He is a very interesting man with lots of amusing stories. However, he is a very tough marker. His tests may seem extremely easy and simple at first but they are not. He takes off a lot of litle marks which add up in the end because each question is only worth 1 or 2 marks.

He is the most precise and concise a student can ever have. He makes the most boring subject very interesting and always tells you very "unique" real-life examples. Absolutely recommended!

Excellent professor. Filled with knowledge and experience, Dr. Carl is very fair to students. When choosing groups, however, make sure you find a good one, or else you'll have a hell of a time doing the Country Analysis report.

Good class, interesting lectures, nice professor. Be careful with the project - needs a lot of work and it's at the end of the semester, which means that you will be preparing for finals... Start early! Otherwise, enjoy the class, it's very interesting.

Dale Carl is an inspiration to life. He motivates me to learn not only about his class, but as well about the world. His class jumpstarted me to a new look at what I am capable of, and I will never forget his class. I would take theoretical mathematics or basket weaving if he taught the course. He makes everything interesting. Plus, he's hot.

Dale is byfar the best professor at Ryerson. The course was a lot of work, but he is fascinating and gives you an appreciation for everything around you. Very friendly, outgoing and works hard to make sure you do well. Notes are easy to read and understand. He is very easy to talk to. Definately a worthwhile course to take. You'll be glad you did.

Dale Carl is the best prof and IBS522 is the best course @ Rye. You'll feel like u know a lot more about the world after u finish the course. Class avg. has always been >80%. 2 MTs 30%@, 30% project, 10% simulation game. NO EXAMS! It's a good "buffer" course if ur schedule is fully loaded with exams. Tests are fair, questions come from lectures.

Though some people dislike the fact he shows favoritism, these are usually generally the people who don't do well in the class to begin with. Highly recommended overall.

Dale is really nice professor. He has tons of experience to bring to class, which makes class really interesting. I'm not the strongest in testexams so i didn't do that great in terms of that, but the majority of the class did really well. He is always available for help and wants everyone to succeed.

He's a pretty funny guy. Very much approachable for questions in person. Gives you the topics on what will be on the quizzes. Easy marker. 99% of Quiz/test on the lecture slides. 1% of in questions of what is discussed in class. Completely drew my interest in learning and understanding the content.

This Prof is amazing, but the TA for the class is a complete idiot.

The class was not bad and he wasn't either (in fact it's an easy A). What I did not like about the class was the fact that we had no discussion about the controversial things we were learning about. How are ppl gonna learn if we have no discussion? Are we not in University? I was very disappointed in that regard.

One of the few professors that clearly show passion behind what they do. Dale was straightforward with course requirements and even gave hints on what was on the test. I received an B+ and not an A because I skipped a lot of these classes as it is barely offered through Chang. Great professor and definitely consider him as your next prof!

Dale is a real gem at TRSM! I'm going to say that class isn't mandatory, but he does give you hints throughout the semester on what to specifically look out for on tests! The course is reliant on his lectures, so study the material with a bit of memorization you'll be perfectly fine. This man is well respected because he respects those around him!!

Took Dale Carl twice for GMS 400 and GMS 695. Amazing prof and wish there was more like him at Ryerson. Although attendance isn't mandatory, you will learn a lot by attending AND he gives clues to what's going to be on the quizzes/tests. He is very knowledgeable and his lectures are not out dated at ALL . Definitely recommend.

The best prof I've ever had. No textbook so you need go to all the lectures. But it's an extremely fun class, shares tons of interesting stories and also gives clues to what's gonna be on the exam. Keep notes of what he says and you'll basically have all the answers.

Great prof and worth it to go to his lecture if you're a GMS major. Very experienced in the field and decorated and has a lot of great stories to tell you won't hear from other profs. As for examiniations, just read the slides and you'll be fine.

Dale is by far one of my favourite professors at Ryerson, he is the reason why I decided to major in GMS. I am so grateful to have had him! Note: format is 1 quiz - 1 midterm and 1 final, it is all short answer so make sure you know your stuff and explain everything in clear and thorough detail. I got a 50% on the 1st quiz but ended up with an 85

100% would retake, Amazing prof who really cares about his students, full of knowledge and eager to share. I am so grateful to be a part of his class.

Dale's a great prof. His midterm and exam are EXTREMELY easy and based on questions he covers in the lectures prior. Attendance is not mandatory at all. However, he's one of the few profs whose lectures I openly attended. He also marks extremely generously on the Country Report so your group doesn't matter. Overall I would take him again.

I had Dale for both GMS400 and GMS695, and would HIGHLY recommend his classes to anyone. He marks generously, teaches inspiringly, and overall is a pleasure to be taught by. I went to maybe 4 lectures in each class I took but somehow ended up with an 80+ average. Also, don't do that, because the lectures are great. Absolutely MUST take him in TRSM.

Hes an amazing professor. His exams are based on his slideshows as theres no textbook so study all slideshows posted. His exams are based on them and each class he gives accurate hints to exam questions and quiz questions (theres only one easy quiz). Group project was marked very easily. Overall hes a easy professor who cares about his students

Dale is such a kind-hearted and wholesome prof! A mid-term, report (individual), and group report which you really do not have to worry for in anything, just read the slides for the midterm, put work in the reports and you get yourself a 100%. Dale was such an amazing and accomodating professor. Case presentations were done in a group and it really depends on who you're presenting to that will determine your mark, but they were marked very fairly. Assignments / Reports were extremely easy and flexible and were marked super fair and lenient. 100% recommend taking this course for credit.

If you have GMS400, take it with this professor. Dale is a legend (ok I may exaggerate but if you have him for this course, you're lucky). He cares for his students, I never skipped his class because his lectures are always interesting. He will get you to be aware of what event is going on around you and in our world.

Prof. Carl is sensible and very kind. He makes the classes very simple and interesting. Midterm was easy and only consisted of stuff from the class. The individual project lets you report on what ever you want. The group project does require proper time & communication, so be wary of that. All in all, great prof & great class!

Best professor I've had. Course breakdown was a midterm, paper, and final. Both exams were extremely light, I only needed to study a day before. The report takes effort but is still fairly straightforward. I didn't need to attend lectures because the content was all posted, but the ones I did attend were very interesting.

This was literally the only class that I attended every single lecture. He is super clear with what is going to be on the exam. One of the most amazing profs, definitely recommend taking a class with him

Honestly the only good prof I had this semester. Lectures are interesting and as he teaches, he says to focus on this point as it will show up on the midterm/final. Video report wasn't hard, just tedious to find a video as there is so much out there. Graded pretty easy on that as well. Overall, a great prof and exciting to take 695 with him in fall

Dale Carl is one of the most lenient professors at TMU for sure and makes the course very enjoyable and easy. Studying for the midterm and final were easy as everything you need to know is in the slides he posts. Video report was marked super easy as he basically gave almost everyone 100%. Overall would recommend him to everyone.

Video report took a little bit of time but he marked it very easy. Attendance isn't mandatory but the class is really interesting so I went every week. Excited to take GMS695 with him

Dr. Dale Carl was my favourite professor at TMU. Had him last year and enjoyed his style of teaching so much I took him again this semester. Amazing professor who cared about his students, may he rest in peace.

One of the best profs at TMU. Engaging lectures, clear exam focus, and reasonable workload. unstuck ai was a big help for efficient study prep alongside the slides. Definitely worth taking this class.

He was one of the best professors, who did not only use textbooks but also his life experiences to teach us which was very valuable. Even if the classes were not mandatory, his lectures filled with his life experiences made you not want to miss a class. I would really like to thank him for his lectures and the material he taught us.
