I love this man. If I could I would take him every semester. I advise you to take him, but remember not to be late because he will shame you out!!!!!!!!

I am not sure on the course number, but I had fun in his class. The class becomes a circle of debators, even philosophers, for the next 50 minutes.

I wish all teachers had his enthusiasm for the subject they teach. Mr. Damerville, you should be on stage somewhere. You're such a performer. British Literature wouldn't have been fun without you.

Great teacher. BUT alway be on time or he'll call you out in front of class. He will also drop you from his class from too many tardies.

This man is an example of why teachers should be paid more...a lot more. He straight up raises the standard for teaching, even for "good" teachers. Very enjoyable experience, ATTEND CLASS and you WILL do fine. You won't regret taking this guy!

His class is easy as long as you COME ON TIME EVERY DAY with your work in hand. He hates lateness and he hates incomplete work. His class is fun, although he is a little crazy (in a good way). I recommend taking it for a fairly easy "A" if you are willing to do the work on time and come everyday.

Mr D challenged me to become a better writer by having us share our writings in class and read them ALOUD to each other. I think I have come a long way since knowing him and being in his class. He's a fair grader and always is helpful and positive unless you are late or miss too many classes. Thanks

Don't be late, act like an adult, and do your work (which isn't that much and is usually interesting) and you'll have fun and learn a lot. Enthusiastic, entertaining teacher!

AWESOME Teacher.... very very funny and fun.. not a lot of work. If you try to do well, he notices and lets you get away with certain things. Recommend him to anyone to take. He knows what he's talking about.

Damerville is a cool guy, if you are active in his classroom. He pushes you to want to do better.

i thought he was an excellent teacher and a very nice guy. he personally gets to know each of his students and has no problem helping them get the best grade they can get. i would defintely recommend him!

he's a good teacher. all the class consists of is journal assignments and papers. and there was no final exam, excpet a project we did way before exam days. so ive had a couple weeks off early because of him. Pretty easy!

i'll make it real short... this was my third time taking comp. and not because i'm not smart but because i'm lazy and uninterested in english(dropped first two times) but Mr. D makes the class fun and for that reason alone i suggest taking him i'm in his 1141 class this semester... and yes he's still wearing socks and sansals... YA HEARD!!!

He was a very good teacher. He was not only very thorough, but he actually seemed excited about everything. He wasn't boring at all and he is very helpful and laid back.

Mr. D loves what he does. He has a funny sence of humor and is a very nice guy. If you like English, this is a good class for you. He does take attendance though... every time.

This guy at first can seem very scary. But he's an awesome teacher. DO NOT GET ON HIS BAD SIDE!!! He will tear you apart like rice paper! Do your work and do what he says. i loved taking mr. damerville's class. all you have to do is go to class. the work is SIMPLE. plus he's just a fun/crazy guy and he absolutely LOVES teaching, which made the class even better.

Being a first time college sudent, I can say that Mr.Damerville was one of my best professors. He can be very aminated at times but thats cool, he likes to make learning fun. Very fun class and very straight foward teacher. Taught me alot of things, im a better student because of him!

Mr. Damerville is a great teacher. He can be a little intemidating at first. As long as you attend class and do the assignments you'll do fine in his class. He has a great personality...very funny/odd sense of humor. The assignments aren't hard. Don't get on his bad side. He's been known to tear students apart in front of the class.

Dan is the man, his grading can get a little tough but i managed A's on every paper. Show up, get your work done and you will do good. Very Cool guy to have as a teacher and gives you some great paper assignments. Definitely recommend to anyone for any class.

I had him for both enc 1101 and enc 1141 and he is by the man! Coolest guy at TCC. Come to class and show respect and he will return the favor for sure!! TAKE HIM!!! Serious at times but loves to have a good time and joke around. Give him a high five everday when you leave, and you'll get an A

It is really pretty easy if you do the reading and activities with a serious attempt to understand the literature. He provides valuable feedback. I loved the class and I will take him again.

He is a great teacher! He gives you HW every class period but it is really easy and as long as you do it you get credit for it. He is really strict on attendance but as long as you go and show that you want to do well he will be more then willing to help you. Your grade is 40% HW and 60% papers(there are 3). He is a funny guy. Take him!!

He's strict on the basics like attendance, but it makes for a more engaged class. Very enthusiastic and caring. He expects you to participate and do your best.

Mr. Damerville was a good teacher. He is a little bit over the top when it comes to attendance so I recommend not missing a single class. He assigns a lot of writing..plan on a hand cramp..he has 3 big papers (formal assignments) and a bunch of small papers (informal assignments). He does not require to get the text book. I would take him again!

I took this class online and loved it. He always had a personal response to my assignments and put a lot of humor into them. I always looked forward to seeing what he had to say about what I had written. The class requires a lot of reading but encourages creativeness, no answer or interpretation I had was considered wrong. Mr. Damerville is absolutely amazing!He has an incredible insight to everything we read.He gave us the texts and we used some from the book.He gives 3 larger writing assignments that are pretty easy and a few shorter ones that are basically to give students grades.The focus was on reading and having fun...just don't be late!

MR Damerville is,simply put, WONDERFUL.He loves teaching and you can clearly see it in class.He has the class rolling in laughter every single day.He is an older guy with the spirit of the people he's teaching.The only con is that he preaches that attendance is mandatory.But his class is so fun that you will not have a problem going to it.TAKE HIM!

Mr. Damerville loves to have fun in his class and keep people laughing, He is very helpful with writing papers, he'll give many ways to make it easy and effective. Never gives tests. Sometimes he will cancel class, but attendance is MANDATORY. Do well on the papers, all of the informal assignments, go to class, and you'll get a good grade.

Mr. Damerville has inspired me to continue college. If the system has in anyway led you to believe that learning cant be enjoyable then please take this man. I most recommend his mythology and british lit classes.

Wonderful teacher. Brit Lit and Mythology were so much fun! I took every class I could that he offered and have recommended him to friends and family. Wish all of my professors were as engaging as he is.

Mr. Damerville is the most passionate english eatcher I've ever had. He always keeps the class full of energy especially with his daily youtube videos. I love how he gets so into teaching and talking, time goes by quickly. His assignments are not hard. Just do them and youve got an A! I'm taking another course he teachers next semester!

Reminds me a LOT of my gifted program teachers from years ago. Wonderful speaker. Show up 5-10min EARLY! If you can do that one simple thing, you won't have any problem with the rest. Don't intentionally sit in the back..show some respect. Also, get a life and leave your cell in the car. Nothing related, just get sick of it in ALL my classes. Yup.

Damerville is the best teacher I have ever had! I have been in 3 of his classes and I will forever remember him him as "The" professor of my college career. Brilliant, wonderfully eccentric and kind person. You would be a lucky student to have him. For LIT2323 all you have to do is read the material, come to class and contribute. No exams No Final!

Mr. Damerville is an amazing teacher! Love, love, love him! He will take your random thoughts and teach you to be able to churn out essays like they are nothing. He is very adamant about attendance and punctuality. Do yourself a favor and set an alarm, come to class, and you will not only get an A, you'll actually learn something useful ;)

He talks the majority of the class, not too much work in class. A lot of informal essays, almost everyday but takes them mostly for completion. Hes entertaining and a cool guy. You cant miss a lot of class and he gets mad when your late. Overall a good teacher.

Excellent professor. Very Joseph Campbell-like. World Mythology is a great class for English or Humanities majors, or anyone who wants an in-depth understanding of Religion, History and Philosophy. The workload is minimal except for a few notes. However, buying/renting the textbook is MANDATORY in order to pass the class.

I really enjoyed this class! I am already a fan of mythology, but had never really read anything other than western myths. He does use the text a lot, but it's only $30 used! I loved the class, would take him again if he was teaching one of the classes I wanted to take!!! XD

I loved this teacher, made me actually like English and he really get to know each student. Don't be late he gets disappointed. Easy homework but he does give it alot, they take about 20 minutes tops and I got an A with no trouble. I am now taking another of his classes I liked him so much!

He lays the New Age hippie attitude on a little thick but his class is super easy if you show up on time and do the work. It's a shame he is going to be retiring soon.

Interesting class. Wonderful Professor, Mr. D is engaging and promotes good dicussions. Plays, short stories and poetry are covered. Homework for each class, three formal papers (One is a presentation). He likes you to be at class and on time. He is a wonderful Prof. Take him! He would fit right in courtside in Greece as an ancient philosopher!!

Mr. Damerville is a wonderful professor. He makes his class very interesting with great class discussion. As long as you attend class on time and do all assignments(which is usually every class meeting), you will pass with an A. He doesn't allow you to miss more than 2 classes, so GO TO CLASS AND BE ON TIME!!!! Highly recommended!

I took this class online. He loves what he does, he always responded to my papers with more analysis on the writer and suggestions for me. As long as you follow the guidelines and show that you put some thought into the assignments, you will pass this class fairly easy.

Multicultural Mythology is the best elective you can possibly take at TCC. This class was thought provoking but also provided a nice break from the rest of my very hectic schedule. You'd have to be wearing a helmet not to pass this class.

unlike most 1101 classes you only have 3 big papers, and they are not as difficult as the other classes either.He gives you a lot of time and course direction for them. But you do have small papers due every class. if your late he will lock you out. and he isnt clear when you ask about advice on your papers (ie what he thinks)

Very strict on attendence, very clear with his expectations and how to meet them, assignments are clear and well broken down. Great Professor, taking the second course offered by him next semester.

Not only is Damerville a great professor, but he's a great guy! He really tries to make class interesting and all of his assigments are extremely clear. Grading is rather consistent as well.

Online Course: Amazing professor,strict,and expects you to do your work. If you "try" literally...it's an easy A! Expect to write alot (that word is an understatement) throughout the semester! He is well organized and very clear with instructions. He grades pretty fast and replies to all of your work from a personal stand point! TAKE HIM!

He made it pretty easy and simple to pass this class. He clearly defined everything that needs to be done, and how to do it properly. He was demanding, but if you gave him the respect of doing your work promptly and correctly, he worked with you. Great teacher, great class.

I had Dr. Damerville years ago. He is absolutely one of the best and most compassionate professors I had. He called me out in a kind way to let me know he knew I could write better. He was so right. I had rushed but still got a good grade. He made me a better writer, which helped me in my univetsity graduate studies. Thank you, Dr. Damerville.
