I took mythology online with prof dutkofski and ended up being pleased with it. At first its a good deal of work, a 2 page paper due every week for the first 3/4 weeks but then it gets easier. Just keep up with the forums and you'll be fine. No tests which is good. Only negative is he isn't real responsive with emails but his directions are clear.

Professor was very helpful and allows you to finish the course on your own timetable. I finished in 6 weeks. Online course w/ video and audio sources that did entail heavy writing. I highly recommend.

Ethics telecourse. This is a self-paced class. He spells everything out in the beginning & the rest is up to you. Watch the videos, do the work, complete your exams on time, and everything should work out just fine. I had no problem getting timely email responses from him.

Online Mythology. No textbook needed! No tests! He provides his own weekly PowerPoint lessons that are short & to the point w/online links to corresponding myths. I had no problems with communication. Class consists of discussion posts and short papers for each lesson and one simple research paper due at the end. Great class & professor.

I took this class online. I learned a lot. The class is entirely at your own pace as long as you are done 1/2 week(s) before finals. He is a fair grader. Grade is based on 7 Article Reviews (picked by you), 11 weekly Reviews (off videos), midterm & final. Not a hard class but not an easy one. Would take this prof again.

I took Mythology online. Awesome class, learned a lot. If you post your discussion prior to due date and write your 5 pages paper - you will be in a good shape!! Grades are fair.. Easy A class.Loved it!!!!

I was not very interested in this class some of the topics were but others were boring. I would have done better if I would have payed attention to due dates other than that it would have been an easy A, just turn in the papers on time and do your discussions every week and you're set. No book and no quizzes or tests.

I took his mythology class online and it was super easy! As long as you can stay on top of assignments, there is on per week, you'll be set. One final paper that is 5-7 pages on but he's not very picky. Check your grammer/punctuation and you should have an easy A!

Great course. Was pretty easy, just had to do the work. took it online. got all of the assignments at the beginning of the term and they were all due at the end. Nothing was due during the semester. Pretty liberal grader, I think. Should be an easy A as long as you do your work and use your brain somewhat.

I took this class online. Fair grader. All you have to do is do your work on time and you will pass. Like the person said before me, he gives all of his assignments at the beginning of the semester and nothing is due during the semester. You must have take initiative and manage your time well. I took this class in the summer 23 assignments in 10 weeks. Assignments are faily easy and the midterm and final were exactly like the weekly assignments. You have to be disciplined to complete all the assignments by the deadline and as long as you do and put forth some effort you will pass this class with an A. Overall great teacher great Class.

this professor is one of a kind, the kind of professor you only see in movies (the knowledgeable and comical kind) He is very clear with his expectations so there should be no uncertainty. He hardly gives test only a midterm and a final. However he does give bi-weekly quizzes which are super easy and are only worth 2pts each.

He's a funny guy. He really makes you think and is very uplifting (even at 7 am in the morning). His assignments require you to project what your thinking into paper. Your answers are not right or wrong but you will lose points if you can't explain your thinking clearly. He is one of the best teachers the school has to offer.

Excellent professor. He keeps his lectures entertaining via entertaining (and hilarious) stories which convey the material he is teaching in a very clear manner. In PHI 2010, the only homework was a one pager paper per week and a final paper. There are no right or wrong answers; he just wants you to understand the subject and give your opinion. A+

Professor Dutkofski is by far the best! He's hilarious in his lectures and makes them interesting. Homework is 1 paper a week which are fairly easy. There's no right or wrong he just wants you to see what you understood. He doesn't give 100s on papers ever, usually 92-96. The final is also 1 paper. no midterm. No textbook.

He's awesome! I've waited 3 semesters to take this class and when I showed up for it, I couldn't have been happier. He gives a TF quiz at the beginning of almost every other class (if you're on schedule.) If you pay attention, you pass. I listened to everything he said as a story, not just a lesson to pass. Mid term, Final, & an experience paper!

There were no tests or quizzes. Each week there was a one page paper due and the final was also a paper. He keeps you entertained, I didn't ever want to look at my phone. He is a great teacher!

What can I say about this guy that hasn't already been said. He has to be one of the best teachers I have ever taken here at Valencia or even in general in my entire school life! I loved him!! I wish I could take him for other classes. Absolutely hilarious! All we had for homework and tests were these one page papers (double spaced if you wanted). They were easy thanks to his power points and google. We had a longer (than a one page paper) at the end of the year on any subject we covered. LOVED HIM. SO MUCH. TAKE HIM!

This class was by far the easiest class i have taken. Prof. D makes the course clean cut and simple to understand. He gives a weekly quiz you can retake, and a 1 page paper talking about the subject for the week. The final is a paper about a topic you already learned. Now if only all prof. were this easy.

A great, laid back class that you get out what you put in. There are no quizzes or tests, only weekly 1 page papers that I highly suggest doing all of (there's really no reason you shouldn't, they're cake). Allowed to miss 2-3 classes. No book. Dan is a goofball and sure to make you think about things differently. A great professor, take him.

There are ZERO exams just 10 one page papers and a final paper. His lectures are very enjoyable and he is hilarious and very entertaining. He makes philosophy easier to understand and is very helpful to students who are struggling. There is no way to fail this class, he has a flexible attendance policy but its recommended to not skip class. NO BOOK

You would be a dummy not to take his class. Professor Dutkofski makes the class fun and I am laughing the entire time while learning. His PHI 2010 classes uses one page papers which can be quite fun because you are critically thinking. Cool class! Okay to take it online. He's syllabus for the semster is very clear, set in stone just be prepared when his class starts. He wont really tell you when his windows open you just gotta know and always know when the 1 page papers are due and youll pass the class. Quizes are easy too, no textbooks needed.

Great professor, no textbook, one page paper per week. Must read the powerpoint lectures to understand and then write a paper based on his question on the weekly subject. Quizzes are easy and 10 questions. Papers can be tricky, he doesn't give 100s out. Each week a paper is late he deducts 10 points. Final is a paper on one of the subjects.

This professor was amazing!! He clearly knows what he is talking about and I learned a lot in this class about various ways of decision-making processes. The discussions are insightful. The first 2.5 months are quizzes on lectures. After that, there is no graded material other than the final essay. YOU NEED TO DO WELL ON THOSE QUIZZES!!!

Dutkofski had really eye opening lectures and made you question life in different ways every single time. Is time real? Does the future or past exist? and a lot more. Really easy class just show up and theres no homework or tests, but we had to write one page papers every week. They were really cake. I would recommend this class to anyone.

He's HILARIOUS, I loved coming to this class. Passionate about teaching & although the class is lecture heavy he keeps the lectures entertaining & tells stories that really help you grasp the concepts. For each theory there is a worksheet w 4 columns to fill out but its super simple & he basically gives you all the answers during lecture. Take him!

This professor is really nice. Throughout the semester all he assigns are 9 (one page) papers, and one final paper that is a little longer. No tests or exams which makes the class pretty simple, just show up and participate in his lectures. He makes them fun and he's pretty hilarious so he tries to keep the topic engaging.

This is the best professor I have ever had. He is hilarious in a very sarcastic way and he makes things so easy to understand by putting things into real life perspective. For the first half of the semester we just had a quiz every week and then a mid term exam and then after that it was just going to class and had a 3-5 paper due for the final.

No textbook was needed to purchase but the syllabus is to be taken seriously it is the ultimate guide. The professor is very dry with simple questions via email (my only complaint) but all you need to do is log in, read for a fragment of your time, write a one-page paper after you comprehend what you learned and participate (syllabus) that's it : )

Turn everything in and it's an easy A. Never got any feedback on any papers so grades felt a little arbitrary. Probably because this was a 6 week flex course. Easy bi-weekly readings and essay prompts. 10 one page double spaced papers (300 words), Maybe a repeatable quiz and an easy 4 page final on a topic important to you.

Best professor I've ever had. This class is incredibly thought-provoking in an entertaining manner. There are 10 1 page double spaced papers (1 per week) but info for the prompts are discussed in class. There is no textbook so attendance is needed if you want to understand the prompts. The final is a 3-5 page double spaced paper. Go register!

I have taken quite a fair amount of college courses and had fabulous teachers where I enjoyed every moment of class. But Mr. Dutkofski was different. This man left me in tears on the last day of class. His lectures and level of consciousness was so awe-inspiring that if I skipped class, I felt I was missing out on once in a lifetime opportunities.

GREAT! I barely had to communicate with him because everything was laid out and well described. I really enjoyed his lectures, they were online but he added a voice-over which I found nice that he didn't just give us notes to teach ourselves but was very helpful in our understanding. Prof. Dutkofski is a very caring and HILARIOUS professor. Although it was an online class his humor showed. We had 10 papers for the 6 week summer term and they really challenged the mind and made you question things. I highly recommend taking his class. I honestly wish it was an in person class because it would've been a pleasure. Please take him.

The online class is well laid out and easy to follow. He has several slides for each chapter to read. This has everything you need to know. Choose a few examples from the slides and write a one page paper explaining the concept and your viewpoint. It only requires you to understand and explain. Then there is only one more paper for the final.

Professor Dan Dutkofski Is great. Highly recommend him. Fair, and super responsive. Grades are entered quickly after submission. The ONLY critique is that he does not provide feedback on your papers often leaving you wondering why you got the score you got. They were all some variation of an A. With putting in the work, an A is reasonably attained.

A powerpoint every single day. Lots of note taking, unless you just want to use the PDF or PP version on canvas. In hindsight the information is interesting but I was normally bored the whole time. He's a good teacher and it's a pretty easy A if you do well on quizzes and the final paper.

This guy is great at setting up his online class. No textbook needed, editable files to send back to him instead of printing and scanning, etc for minimum financial impact or having to go out of your way. The material is theory-heavy, but that's just what the subject is and I got an A without too much trouble.

Graded by 10 1 page papers, participation (taking the quizzes), and 1 final paper. There were 3 weeks scattered throughout the semester where I didn't have anything due; he understands that students have lives outside class. My only complaint is that he doesn't give feedback for the papers. I usually got As on the papers so it wasn't a big deal.

Class is straightforward--5 quizzes, 5 worksheets, midterm, 2 short answers, and a final paper. No textbook was required. I do wish he gave feedback on why he took points off on worksheets.

The class was easy and there were not many assignments to do. I don't see any reason why anyone would fail this class unless they simply don't do the work, which is easy and not time consuming at all. Honestly the class could be finished in 3 to 4 weeks, but he doesn't open all the assignments and I assume that's the reason why.

The work is minimal and straight forward however that can be a positive or a negative, a low scored worksheet or quiz can make it extremely hard to recover. You will not need a text book, professor does a great job responding back and more importantly he is flexible with deadlines. Do your work, take careful notes and its an easy A

This professor is pretty chill and the class is really really easy. It is quite literally hard to not pass this class. The classwork consists of just writing 1-page papers (1 per week) that take like 15-20 min just to complete and a singular 10 question quiz. But this professor does not believe in 100s (only giving like 95s at most) which is cringe

I believe that the professor is knowledgeable and competent at building an online course. They emphasize learning and application over memorization which helps me to better see how this course is applicable to real-life issues. It is also very simple to navigate the canvas course and see exactly what assignments that I need to submit.

Great Professor! I still haven't finished this class but as for right now you get 1 quiz per week and SOMETIES a worksheet. He gives you the lectures recorded and multiple ways to learn the course. I would totally recommend if you are a dual enrollment student or someone with a lot of responsibilities because he barely gives any hw.

I have never rated a professor before but Professor Dan was amazing!! His lectures were so interesting and I found his humor to be hilarious. The class is very easy and I recommend attending all the lectures. He really cares about his students and has a passion for learning. All of his quizzes are true and false, and he barely assigns homework.

this professor is chill, he only gives one page papers and a 10 question quiz each week, sometimes, he'll skip a week so we don't have anything to do until the following week. although it's chill, this class seriously requires deep thinking in order to get an A on the one page papers. he even said he doubts anyone would ever get a 100 on our paper.

Online during summer. 10 one-page papers. Quizzes worth 0 points (only detrimental if not taken). Final 3-to-5-page paper. You cannot score 100/100 on any paper, but you should still pass with an A if you're scoring 90/100 consistently. Probably some philosophy thing about perfection. I'd recommend face-to-face if ever offered.

Although Professor Dutkofski was an easy grader, the grades he gave seemed to be random, with little to no feedback given on each assignment. In terms of coursework, there was a PowerPoint, a short weekly quiz, a 1-page paper due every Sunday, and a final paper. The papers were usually very interesting and engaging. Before you even start the class, jump to the final and find out what you are most interested in and take notes for it, (its just a longer essay). The final is worth 15% of the grade, He will fail you in the class if you do not do it. Quizzes you have unlimited attempts on and a weekly essay. Super easy and just 1 page. Great Professor! The first half of the class is going over individual ethical theories, and each week, you have a quiz on the corresponding theory. There is a midterm exam. The second half of the course is dedicated to applying the theories to controversial moral dilemmas. No quizzes in the second half. There is no Final test, just a Final paper.

he was my goat straight up. everything was so easy and the lectures were actually entertaining with a lot of class engagement.

I was nervous to take his class at first, but he's a great professor. Grades come from 10 one-page papers and a 2–5 page final. It's easy to pass if you attend lectures. He doesn't give 100s, but even my worst paper got a 92.

He is super entertaining and fun, the grades are quite easy. The assignments are mostly true or false questions after we are done covering a certain religion with a final paper.

He's amazing, straight up THE goat. Only one one-page paper per week. He won't give you a 100 because "you're right in everything you wrote, but you could be even more right," so I always got a 95. I always looked forward to his lectures, and if I could take more classes with him, I would in a heartbeat. You won't regret having him as a professor.

pretty good, i got an A. after every religion, there's a quiz, but they're with 5 T or F questions, but they're heavily graded. a final paper at the end about a religious service you have to attend and a mid term and final. overall, easy material, just heavily graded bc of the few assignments.

Professor Dutkofski is absolutely hilarious! He is extremely understanding. The quizzes and tests are extremely easy as long as you pay attention to the lectures. I wish I could take this class again, it was extremely informative and fun!
