Hands down the best prof in the Faculty of Management. An admirable individual who genuinely cares about those he teaches. Any Management students should take at least one class from him.

I heard wonderful things about Dan before taking his class, and they were all confirmed. His credibility and experience are a refreshing change after taking so many classes from 'academics' who have never applied their course material. Watch out for the tests, though; very comprehensive (but fair). Marking scale makes an A nearly impossible.

The marking scheme is crazy? I agree with that. But the test questions are not difficult. Everything are from the note and pic from the textbook. Even if u give the wrong answer, he may guve u 8/10, Just spend more time. I got an A in his class though (unfortunately no A+). if you got 96 and up, that's an A

Dan is one of the rare individuals who is a born leader, teacher, mentor and friend to students. I would recommend him over all others. Taking a class from him makes you believe that there are still people who really care about their impact on others' lives. Take as many classes from Dan as you can.

Dan's the man! Great guy, genuinely interested in all his students, fabulous teacher, really challenges you, but tries so hard to help you as well. Not very easy, but well worth all the effort! One B from Dan is worth 4 A's from somebody else!

After a year with Dan in IME... I think that I can fairly say that he is an EXCELLENT professor. He is someone that takes pride in the success of his students and our succcesses become his. He is helpful in every wat imaginable and he has a very diverse knowledge set!

Unreal guy! One of the best Profs I've ever had in University! Highly recommended. Just go to class, he pretty much tells you what to know for exams, marks easy on project! Makes the info interesting.

Getting an A is not easy in his class since an A is a 94,there is a lot of material to memorize and the tests are 100% all written. Regardless hes an awesome teacher and if you listen very carefully in class he prety much tells you whats going to be on his exams, to the point where you know the exact questions.

Dan is probably the best prof who ever existed. He is understanding of students needs but he challenges you to work hard and do better than you ever thought you could. He is also encouraging and funny. I think the fact the he has a group on facebook in his honour called "I heart Dan Kazakoff" says everything...I would recommend him as a prof!!

Even at 8:00am it was an excellent class, great guy, lots of help, entertaining, and genuine. A true hero in post-secondary education. Someone to truly look up to. If you have the opportunity to take a class with Dan, DO IT!

Dan is great. The UofL needs more professors like him. The world needs more professors like him. Tests require alot of preparation but he marks very very fairly. He is a great guy!

Quite honestly, Dan changed my life. He is an inspiration to the world, not exaggerating. Dan single handily made my academic career more then just getting a degree. He genuinely cares about his students and you individual lives. He is the reason the Theory into Practice program is what it is. Thanks for the amazing year.

Dan is literally the best professor I have had, I never once skipped his 8am class because I actually respected him too much to do so. He is such an amazing person, and he actually adds value to getting a degree.

Best prof ever. The class isn't easy but it's not hard either. His grading scheme is insane but it doesn't affect most people since he is such a great prof. 8am sucks but most people were on time. He is the type of guy that you feel bad if you show up late. Not a morning person? take it in the fall because you don't have to heat up your car!

The IME program is Dan's baby: be in it, and you'll be in with him. It's an amazing program which reflects its amazing creator. The grading scale is insane, but he determines the final marks. Work hard and you won't be disappointed. Take this class, cross your fingers for a good group, and buckle yourself in. Dan will blow your mind.

Dan knows consulting because he used to be one. He has insights that other teachers wouldn't have. He goes over almost exactly what is on the tests. Insane marking scale, but work hard and you'll do good. He truly cares that you learn the material. Dan is an awesome guy, definately take a course with him!

Dan is the most amazing teacher available. He requires a lot of work in his classes, but reqards you with the grae he thinks you deserve based on that work. Very approachable, very clear on how to do things, all around just an awesome teacher. it should be a requirement to take at least one class from him.

The best teacher available at the university. Take any class you can with him, you will not regret it! His classes require a fair bit of work, but you will be graded in proportion to the work you put in. If you take a lot of time on your assignments, and put in detailed analysis, you should get an A. We are lucky to have a professor this great!

Just finished my first course with Dan, and I was not disappointed!!! Literally the best prof I've ever had!! I wish I had taken IME with him though, everyone that's taken it has nothing but awesome reviews!! Go out of your way to take a class with him! It will be worth it!

Excellent teacher. All about creating a correlation between education and future business ability. Invested 100% in students. Loves Dr. Pepper. This is THE MAN! He may not be a woman but he has an awe-inspiring teaching style. If you take a class with him you have NO reason to complain or misunderstand.

I've had Dan for two classes and I just have to say, he is hands-down the best prof I have ever had. He is such a caring, genuine person and I would recommend his classes to anyone. Dan is by far the best prof I've had at the university. He is very approachable, does all he can to help you succeed, and if you go to class he tells you what is most likely to be on your exams. He has two midterms that you must study for as they are all written and worth 40% each. However, if you study it's very easy to get above 90%.

Dan is very friendly, and wants everyone to do well in class. As long as you show up to class you will know exactly what he will ask on tests. I would definitely recommend him as a prof. and loved class with him. The content was not super interesting, but he was very passionate about what he taught as well as promoting university programs.

He is such a nice guy! By far the best prof I've had so far! The two midterms are each worth 40% but he gives you marks wherever he can. All the material that will be on the exam will come from only the lectures so you don't need to buy the textbook at all. I didn't look at it even once. There is a group project with a presentation but no final!

Took the 8 am class. He usually ends class half an hour early which is nice. His tests are tough you have to study the material. But he is one of my favorite profs he really cares about his students and if you show up he really puts in the effort to get to know you. I would defiantly take another class from him.

Exams are entirely lecture based, but he drops a TON of hints in lecture about what he will test on and what he won't - he doesn't throw in any trick questions. Don't worry about buying the textbook, just show up to class and you'll do great! Dan invests in his students and is more than willing to help. He's a very approachable prof. Overall A++

Dan is a great professor who is very dedicated to the overall development of his students. He will drop hints in class as to what questions will be on the exam so show up. The textbook isn't really necessary as everything on the exam will be based off of slides and lectures.

When I went to Uni I was expecting profs not too care about your success, Dan immediately proved that wrong. He is one of the funniest lighthearted people I have ever met.

Lectures are entertaining and will throw in a witty joke occasionally too. More professors need to strive to attain his level of professionalism and emotional intelligence. Would always recommend .

Dan is the best teacher I've had thus far here in Leth. His class is extremely easy even for an 8am class, if you go to all lectures you'll pass with an easy A. He will tell you exactly what is on his exams (all written) and the group project is also extremely easy! Super approachable guy & I constantly look for him when I register for classes

awesome prof. super lenient marker. He really sets you up for success. attend all of the lectures and you're set. the only thing i wasnt super happy with, is the fact that he weights the midterm and final at 40% each. so 80% of the grade is determind on two tests.

Two written exams each worth 40% but if you show up to class and study for three hours you'll ace the class. The case is easy and he gives time in class

Tests are weighted at 40% each, but they're short answer and he is super generous with marks as long as you say SOMETHING even if you don't know it entirely. Super nice guy, gives case groups class time to get together because he understands how hard it is to coordinate group meeting times. BEST prof I have had here by far.

most approachable prof i have had at university. Tests are 80% of your grade, but as long as you attend the class he gives many helpful hints for the exams. Fair marker that gives extra points. If you show him that you are eager to learn you should get a great mark.

Awesome Prof, although class is based on 2 tests and an assignment he is a great guy. Super nice and if you're struggling he will help you. Just listen to lectures and study and you'll do fine

He's a great prof. He cares a lot about the students and if you don't understand something he is there to clarify it. There's only 2 tests and one big group assignment so you're graded by three things.

Dan is as good as everyone says! One thing to look out for in this class is the grading scheme though. A c is in the 70s. Tests are pretty easy. Text book was not necessary until the group project.

I am working towards my second degree, so I have had A LOT of experiences with professors. In all of my years, I have never encountered a prof that cares as much as Dan does about his students. He understands the pressures and responsibilities we all have, and genuinely wants us to succeed. He is amazing and I would recommend him to anyone.

What a great Prof!!!! All the things on the tests are in the lectures. He points them out, tells you to star them in your notes. Would definitely recommend! He is an easier marker, made my first semester at the UofL easier!

A really solid guy who wants his students to succeed. Doesnt take it too seriously, pretty funny and really tries to be considerate with workload. All in all I would definitely take another class with Dan, I appreciated how he cares about his students. (He really helped me to get through and pass after I initially shot myself in the foot)

He will do his absolute best to make sure you succeed in the course. The whole course is only marked on 3 things as well (2 exams worth 40% and a case study worth 20%).

He warns you about what to expect on tests for the most part so you just have to study, and not as much as other classes on average. Dan was such a good prof. His lectures were easy to understand because he related the topics to real life situations. I would recommend going to his lectures because he tells you what types of questions will be on the test. The tests are worth a lot, but he is a very reasonable marker and gives a lot of part marks if you have the right idea.

Dan is a great Prof! He is very caring and explains material thoroughly. No need for the text book as everything on the exams is in the slides or lectures. That being said, the course is extremely test heavy (2 midterms worth 40%) which are all written. Essentially be prepared for some intense memorization. The material itself however is very easy.

Dan is great professor that really cares about the material that he is teaching. You DO NOT need the book for MGMT 1000; the class slides are all you need. Going to class is important because many times he specifically tells what diagrams or concepts are on the exam.

Nearly impossible to fail this class and no textbook needed. If you ever get the chance to have Dan take it because it will be the best class of your academic career.

I had Dan for MGT 1000 in Fall 2019 and I would take him again. He's helpful, genuine and always approachable. 80% of the class marks are weighted on two exams so it's important to pay attention to what he says. Otherwise grades very easy and lets you know what is on the exam.

Dan is a great prof! He really enjoys what he teaches. He made sure everyone had a clear understanding of what he was looking for when grading. We had a case exam, which was different, not really to my liking but he is pretty lenient when marking it though. He is very accessible outside of class as well.
