This prof is real nice, He makes class easy and he helps whenever you need it.

Very easy going guy, always asks the class twice if you get the infomation. Test are kinda retarted, didn't like them, 50-80 questions (95% true & False). very fair and very helpful, tries to not make it bored. He gives good test reveiws and also sometimes let you use your book for tests. I recommend this teacher to anyone that is scared of ECON!

Dale will make you interested in economics. He uses examples that apply to our everyday way of life. Why is the dollar worth less? Is inflation good or bad? Does the Fed do It's Job? Just how well do Americans manage their $$$? How does a bank use our money to make money when we deposit it in the bank? If you want to understand? Talk to Dale.

Dale is the best teacher I ever had!! He is really easy and tries not to be boring during lectures and he tries to help you understand everything. The only way you can fail his class is if you're lazy and you don't take notes and read the textbook, because most of the time, he'll let you use them on tests! I just wish he could teach more classes!

I really enjoyed this professor. He talks about real economic issues of today, and gives practical examples. He'll interest you in Economics. His exams are pretty straightforward, and you shouldn't ever fail any of the tests. Just do your part reading, comprehending, and attending the class. You'll be fine.

This is a sweet and sour rating. Dale is a great teacher. He is interesting and really cares about his students. The best ever in this area. But don't question his test answers. His econ professor in college was super strict, so though he tries not to, he really get's mad when you question his test answers. Other than that, he's great.

I loved this class. I thought that Dale made the class very interesting and relevant to what's going on in the world today. You are definitely not weighted down with just facts and figures from the book. Very easy going environment. Glad that he is teaching 1170 next semester!

One of the nicest profs at Macomb. Exams are all T&F questions (100) but are not largely difficult. He wants you to achieve and does everything possible to help you. Watch out though because one exam while I was in his class was 100% True.

Class is laid-back and fun, he repeats everything to make sure you've written it down right, tests are open-book-and-note, class is never boring, and if it is he makes you get up and talk to someone new to wake up... Definitely a great professor. If you get him, keep him, and you'll be fantastic.

I really enjoyed Dale's class because it was always lively. This class so far is my favorite class that I have taken as a college student. Dale takes concepts straight out of the book and correlates them with everyday life. He allows you to use a sheet of paper on the exam and will typically conduct test reviews a couple days prior to the test.

Great professor, entertaining, respectful to students,wants you to succeed. Exams are true and false. Professor prepares you for every tests, not overly hard to pass this class.

Dale reviews the day before tests so there is no reason that you can't pass. If you skip class, you wont pass because his lectures are everything you need to know for the tests. Even if you are late, still go! Don't be afraid to ask questions or to repeat what he just said in the lecture.

Professor Erickson is a great professor. You will leave a easy going class learning something that you can take out into the world. I had him for one course before and taking another with him currently. And don't take advantage of his kindness. The first test will make you nervous but be sure to know material, because it does count.

Class grade is based on 4 tests. I hate economics with a passion but I actually enjoyed coming to Professor Erickson's class. He is caring and likes to get to know his students. His lectures are NOT boring and he is hilarious! I wish I took ECON1160 with him too!

Dale is great! without a doubt the best instructor i have ever had. There is never a time where I wanted to miss Dales class. He is truly the greatest person and professor i know. Professor Erickson made Economics enjoyable. Gives his lectures in great detail and explains everything very clearly. Youre graded on 4 exams throughout the semester. Attendance wasnt required but he made you want to come to class. Overall, I liked the class and would take him again in the future.

This professor is always ready to help the student. One time I had a little trouble understanding some of the terms and concepts. Do you imagine what he did when I asked him about those term? He gave me his phone number and said call me after two days. When I called him he spent 45 minutes of his own time in explaining every question I had.

He is all right and a fantatstic guy. But the problem is he grades by very few things. So, if you messed up only one test, that means you have no any chance to get back to A. After all, he is the best.

The only professor I've had at Macomb that actually cared about his students. He will go out of his way to make sure you understand the lectures and prepares you for the test. The class was super easy. We were sent a homework assignment every week (5-10 questions) and then we had three tests to take. That was all we were asked to do... the positive is the class is not time consuming and super easy to pass, the negative is that the three tests pretty much determine the grade which is why many ended up with Bs.

I took him for an online auburn hills econ 2620. and he makes you take 3 tests including the final and that's it. No homework no work. You still learn the essentials however it's easy credit. He also has great communication for any questions or feedback. Then I really recommend professor Erickson

Don't listen to the negative reviews. Professor Erickson is one of the best teachers I've ever had. Yeah he will make sure your head is not down on your desk/you're paying attention but he cares about his students and is extremely clear on what is going to be on the 4 tests that he gives (no homework). He allows you to use your notes on the tests.

I've been putting this review off for a good minute... I took this course back in Fall of 2022. All I have to saw was it was one of the best first impressions of the college and easily the best 12 weeks I took there. The best I could describe him is as a father-figure; he has the caring demeanor and humor of one. The classes were highly memorable.

Great man! Had a very fun time in the class, and (don't tell anyone this) succeeded in passing each exam well without a glance at the textbook. His lectures can be very in-depth, and he encourages talking with other students at times. Tests are personally written, and overall at the perfect difficulty range. I don't recall any homework.

Probably my favorite professor I have ever had. He lectures most of the time, but uses his personality to make it great. He gives you everything you need for your test as long as you go to class and pay attention. Overall a great person, would 100% recommend him to anyone.

If I could take Dales class again I would. He didn't assign us any homework, and all we had to do was write the notes he told us to write down. All the notes he gave us were word for word on the exams(only graded on 4 exams). And it was all open notes open book. He truly cares about his students and made us feel like we are his family. 100% suggest
