Loved Prof Walker. Great and interesting teacher. He taught from his own experiences abroad and used his own pictures and slides. He is helpful and kind. As a student you want to do your best in his class. would take again in a heartbeat. great *****! He cares abot your grade if you do!Teaches at SMU also.

This teacher was absolutely awesome. He was always there if you needed to talk to him outside of class whether it be class related or not. He was more than willing to help you out with your grade if you are willing to put forth effort as well. The textbook wasnt used much because most of his lectures came from what he knows. Great teacher.

LOTS of papers--one per day since I took him for Maymester. The "group papers" are confusing at first, but you're only graded on your part. Very interesting lectures; he speaks well but some may have a problem with his accent. One out-of-class project required. He made a rather boring (IMHO) class fun.

Once in a while you will come across a teacher that you are just drawn to because they possess such a strong charm. Mr Walker is the perfect teacher for any student. Hard workers and slakkers alike will enjoy being in his class. Mind you there are quite a few papers but they are so very simple. I never bought the book but you if you like to.

He was a good teacher. I found his personality to be one of a kind, some controversial debates made it fun but on the other hand there were a lot of times where he attempted to have class discussion and the class didn't speak up leading to awkward silences. He knows what he is talking about. Take his class but SPEAK UP PLEASE i wish my class did

He's a pretty funny guy and has the coolest accent ever. :D The class got involved in discussing several topics and that made it pretty interesting. The only real complaint I had about his class is the weekly essays at the beginning of the course.

Great professor! Teaches with power points, but gives study guides for test. You barely ever use the book in class BUT you will need it for the study guide and test. Test are easy if you do the study guide and study! Average grade in his class is a high B. Enjoyed going to his class everyday!

by far best prof i had fall 09 semester :). he makes everything simple and understandable. if you need help he will always help you out. take him and youll thank me later. he's good like that (youll see why i said that)!!!

One of the most enlightening teachers. He will test your ability to argue and if you can cope with opening your mind to new ideas, you will benefit greatly from this class. If you listen in class and engage in conversation you will not regret the knowledge you obtain. Those who says he does not explain what he expects are probably just lazy.

Go to class and listen on a deep level. He is very understanding and will work with students. He seems like he genuinely cares about his students and wants them to excel not only in his class but in life. It may seem difficult to those with close minds, but he grades fairly in that he will give you a grade you deserve! Take him!

He is the best teacher ever!!! He is interested in his students! His tests are very easy and he doesnt make you write long essays, in fact every friday we used to have discussions on different topics instead of essays!! I would completely recommend Dale to any student!

focuses on the human aspect of humanities, not just about historical time periods in art/literature. he's cool, kind, open-minded, and has a wicked sense of humor. great reviews. easy tests.

He is a funny teacher, loves his subject, but talks about some weird things. he can affend you in many ways by the things he says but its all jokes. Good teacher. Very laid back and fun personality. Easy work for the most part. Due to a thick accent he is sometimes hard to understand, but you get used to it after a while. Never reads out of the textbook, very engaging lectures.

He is very enthusiastic when it comes to teaching humanities. His class is relatively easy. You got 6 easy Persia paper, and for quizzes he gives out study guide. He very personal and likes talking about his son. He isn't strict and attendance is not mandatory. He willing to talk if you need help. But yeah he doesn't believe in commitment.

HES SOOO AWESOME EVERYONE SHOULD TAKE HIM!!!!!! He's VERY passionate about teaching so he's alot of help. I can't say one bad thing about him!

Awesome teacher! My favorite at Collin, he really cares about his students and is so helpful. I thought all of the assignments were easy. You'll do alot of group work but he grades individually so that was a plus. Have tea and talk with him! He is really a cool guy

I took him in Wintermester with no interest in Humanities, whatsoever. I ended up with an A and loving Humanities! He's always willing to answer questions, clarify concepts, etc. His lectures are so interesting! I looked forward to his class everyday! He's a cool, laid back professor. I would recommend him to anyone!!!

Dale is not from here so he brings a much needed view point different than other professors. He is worldly and very smart. His group work is set up really fair. Show up and try, you can't fail.

Wow...where to start. He comes from Trinidad and let's it be known. He is VERY funny, I found myself holding back laughter plenty of times. He speaks very clearly and no doubt is very knowledgeable. However, if you are religious, then beware taking him. He's not an atheist, but will try to draw away from religion. He is a nice guy though. :)

Easily one of the nicest professors I have encountered, and you can tell he is very serious about being a good dad to his son. He does his best to make philosophy understandable and fun. My only complaint is that in retrospect I wish I had been challenged more in this class. Regardless: clever guy, funny, and surprisingly compassionate.

It is so easy to get an A in this class. A few two page papers. 3 tests (all over notes). Group projects. Dale made this class FUN. He also pushed me to think outside of the box and question everything. TAKE HIM

Pretty easy class-The projects were easy (3projects: 1research paper, 1live performance paper, 1creative project paper/image), the quizzes were okay but you have to do your reading. He does Powerpoints a lot, and sometimes it was hard to stay awake in his class, but 95% of the class is VERY informative. Very funny prof. He LOVES Starbucks!

By far one of the BEST professors at Collin College. He loves his job and teaches it very well. It's an easy A as long as you do all of your work and at least try. You should read but you can get away with passing the class by just listening to his presentations. There are only 3 projects that are given at the beginning and are due at the end.

He is awesome! do he work 100% committed and GO TO CLASS he says he doesn't count it, but at the end if you need just a little bump he will most likely give it too you IF you went to EVERY class

Absolutely LOVE dale!! he is very interesting & a great prof!! i took him over a year ago for intro to humanities which i knew NOTHING about & surprisingly enough i knew a lot about arts/music. i still look forward to passing him in the call or stopping by to say hi! he truly cares for his students & makes an effort to let them see it.

I was a little intimidated in his class at first, because he comes across very harsh. But, he actually makes you think about what he is teaching, so you learn! Not an "easy" A, but if you listen, take notes and turn in your projects, you will do fine. He is a great teacher, with a dry sense of humor...TAKE HIS CLASS!

Overall, he is a pretty good teacher. But I will say this, if you are religious (any religon) he may offend you during the course. He is VERY straight forward and a bit harsh. Textbook is mandatory for reading quizzes. You will have a research paper, a creative project and a live preformance paper. The class is interesting, he makes you think.

You'll be assigned into small groups at the beginning of a semester, your group will pick 5 time periods, and each member will write 1&1/2 to 2 pages on assigned topics of that time period. You'll listen to music from different time periods and and be expected to identify them on the Final. Light work load and easy quizzes and final.

Probably one of the best professors I've had this semester! Can be intimidating at first but all in all, he just wants his students to be successful. He is very opinionated and intelligent and I loved going to his class! I always had a really chill conversation with him after class. Do the work, follow the rubric, and you'll make an A.

I've found Quad C to be really hit or miss with professors. Far and away, Dale is the best professor I've had at this school. If you show interest in his lectures and give him the respect he asks for (not texting in class, etc), he will go above and beyond to help you. I'm taking him again this semester for philosophy.

Excellent Professor and one that deeply cares about the world around him. Sometimes during his lectures he gets very passionate about certain subjects. Need to use the book a lot to reference pictures for the exams. Start on your research paper early and practice your oral presentation. One of the best classes I have had.

I adore Doctor Walker. He does have very strong opinions so be prepared for that sort of engagement. He is helpful and genuinely interested in his students education. I wish there were more professors like him in college. His class is structured in such a way that as long as you pay attention and do your work you will be fine.

Outstanding professor. Engaging lectures. Attend class, come with an open mind and be prepared for his sharp wit. I took during 5 week summer course & learned so much. I would not say he is an "easy" grader, but if you put in effort it will be recognized. Take notes & stick to his straight-forward study guides for the tests & you will do fine!

Best teacher by far, teach's you everything you need to know! His lectures are amazing and can change the way you think and more! Take him before you take another professor and fail! Easy A, if you do the work, quiz's are 20 questions and straight forward from the review! hes the most ambitious&creative person i know take him now if you want an A.

Amazing professor. He'll know if you put in your best effort and you will be rewarded an A. He is a great guy who cares about what he teaches and will make you appreciate Humanities more than you think you ever will. The 3 projects were super easy and the quizzes were fine if you actually take the time to study everything on the review. TAKE HIM!

Dr. Dale, so far is the best teacher I have ever had!!! At first he intimidated me but the more you come to his class he is quite easy to get along with. He believes passionately what he is saying, cares out the students and wants everyone to learn. Do the work and you will pass his class.

I enjoyed his class and would definitely take one of his philosophy classes in the future. His degree is in Human Rights Law. He is passionate about education and takes it very seriously. This is high quality learning at a community college which can be difficult to find.

This class is really great!! However do NOT be late he does not tolerate it at all and will call you out. Other than that the assignments were super easy, attendance is mandatory, the tests come straight from his reviews and the class is interesting over all! Take him for SURE!!

Hes a really good lecturer, i recommend this class

He comes off rude at first but loosens up as you go. You wont pass the tests if you don't study and you wont pass the class if you don't pass the tests. One museum visit which was pretty easy and self explanatory. He doesn't tolerate tardiness or absences so don't get on his bad side. Otherwise very helpful and wise.

He's amazing. I took his class at 8 am during the fall semester but his lectures always woke me up ;considering the fact that it's a Philosophy class. He's very blunt and honest and some people see that as "rude" but hey, you can't take it personally. His tests are right out of the notes, so just read them and read the 2 books and you will get an A

Good class with a teacher who is clearly passionate about what he teaches. Took his Philosophy class, and a heads up there is an attendance grade. Would recommend to anyone who needs a humanity credit and wants to put in the effort to learn a great subject from a great teacher. PS: You do have to work in this class more than other required classes

I love Dr. Dale. Sometimes his lectures go a little off topic, but he loves class participation. 2 noncommulative, multiple choice tests. 2 group projects. His grading is super awesome. There are random in class assignments, so just show up everyday & you will pass with an A. P.S his English accent is so cool.

I love Dr Dale!!! At first he seemed really strict but just 3 days into it you learn to really respect him. He is a really practical guy and really gets you to think. Lectures are great, he uses great examples for everything so you really understand what he's trying to say. Loves to get to know his students and loves participation/class discussions

Dr. Walker is old school, classroom time is spent on discussion and debate, grades come from short quizzes and an essay based on two short books. If you can read a book, write a proper compare contrast essay, and discuss the material in class, you'll get an A or B no problem assuming you show up. Best professor I've taken in 20 years.

At first I was kinda scared of him, but after a few days you realize hes really cool and honestly cares about learning. There was 1 easy paper you had to do and 2 group projects which were super easy. There were only 2 test! Class wasn't hard at all. He really gets you to think. Overall I liked the class.

Firstly, he has a great taste in music and humor! You're expected to work in this class. I had 3 projects, two tests, and one extra credit assignment. It's an easy A as long as you put some effort into it. English accent is a plus!

Dr. Dale is a great professor. He provides you with many opportunities to do really well in his class. I took philosophy, and really enjoyed his class. I learned a lot, and it helped that he is very passionate about the subject. He's got a unique sense of humor, and makes the class enjoyable.

Professor Walker is such an amazing and inspirational teacher. I learned so much about the subject aswell as things about my life i couldnt put a label on until i took his class. His class is lecture heavy but they are quiet enjoyable to be honest. If you want to be succesful in his class read the book it will make things so much easier.

He comes off as straight forward and blunt, but it's really just a part of who he is. I really enjoyed his class and him as a person! His way of thinking and his lectures open your mind to think about everything in a different perspective. There are group projects as well as two tests. He is organized and clear on instructions. Professor Walker was one of the most knowledgeable professors I've ever taken. I took his Humanities class in Fall 16 semester. He gives very interesting lectures, although the tests are mostly based on the text, so make sure you read. He challenged the class to strive for greatness but it will not be an easy course if you don't apply yourself.

lectures r good but some times sleepy. for tests you really don't have to read the book verbatim you just have to find the information about what he provides on the study guide you will pass but theres a lot to makeup. project, fun. its not that hard to get an A! :) hes awesome and caring. turn stuff in on time, especially early.

Dr. Dale is really great if you're actually going to put effort in. If you are hoping for a Blow off class and a prof that hands out 100's then this isn's where youll find it. READ THE TEXTBOOK, participate in class, and get to know Dr. Dale. You will love the class.

okay he is knowledgeable but you NEED to read the book or you will not pass. Class lectures are not on tests, but he takes attendance every day right when class begins. Caring professor 2 group projects and 3 tests DEFINITELY makes you work hard for that A

Dr. Walker is a really good professor. Try not to get offended easily because he sometimes says some things that might be offensive. His class is really group-work oriented but its not too bad. And you really need to read and do the reviews for the test because the tests are really hard but its not so bad if you study before hand.

Awesome teacher, super nice and super interesting lectures! His sense of humor and stories are funny and keeps the class from getting boring. I got an a in the class from just studying the review guides he gives out and not reading the book itself. :) i recommend you taking him if you have the chance!
