Very boring class, take notes all class every class, tests aren't that hard

Dale is really nice, and always buys her students a drink after each semester. Good teacher, but I would never go and get hammered with her and the other students... I might take her course again! Good, fair tests and teaching methods!

i have had dale many times and i always try to get a course with her. She is very easy to get along with and knows what she is talking about

very helpful when you ask for help. you take notes the entire class. the tests are easy if u know everything in the notes. the course textbook is worthless.

Dale is a very compassionate teacher. If you are there to learn and you show up for class and participate you will get a good grade. Dale takes her teaching very seriously and yet give you perspectives on Crim. Never has she ever giver her Bias opinion.

good teacher.. gives good notes in class.. reading notes are freaking hard as well.. get help if u dont understand... but if u study the notes in class and do study questions from text.. ull do fine

She's very organized. She sets up study groups and is very helpful. Her sense of humuor is wry and ironic and rocks.

Dale is a very helpful teacher. She actually cares that students get through the course. Unlike some other teachers, she actually has her **** together and knows what she's talking about.

Show up for class, take the notes, review them, and tests are easy. Straight forward, she lets you know exactly what she's looking for. Not very friendly.... Don't bother with the texts.

Anyone who doesn't get a good grade in this class is an idiot! Just do the freaking questions at the back of each chapter (and remember the answers) and you'll get a guaranteed A. She even tells you this! How stupid are you people????

She's helpful if you ask...but you MUST pay attention if you want to pass her class.

Interesting teacher.. not her fault this course is introductory and a little dull ;) she's organized, gives out class notes before the test, doesn't trick you on tests.. if you study and go to class, guaranteed A :)

It is a bit of a difficult class but she is good! Plus she got rid of an assignment at the end of the term because she figured we had enough on our plates!

Very nice person and very helpful. However, notes are difficult to read and tests are some what difficult. study and you will do fine. Very funny lady and cares about her students.

Dale makes things interesting. She is extremely organized, cares a lot about her students. (In one of her classes, she started crying because people didn't do as well as she hoped). She has a wry, witty, sense of humour.

Really up on her research but really unorganized. So called 'helpful' summaries were late, time wasted watchin her write crooked on a board, stuff handed back late. near the end of the semester she got lazy - ended classes early, had cancellations w/ no notice and not posted - very annoying

stick with dale, you might be put off at first but once you get to know her she is great. she is willing to help you out at office hours as well.

Dale is awsome. I purposely try to get her. Her tests are hard but completely fair if you study. Not an easy A, but if you study it is doable. Her notes are clear, study anything in bold. Hate the tutorials though, worth too much %. She's always ready to help, but ASK!!

Dont have to read the text, just go to class and take notes. The notes are easy, and she is really quick to respond to e-mails for help. Get on her good side and its that much easier! She knows her stuff, so you can't bs your way through.

Great teacher, best I've had so far, but definately not easy. She is a very fair marker and is always willing to help, provided you ask.

Good Class. Sometimes interesting, sometimes boring at times but she gave useful notes and the class wasn't too hard.

very cool teacher, if you love crim, you will like her class, but if you take her course for easy marks, don't do it, she isn't super easy, unless you work hard for it, a B+ to A shouldn't be hard. She's also very nice and easy going.

Yes, Dale is old school, BUT, she is an excellent teacher. Her exams are really hard (lots of material to memorize) - but she does have a lighter side to her too! Anything confusing in class, she was very good about clarifying the information. If you don't ask questions how can you learn? The material for this course was painfully dry.

Dale is a great teacher. Yes her tests are a little hard but aren't everyone's? You can't just get good marks without studying. I took her for crim 1208 and took her again for 1107 . Her tests are reasonable, she tells you excatly what going to be on it. Her assighments are easy. She helps you when you need it.

I have taken Dale's for three of my classes. I think she is a great techer (hard test though). She does offer help when it is needed. I recommend taking her at least once.

Dale is a tough professor, but she is great. I've learned a lot from her. She works her students hard, but is very fair with her grading. I would definitely take a class with her again in the future. Definitely one of my favourite professors so far in my post secondary experience.

Dale is a good instructor. She always tries to help students by asking them to come to the tutorial class. If you show up to the tutorial, you're more likely to succeed. One thing I hate about Dale is her marking. 3.8967658/5 sucks. Be like the others and give me either 3.5/5 or 4/5

Dale was a great teacher! She made sure you learned something from her class, because if you didn't you failed! I totally respect her hard style of teaching. Sure the majority of my class failed, but she game them many opportunity's to succeed. I would take her classes again!

She is very helpful and informative. Learned a lot from that class. Tests are made of T/F, M/C, and either matching of definitons from text or short answer. Tests are easy if u show up for lectures & read the text. She clarifies things quiet well from the text. First 2 assignments are easy and fun if u follow the directions.

She's a great teacher. Definitely knows what she's talking about. Her notes are perfect and she takes her test straight from lecture notes and chapter readings. Very helpful, tells the same story at least twice in the term. Tries to be funny... but it's "old school humour"

Dale is very nice but her tests are ridiculously difficult and not enough time is always given. However, for the essay she is extremely helpful and clear with what she wants.

Dale is a good proff who means well and is always there for her students. Her class was difficult but if you want to do well, then its up to you to do the work... She will help you if you ask for it.

once you've taken her class, you truly are ready for any Uni level class. She explains and teachs perfectly. Eventhough i didnt get a A in her class but i was still impressed at my grade. Long as you listen to her lectures, finsh the assignments and study you should get a B or higher.

She is nice and willing to help. She's a bit of a hard marker, her midterm test was difficult. Class avg was around C-.But she made up for it by making the final way easier. Class was somewhat boring, probably why a lot of people skip, which leads to low class avg.

Her lectures are always a delight. Perhaps it is because she has a philosophy background. Anyways, if you take her intro Crim class, I highly suggest reading the textbook. At least READ the assigned chapter TWICE. Once before class starts, and once after. READ the notes TWICE as well. Then study it. I usually get C- but in her class I got an B.

tests are difficult, but she makes sure you learn everything and she's always available to help you on assignments. great prof.

Really nice woman but horribly hard.. our class averages for exams were in the 50's. Would recommend her as a person... but if you don't want your GPA to go down then I wouldn't take her. Great lady though.

I think Dale is amazing. I don't think she is hard at all. She doesn't use the textbook that much so you have to go to classes for the lectures and her tests are based on her lectures so all you gotta do is study the lecture material. I learned so much in her class, I would definitely take her again.

AMAZING TEACHER! the class was fairly easy, tests are straight from the lecture notes and few questions come from the text (not much reading, 3 midterms, one final, nothing is cumulative. always replies to emails the same day or early the next day, no presentation but you have to read five articles and write three page summaries on each on she give

Dale is a great prof if your willing to put in the effort. She is willing to meet outside of class to help or clarify things. She is a hard marker but u end up learning a lot in her class. I would take another class with her for sure!

I took 1207 and 1208 with her, she's not very popular but she is a good teacher. I can still remember the material i covered from her class and i took it a year ago. The content itself is hard for both courses but she is super straight forward. Do the work and pay attention. She is also very helpful outside of class

Very reasonable prof. Her multiple choice questions were difficult but she stopped using them in tests when class kept failing that part of the test. She is a very helpful prof.. People complain that she is difficult but if they would just put some effort in to assignments, and study for tests, there's no reason to not do well in Dale's class.

Be prepared to work hard in this class..tests are based on notes/ readings...and there are a couple of Cases that you have to do as assignments. It isn't going to be a walk in the park but if you pay attention, work hard, do what she outlines..you should be walking out with an A. You must commit to actually understanding the material.

Dale is an awesome teacher! The person who commented below is probably just mad because they got a bad mark. I am sick of hearing ppl on here bash teachers because they actually have to put some work into the class. That is exactly what Dale expects, and she is very helpful!! She is also very funny!! If you put the work in you will do fine..

Dale is a teacher who gives you very good guidance...if you ask for it. Don't expect to coast by or put in the bare minimum like most students who have commented on here. Attend the classes, read the book, reciprocate conversation in class, approach her with your intentions for what you want out of the class and enjoy her unique sense of humour!

If you show up to class, participate in class discussion, and do the assigned reading you will pass. Her lectures are long but you learn a lot from them if you pay attention. Her marking structure is odd but somehow it works well for her and for your grade. Overall she was a good prof I would take a class with her again.
