing skills and he finished by midterm with two 4's. Highly recommended.

Mr.Lorenzo is very helpful the first week of class, after that your on your own, you will attend class every week to write a topic and rewrite the following week other then that theres no communcation in class atless his explaining your paper, I enjoyed his class but at some points you may feel that your failing, but mostly the whole class passed.

I took 1101 w/Lorenzo this summer. He's very fair and understanding. I had to miss some classes because of family problems. He let me make up all the work and he gave me an A. He based my grade on how much I learned and improved. I love him.

I took this class as a mini-term. It was not challenging at all, easy A. To be honest, at times, I felt I was going back to elementary because of the teacher's writing style. Don't get me wrong, I am not a 'writing freak' pffft and obviously care about getting a good grade in the class, but not with someone that makes you feel like a 5 yr old.

This is my third class with prof. Lorenzo. I'm taking enc1102 next semester. I wish I could take more classes with him. He's helped me with more than writing. Students can visit his office anytime an talk about other classes. You can tell he loves to teach.

Great Professor, he really cares about his students and his class isn't very difficult. He doesn't ask for perfection just for you to demonstrate that you can write and express yourself through your writing clearly. Lorenzo's attention to detail is what sets him apart. Make sure you use a blue pen! His syllabus is easy to read and follow. His classes are short and simple, he gets straight to the point. His grading is very easy as well. You have 3 essays and your highest grade is what you get on the class. He does one on one evaluations and tells you want to improve on and how to improve it.

I enjoyed course very much. We read a lot of author Charley Reese. It seemed like a history class and psychology class combined. Prof Lorenzo knows a lot about literature. I look forward to 1102, because we be discussing the constitution.

Easiest A Ive ever gotten. Due to the pandemic my class was email based. Yet, even through email you can tell how caring this professor was. The mini term only concluded of 3 essays and that's it and even then he was highly motivating and straight to the point. He really cares and values his students work. His priority is to help you pass.

I took this class online. At first, I thought it was MDC Live. But everything was online and he emailed the assignments and he graded them. I finished all my assignment way before the end date of the class. An Easy A, and one of the easiest professors I ever took. I already signed up for his class spring 2023 ENC1102.

there were only two papers of 500 words for the entire class and your final grade would be the highest grade of the two papers, super nice, super easy interesting, he was nice grading and you have more than enough time. you'll save yourself a lot of work and time. you don't have to join any class through anything just check your MDC Gmail.

I do not know who rate Professor Lorenzo as awful. But for me, he is the best Professor, he just ask you to write an essay with 500+ words. He directly email you his syllabus, informative video which I have learned a lot about freedom, valuing the time, finance, and stock market.

He gives a couple of composition exercises where you have to write two 500 word essays. That's all you need to pass and he is very easy on grading. I highly suggest taking him.

In my first year of college, I took him for ENC1101 I passed with an A+. I waited a whole year to retake him for ENC1102 and don't regret it wasn't t going to take anybody else. I also referred him to my mom. He's that great! Take him!!

I took his async class for summer B. It was 2 essays and the higher of the two grades was your grade for the class. I finished two weeks early and was done. I loved his feedback and would easily take him again. Highly recommend!

Easiest professor to have. Only had 2 assignments for the course with no midterm or final. The 2 assignments are to watch 2 videos and talk about them in a 500 word essay. He wants you to learn useful life skills and gives good and detailed feedback. He does not use canvas only the MDC email. Take him for ENC 1101 and ENC 1102 you won't regret it.

This was the easiest class no final and two essays. He is lenient with the work but the assignments are super short so you should get it done before the due date. Stress free classroom he is verbal about your assignments which is nice he takes his time to read everything. Awesome professor 10/10

Clear instructions are provided by email at the beginning of the course, so you can review everything and submit your only TWO essays within the first weeks. Your final grade is the highest grade you receive on those essays. No quizzes, no tests no Canva. Zoom meetings are enjoyable, and time flies

Easiest course I've ever taken. The course consisted of two essays you had to write; whichever essay you scored highest on would be your final score. There was a midterm through honorlock, but it did not count toward your grade.

Professor Lorenzo was an amazing teacher. I took him for my first year of college due to the reviews I had seen about him, and he did not disappoint. Honestly, there were only two essays; you could even get a head start since he sent all the work on the syllabus. super easy. If this is your first year, do yourself a favor. TAKE HIM

Best professor ever! He does not use Canvas and conducts all communications via email, so check your MDC email regularly. Midterm and final are not required parts of the course. There are two essays you need to complete and submit directly via email. He gives clear directions and expectations so that you can earn an A in the class.

Great professor, had zoom once a week not mandatory, has only two assignments that are not based on any book and only 500 words. So nice and respectful, responds fast and checks work fast the only thing is he onlu uses email not canvas so thats where u send work.
