Challenging course overall. Difficult term paper and tests, option to drop the final (A average on all other tests). Primary focus on developmental/social psych. Inadequate coverage of bio/abnormal psych.

Dr. Fawaz is a wonderful teacher. He brings true life examples in his teaching. His instructions are clear and precise. If you take notes during lecture you will always succeed.

An excellent teacher. You will learn alot. If you take notes during lecture, you will do well on his exams. There are a lot of out of class assignments that, if you do them, will boost your grade.

Fawaz is the man, he gives u extra credit and he is awsome guy, and stays your friend.

Awesome professor. His class is very interesting. Nobody ever fell asleep in his class. Takes four tests and if you take notes during his lecutres, you will do fine on the tests.

Very good online professor. Study guides are very helpful.

His tests can be tricky but he gives extra credit so you have some room for error. Writing the autobiography takes time so start right away! Nice teacher, strongly reccommended.

Prof. Fawaz's class is challenging yet fair. If you do the work and read the modules, you'll have fun in his class. Very engaging with his students. I would highly recommend taking his class to anyone wants to actually learn, not just memorize.

Dr. Fawaz is one of the most caring teachers that I have ever had. My grandfather died while I was in his class and he was there for me on a personal level (he had a death in the family shortly before I did and understood) as well as an academic level.

Great class. Tests are tough but lots of opportunity for extra credit. You come out of the class with a very broad knowledge base to be able to take upper level classes with confidence. He's a really good teacher and cares about his students.

Highly recommended. Makes this course very interesting and relates everything to your life. Finally, a course that I can actually use throughout my life. He really cares about his students. Gives many ex-credit opportunities. DO THEM... they help a lot

I loved this teacher!! He keeps things interesting. His tests are hard, but he gives out extra credit as rewards and you can make atleast a B if you do it all. Has been my favorite teacher so far.

This guy is the best. He will always work with you and he is very understanding. He will take the time to help you outside of class even if it interferes with his own schedule. I highly recommend any of his classes!

He is ok. Interesting discussions, but watch out because he is totally opinionated! (VERY LIBERAL) he makes you read the New York Times & attempts to brainwash you with their garbage. When he actually disucsses Psyc, he is TOTALLY interesting. Sometimes thinks he is a Poly Sci Prof.

nice teacher, you really have to study but if you are interested he'll make it fun. he knows what he's talking about. Really have to pay attention though.

Awesome teacher with intresting lectures - His exams are tricky b/c of the m.choice question format and extensive essay questions. He gives many extra credit opportunities which make up for it! Great teacher and highly reccommended!

Fawaz is the BEST psychology professor out there! He's always available for extra help and every class is interesting!! His lectures are fun and he's always in a great mood! Tests could be tricky b/c they involve m/c, short answer, & an essay - if you read your notes/the chapters you'll do great!! He gives many extra credit opportunities as well!

He is a great teacher. You will have to work. He offers alot of extra credit and if you do it you will definately pass with flying colors. He really gets you interested in Psych. I would definately take him again. Be prepared to work.

This class was a fun. The professor did an excellent job of making the students aware of what would be covered on each exam and in the class. Complete all extra credit assignments.You will learn alot in this class.

Outstanding teacher. numerous extra credit assignments. you will definately learn something in this class. great lectures and a lot of fun. the tests can be difficult but he will tell you what to study. i have taken two of his classes and received A's in both of them.

He was VERY interesting and kept my attention. He used personal experiences and examples, even showing us the c-section birth of his child when we were studying prenatal and neonatal development. Everything he taught was interesting and pertinent to the course. His tests were comprehensive and he gave good test reviews.

Very Difficult Teacher... Take if you want to actually learn something. He won't try to fail you, but he is difficult. He also gives extra credit out of the wazoo. He doesn't let schooling get in the way of your eductation.

HE IS AWESOME!! This class is SO FUN and so interesting. He gives TONS AND TONS of EXTRA CREDIT! His tests are hard BUT he gives a full outline of what is going to be on the test and it's really helpful, you just HAVE to study, obviously. He is so helpful and nice and he's probably my favorite teacher! I look forward going to his class! TAKE HIM!!

Prof. Fawaz was most likely the hardest teacher I've ever taken; and most likely one of the best. This is not a Prof you can slack with, I'd reccomend doing extra credit. It's possible to get an A without a lot of extra credit, but not without some work. Read the chapters, Understand the material, and by all god USE it on the test. you'll need to.

Dr. Fawaz reminds me of Mr. Rogers- he is a really nice person who cares a lot about what he teaches. I learned things in that class that I would never have learned anywhere else, and a lot of things that I will never forget because you can apply almost everything to use in life! He's an amazing teacher---watch out for the relationship paper-

Fawaz is a great teacher. I would strongly reccomend taking his class if you are interested in learning. He loves the subject and is willing to give extra help if it is needed. If your looking for an easy class dont take him, but if you want to learn he is the man. I took him two semesters in a row excellent teacher :)

He's a great Prof, best I've ever had. He's not an easy A, but he's not out to fail you. He makes the subject interesting and made me change my major to Psych. He is opinionated, but since I agree with his opinions, I guess it doesn't bother me any. Great teacher if you want to actually learn your material instead of recycling it for tests.

Fawaz is tough but fair. He gets really into his classes and wants his students to do well. He also offers some extra credit to help you keep your grade up. It was a pleasure to be in his classroom.

Dr. Fawaz is one of the greatest teachers I've ever had and his class was interesting everyday. He does expect a lot from his students but makes learning the material interesting and fun! As long as you take notes during class and review what he tells you, the tests aren't too bad...I would recomend his class to anyone!

he's a nice guy but his class is kinda hard, but still very interesting. He is really funny & has hilarious perspectives about psychology, he moves pretty fast w/notes so quickly adapt to that. Make sure you study well for tests those are pretty diff

I had no interest in Psychology before this class and I always assumed that this is not my subject.But he is an awesome teacher and a very nice human being as mentioned in some other post.His lectures are like music to ears.I would recommend him to any student.

I had him for abnormal psychologyin the fall. He definitely loves his work because he has a PHD in the field he teaches. He loves talking about new discoveries and how psychology applies to the world around us. He is definitely into politics but is still really nice and helpful. If you ever can, take his class.

great professor, very helpful. The clas requires a lot of work but he give extra credit opportunities, great chances of passing with an A or B

This has been my favorite teacher at this school. I had him for 3 psychology classes. He explains concepts very well and is easy to recognize them on tests. He asks you to write a couple papers but the are usually pretty easy, just a lot of work. There are many extra credit opportunities that are also easy. I highly recommend this teacher!

I'm not sure why people complain. I had no problems with Dr. Fawaz. Stick to the book, and just do the assignments and you're fine. As for his response time, just don't wait until the last minute to ask questions. If you are still having a hard time in his class, it may not be the subject for you. I aced it, but then again, I like psychology.

Dr. Fawaz is an AWESOME teacher. The class itself was reasonably difficult, but if you keep up with the work, you'll do great! He really helpful, so if you have any difficulties whatsoever just let him know and he will truly help you to succeed and understand the material. Good luck! :)

Mr.Fawaz is an AMAZING professor. He has very interesting lectures, and makes real life examples to everything so that it is easy to understand. Attending class is not mandatory, but it does make it much easier to pass the class. He gives a lot of extra credit opportunities, that are not that bad at all, which make the tests much easier to well on!

Awesome professor! I took him as a dual enrollment student, so I was still in high school, and i thought it was pretty easy. He has strong opinions about some things and he's obsessed with the new York times. EXTREMELY helpful. Just study and show up for class and take notes. He gives so much extra credit, you have no excuse to fail. Great teacher!

Fawaz makes up his own notes, and gets distracted easily by students asking random questions. He does know what he's talking about. But if you're not in class and miss his examples, then you'll do poorly on the test. Only four tests for semester but he makes you do these long New York Times summaries and terms.

Dr. Fawaz is a COLLEGE professor: that means he's there to challenge you to think in new ways. That requires some work on your part. If you pay attention, do the reading, and put some thought into your work, he will reward you well. If you don't, you're wasting your time and his. This is your guy if you're serious!

Dr. fawaz is a great professor. His tests are somewhat difficult but if you put any time into studying then you will do just fine. He also gives you so much extra credit it is almost impossible to not get an A in his class. The work seems like a lot but in reality he is just teaching you how to effectively manage your time.

Dr. Fawaz is one of the toughest professors I have ever had, but also the most engaging. He really wants you to learn and genuinely cares about his students. Do every extra credit he assigns and discuss research paper often with him Tests are very difficult, but you will walk away from his class very well informed.

Dr. Fawaz was excellent. Responded to email quickly and made himself available on a weekend to review my draft paper. Class is a lot of reading and writing--papers, discussions and major project. This is a great class, great professor but you have to do the work and put in the effort. I took this online in the short 4 week session.

TAKE HIM! You will have to work for it but he is loved by students and an amazing person. I want to take all his classes!

By far the most amazing professor I've taken. He WILL make you work for your grade and he cares just as much as you care about your grades. His tests are more on the tough side, but you just really have to study. He will say things in class or show videos in class and it will be on the tests. So showing up is mandatory.

I highly recommend this teacher. He truly cares about the students and loves what he does. I don't do so well, but that's just a personal issue I have as a student. If you ask for help, he'll give it to you. He gives you many chances and a lot of extra credit. Would definitely take again.

I took him for an online course which I'm pretty sure is pre-formatted. He was helpful and responsive anytime I had a question. The quizzes/exams were at times confusing because of the way they were worded but were moderately easy. We had simple group discussions and 2 papers which were graded pretty tough. Participating in group disc is mandatory.

Dan Fawaz one one of my teachers in 1989. Yes, you read that correctly. 1989! He was an excellent teacher back then and I'm thrilled to see he's still teaching. He was considerate and charismatic. He paid attention to detail and graded fairly but tough. He made a huge impact on my life. THANK YOU Dan Fawaz!

He is an awesome professor, and he really cares about you as a person. The class is tough, but I took hybrid pysch which was a lot of online work. I loved learned from him, and he took it beyond what the textbook taught. He kept it as simple as possible, and he tried to keep it interesting by relating it to our lives.

He's a wonderful professor! Easily my favorite that semester.

I took him online and I have to say the work was tough. But then again I work f/t and do school f/t. However, his discussions were the best. I truly enjoyed the fact he was willing to help however and whenever. I learned a lot about myself and the subject. I would def. say make sure you have TIME b/c there is A LOT of reading and information.

This class is for people genuinely interested in Psychology. If you are not a Psych major or have no interest in psych DO NOT take this class. You learn a lot about different topics that have to do with every day living but this material is not factual and feels very opinionated . Fawaz is a great professor but be prepared to work. Tests are hard.

Best professor I have ever had!

Dr. Fawaz is hilarious and wonderful to be around. If you are not a psychology major, I'd chose a different professor. But if you are, there's no one better for the job. His course load is very heavy but he's always willing to help.

Dr. Fawaz was overall a great professor. The class is mostly based off online homework and tests, with one writing assignment. He gives TONS of extra credit on tests if you do some additional homework. Only complaint would be that the class felt somewhat disorganized, and that you have to print so many handouts for in-class participation.

He's a nice guy but he is a bit of a tough grader. BUT he gives a TON of extra credit. Like ALOT. you also NEED to show up to class.

Dr. Fawaz was a good Professor. It was a quick mini mester, so things went by quickly but the pace was easy to keep up with. The homework was at times insufferable, not hard just overly long and 2 chapters , 120 questions each due every 3 days. Otherwise, the class was easy and enjoyable and lots of extra credit opportunities, definitely use it !

I received a B+, but that was definitely my doing. Mr. Fawaz provides multiple opportunities for extra credit, but I never had time. His lectures are very interesting, and he cares about his the material. Very Knowledgeable guy. DO THE EC! and attend class.

I had an online async class with him, so I didn't have any interaction aside from on iCollege, but he was a solid prof. A good amount of assignments but they weren't super hard, and they were interesting. The online book is used a lot,&the way it's used is really helpful. The book assignments aren't listed on icollege but they're all on Connect.

This class was very simple and was not tough at all. Homework and quizzes is all based on reading and vocabulary. Professor communicates when he will grade certain assignments and has many extra credit opportunities. Very easy and not stressful at all. Definitely would recommend!

Dr Dan Fawaz is easily the most genuine, caring, intelligent professor/teacher I have EVER HAD. Yes, I only scored a "B", but I got more from Dr Fawaz than any other instructor in my life. My only regret is that there is ONLY ONE DAN FAWAZ.
