He's AWESOME!
makes lectures very interesting!
if you need an INTERESTING course, and a fairly easy 1, take this!
too many concepts to know
The best, most dynamic and interesting professor at York!!!
Prof. Kehoe is so vivid! I only wish for clearer exams! (too subjective)
Fun course pack full of relevant information!
Great prof. Would recommend any course he teaches to anyone.
He made the lectures fun and interesting to listen to.
great - but difficult assignments and exams
He's the most inspirational and motivational prof at our school! He's awsome!
Lecture always interesting; knew his stuff, didn't read it; interacted with us
Interesting course! Prof knew material well, excellent speaker! Fun T.A!
Lectures were great. Dalton was always enthusiastic and engaging. A pleasure!
This course TOPS all the courses I have taken. It's fun&intersting. GREAT Prof
The best prof I have ever had. He is so clear with the ideas that he gives us r
Dalton rocks. I had a great time learning in his class.
Animated Prof.--He enjoys his work, which = my enjoyment of his work.:)
I loved this class!! Fun and informative. Would recommend it to anyone!
this course was so great and fun to learn, thanks kehoe for beiing a great prof!
This is a great course - stuff u will actually use
excellent course, goes beyond theory to things you can actually use in your life
very refreshing to be taught by a professor who truly enjoys his job and makes h
He knows all his things and he is interesting, but too many concepts to remember
He's a fabulous teacher, he seems to really enjoy teaching and knows his stuff
Excellent professor! Funny, clear, and helpful. Great Course too!
Excellent course, very informative, relationship with boyfriend has improved!
Very animated prof, which=enjoyable atmosphere,life-lessons, great course!
Prof.Kehoe knew his material well, but too many concepts to remember.
By using personal examples (and practical) he made learning meaningful.thanks!
A wonderful teacher!
He's very enthusiastic which helps me in grasping the concepts.
I love him
he is amazing! but the exam is too hard!
Simply the best!
Great Professor!! I really enjoyed this class and would recommend it to anyone!
Your teaching is, absolutely, beyond excellent! But marking scheme too ambiguous
animated; makes you laugh; knows his stuff and expects you to too
Good course, great prof.
So good I can scarcely contain myself. I love you.
great class! No tricks by professor, he is clear and exciting
Doesn't try and mislead or lie to you. Could take him home to mother for tea.
Vivid, fresh, exciting, innovative, dynamic, incisive, exciting, thrusting.
Excellent visual communication, hand gestures, expression etc. Engenders empathy
Great prof, refreshing teaching style, useful course that ppl should take!!
Only wants to help. NEVER tries to cheat or twist you.
He's special and he likes people. Very charming and elaborate man. Lovely!
AWSOME PROF! ONE OF THE BEST. FINALLY A COURSE THAT U CAN APPLY IN "REAL WORLD"
I like to watch him as I learn. He transfers ideas to brain in excellent manner.
Ever so good with his stuff!!! He can tell you what he knows.
Presents you with personal philosophies and opens his lovely heart. Bold.
The content and creativity of this course has inspired me to improve my rel'ship
It's clear he loves teaching. I learned a lot of stuff I can use.
I can now relate properly to humans and family. THanks Kehoe!!
Has the wisdom of Soloman. An unassailable redoubt of truth, knowledge and beauty
Like a force of nature. His shimmering perfection is there for all to see.
better than any shrink i've ever had!
Is my darling
very useful course, for anyone.
AWESOME PROF!
Very knowledgeable but speaks a bit too fast! Excellent use of techonology!
although i liked the class, i think he knows about this site and rates himself..
Great class. It's the only one i look forward to!
****!
This is the BEST class I've ever taken.
very not understanding...I hate him!
interesting, takes a well rounded look at all organizational theories.:)
His class is very interesting, but the teacher assistant is very unhelpful.
a very enlightening and fun course
Prof. Kehoe, is a first rate teacher. Though I have missed many lectures, those that I attend have beeen excellent.
really really good prof~!
A great lecturer. Seems very passionate about the content and that's what makes him a great prof.
Kehoe's style is very energtic and he does know what he is speaking about, but the assignments are not clearly explained in his tutorials and are far more difficult than he would have you think.Rule:if you think they're easy, you'll fail.
This class was good. I didn't know what to expect when I signed up fo it, but I was very happy with my decision. The lectures are fun and interesting, and the professor is very very good at explaining the concepts and information.
Interesting topic to teach. One of the few courses in university that teach something useful about yourself and those with whom you communicate. The professor comes across as slightly arrogant at times, but this is subdued by his entertaining lectures.
This course was probably the only useful course I have taken in my 5 years at york. Professor Kehoe made everything very easy to understand, and the T.A was great in that she provided helpful suggestions on assignments and essays
Good lecturer and very very interesting and useful topics and course in general.
Probably the only class that I have ever applied to my own life. The lecture notes are hard to follow but his lectures are interesting. The TA I had however was horrible. So I recommend this course highly but beware of bad TA's!
A definite rarity at York--A Prof who it seems doesn't hate his job, and actually enjoys teaching. He posts lectures online which has been an absolute lifesaver, since I work full-time and can't always make it to class. Thanks for caring Professor Kehoe
fun, interesting, inspiring
I actually look forward to going to his class. The lecture notes are very helpful and he makes class very interesting. The only problem is that his exams are REALLY difficult, but because the class is so interesting, you might actually enjoy studying.
Excellent speaker, a pleasure to listen to. Makes every effort to be accomodating with his notes and internet audio lectures. However, crams a lot of concepts and material into a small amount of time, which sometimes makes it difficult to get a handle on.
Dalton is one of the more truely unique profs at York. He is understanding of his students' needs, he makes the course interesting, and provides a relaxed, fun learning environment. He is humourous, and displays an enthusiastic attitude towards teaching.
This man loves to talk...but he sure knows what he's talking about!...Good, helpful course...i'm glad i took it.
Course was VERY interesting BUT his exams were a KILLER!!
Professor Kehoe brings to light the many simple things we take for granted in communicating with others. He does a good job of enhancing the already interesting material covered in the course.
Good course. Exams are a ****. A lot of useful information is offered in this course about how we communicate in our everyday life. Course material is very interesting if you can learn and remember it all.
Great teacher, really knows how to talk to students to get them to understand the course material, very enthusiastic. I hated to miss lecture when I was sick. Who knew what hilarious thing he was going to say? But for real, exams were killer.
propaganda! - all!
The course was very informative and helpful in my life (most courses are not). I found it a bit frustrating when the notes were not available before the class took place and sometimes the very beginning of the video streams were cut off.
I must say I agree with the various opinions expressed by the many (different) people rating DK. He is a far-sighted visionary and a iridescent beacon of lovliness. Humainity's last hope. Intellectual perfection and a love wonder to boot.
PROF.KEHOE DID A GREAT JOB AT TEACHING THE MATERIAL.
Great class, very informative. EXAMS ARE BRUTAL!
SENSATIONAL speaker. Talks with such entusiasm it allows students to TUNE-IN and listen and learn from the class. HIGHLY recommended. His power-points letures and pre-lecture notes are very helpful and excellent idea. TOO MUCH materials to be covered.
A great course. Very useful for both private and professional life. A lot of material but very interesting. A great speaker. Never boring. Offers course lectures via internet, a great idea.
Extremely intelligent and dedicated professor. His one major flaw lies in his exams. They force memorization instead of application, and as a result, unless you have an extreme amount of time to commit it all to memory - his exams are painfully hard.
a good public speaker with the skill to emit his voice clearly though at times too quickly. Great examples and stories to reaffirm the information being taught
He clearly knows the material really well and knows how to express it but doesn't always consider the fact that we don't know what he knows and he goes through the material too fast.
He is an excellent public speaker, who keeps the class engaged for the duration of the lecture. The content of the course is practical, but it is nothing ground breaking. Overall, good class.
Prof. Keyhoe is a great teacher of comm. The lectures were informative and interesting. He talks a mile a minute and his exams are a killer, but he is a modern day Kirk Douglas! Very Goodlooking for a gentlemen of his stature!!!
Dalton Kehoe is a master in his field. When I go to class I am amazed of his knowledge and it is not surprise he is a leader in his field. His lecture are filled with examples from real life and even adds a little comedy. Highly recommended.
Nice, Fun, and informative prof. But, very difficult exams.
Prof. Kehoe is a great lecturer that clearly relays concepts and ideas, with great examples in class.
After hearing him speak at our first lecture, I opted for the in house lectures instead of the on-line lectures based on the fact that he's energetic, funny and define's the course material and concepts to the tee. He even provides an on-line outline for
YOU TALK VERY FAST....he he he....BUT YOUR ALWAYS EAGER:):):)...AND U KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT!!!
Very cute, but kinda hard!
He's a great performer and lecturer but his ideas are stagnant. He's been using the same information for years now and is hell bent on everyone memorising his point of view. Stop telling me what you want me to believe is important Prof. Kehoe
The information that he teaches is useful in everyday life. There are not many classes that you can say that about. This is the one class that I actually look forward to going to. He is very energetic and shows that he loves what he does.
Spends more time giving examples of material than actually explaining it. His lectures lack constructive direction and confilct with T.A. perceptions -- not good for students. Most concepts are the same, just packaged differently.
ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT...encourages students to think, learn and apply material to own life. Lecture style very up-beat and was very sincere when adressing students at the end of the school year that was very heart felt. THANK YOU Prof. Kehoe!!!!
I do enjoy these lectures, however i think he is a bit arrogant, in the way he speaks and possibly thinks.
He really knows the material. However, he talks really fast. He puts up notes before the lecture making it a lot easier to follow. The case studies are hard to do. Overall a fair good course. The more interested you are in organizations and business,

Excellent teaching ethicate. Very informative and knows everything he lectures. All the notes are provided on the internet, which are of extreme use. Very funny, and clear when ever he explains the material. GOOD JOB KEHOE.
this class is all about memorization. critical thinking is neither required nor encouraged. if you like complete regurgitation then take the course, if not avoid it. overall a BAD class
I really enjoyed Dalton's Class!!!The communications skills i have gained have definitely made me more competent in the workplace and at home.Thanx Dalton and our T.A Joanne....Your were great!!
felt like a corporate meeting on how to communicate with fellow capitalist comrades. not too helpful. not too educational.
he was a great prof.
Prof. Kehoe should learn to be a little more sensitive to his students. He has the attitude that his way is the only way.
This course sucks.
for a second year class, it was harder than expected. Lots of memory skills needed. Exams are tough, but YOU DO LEARN important skills, or become aware of certain skills that you were probably obvilious too before. BEWARE:requires a lot of your time.
Dalton's a great Prof. you can't sleep in his lectures. Class is really good, you actually get something you can use in life now!!! its worth taking the course even though exams are a little tough, I didn't regret it.
Dalton was a great prof. I enjoyed much of the course. The use of his PowerPoint notes made the class much easier to follow. However, the lecture notes should be made available a little earlier, even two days ahead of time.
Was hoping this would not be too difficult or time consuming. Was very wrong. Exams are pretty killer, very long. Lots of memorization. A lot of assignments/papers. Interesting lectures though. pretty well organized, nice use of technology. good guy/prof.
I think this course will be very useful for future careers. I like learning about the frames. Dalton seems very knowledgeable and he talks from experience with his consulting firm. Great lecturer. Good use of the internet.
The course is time consuming, lots of memorization, but prof Kehoe is engaging, keeps it interesting, definately worth the time and effort.
This course requires a lot of hardwork. There are tons of readings and the exam is all memorization. Overall, it is a great course just be sure not to take it as an easy class. Prof Kehoe is interesting, a funny guy and is good at explaining things.
This was an absolutely horrific course experience with no interaction, status quo assumptions, ridiculous memory work and no critical thought. Kehoe is chauvinistic and ignorant yet thinks he is all knowing. Stay away.
I must say this was the best course i have ever taken. I found it very informative and helpful to everyday life communication. I highly recommend taking this course. Prof. Kehoe is very knowledgeable and great at getting ideas across.
one of the best professors i have ever had at york
Best teacher ever, he made going to class fun, and the course website helped alot. Plus you can't go wrong with a teacher who looks like Michael Douglas...
Lectures were interesting, assignments brought insite into everyday interactions with personal relationships and exams are to be described in one word...KILLER!
Has managed to acquire an obsessive fan
Prof. Kehoe was is a very intelligent, and candid professor, he is an accomadating teacher, and teaches you not only the curriculum, but skills for life. Plus his T.A's (Jo Mac) was a phenomenal teacher.
Fun, Enticing, Dramatic...always keeps us interested and involved!
incredibly knowledgable w. subject matter and and excellent lecturer but course itself was difficult. LOTS of material to cover and exams are pure hell.
He has unreasonable exam requirements. The course is a useful course just that the exam tactic of having to memorize a thick course kit to do well is insane and uneducational. We are not in high school we need to learn not "chew and pour and forget&q
THE BEST PROFFESSOR I'VE EVER HAVE!!
Totally overrated. If he's 'opening your eyes' with his courses, you've obviously not been out much.
He is one of the best prof. I have ever had. He is organaize, funny and knowlegeble. His online course website is so helpful and his TA Jo-Anne is mad funny great TA I have ever had! Take this course!
very clear & animated in his lectures. he has charizma that will keep most people interested. the material is rather boring & the course is basically regurgitation of the material. but he's a good professor.

This michael douglas impersonator is by far the worst prof ive ever had....witty and charming...I think not....repetitive course, with some of the dumbest most retarded exams ive ever written....
Course material is basic interaction stuff. I felt Kehoe's teaching style and demeanor were contrary to the objectives of the course material. He does not "walk the talk" and I found him incredibly condescending. It's sad to see such a non-analytical 'pop-culture' approach to communication at York.
both these courses have the most retarded tutorials. the exams are actually not that difficult, but you have to memorize everything word by word. both courses cover the same material, and both are BORING. plus, 3311 is internet-based lectures, and trust me, you won't watch more than 2 over the year.
the prof is okay but the TAs are not very clear or helpful. don't take this class. the case studies are difficult and dont make sense. the subject matter is interesting but the assignments have made this one of my most frustrating classes...
This Prof is very interesting & intelligent. He knows the material off the back of his hand. I enjoyed this course and the exam require a great deal of memorization, but they are fair. Overall, I recommend this course to others!
This was a great course, and Dalts is a great prof....I enjoyed Mr.Kehoe's lectures immensely and it was unfortunate that there was lack of interest cuz they were on fridays...but overall, i enjoyed it and i suggest others to take this course with him!
For a communication studies professor he sure doesn't know how to communicate well. He's mean, rude and quick-tempered. His slide show lectures are a waste of time. Instead of having him as a prof. the university should pay someone to press a button. His lecture material is not well-researched.
very interesting course, lectures were entertaining and tutorial discussions were good.
this guy should be hosting a game show, hes in the wrong business
I think Prof. Kehoe is a great prof! He never once read off of his notes, and although he was quite fond of the slideshows, he knew his material inside out. I found him to be smart, funny and just a nice person. I would recommend this class.
Uses real life examples to illustrate his lectures. He acknowledges his inability to speak slowly, which is why he provides lecture slides beforehand. Amusing, entertaining, and always has a story to tell. Breaks lecture into 3 20 minute segments so you're not too restless. Tutorials do not augment the lectures, serves to add marks for attendance.
great lectures
Prof Kehoe is the best prof I've ever had. He knows his stuff and makes it interesting to hear it. Also, it helps that he's super hot!!
i dunno why people think he's hot, hes really not! Ok prof tho
Hes an Amazing Prof. Has all of his lectures on his website, typed and recorded!!! talks right off of his slides and the text for the class, which he writes himself, is exactly to the point. very useful. easy and enjoyable class. Took 3311 just cuz he was the prof.
Great Prof, Great notes, Great Lectures!!!!
Hes the best!
WICKED teacher!!!!! so much fun to learn from, he really knows how to teach and be heard
I took his second year class and loved him so much, I took his third year class as well. YOU KNOW I will be taking his fourth year too!
Professor Kehoe is an amazing professor. He has ALOT knowledge and experience in the communications field. His lectures are amazing, reviews are really helpful, he is simply on of the best prof's York has. If you have a course with him consider yourself lucky and expect to leave his class with real life and practical knowledge.
cool prof...cool course
Kehoe is a fantastic prof! He finds ways to grasp your attention, explains things really clearly and is very knowledgeable in his field. His comedy breaks and fantastic lectures more than make up for a somewhat disorganized syllabus. It's apparent that he not only loves his subject matter but also adores teaching. Fabulous prof!
dalton is great! he uses the internet and technology in the more efficient way possible. he is very enjoyable and understands students. the entire course can be acccessed online and everything is so concise and clear in his lectures, notes, online course website and with any of his instructions. it was a pleasure being his student. very innovative,
awesome =D!
Energetic Professor great use to technology to assist lectures entertaining and clear teaching style
Good prof. very clear. Has a lot of experience in the field (even if it didn't work for him)work load is Good (when i mean good i mean minimal). Course is very practical and is a lot of fun. For exams, disregard the writing limit and write as much as you can!
Truly one of the best profs at york. You can't go wrong with this course great prof + material. The readings are straight forward and you'll take so much of what you learn and be able to apply it to life. You can tell that this is a prof that really cares about his students
Kehoe was one of the more entertaining profs I have had. He knows his stuff and doesnt just read off the slides. His lectures correspond quite well with the readings (the selected readings book was a little less relevant). The class was interesting and useful in real life but I found Kehoe a bit condescending and arrogant at times.
He is a great professor! Lectures are very helpful in relation to the courses assignments and exams, his enthusiasm makes lectures enjoyable to watch
Very entertaining to watch. Lectures are well thought out and exam reviews are very helpful. One of the best Profs I've had at York. Listen to the lectures each week and attend tutorials and you will do well.
Great prof keeps you engaged, enjoyable to watch. Really understands people and just wants to help you succeed. I recommend this class plus 2311.
Best course i have taken in York U so far ..He is a great professor! His lectures are enjoyable to watch! reasonable amount of readings and course work !!! highly recommended!
Didn't watch any lectures or readings. Although I highly recommend doing them, you'll do just fine if you spend AT LEAST one week to do the review lecture.
I didn't watch the lectures as much as I should as they were online, but whenever I did I really enjoyed them. I think Prof. Kehoe is a great lecturer, makes good use of technology to help his teaching, he's very specific with exams and assignments, and he's just fun to watch. Keep it up Kehoe!
He is a really good lecturer, always gives multiple examples to make remembering easy & it also keeps the class entertained. i took the online course and for a first time i thoroughly enjoyed it. Powerpoiints were very clear. and the review for midterm and final is extremely helpful. assignments and exams are straightforward no trick questions.
You learn SO much from this class. All so interesting, but be prepared because it is definitely not a bird course. Professor Kehoe is very clear in his lectures using many examples which make it easier to follow along. This class made me realize that I did good by choosing Communications as one of my major. Thanks for a great year!
This is a good course, very relevant for preparing students for work in large organizations. But the TA I had was pretty bad, she was nice and all but wouldn't stop talking about her personal life and medical problems. Going to tutorial was useless, but would have made the course so much better if the TA was more professional.
A little too much to read sometimes, but otherwise good.
Really good prof...he doesn't throw you any curve balls for the exams. He is clear and precise...his TA's are really good too..I am an Econ Major and this was my elective and I loved it...so you can try it too!
I love this course.i have learned so much through out the year,it is helpful in your real world as well.. GREAT GREAT Professor but the TA's are even greater. They all very help full.Exams are easy and he pretty much prepares you for the exam, nothing on the exam is a SHOCK..i hope everyone who has to take an elective...please take Comn2311 :)
All of Kehoe's lectures are online so the only time you see him in person is at the exam. His class (Comn in Organizations) is straightforward, but the information is dry because it is so practical. The assignments are dull as they have very specific requirements, and it is hard to think outside the box. It kind of takes the spirit out of academia
The material is really practical and useful but quite dry to learn about. Prof Kehoe is really clear tho and really makes you understand. I'm not the biggest fan of online lectures but despite this he was still okay to listen to.Keep up with the lectures and you'll do fine. The assignments were a little confusing but there aren't so many.
It was my second time taking a course with him. Both courses are very interesting ( 2211 and 3311) and applicable to real lfe experiences. His lectures are very interesting and inspirational. I found online lectures better vs traditional. Testing was fair and st8 forward! Great Job!!!Just follow guidelines and you will be fine!!!choose Pinter 4 TA
Its a good course the TA are amazing they bring light into the course the only down side is that the exam is stuffed full of information and should at least lighten the tone but other than that every thing is really good the assignments are easy if you give your self enough time
Everything he says is on exam. MEMORIZEEE
Never see him because it online but a great guy. very easy to communicate and extremely understanding
Good professor, very intelligent. His method of lecturing is great - very concise. Although there is a lot to remember for the exam, he does tell you exactly what you need to know, i.e. what to memorize for short answer, what to concepts to understand for the essays. Overall I liked the course, it is really interesting. You can use this course IRL.
I took both 2311 and 3311 with Kehoe. He is a great prof! The exams were fair, he gave on the review lecture all the concepts we had to learn for the exam. Tips for success: watch the lectures, go to tutorials, give yourself time for writing essays (2311 - 4 essays during the year, 3311 - 3 essays) and you will get a good mark.
Took all three courses Dalton lectured and loved all of them. He makes the material clear in a fun way. There is a lot of content and the exams are hard, but if you memorize everything from his exam review, you'll get an A no problem. The 3 courses I had with Kehoe were prob the only useful courses i took at york.
Dalton's a great prof! Course material is very helpful in work situations. There needs to be more time to write his lengthy exams. I would also recommend that the powerpoint slides be updated to match the lecture slides. Printing out material that isn't covered in the lecture is just a waste of ink and paper. Again, it's a great course! Take it!
Online lectures and professor was good, but lots of memorization
Although he sometimes talks too fast, Dalton is an amazing professor! The course material is very helpful and useful in everyday situations. However, there needs to be more time when writing quizes and exams- too much to write in so little time!
Well-spoken, even though he talks a little too fast. Didn't really know the much about him, since it was an online course. Although, very passionate and you learn a lot from him!
Great course! Professor Kehoe is extremely passionate about his work and although it is an online course, himself and the TA's are readily available for assistance. Lectures are very clear and exams require lots of memorization.
I thoroughly enjoyed COMN 2311, Kehoe's online lectures we well organized and interesting. Almost wish we could have had an actual lecture over the recorded ones. They did offer a little more flexibility to my schedule though. Paired with actual tutorials, it's a great mix.
Great Professor and Great TA's. Fun and exciting class!
Course was alright. Prof was funny. Pretty interesting stuff on relationships and communication. Pretty hard exams though.
COMN2311 had online lectures, and in-class tutorials, the TAs were amazingly upbeat, so it was time well spent in tutorials. Also, Professor kehoe explained and was helpful in his lectures, slides, and exams. the required readings are long, but they are interesting.
This professor is very personable and the online lectures are actually very interesting and easy to listen to... Awesome job.
Amazing lecturer with great knowledge of the material. I highly recommend this class. The TA's make the class even more enjoyable!
amazng class ta and proff!!
good job :)
2311 is interesting to learn but tough to apply in real life. 3311 is more useful since it isn't as rooted in social psychology and helps in the workplace whether you're an employee or a CEO. Exam reviews are great in focusing the studying process. Prof is kind/understanding with deadlines. Tutorials are 'fun' but not always educational.
I have taken all of Dalton's courses.. They are all the best.. Online and tutorial.. Very clear and interesting topics.. Powerpoints are key and the book really helps.. Al exams are all memorization which is hard. but overall great prof and TA'S Joanne and Daggie.. Avoid Pinter tho
Professor Kehoe is amazing i strongly recommend this course. its very interesting and the prof makes it a fun learning experience. his teaching methods keep you interested and pulled in the lecture. TA joanne is also a fantastic TA and made my monday morning a lot easier to get through
Awesome Prof. Offers plenty of interesting examples despite the dry course material. Clear and very organized. Passionate about what he does.
Good prof, very enthusiastic. Extremely hard exams. Lectures and readings are a must!!
somewhat difficult to understand most times. online lecture examples are out-dated and need to be more recent. definitely enthusiastic about what he does. he doesn't seem genuine in caring about his students. he should pop into a tutorial at least once during the year if he really did care. he needs to slow down when he speaks.
Amazing prof. Amazing course. The online component is extremely beneficial especially with the review lectures that let you know exactly what you need to study. Also, the concepts in the course are extremely practical and can be applied in real life. As cheesy as it sounds, I became a better person from this course! THANK YOU!
I really loved this class. Professor Kehoe puts a lot of effort into being straight forward about what he expects, and his lectures are well organized with a high level of clarity. I also appreciated his enthusiasm and love for this field. It was very motivating.
The online component was very convenient and helped me manage my growing work load by not having a set lecture time. Watching the lectures is VERY important. The textbooks are useless. The recording of the lectures moves as he walks which sucked. His exams are hard. But Kehoe as a prof was great! Both his 2111 and 3111 courses are recommended :)
Great professor and TAs! This class was interesting and well organized! Keep it up! :)
Course is good, pretty clear as to what is expected. YOU have to attend tutorial and watch lectures to improve grade (they apparently know who's consistent in watching) Course seems easy but marking is hard.Dalton is good but needs to slow down.
Great prof, very clear lectures, enthusiastic about topics, great examples, exams were very fair as he told you exactly what to study before hand
Professor Dalton provides an interactive/hybrid learning experience that blends online lectures and in class tutorials, which for the modern student, is quite refreshing. Though,it can be perceived as undervalued in regards to what the student pays for this course and books. Soon our whole life will be lived and learned through some sort of screen.
A blended course that was amazing and quite new to me. He was vigilante in keeping us uptodate through his website. He was funny and probably one of the best speakers I ever heard in my four years. The tutorial leaders were amazing, and extremely helpful. And if you have space to take an extra course, this is the one!
Dalton is amazing. This course is so useful, and interesting. Even though it was online it was the best class I had this year. TAKE THIS CLASS! Just amazing. And it doesn't hurt that Dalton is the classic "hot professor."
Enjoyed this course so much that my only was that it was an entire year. Great professor!
I did not enjoy this course as much as COMN 3111 as there was a lot of 'psychology' material in it. It also felt crammed compared to 3111. Nevetheless, Prof. Kehoe provided an easy to access course with material that is very relevant to my workplaces today!
good prof
Had him last year in COMN 2111 and that was easy. This year all the third year COMN courses became 3 credits. Way too crammed. You have to do an online test and only have 15 minutes to do it and theres 15 questions. Next time try not making the questions a page long. Takes you 2 minutes just to read 1 question. Terrible.
Worst. Poor communication skills. Save your money and don't buy the textbook!
horrible, they really need to change the time limit on these tests... 15 mins for a 20 question quiz.. it should be at least 30mins so we can relax and slow down and think about the questions.... other than that its a pretty boring course
All courses taught by Kehoe are very useful for those who are planing to work in organizations and who are majoring in business. I learned lots of useful things from his courses. I took 3 of them. And if you will keep up with the lectures you will do good. Textbook is not needed for his courses because all info is on slides.
Extremely confusing assignments. The quiz was 20 questions in 15 minutes for 3112 an in 3111 was 15 minutes for 15 questions. Way too crammed and high pressure. The lectures were okay, he clarified some things but tended to ramble. I found the text to be confusing and didn't really help.
Interesting professor. Expectations clear. Tough to study for exams because he wants full memorization of content. Timed Quiz is highly unfair. Set up to fail when you have to answer 25 questions in 15 minutes. Exams are long and are based on case studies. Online course but never drops in to check on students. Only take the course if its required.
Not the type of quality education we should be getting from York. The online lectures are an interesting idea, but they're terribly executed. The website looks like something out of a 90's sitcom and video-lectures are bad quality. It's almost as if the course is designed this way - not to enhance learning - but to make his job as a prof. easier.
Wasn't too bad but i did not find the class to organized. getting grades is tough for sure!!!!!
He gives really good lectures, they are easy to follow and he makes funny comments or jokes that keep you interested. The lectures are not too long and come in sections so if you do need a short bathroom break or food or just stepping away, there is opportunity to do so.
Amazing course. This was an online class but with a tutorial which made is a little easier. He is a great prof and the lectures are broken up into different parts so they are easy to watch. He uses a mix of videos as well in his lectures and makes the lectures interesting. Only 1 quiz in the course and 2 essays and then the exams. Loved this class.
The class is blended, so the lectures are online and virtually make you feel like you are in class. If the quality of the videos were better, they'd be perfect. Tutorials are okay, not very productive but still a good experience. I learned quite a bit, it's not a difficult course, and keeping with the lectures is probably the best way to get an A.
A lot of memorizing is required for this prof. You will have to memorize things word for word to get an A on the exam.
The professor explain into great detail the course material, in a way that not only inspires to learn more, but also allows the student to understand the material to the point where studying becomes more a review, and knowledge from the course becomes everyday knowledge. However, is important to note that the text book and attendance help as well.
Kehoe's class are great because first of all it's online, secondly the notes are provided for you and thirdly the T.A (Dagmara) goes in detail about certain topics and clarifies any question you have. One thing that is annoying is the online lecture on Youtube because sometimes the sound gets distorted. Also, be ready to memorize for the exam!
Don't take COMN 211 class. The TAs are hard makers for no reason. if you don't have anything memorized for the exam, you will not get a good mark. Seriously, for the first exam, everyone failed. The highest mark was 60. Do not take the class. Especially, if you want for your elective. The class sounds easy and it should be, But they make it hard.
I'll be real here: took these courses to make my schedule lighter (as it only requires 1 hour for a tutorial - and there are many time slots to choose from). LOTS of memorization required for quizzes and the final exam, but he basically tells you exactly what to study for the exam. The quality of the online lectures and PPTs def needs improvement.
The duration of the exams is shorter than expected.
This was one of the best courses I have ever taken! I learned so much about the human mind and our interactions. Lectures are so relatable and enjoyable. It helped me understand why we behave the way we do, making me an even better understanding human being. All I have to say is, prof Kehoe and Dagmara (TA) are the best and ridiculously hilarious!
I took Dr. kehoe classes a few years back. He is a great educator, though the duration of the exams was always short. However he has the most horrible TA, now forgot her name, is an older woman, she laughs all the time, treats the students nicely until the submission of the educators rating forms, afterward, she becomes rude, and hard marker.
THIS COURSE IS HORRIBLE. PROFESSOR KEHOE MAKES YOU BUY HIS OWN WRITTEN BOOKS THAT ARE SUPER EXPENSIVE THAT ARE VERY CONFUSING AND WASTE OF READING. THE TUTORIAL CLASS IS HORRIBLE. NEVER AGAIN WILL I TAKE A COURSE LIKE THIS.
I took this course since there weren't any 6 credit courses that matched my timings. The TA leaders are very nice. Overall the course is really content-heavy.
The course is blended with in-class tutorials. Overall the course is pretty basic but it's really hard to reach the prof and TA's. It's been 2 weeks since the final grade update deadline and the grades still haven't been posted.
Great course that helps you learn alot about effective communication. Lectures are interesting and real world applicable. Tutorials with Dagmara are helpful to understand the key concepts and do well on assignments.
