Do the homework and test reviews and show up to class and you will probably do well. He sometimes gave bonus points for completing 100% of the homework instead of the required 80%.

Out of 3 math professors I've had professor McDaniel has been the best at teaching. His lectures are easy to understand and answers your questions respectfully and doesn't move on unless everyone understand the subject. Great professor just wish he would teach Calc 1 and 2. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Whatever you do. DO NOT TAKE HIS MATH 1342 ONLINE! I understand that summer/online math classes include a ton of work. The professor didn't upload things on time, lacked communication and clarification! Please, I'm begging you to steer clear from this class. It was by far the MOST frustrating thing I've ever done and 100% WOULD NOT do it again!!

My BEST math professor to date! He truly cares about your success and his lectures are phenomenal and so easy to understand. Math is not my best subject but he made me feel confident and excited to learn. I'm so grateful to have taken him for my Business Math course and would definitely take him again!

His lectures are very thorough and explanatory! I suck at math and was so scared to take this course, but surprisingly I learned a lot! I never thought I could understand such topics so well but this professor is a genius. As long as you study you will pass! The tests are just like the homework but with different names and numbers :)

I am someone who struggles significantly in math courses but Professor McDaniel is a gem. He has helped me so much through emails and in person and has really made learning pre-cal quite enjoyable. If i could take him for every future math course I would. And he gives extra credit opportunities that help a ton! The wording is limited but TAKE HIM!!

Professor McDaniel is one email away if you need anything. Do not feel intimidated because he is there to help in any way! His video lectures go over the worksheets, which help a lot with the quizzes, tests, and homework. You will need the online textbook, not for reading, but for MML homework. Great class!

Took this as a mini-semester in the summer, which makes it even more intimidating. Thankful for this professor.

The class is very simple as long you keep up with the work.. All tests and quizzes are based off your notes!

Been out of college for almost 10 years. Decided to go back to pursue a different degree. I have a full time job and 2 kids. Took a 5 week course. Was a lot of work and difficult at times, but stay focused and put the time in and you will succeed. Also DO THE EXTRA CREDIT! Can change your average a whole letter grade. Great professor!

I took this class online during the summer. The professor gives many opportunities to earn extra credit. This course has homework, quizzes, exams, and a final.

I took his summer online math class, at first I was nervous because it was very fast paced but professor Damon did a great job in his lecture videos explaining and working out examples. He was quick when responding to emails and very understanding. I highly recommend this professor if you want to truly understand and enjoy your math class.

Professor McDaniel is a really good teacher. He goes over questions and teaches techniques on how to solve them. Easy to understand. There are 4 exams which are very straight forward, and he gives a few days to turn them in. I liked this because you didn't have to sit down and devote a few hours to an exam and could spread it out over the days.

This was one of the best professors ive had so far. Extremely organized has notes premade for you to follow along. Online videos of each lecture in case you miss class or need to review material you didnt fully grasp in class. The test are fair and he does a good job prepping you for the test. Plus open note quizzes. He cares about you learning!

He's a very great and organized professor. He provides extra credit for exams, but I didn't need it. Textbook is not required and his lectures are on YouTube (unlisted). Fixes his mistakes. I felt so bad at the end of the semester when he sent an email to us saying, "I know. . .you'll be glad to never hear me talk again." Who told him that?! >:(

I was worried before going into this class as everyone warned me that Pre-Cal is difficult to pick up in a short period of time, however I was quickly proven otherwise. Prof. McDaniel is extremely organized and explains/teaches very well in his lecture videos. He gives many opportunities to gain bonus points, I'm so glad I took his cource.10/10!

Professor McDaniel is a great example of a professor who teaches the topic clearly, helps when needed, and sets very clear expectations. I took his evening finite math class at 6pm. He records lectures in case you can't make it. If you're an adult with a full time job, he gets it. No hand holding, but also no unnecessary added difficulties.

Great Professor! I highly recommend! Just completed a Winter mini-mester. He was precise, consistent with grading, graded very quickly (sometimes the very next day). Clear in his expectations. Class was difficult but I'm terrible at math and still made a good grade.

I took the 3 week winter mini and it was the best choice I ever made. His class is super straightforward and easy. Notes for the video lessons were our homework so you're basically forced to watched the material and know what you're doing. He grades the day after the assignment is due. Responds to emails quick. Quiz and tests have no time limits.

Professor McDaniel was amazing. Class was pretty easy. He provides YouTube videos for all class material. It was time consuming because it was a 3 week mini class. He is pretty fast on returning grades and fast response if you have a questions.

Great professor, very clear and organized. It is a lot of work but as long as you stay on top of it it's okay. You are able to work ahead on the homework but not the quizzes or exams until the week of. Its a lot of info but just paying attention to the videos. I took the 3 week mini-mester over the holidays and it was manageable. :)

As long as you print out the worksheets and show up to class (attendance is not taken), it's an easy A. Great at helping if you do not understand a topic. Do NOT miss any homework, NO retakes after the due date on MyMathLab. Not super strict grading, just follow the lectures. Tests reflect lectures NOT MML. Open Note tests, but closed note exams.

Professor McDaniel takes the time to go over the material in a way you understand rather than following the book for everything. The homework was the usual Pearson and sometimes could be tedious but that's expected. Quiz days are meant for questions which I highly enjoyed and exams are similar to the quiz which makes for an easy study guide.

Prof McDaniel was the best! He was always available outside of class and would explain things if I didn't understand and responded almost immediately. He gives opportunities for extra credit which is great. He does videos explaining how to solve the problems in MML which is super helpful. I was scared about taking math online but he made it easy!

Honestly a really good professor I had a terrible algebra teacher and this guy was the complete opposite lectures were really clear and the lectures are recorded so I could go back and study before tests. Very chill and understanding teacher would take him if I needed any of the required credits

Proffesor Damon was awesome! He's always clear and concise. You can tell he really cares about what he does. Try not to miss class because it's hard to figure the content out on your own.

Probably my favorite professor I've had so far. Cares about his students, gives extra credit when needed, gives excellent lectures and is happy to answer any questions you may have, and posts lectures online in case you weren't able to make it. If I find he is teaching any of my next math classes I would happily take him again.

I was very impressed by how straight forward and easy to comprehend lectures were. This is my second time taking precalculus and i can tell you from experience it will be difficult to fail with this professor. No over explaining and everything is accessible online if you were not there for lecture. No surprises on tests. Genuinely caring professor.

The professor is very responsive and supportive, I always received help when I had questions. The examples provided were clear and very similar to the homework and exam problems, which made studying much easier. The course was well-organized and easy to follow, even though I hadn't taken mathematics in a long time. Great learning experience.

A six-week calculus class is never going to be easy, but Professor McDaniel did an excellent job. He was great at providing feedback and reviewing the material a full day before our tests. This class requires dedication, and I'm sure having a full semester with him would be a great decision! Since it is calculus you will have to put in work.

Pretty good professor

Great professor overall. Calculus is NOT an easy subject but I managed to get through it in 6 weeks with this professor. Be ready to put in the work to receive the grade you want. Be ready to study a lot. I recommend studying the quizzes he gives out before exams. As I personally found the ALEKS homework problems harder.

His lectures are amazing, and super easy to understand. He gave us extra credit for each unit. A decent amount of homework, but it wasn't anything that was overbearing. He answers questions to the best of his ability and informs you when hes available after lectures for any other questions or problems you might have in the class.

Excellent professor. Teaching style is near perfect, with 4 extra credit assignments for 3 pts on a exam each. Always offering help, also offers time to visit in office if you're struggling. Keep homework done on time and don't miss any class or assignments and you cannot fail this class. He is also very kind. And you can use notecards on quizzes.

Professor McDaniel cares about his students. the lectures were normal, but his patience with me while i asked all sorts of questions was outstanding. He took the time to explain to me the why's and what's behind each question, no matter how silly or trivial my questions may have seemed to an experienced mathematician

One of the best math professors I've ever had! He gives out extra credit for every unit and lets you use a notecard on the exam. He has a great style of teaching that lets you pick up the material quickly. He's very helpful if you don't understand something as well!
