HE is the best male teacher I have ever had. He is not TOO serious but serious enough to stay on topic and acheive his learning goals for the day. If you have a question he makes sure it is clarified to the best that he can elaborate!! He is WONDERFUL!!!!!

Dr. Doty is a cozy, amiable, amusing man. I am enjoying his class immensely. He uses lots of strange and funny examples from his private practice, and tells REALLY corny jokes that are so unfunny they're funny. He doesn't hand out many notes, so you actually have to read the textbook. Beware! :-) You will have a blast in Doty's class.

hes the best friggen teacher EVER!! hes madd funny and has all these stupid lil things that he tells u to help you rememebr things...u cant go wrong if u take one of his classes, even if u dont like the subject, u wont mind learn'n it with him.

He really is a great guy....soo funny, and willing to clarify anything you need help with. He really makes the time go by fast because you get so caught up into class discussions. I totally recommend taking his class. He makes learning really enjoyable.

One of the best professors I have ever had. His test setup's are awesome and so is his attendance policy. If you like an interesting lecture than you should attend it, but you are not required to. All you need to do to pass is read the text and I guarantee an A

Very funny teacher, interesting to listen to. You can tell that he is very smart and he knows what he's doing. He can definitely get you to listen easily. The test setup is awesome, too. Has saved my arse more than once.

He's awesome. Very easy going and he likes to make jokes. he's not shy, and likes to poke fun at the way we respond to things. I very much recommend him!!

i loved his class. he was very funny and kept the class interesting. he helps you whenever you need it. just be prepared to STUDY!!! THATS THE ONLY WAY TO PASS THIS CLASS. but if you like to have fun while learning, you should really join his class.

FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!! hes one of the best teachers. its easy to do well in his class becuase he gives his students plenty of notice for tests and hes a really easy grader. he understands that we also have lives, and doesnt drown you in homework. GREAT TEACHER!

I love Dr. Doty!! He is the best professor at M.C.C. I took psy 101 a bunch of times, but never really got it until his class. I wish he could teach all my classes. He makes the classes so fun and interesting. I would recommend anyone that can get in his class do it!! You won't regret it!! Your the best Triple D!!!

I have taken many Psych courses with him and he is also my academic advisor. I keep taking classes and trusting him because he is very intelligent and an amazing teacher and person. He is the best teacher I've ever had, he makes the subject matter easy and fun.

What an amazing teacher, I thought my class was going to be hard and confusing but DR.D's teaching style is fun, relaxed, and class oriented. He makes learning fun and even though the tests are average the project is real simple. I recommend him to any Psych students out there. You will have fun while learning.

A bit inappropriate sometimes, but otherwise he's pretty amazing. A lot of fun, he gives a lot of real world examples. Also his tests are pretty much taken straight out of the study guide so it's your own fault if you fail.

Had Doty for Psy 101 & 150 & he was great! He's funny & so laid back, but he's not boring at all,he made PSY 101 interesting.You can't go wrong with him.For people who said he talked about sexx too much, could that have been because you were in Psy 150? which is called HUMAN SEXUALITY!! duh if you're scared of sex talk dont take PSY 150.

Took him for PSY 150 (Human Sexuality) and PSY 206 (Abnormal Psych). He is great. He has his own private practice so everything we learn about, he has a real world example. Very funny, very helpful, he makes you want to come to class. HIGHLY recomended if you want to learm the material in a laid back and fun environment. Will miss him when I leave

Fun professor, though tends to go outside the criteria a bit here and there during lecture. Tests are clear and easy to understand if you know the material. Makes Psychology a little more fun for those who may not be majoring in it. Gives essay assignments to help boost up low test grades (ABNORMAL PSY), as well as addressing bonus points to exams.

Dr. Doty is very laid back. He is always in a cheery mood and tries to make you laugh. I enjoyed his class very much. The lectures are interesting, although they wander off topic (usually to sexual matters) almost all of the time. If you stick to the book and study guides he provides, you should do well. I HIGHLY recommend his classes!

Easy class yet really boring. Probably would have pulled off an A if I read the book or listened to any of the lectures. He likes to get off topic (a lot) but he's really funny!

At first I really enjoyed the class- he had a lot of jokes, covered some stuff but after weeks the jokes got old and getting 80s on the tests when I would try hard to grasp all the material got old too. He doesn't really actually teach so you have to read and decide what you need to know alone and there is a lot of misc. info. to sort through.

Really nice and cheerful kind of guy. The class was too easy. I never read and always got fairly good grades on the exams. Most of the information you learn in high school health class. His assignments are ridiculously easy. He's really laidback and helpful, the easiest A I've ever gotten.

He was a wonderful teacher. He gives out great notes! If you look over his notes and read through the textbook you will get an A. He is a big jokester which made class fun.

He made the class very interesting with his examples and comments. This class is very easy. Just stick to his notes you dont even really need the book but it is also helpful. If you need help, just ask him and he'll tell you. I had his class at 8am (summer course) and he kept me awake. Overall this was a easy A class. Your only graded on the tests.

Excellent professor with a great sense of humor. I took this class at 8am and was always wide awake and interested. His jokes are somewhat inappropriate but extremely funny. His notes are amazing and as long as you show up to class and take notes, you should do well. I would recommend him to everyone and would take another class with him.

complaining because he made your class interesting and he didnt read off of a screen?! doty is amazing. you do learn if you pay attention. tells stories from career based on whatever the chapter is about that week. he gives study guide that lays out exactly what is on the test. lets you use one index card for each chapter on test. doesnt get easier

Hes a nut case! Hes funny and all but I have to retake the class because I could not take him seriously and got a C! It was really hard to pay attention because he dident really care if you did or not he just kinda came, did his lesson... and bounced but he cool.

Very funny, you can hand in any project early and he tells you what to fix. You can bring a cheat sheet in for the exams. For an 8am class he made it very entertaining.

I recommend this man to everyone! He has a teaching style that will kept you entertained and wanting to be in class all the time. Doty Is beyond amazing, and reading that his test are tricky? The man gives you everything you need to know if you come to class everyday. Best professor hands down!

Awesome teacher. I'm naturally a shy person, but it was interactive class in a fun way! He's funny, and he'll make learning memorable in an appropriate way. Make sure you study his guidelines, and you'll do great.

He's the man. Flat out. Extremely knowledgeable. He was the department chair for obvious reasons. You must take responsibility and look through the chapters of the book as class goes on. Always makes class interesting. If you show up, pay attention and put some effort into reading out of the book you will get a "A". Even the tests are fun!

I hope that I can take all my PSY classes with him. He is absolutely hilarious and he makes it very easy for you to pass his classes. Show up and read the book and you can pretty easily get an A in his class.
