Fun guy, don't have to take notes because he puts the powerpoints on BB, gives alot of extra credit, only homework is the ePDP which is only a page, just an easy one credit hour class. Tests are kind of difficult.

He always says that since this is a 1 credit hour class, he doesn't think we should have to try as hard as we would in a 3 hour one, so tests are online and open book so we don't have to go to a lab to take it. This class is a breeze if you just GO. Attendance is a huge part (10%) of your grade, and he covers all the material in class - even pointing out exactly what will be on the test. He has review sessions and really makes sure you understanding everything. He's funny and nice.

Dan was very straightforward. He lets you use PowerPoints, notes, and buddies for tests and he is extremely helpful and nice. He makes Personal Finance interesting and connects it to everyday life. I took this as a summer course and he bought the whole class pizza every Friday! Dan is awesome!

Dan is absolutely amazing! I still have about 3 semesters to go, but this has been by far the best class I've taken at Ball State. It is so useful and relevant. He'll meet with you outside of class hours if you need extra help. Effort mainly consists of paying attention in class and following syllabus. I ended up getting an A+!

His class is very easy and informative. All you have to do is follow his instructions (which are always very clear) and you will be good. Also, he is very quick at responding to your emails, despite having so many students each semesters.

I took this class at 8am so I was tired but he still would grab my attention. He is very informative and very helpful. He’ll see how a class is doing and see how he can help them. The homework assignments are easy, while the tests are a bit hard but most are on BB.

Amazing lectures. You will love his class. Its only once a week but you will look forward to it every time. Once you get 900 points in the class, which is very very easy to do, you get an A+ and don't even have to come to class anymore. There were a few people in my class done 2 weeks before the final. You don't need the book.

DO THE EXTRA CREDIT! It seriously saved me. I got pretty average tests scores but he lets you skip the final if you have a high enough amount of points and due to all of the extra credit, I got to skip the last 2 weeks of class and the final. He is a good teacher if you sit there quietly and pay attention, but when he mentions he will take 100 points off your grade for being disruptive, he is serious. Basically, stay quiet and do the assignments and extra credit and your grade is an easy A.

He goes through his PP really fast, so print out the slides ahead of time. He has some rules that he doesn't compromise on, but he is also very understanding and helpful if you talk to him. Boylan is a great guy. He knows that his class is likely not high on your list of importance, so he really tries to keep it simple and easy. Just strive to earn all of the extra credit he gives, this way you can get an A with a C average on your tests.

Easiest class I've ever taken. Show up to class and you will get an A. He gives out so much extra credit, it was possible to have a 200% up until the midterm. Assignments take 5 minutes and are almost guaranteed 100s. Tests are pretty easy, but with all the extra credit they're nothing to stress over. I didn't even have to take the final.

Such a nice guy and the easiest class I've had to take at Ball State. He explained concepts in a way that everyone could understand. Stay off your phone, pay attention, and take advantage of all the extra credit opportunities and you'll be good to go.

Dr. Boylan is very helpful. He will stay as late as needed to help a student. He communicates very well that you don't have to guess anything like most teachers. Big class is a distraction. It was annoying when students from other classes would interrupt class to ask for help as they said their teacher just yells at them.

Boylan will always offer extra credit, if you ask for it. READ THE SYLLABUS, because he offers some extra credit from there sometimes. He emails you every week, so make sure you check it. He assigns one paper (minimum of 1000 words), but it's really easy and all about you ( I got a perfect score).
