Dan Lipscomb is a effective professor who can relate material well to students. He not only teaches well but genuinely cares for his students. Great professor, even better person.

Great instructor that cares about his students and their success. Recommend this one highly!! However, if you are looking for an easy A this is not the one.

Mr. Lipscomb is a WONDERFUL teacher that is passionate about the subject that he teaches. He knows his stuff and explains things very clearly. He is easy to understand and though he makes you work for your A, it is possible if you study. I had a wonderful experience in his class.

He is an awesome teacher. Dont be fooled though. This is a class that actually requires effort for a good grade. Nothing rediculous, but just going to class and not reading the text wont cut it. I would recommend him to anyone.

Challenges you, makes you think. Loves his job and is willing to listen. Tests are long in this class (Abnormal Psych), lots of written on it and long multiple choice. Just study, read and go to class!!

I took this professor in an online class and I was very impressed. He is very interesting. Now if you are looking for an easy "A" this is not it. However if you study, he gives you all the information you need to abtain an "A"

Tests have way too many questions. Study hard, take lots of notes and purchase his study guide and you may get a C. Not an easy A or B for that matter.

I took him online and rarely spent more than a couple of hours doing work. His study tapes are clear, just need to answer the review questions and do your labs for an easy A.

I took this class online and I enjoyed it. I wish I would've taken it in the classroom. He is a great teacher that is really passionate about what he does. He is always there to help and listen. His notes are VERY straightfoward - he tells you exactly what to study for the tests. Tests are long (85qs) but if you study you'll be fine. I made A.

Great class. took it ONLINE summer I session. Very labor intensive but actually liked the labs - made you think! Tests were hard, lot of questions but he did give you everything you needed to study. Don't recommend taking in short summer session if taking other classes while working. But definitely recommend Mr. Lipscomb.

Mr. Lipscomb is a GREAT teacher. He really cares about his students. He makes this class interesting, I actually looked forward to going to his class. I would recommend him to anyone. You need to study for the tests but they are not too hard I made A's on all of them.

PYSCH is a hrad class in generally so its not the teqacher who makes it hard. He makes it as easy as possible. Nice, nice guy. talks about his little boy all the time which give us a break during his lectures. Interesting class though.

I took this class online. The labs and CI projects were easy, I aced them all. The thing that killed my A was the exams. They have alot of questions & are pretty tough. Be ready to read your entire textbook and memorize it. I read when I could but not as much as needed. I think this being my 1st semester in many years made it harder than it was.

I took this class on line. Everything about it was exceptional. It is extemely well organized with great study notes and a very clear syllabus and time line for assignments. The downloadable lectures helped a lot and the labs and CI's were a breeze. The tests were a bit harder though. I strongly recommend this class and especially this professor.

I took his online class and it was an awesome experience! The information was very interesting and easy. I've learned so much from his online class and I'm going to take him again next semester. He even leaves comments on certain assignments. Tests arent easy so studying is a must!

I took his online class, and I absolutely loved it. He has the entire semester's assignments on Blackboard so you can work at your own pace. The labs were interesting and fairly easy. The tests were not easy, but he grades on a curve, and if you use the audio review files it is great prep for the test (I got an "A" every time by doing this).

Lipscomb is fun, brilliant, and refreshingly down to earth. His exams are HARD, and about 20 pages long... but there are only 3 of them, and he's a reasonable grader. There are a lot of labs, but they are all graded fairly too - just make an effort and you'll be fine. Fun class!

He offers recorded lectures to help with exam review..He knows his stuff..this is by no means an easy online class, but u will learn a ton!

Great class! Great professor. Be prepared to work hard, this class has enough material for two semesters. Lecture from PowerPoint slides. Lipscomb enlistes class participation and assigns many homework assignments and a group project. This is a higher level PYSC class than one would expect from a junior college. Great class, if you're in to it!

Lipscomb was a great teacher. He's a really nice guy and an interesting lecturer. There were lab assignments almost every week but they weren't very hard and he's an easy grader. Tests were based on review and were fairly straight forward. Never lets class out early--always uses the full hour, but it always productive.

Professor Lipscomb is not a bad teacher but not a great one either. He puts 4-5 chapters on a one exam so you have to study hard.He also has a lot labs but they are easy. He does not have much of a personality and he is pretty disorganized.He takes over a month to grade labs and you never have a chance to see your exam or your lab.

He is brilliant & his class was fun-but be prepared to work your butt off!We had 6 labs(writing)-a huge group project & 3 exams that were crazy difficult! He's a truly nice guy & funny-tries very hard to help anyone if asked. One drawback-you won't ever see your exams & it takes forever to get assignments graded. Work hard + go to class = OK grade.

Truly cares for the success of his students. Professor Lipscomb uses great PowerPoint's in class and gives his students detailed class notes for each chapter. He provides study guides for each exam which is important if you plan on passing his exams. Understand the concepts, don't memorize the guide. You'll make an "A" if you follow this advice.

Professor Lipscomb is a great professor. He is very experienced in his field and has been an intriguing class. But don't think this will be a blow off class! His labs could be a bit tedious and tests could use more than one night worth of studying. Study the book! Since I got perfect attendance, he bumped the B to an A !!!!

I took this class because I needed the credit and had no real interest in the subject. After finishing the class that hasn't changed. The layout for the class is simple enough, 4 test and about 10 different labs. The labs should take more then an hour to finish but that's not the problem. The test are what people will complain about. The test are tough, you have to study the study guide perfectly to do very well. If you need help or anything, he's there to help. Yea I would recommend him.

Good teacher, but this isn't a blow off class. His lectures are really helpful and he takes attendence every day so show up. The tests were hard,but if you do the study guides you can get it. His abnormal psych class was great. He hands out printed notes for every chapter. It is possible to do very well without going to class, but not recommended. His test reviews are extremely helpful as well.

I have to retake, D doesnt look good on paper. If your degree is in the field you will get alot of information from this class. Otherwise its way to in depth for a course requirement. I hv a family member that is in psych and has never seen such a hard course b4 his masters.

took online course. EASY as pie. I didn't even turn in half of the required assignments and I made an A. He is a really really easy grader. Just stay on top of your deadlines and use the study guide and listen to the audio reviews and you're golden.

This class was very interesting. You will definitely learn a lot from him. The tests are significantly challenging, even with study guides, reading the book numerous times, and the audio reviews. Getting an A on them is extremely difficult. But besides the overly difficult tests, the class was fun and the labs and discussions were very interesting.

I really enjoyed his class. As long as you put forth effort, you should get an A. I even received some bonus points for having well written answers to his homeworks as well as doing more than just what was required.

Took psych of personality. Primary method of teaching is powerpoint lecture. Tests are LONG, 70+ questions, and are over a lot of chapters (like 6 chapters per test.) Has online assignments due every other week. Good teacher though, just be prepared to study. A true college level class.

Prof Lipscomb is a true professional; clear, concise, organized and fair. I thoroughly enjoyed this class. He sets a nice tone for the classroom environment and encourages student discussion at the end of chapters. He incorporates some videos and inserts personal stories. I never thought I would like psychology, but it ended up being my favorite class. The lectures are very interesting and he knows his stuff. There are quite a few labs, but they were very easy and some of them very fun to make. I absolutely recommend taking Mr. Lipscomb's class!

I took professor Lipscomb for general psychology, and would say he's the most professional teacher I've ever had. Everything is very well organized, and he gives you plenty of resources to get an A. Study guides are outlines of the test. Do them and you will pass easily. Has a true passion for psychology, and is a gifted teacher. Highly Recommend!

He is the most diligent and passionate professor. Homework was very fun to do, so I enjoyed doing them a lot. They might take time. There were three tests, and each test had over 75 questions. But, he taught very specifically how to prepare for the test. There were extra homework and an extra test to replace the worst test.

I took the online class. He is very organized and clearly explains what he expects for a good grade. He grades fair, the more effort you put in the better your grade will be. He puts study guides and recorded lectures up, if you do them you will get an A on his test. He also curves the test scores. If you do the work you get an A!

Professor Lipscomb is a fantastic teacher, who makes Psychology super interesting. He knows that his class is not your only class, and therefore does not assign tons of out of class work, besides labs (usually one due at the end of each week-super easy).

I thoroughly enjoyed this class and hope he teaches the other psych class I need. Definitely recommend for online psychology. It can seem overwhelming at the start of the semester, but his assignments make it easy to learn and very interesting.

I honestly think he is really down to earth and funny and enjoyed his lectures. Only 4 tests and an optional comp final to raise your grade. You just take notes off the power points or you could just sit and listen because they are all online! As long as you make sure you're thorough in your labs and get minimum high B's; should be an easy A!!!

I took Psyc 2301 from him and i found Professor Lipscomb very organized, well prepared very clear and fun . His lectures are engaging and I really enjoyed his class. He gives study materials for exams if you follow them and you will be Ok . His labs are interesting and fun to do . I Highly recommended him!!!!

If you plan to take either General Psych or Psychology of Personality, you should definitely take these courses from Professor Lipscomb.

I'm not sciency, but Dr. Lipscomb has a wonderful understanding of how brains are diverse, so he teaches in a way that if you're more artistic and intuitive you'll do well, and if you're more mathy-sciency you'll do well. Just come to class, take notes, and don't be afraid to ask questions. Would take again.

I took the class online so I never met professor lipscomb, but just by listening to his online reviews he seems very knowledgeable and will tell you what you need to know for the tests. READ THE BOOK. That along with doing all the labs and listening to his reviews will get you an A. There's alot of work in this class, but he made it interesting!

Professor Lipscomb was overall an amazing professor. He was really easy to relate to and had a personal experience to link to almost all of his lectures that were all relative and most often funny. I LOVED having Professor Lipscomb for this class. Since it was online, there was a lot of reading, but he really does his best to make sure students have to tools to succeed (example: he provides audio reviews and great study guides that really helped me with the tests!) If I had anymore PSYC classes left to take, I'd try to take them under him!

Professor Lipscomb's class was fun and enlightening for myself. There is quite of bit of material to study over for the tests/exams, so I would suggest doing the proper reading. The labs were always interesting. Overall, I was very happy with this class. Tough, but wonderful.

Professor Lipscomb is the best professor I've ever had. I took him for two psych classes and wish he taught all of them! The grading breakdown is as follows: 7-8 labs (writing analysis assignments about topics in class, turned in online) and 3 tests, no comprehensive exam. Professor Lipscomb was very helpful, always gave great specific feedback and rewards effort. He was always available through email I took his class online and could email him any time and he would respond, if not immediately, that day. He was always available to answer questions and his assignments were very clear and specific as to what he wanted.

Professor Lipscomb tells you exactly what will be on the exam, and he provides an audio review for most chapters which is very useful! 5 Discussions, and lots of homework, but it's all very manageable. Extra Credit available. Even though it felt like an "Easy A", it certainly was not. I learned a great deal of information from him. TAKE HIM ONLINE

Online Class. There was 1 lab and 1 discussion due each week. 1 test each month over 6 Chapters. He gives you a 12 page reviews you have to look up the questions in the book which I did instead of reading. There were 3 extra credit assignments. I tried hard to get an A but its difficult in his class. Also, there was a 5-8% curve on each test.

He is the most caring and respected Professor ever. Amazing lectures, funny, weird jokes, very calm and collected. I have never seen him frown or raise his voice. If he sees you working hard and determined then this Class would be an A. His tests are a little tricky in the sense you have to read the book to get A's. Labs are fun. Will miss him lot.

I took Professors Lipscomb class online. You MUST read the textbook for the study guides and listen to the audio reviews. His tests are hard but it is doable. Professor Lipscomb is a solid professor, who conveys the information clear and at a steady pace. He is quite passive and quiet, so if you fall asleep easily or to soft tones you may have some trouble taking this class. Although, he makes the class interesting enough and puts it in a steady flow.

Professor Lipscomb is AMAZING. He's been teaching for 26 years and he has his material down! He gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit (up to 10 points on the end of your grade) & even gives extra points on the extra credit/assignments/tests. Professor Lipscomb is awesome! The classes is structured in a way that really makes you learn the material and love the class. A lab is due each week with a chapter reading. He gives great feedback and offers amazing reviews for the test, with an audio recording of the lectures. He will give bonus points on labs if you put in extra work.

I took his class online for Summ 1 2019. The best online class you will see. His study guides tell you how many questions correspond with what material on specific pages of the textbook. There are 3 required discussions and 10 assignments where you answer specific questions about an activity. Testing center is required, but easy if you studied.

Professor Lipscomb is wonderful. His lectures are great that you will find yourself applying them to real life. Hes very easy going and is always there to help. He provides study guides for the exams so do those and read your text book and you will be good. I honestly wish he taught more departments. I highly recommend him!

You couldn't ask for a better professor. He gives solid feedback on EVERY lab assignment, so if you do mess up, you won't mess up again. He has a great sense of humor, and he shows a funny video every day to mix things up. The lectures he gives can be overwhelming, but just ignore it and focus on the test reviews he provides. This class was easy for me because in class you go over the powerpoints and he just goes into detail of what's on the slides. He provides study guides for each chapter that say exactly what you need to know for the test which is extremely careful. Overall he's a super nice guy who made this class very interesting.

Prof Lispcomb's online class was a lot of fun to take. Lab and discussion heavy (a lab and discussion due every week that correlate with the reading). Lots of reading, study guides for tests (makes the tests easy), 4 exams, optional final exam. As long as your diligent on doing the work and trying, easy pass.

Online, so not much actual interaction with him. He gives 5 in-depth discussion projects, and you choose 3 of them. However his discussions and labs basically look for participation. GREAT study guides, follow his guides and know those answers and you should ace tests. honorlock for exams, but again, basically spoon feeds you the answers in guides.

Great class, I took the online version and Professor Lipscomb provided prerecorded video modules with powerpoints for each chapter of the textbook. The textbook he chose for the class was free online on openstax. The assignments had clear grading criteria and plenty of opportunities for extra credit. Super organized and punctual, would take again.
