Definitely the more fun of the science classes I've had to take. Professor cares about the class and does his best to keep it interesting and fun. You do have to study some, but the tests are more than fair.

Cares about students like none other! But go to class, it really does help. Tests are easy if you read the book AND study your notes. Awesome guy; always was available whenever I had a question.

Ok ok ok...I will level with you. I suck at science and made an A in this class....very funny and brings funny emails like videos to entertain the class...great guy...gets offended if you leavd in the middle of class but honest and nice.

Dr. B's goal is for everyone to get an A and he makes it so easy for you. Anyone who doesn't get at least a B is stupid. Just read the text, show up to class, and DO THE ONLINE QUIZZES! Test questions come word for word from these things - you'll get an A

Dr. Bruton is probably the best professor I have had at SFA! He is funny and is very clear. He lectures pretty much to the test...just take the online quizzes and do the small hmwk and you will do fine....I hated the lab! It was boring except night lab.

Good teacher, highly recommended. He will help you with extra credit and practice tests. Take him without worry.

I freakin' loved this class! I suck at all things science and still pulled off a B because he is just too interesting! Loved the little videos before class, loved the jokes, loved the Star Trek references!! This guy is awesome! TAKE HIM!

I love his class! He is a very good professor and he would help you if you do not uderstand something in class. If you pay attention in class you will do good in the tests. You do not need to read. He is the best professor I have!

I expected it to be easy, but it was not. I hear that he is the best professor to take for the class, but don't go into it thinking that it will be a blow off.

He's a great teacher! He likes what he does, and he wants you to like it also. He tries to make it easier than the book has it. He doesn't want it to be complicated. Be sure to go to class; otherwise, you will miss out on the attendance grade. He wants to help you as much as possible.

this is the best teacher i've had in high school or college. his excitement about engineering and physics is contagious, and he is always eager to help you understand the material anyway he can. the tests and projects are tough but fair.

great teacher, gives back to back homework, but is usually pretty laid back about the due dates. usually about a week per assignment. has been known to forget due dates though! but he definitely has been my favorite teacher this year!

He's a good teacher. However, he sometimes goes too fast. But just ask him to slow down and he will.

Excellent teacher! take him immediately! very clear, classes can be challengeing, but not incredibly hard. cracks some good jokes every now and then...still a great teacher! would take him again any time!

He is a good teacher his test are hard you have to read the book and take online quizes to pass test and be parpared the wording on test can trip you up.

great teacher makes everything clear. the only thing that i did not like was the fact that he would slow the class down to a stop for people that didn't have the background to be in there. ________My feeling is that you should let the stupid people suffer!

The best teacher I've had!!! Great!!! He's very enthusiastic about astronomy and loves to teach! The only homework are the online quizzes and they aren't even graded! they are just to study for tests! TAKE HIM!!!

He is a wonderful teacher, very helpful, explanatory and funny too. If you ever have the oppurtunity to spend just 5mins with him, you'll understand how great he is. He is a wonderful motivator too, he'll make you believe in yourself if you ever in doubt.

Great teacher, very lively! It's an interesting class aside from some topics being too in depth! I studied my butt off, reading the chapters, doing online quizzes, reading over powerpoint lectures and still got a C!!! But you definitely get the grade you earn!

Dr. Bruton is a great Astronomy professor. He really knows what he's talking about, and he explains everything so well! If there's something you dont understand he is more than happy to explain it to you. He encourages every question. He also likes to have a laugh or two before class so he plays some funny five minute movies to get warmed up.

I had Dr. Dan in a previous Physics class, and when I decided to take Ast, I wasn't going to take it with ANY other prof. He is great, loves to answer questions, and will email you back at 3:30 in the morning if he needs to! I recommend him to everyone!!

Dr. Bruton is cool as****.When i signed up for AST i figured it would suck but he really got me interested. There isnt any homework but the tests are kind of hard. He makes you laugh with his nerdy jokes and he truly knows what he is talking about. The class isnt easy but i got a C and i didnt take notes or buy the book.

I really enjoyed being in Dr.B's class. He explains things very thoroughly. His tests were kinda hard for me, but I don't like Physics (mental block!). He has a dry sense of humor and can be very funny. He loves this subject and knows it inside and out. GREAT PROF!

He is great and so smart!!! This is a physics class for teachers!!! His lectures are interesting!!! I wasn't too crazy about physics going into it, but he has great ways of explaining things!!! If you are 4-8 math, i would def reccomend this class just b/c alot of stuff you use as i would any other elem ed major!!!

I had Dr. Bruton approximately 11 years ago. He explained concepts so well that I can still easily remember and explain to others thermonuclear fusion, all of the wavelenghts given off by the sun (including ROY G BIV) and synchronous rotation.

Dr. Bruton's the man to take for Physics 101. He takes time to explain things clearly and shows numerous demonstrations. He's also a very kind man and is willing to help. I made an arrangement with him for honors credit, and he was very accomodating. Sometimes lectures were boring, but read the book (short chapters), and you'll do fine. I got an A.

Great asset to SFA one of the best teachers on campus. The questions are straight for the book, which is where the all of the homework questions come from as well.

Great teacher. very easy to understand and makes class intresting. He is kind of a dork but he's pretty funny. just go to class and you're pretty much guarenteed to pass. The homework is online and at max, there are maybe 20 questions. Highly recomendable

LOVED dr. b!! he's sooo corny, and it's kind of sad how lame his jokes are, but it makes the class fun. lots of demos! be on time... he won't get mad cuz he's nice, but you can tell he really hates it when people walk in late. show up every day for clicker q's, listen, read the chapters before the test and it's an easy A!

Dr. B is an amazing person and friend ! I have worked closely with him in astronomy ( as in me and 2 other friends) doing asteroid research. Fun the whole time making seinfeld jokes hahah, Dr. B you rock ! We even played live music at his house !!!

Great class! Lots of note taking from slideshow. Dr. B has a great sense of humor and is over all a very pleasant professor. Come to class on time and answer the clicker questions. Most of the test questions come directly from the online homework. Study and you're sure to pass.

Dr. B is the best professor EVER! Everyone should take him for astronomy because he is amazing. He is really helpful and explains things very well. His powerpoints are filled with lots of pictures, videos, and sounds, so if youre a visual learner, that's a plus. Dr. B also tells a lot of nerdy jokes that are actually pretty funny.

To begin with Astronomy is a hard class, very interesting but way more then just the sun, moon, and stars. But Dr. B is the best Prof. you can take for the subject, makes the material very clear and when it comes to the boring stuff makes it intersting... if your taking astronomy take Dr.B

this class is fun and engaging. he explains things pretty clearly and its easy for me to pay attention in here(i have trouble paying attention in other classes). he puts you in teams and you do some team work, but he assigns everyone a specific task so you're not stuck doing all the work. he's funny and helpful and a great guy in general.

Dr. B is deffinatly the best teacher I've had at SFA so far. I'm not a physics or astronomy major and I was very nervous taking the class at first. However, he really made Astronomy interesting, exciting and made you WANT to come to class and learn. His tests are pretty easy. Study your homework and USE mastering astronomy! It will help you pass!!

I loved this class! He dont really need to come to class to pass because all the homework is online. He gives opportunity for extra credit but the class in general is extremely easy because hes so fun and easy to understand. Hes so nice and helpful and likes making corny jokes. lol TAKE HIM! HES THE BEST :)

If you need to take a science course, TAKE ASTRONOMY 105 WITH DR. BRUTON!! As long as you do the hw assignments, study the questions from Mastering Astronomy, and skim over the book a little bit, you'll do good on the tests (make sure you bring your clicker to class too!). He's an awesome teacher and I wish he taught ALL of my required courses.

Excellent teacher. Fun and interesting with a good sense of humor and a real passion for what he's doing. If you go to sleep in Bruton's class, it's your own fault--it's certainly not the presentation.

One of the best teacher I have had. He does a great job at helping everyone understand. Almost impossible to fail this class, and the he does most of the homework in class all you have to do is be there and turn your work in online. Class was always interesting and easy to follow along.

He is very fair in that if you go to his office hours hes there and will help you as long as you understand whats going on and has been going on in the semester. He does most of the homework in class and will leave problems like what was done in class for you to o on your own. He tells corny jokes that help keep people awake.

Great teacher but hard classes. Had him multiple times for different classes and he was a great guy every time.

His lectures always go hand-in-hand with the homework that he assigns and most of the time he provides videos to help with homework questions. A wonderful professor! Study the reviews and practice homework problems and the tests should not be hard.

Dr. Bruton is the best professor I've had in my college experience. He is very organized, and professional. Has a sign in sheet for lectures, but nobody wants to miss class because his lectures are amazing. He will bring in different props to show, and tries to be funny. Tests are similar to homework, the book is an easy read. Has extra credit opp.

Took Dr. B for 111&112. Best Prof Ever! Engaging lectures, actually fun, minimal, homework. Has reviews very similar to every test. Group project for 112, super easy. Its hard to fail his class. Very intelligent professor who really cares about his students. He is also the advisor for EGR so go to him for everything and anything! He's just the best

Bruton is awesome, but Astronomy is a very hard class. He's very nice and helpful, and responds quick to emails. He tries to make it as simple as possible. READ THE TEXTBOOK to study for tests; this cannot be stressed enough. Most people who do bad in his class do not read the textbook because that's where most of the test material comes from.

Amazing professor. Clear in lectures and does lots of class activities . Very caring and inviting as a person in general. Exams very easy if you pay attention in class or rewatch lectures. I struggled in the prerequisite class, Linear Circuits, so I thought the follow up class would kick my butt, but thanks to Dr. Bruton I aced it.

He is one of those professors you wish he taught every class for your degree path.

Bruton is the man, if you are a decent person you will love him. He can be a little forgetful sometimes, like he's thinking about something else while he is lecturing, but even then he is great!

Bruton is great - he connects with students well. While he can get distracted, his lectures are still worth attending. Combine the textbook with tools like Unstuck ai, and you'll be set up for success.
