very easy class but u gotta attend and read!
Ms. Clark is really nice, and passionate about the subject she is teaching.
I agree, Ms. Clark is nice, and passionate about her teaching. She doesn't teach much though, she expects you to do the reading and exploring culture and everything yourself.
It's a very easy class as long as you attend for the movies and complete the study guides.
Great teacher. Very passionate about the subject, which makes it more interesting. You have to write some journals (easy A) and do a field trip and a presentation, but the classroom atmosphere is light and she has a sense of humor. I would take her for another class in a heartbeat.
Very good teacher, just pay attention in class and do the study guides and getting an A should be no problem. She gives you lots of opportunities to help your grade.
She's incredibly passionate about what she teaches, a little bit to the point of annoyance. She teaches very few concepts and you must rely on your book quite a bit. However, she gives huge amounts of extra credit opportunities (like up to 20 points per test). Three projects felt like one too many. Recommended, though not highly.
Shes a really funny teacher and is really into the subject which makes the class fun! shes also very helpful and provides alot of extra credit in order for you to make an easy A
She's a great teacher!! An easy A.
She's great! Test are straight out of the book, but lot of extra credit points. Must do journals and go on a field trip
Awesome teacher, very easy to understand and is very passionate about what she teaches. If you just try you will make a good grade.
This is my 2nd time taking this class and professor Clark really helped me to understand the humanities. Her tests are all multiple choice. She gives so much extra credit points there's no way you couldn't pass this class. I only have 350 characters to describe this professor and that's not nearly enough!!
Its a very easy class for u to get an A. So many extra credits are offered, there is no way that you cant get an A unless you dont want to. She is so nice that she would help you as much as she can...
awesome teacher, gives out a lot of extra credit so there is no reason to fail. teacher with a great personality. highly recommended.
She is nice... but doesnt teach much in class.. she expect you to read the book by yourself... the test is ok if u read the book...
The class is very easy and she offers so much extra credit, it's hard not to get a great grade. The only thing is, I felt like I was in a Kindergarten class. She's very Elementary-School-Style and doesn't understand that we have other classes and can't devote 100% of our time to her class. Be prepared for TONS of projects as well.
She is awesome !!! Recommended for Humanities
Pro. Clark is the best Humanties teacher at Collin. Not only that, she's easy and a sweetheart as well. So if you need an easy A please take her okay!
Professor Clark is by far the most inspiring professor I have come across during my college years! Her grading is not only one sided, she looks at every aspect. She gives you TONS of extra credit opportunities and they are very interesting. If you want to broaden your horizons then I would highly suggest Dallie Clark as your professor. She is very
She is the best professor. she gives you plenty of opportunities to get extra points and if you don't get an A, it is because you really didn't want to.
Great teacher. took her in the spring. LOVED IT. I've never even heard of a humanities class... only took it b/c i need it... she made me love it! GREAT teacher. not ALOT of work.. decent test.. PRETTY easy. i hardly study and got a B. NICE LADY and VERYYY PASIONATE! she LOVES what she does... and CARES!!! FABULOUS TAKE HER!!! you'll be thankful!
sweet, naive, and funny person...felt like a high school class...so much fun in studying and working...best teacher ever hands down
AMAZING teacher! She's extremely helpful and knows the subject inside and out. She absolutly loves the subject and teaching. Shes very funny and makes the material easy for anyone to understand. She gives you a study guide of everything on the test. I would highly recommend her!
Great teacher. She is funny and makes humanities a lot of fun. Attendance is important or you will miss a lot. You can't be lazy, but her class is worth taking. She is awesome, and really cares for her students..she's not just trying to fill a class and get a paycheck.
She's a very bubbly professor that gives tons of extra credit oppurtunities. She's passionate into what she teaches. Professor Clark is also very open-minded. She listens to what the students had to say. However, the class is overloaded with projects, papers, research work...etc.
TONS OF EXTRA CREDITS. ALSO TONS OF PROJECTS AND PAPER TO DO. GOT AN A
she's really helpful, i loved her style. and also her exams are very easy. but u gotta do lots of homework. i messed up with my other courses only to finish all HUMA assignments. tons of opportunities. tips : don't take it with english 1302. if you take both at the same semester then prepare to write more and more for the infinity times.
she is great! very helpful with alot of extra credit. she makes class as interesting as she can.
she makes this class simple and relaxed. she uses a lot of visual aids to help the learning process, and she is pretty funny as well. she gives a lot of extra credit and is truly interested in her students and helping them learn
Love group projects? Take Dallie! Lots of papers, must study, many outside class activs. REQUIRED. Attend.= a test grade, miss 1=95, 2=90. Will be required to be creative in this SURVEY course. Have an A, still wouldn't recommend. Lots of extra cr.a small plus.Below comments amaze me!
she is the best. so understanding and fun. the projects are a breeze, and the test are easy. didnt even try and made an a in her class. take her you will love it
She is a good teacher, very nice. She is suuuuuper passionate about the subject so thats the only thing that I would say was bad. I never studied, and barely listened and I still got a B. Just do good on your projects! Make sure your grammar is perfect on everything too!
She knows what she's talking about, but is VERY full of herself, and although she may not be aware of it, it comes off strongly when she talks. She gave me a B..with an 89! ONE POINT!?
Fun and vivacious, I really enjoyed her class with Professor Yarbrough. They work well together, blending Humanities and English 1302. She is passionate about teaching and it shows. You will like Prof. Clark's class, trust me!
Prof Clark loves the humanities. Unfortunately, she is under the impression that she must make it challenging to validate its worth. As a result you have a lot of busy work and group projects. The class is not tough, but it's a big pain. She uses Power Point exclusively, lights out. Caffeinate if you must take her, but AVOID IF AT ALL POSSIBLE.
SHE'S AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! Def take her!!! Lots of extra credit if you need it.
AWESOME TEACHER. TAKE HER TAKE HER TAKE HER!!!!!!! YOU WILL LOVE HER. Test are fair, read a lil and go over study sheet and you will do great. she is a great help to..SOOOO much extra credit!!!
she is a very nice lady. It is fairly easy to get an A in the class if you do the work, and turn it in on time. she Loves Group Projects! so be warned. gives lots of extra credit. but i do not feel as if she always know what she is talking about. easy A if you can put the time into it.
Group projects-ugh! She is enthusiastic to the point of irritation. All powerpoint w/ lights off - drink coffee before class. TONS & TONS of extra credit. Do the work and you should get a good grade. I would recommend her.
worst teacher ever!!! Just shows pwerpoints, i didnt learn anything. Our review wheet on the exam said read the book, completely usless. On the review it stated "Some of these topics/names/terms were NOT discussed in class and may not be on the PowerPoint text, so be sure you read sections that apply to them". Shes bad
She is amazing, Very Nice, She tells you what to write down from her power points. She also emails you the important notes from the power points, and its exacly what is on the test, she also gives you a review for the test, and you can take her notes and plug them into the review. I recomend her, The comment before mine is plain ignorance...
She is a nice lady & understand student. But there is a lot of work in her class. I love her so much.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this prfessor. Such a thorough and helpful teacher. She is most interested in encouraging every student to travel the world and become more well rounded. AMAZING TEACHER!!!
FALL 2010-GREAT TEACHER. She is very helpful as long as you are trying. She will assist you with missed work. Participation is a plus.Gives many ways to earn extra credit on test. For the Test study is the key and pay attention.Highly recommended
This professor is a really sweet and helpful teacher, however she really only uses powerpoints to teach which do not give much information needed for tests. On the bright side she does give out a bunch of extra credit for attending school event and doing little projects on the side.
Mrs. Clark is a very nice lady, and her class was very easy. I NEVER studied for the tests, I just did the extra credit (+25pts possible per test!) crossword puzzles. Got an A. Easy way to get a humanities credit. Also have a sneaking suspicion she is a closet hippie. Enjoy!
Easy easy easy A !
Such a sweetheart! Really cares about each and every single student! Wish she taught other subjects!
Fantastic teacher, I had taken this course once before and failed it because of attendance with a different prof. Coming into this course I was not looking forward to it at all but she made it great! Powerpoints are posted on BB and she explains everything very well. Listen, take notes and take advantage of the tons of extra credit! TAKE HER! :)
GREATEST TEACHER EVER!!!! loves teaching and it SHOWS. you have to do effort, but its all very creative and fun TAKE HER
Amazing Professor, very helpful, caring, and enthusiastic!! .. taking her right now and enjoying the class. Pay attention in class and go over the reviews before the tests.. guaranteed A and TONS OF EXTRA CREDIT!!
She is passionate about the humanities and very understanding. Make sure you turn your final group work paper on time, do all the extra credit, email her when you're not going to be in class, and you'll be fine! She's very sweet and fashionable!
I would take from Dallie again!! She is so sweet and generous with grading. Her tests and assignments are pretty easy and straightforward. I loved going to class and learning from her - super awesome professor and passionate about the humanities, which other teachers I'm sure can easily make it boring (but she does not). You won't regret it!
Best Professor I've ever had. I recommand everyone take her :)
I took her online class and loved it! I had no interest in the Humanities until I took Professor Clark's online class. If you do all the assignments and complete the participation discussions every week you will get an a! She is very straight forward with instructions and gives a helpful review before midterm and final. Take her!
Learn little on her class, but easy A. lots credit you can earn. not helpful.
Took her class online. Easy class, just read the chapters before the quizzes and do the study guides. Easy assignments, fun class. She is super happy and loves her job and that translates to her teaching. She's awesome. Helpful, inspiring, friendly, and understanding. Just put in a little effort and you'll make an A
Super nice, fun, helpful, clear, passionate, offers extra credit, respectful...this is how professors should be. Love her!
Prof. Clark is very helpful and gives several opportunities for extra credit. very easy A. she does grade attendence. reviews are given for midterm and final. other than that a textbook isnt really needed. projects are mostly graded on opinion not accuracy. she cares about all of her "dear students" and is incredibly helpful. highly reccomended!
She's really passionate about teaching, and it shows. Class was always enjoyable, with plenty of extra credit opportunities offered, and assignments were graded more on participation and effective arguments. She does take attendance, and your grade will reflect as much if you miss class frequently (I would have had an A otherwise, my own fault).
TAKE THIS PROFESSOR IF YOU CAN!! SO NICE! So many extra credit opportunities, genuinely cares about you even though its online! EASY EASY EASY literally just follow instructions and you will get an A! DON'T HESITATE JUST TAKE THIS CLASS I PROMISE YOU WON'T REGRET IT!
Honestly the best professor there is!! I have had 15+ professors so far and I picky. But she is the most helpful, enthusiastic, amazing professor ever. It was a privilege to take her class. I got an A+, and enjoyed the entire semester of her class. Strongly recommend!!!
She has a lot of knowledge on the subject and includes powerpoints for each chapter. She has visited many of the sites and see much of the art and architecture that the course covers. She was extremely helpful and offered valuable feedback on projects and journal responses. I took online. Thoroughly enjoyed the course.
She's a super sweet lady, but her lectures can be a bit boring; however, the assignments are fairly easy and she's a fair grader. Really hard tests if you do not go over the study guide she gives you, but they are online and open book. Overall, one of the best prof. I've had.
This lady is a super smart lady and has obviously been all around the world. She is sort of a hard grader but her class is so easy. We only had 2 tests the midterm and final exam which were both open note. And had 3-4 projects. Overall this class is an easy A.
Had her for Fall 2013. Mid & Finals are online 50 MCQ. 2 or 3 essays (strict on grading) and a group work. Alot of extra credits opportunity. It might get boring sometimes with the ppt but I do enjoy her showing off her around-the-world-trip photos.
Great quality professor. Easy A class as long as you follow the guideline she gives and you'll make decent grade
Dr. Clark's class was very straight forward. You have 3 super easy projects and then you post a journal entry once a week (because it is online). You also have a midterm and a final and that is it. You need the book to write quality journal responses which she will deduct points if you clearly didn't read. But if you read and do the work, its an A!
Participation matters, gives extra credit a final and a midterm, 23 discussion prompts and 23 projects great class great teach learned alot earned a A+ you get out of it what you put into it Dr Clark responds quickly to email grades quickly and is passionate about the subject take her put in the effort you wont regreat it
Dr. Clark is an amazing teacher. She is one of the only professors I have ever had that I can say truly LOVES her subject and wants to see her students succeed and grow. Weekly, detailed journals on each chapter, 3 (easy) projects and midterm and final. You have to try not to get an A.
Truly a role model for me, she loves what she does and it definitely shows through her teaching and work ethic. Lectures were very interesting for me, but some people found them long. Her tests were online, and she did assign a few papers/projects. Her grading can be tough, but if you put in the effort you will be rewarded. Gives extra credit!!
Seriously a super sweet and caring professor. Her class was pretty interesting and she offers plenty of extra credit if you need it. Also, you definitely need to buy the textbook for this class
LOVEEEE Professor Brooks she is my favorite at Collin. TAKE HER. She is sweet, funny, the content is really interesting, she gives good feedback and grades quickly. 2 fun and easy projects, a field trip to a chosen local museum, weekly discussions and easy Midterm and Final. I enjoyed the class and got an easy A without doing the extra credit.
Dr. Clark is super passionate about the Humanities and is always available to answer any questions. This class requires a lot of reading and lengthy journal posts every week, but there a certainly less enjoyable classes to take. Be prepared for lots of reading, writing, a creative project, museum visit with an essay, and a 50 qs. midterm and final.
I was excited about taking this class in the beginning, but quickly became bored with the weekly journals and excessive reading. I really wish this professor would have been more creative with her assignments. If you can force yourself to stay interested and stay on task with assignments you can get a good grade in this class.
Save yourself the trouble and take a different class.
This class was well organized and the professor responds to emails in a decent time frame. I took this class online it concided of weekly journals (350 words each), 2 online tests and 2 projects. There is a lot of reading in the class, but so long as you keep on top of the weekly assignment you should be fine.
Dr. Clark and I butted heads very quickly. Note I took this class online. 350 word journal entries due every Monday about the previous chapter you read. She gives a list of what she whats include. She will give you one chance to change what she tells you but she is very vague about what that is. If you change it, it may not be what she wants.
Professor Clark was overall a great professor. I took her class online in the spring and it was a pretty easy class. There are 350 word discussions that are due every week but they are easy. As long as you turn in the work on time and show effort, you will easily get at least a B. Textbook is required.
2 online discussions, individual project, group project, field trip of your choice, an open book online midterm and final. Easy to get an A, but she takes attendance everyday and class is boring. You won't take useful notes in class and she treats like a junior high class rather than a college class. Would recommend if looking for a very easy class
I took the online course which you will have to submit a journal entry ever week based on the Chapter. You MUST read the textbook in order to pass. I loved Prof Clark. She is very passionate about the Humanities and includes an informative PowerPoint for each chapter with her very own photos. Gives feedback with expectations to correct entries.
She's so sweet! Always gives good feedback and advice on how to improve. There's options for extra credit and options to redo assignments to get a higher grade! I took her online and I'm very glad I did. Just do the weekly journals, don't procrastinate the projects and you'll be great.
Professor Clark is so sweet she knows alot about SMU Scholarship I got a scholarship from SMU with her help so thank you Professor Clark take her class.
Try and attend class as much as you can since it is a grade, great professor! Keep up on reading the chapters and turn in assignments on time. Very sweet and funny and tries to gets to know her students!
Dr. Clark is a caring professor who loves teaching the Humanities. She is heavy with powerpoint, and no electronics in class unless she says so. One group project, 2 individual projects, and exams are the heaviest grades. She does grade attendance (if you miss, you have to write a short paper). Easy and fun class, you get to see her adventures too.
Took her online HUMA1301 course and if you do the work each week and make sure you meet all the rules and criteria you'll get an A. Each week you have to read a chapter or 2 from the book and turn in an assignment online. Midterm and Final exam are both open book so again just do the work and you'll be fine.
Dr. Clark is an incredible teacher. I highly recommend her as your professor. She is engaging, and makes the class fun. Most of the work is online class discussions and they are fun and easy. You will get an A if you do the work.
Dr. Clark is absolutely amazing. She has a wonderful personality and has great passion for her students. She is well traveled, so learning about Humanities is way more interesting. I love that she is so positive and she will work with you anytime you need help. I was pregnant while taking her class and she was very understanding. 10 out of 10!!!!!!
Please take her! She is the sweetest human being ever! I had her for half face to face and online due to COVID-19 and she adapted very well. She gives back feedback on everything you turn in, so you know if you need to work on something. Grades consist of 3 projects, 2 exams, attendance/ participation, and extra credit! Really great professor :)
Dr. Clark is pure sunshine! She attentively focuses on each student and tries to relate Humanities to everyday life. Feedback from her is everything and I never received anything back without her telling me about it. Oh and I recommend checking out her textbook from the library, that's what I did ! Save ya some $$$. Please take her!
I took her online intro to Humanities class. You have to work to get an A but its obtainable. The class is graded by weekly journal entries (350 words) due every week, three major projects, a midterm, and a final. You can tell she really cares because of her personalized feedback.
Dr. Clark is amazing. She's a very sweet person who clearly has a passion for this subject. You journal every week for credit. Her tests are out of the book and she gives a study guide. The projects are a bit labor intensive, but doable. She offers really great feedback on everything you do. She's very responsive to email and questions. Loved her!
Dr. Clark is one of the best professors Ive ever had. She is amazing at her response time when you need help with something and she really cares about her students. Keep up with all of your assignments and its an easy A. She also offers extra credit. I highly recommend taking her course!
She genuinely enjoys teaching this class. All this class requires is weekly journals based off of the textbook and powerpoints, 2 major reading exams (open everything), 2 projects (relatively easy), and participation. She also provides extra credits. If you ask her for help, she makes sure to answer your question. She is a REALLY GOOD professor!
I took her class online but I could tell how kind she was having never met her in person! She always gave really good and detailed feedback on grades. She also provided many extra credit opportunities. The class was pretty easy and enjoyable for me.
