I took the class online. I did all the assignments required and took the exams, I got a "B". If i would of done the an extra credit or two I would of got an "A".

I think peaple are too mean to Mr McBride. I wish all professors were like him! He makes learning fun and interesting. He is very enthusiastic and ecentric at times which is a good thing because there's never a boring class. He's a fabulous grader. Optional attendance. I missed a whole month and still got an A. Fun class really. Nice funny guy =)

I took this class on-line and it was easy. Just follow the modules in the syllabus and you should do well. The reason I received a "D" is that I forgot a component which cost me alot of points. He does respond timely to your questions. I enjoyed the recreational activities needed. I would recommend this on-line course.

I recommend this class to all who cannot perform well in a full p.e. class, you can do the activities you like, just ask! This is a great alternative for transfer to a UC/US, it counts as p.e and health! I am so glad I took it! Read, do all activities and you will get an A by points. Easy. BUT don't expect to acctually learn anything, this class is a waste of time and money. everyone has to buy his $50 book...don't recommend......

He allows you to earn extra points by going to the YMCA and getting your first aid and CPR training certificates, which comes in very handy. The class was very helpful with the awareness of our health. He replys very promptly to emails. A very linent teacher!

Mcbride game me a B because I didnt have the book and I was doing the class by current knowledge. He is a good teacher. talk to him he will give you a break. And if you didnt learn then you didnt read. I love his book it will come in handy later. Do the work you will get an A. book is expensive. $50 bucks! lol..

Easy, gives outline of the entire 6 six weeks (if u take it winter/summer) attendance isnt a big deal to him as long as u leave on a break or while he steps out of class. Best health professor at ELAC. :D

I took his class online. Easiest Class Ever!!! No final. Just do the online tests, which are open book, turn in some easy questions about yourself, and thats it. He also gives you extra credit, which is easy. Easy class. Got an A.

Good teacher, took online health with him, you have to buy his book. Got a D because i failed to do the test (my fault), then i retook the class with him and got an A. Make sure you talk to him at his office and get help from him for any question before you turn in your papers beucase by doing this you can get an A ;) he lets you revise assignments

Pretty straight forward online course. Very organized and structured. At the beginning of class, you know exactly what is due - when and how. Very helpful. Recommended course.

VERY easy class. Took this class online and it's the best class every. I got a 102 percent and I did not try hard. Test is openbook. He gives a lot of extra credit and does not expect a lot from you. I faked my exercises btw.

Highly recommend this class!! As long as you read the book you will pass, the quizzes are easy and straight forward, the 5 introductory health projects even easier. Yes you have to buy the book brand new, get over it and buy it. Replies same day if you happen to have a question. Constant reminders of deadlines, there is no way you can fail.

Great online set up, and instructions are clear.

The structure this professor puts into his class makes everything very clear and easy to follow. You have to do you assignments and participate. This was online and everyone had to come to campus to turn an assignment in at his office or mail it which I found odd. But overall, when the expectations are clear it is hard to go wrong. I recommend.

It was my first EVER online class & I was a bit worried since I had never taken one before. Man this class was EASY, yet you learn. The reading is so easy to understand and if you forget anything you can always refer back to the book. The 5 projects assigned, MAN! they can be done in a day, ALL 5! If your thinking of taking this class DO IT!

This online class is simple. Read the text and answer the questions for the tests. There are simple extra credit projects. Textbooks must be purchased new, they include worksheets that you will mail to the teacher when you are finished with the assignments. Teacher encourages you to meet him and is quickly answers emails.

Great Professor! Follow all instructions and do your work you will get an A. Great course to take for UC credit. Only downside is that you have to buy the book new for about $65.

Online Course and very Straight forward. It was not difficult, but you must perform and get assignments in on time. He wrote is own Textbook, and it's filled with practical Health knowledge. You can't buy a used book, because you must mail-in, (registered mail), the 1st assignment, only. He Co-Starred in small roles on LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE.

Do the work before the deadlines, he gives you more than sufficient time for this and sends deadline reminders. Don't pass on the extra credit, I'm sure you won't need it, but the extra points are good to have. His book is very interesting. Grading criteria is easy, if you don't understand it, something's wrong with you. TAKE HIM, he's great : )

If you're thinking about taking his health 11 class.. Take it! I took his class because it was a part of my general ed. Took it in the summer. It wasn't overwhelming , it didn't up my whole summer. the only thing is you have to buy his book NEW. but it was only 60 $ it wasn't too bad . and his 5 projects are so so easy I finished ALL 5 in 1 day!

Super easy online class, we didn't even have a final. The tests were all multiple choice and basically open book. The only downside is that you are required to purchase his book, which was about $50. I probably will not use the book again and it is not resellable since you need to rip out a few pages for a class project. The class project was easy.

I took McBride in the summer and I actually learned a lot. Also was reminded of things I had already learned in the past. I learned as I read and did all his work online. I enjoyed doing the project he gave us at the end of the semester. The only way you won't pass is if you don't buy the book or do anything at all.

Excellent professor. Took him for Health 11 online and was able to finish all assignments in one day. He does give 5 Health introductory projects that MUST be mailed to him, so you have to buy the book. All quizzes are based on the reading, so you must read carefully. He does respond to emails.

He is my first online professor I ever took. Honestly, hes the greatest! He instantly replies to your message and always giving feedbacks and answering questions. The book is required. Quizzes and test are based off the book, but super easy! Do everything before the due date, which he always emails you reminders. But overall, totally RECOMMEND!

Took for summer. Easy A. Downside is book is required which is 70 bucks because you rip some pages but its helpful for the quizzes since another down is they cant be found on quizlet. Nonetheless they are still pretty simple you just have to flip through the pages. 20 questions 30 minutes. He is well in reminding when things are due.

The quizzes are very simple and easy understand when reading the book. The book is mandatory and is $70 bucks because you will need it for a project that's worth a lot but its very easy. Need to read and study the text book, The text book has lots of great information , the drawings and diagrams made it easy to understand the materials . I enjoyed being in the class, Professor McBride gives lots of reminders when something is due, he answered all my email promptly

Took this class online. it took me 4 days to finish it all! 4 quizzes based on first unit of book (each chapter is 6-8 pages). Then another 4 quizzes are opened up a month later for unit 2. same thing. And then 5 "projects" that are worksheets from book. EASY projects. Literally one sided pages- those took me about 1 hour to complete and then mail.

Dan Mcbride is a really amazing professor. His class is super easy, and although he makes it mandatory to get his book for the class, the work is really simple. an example is getting a health magazine article and writing about it on the project page in the book. his work is easy as long as you know the topic.

I learned a lot about the well-being of the human body while taking this class. When there was a concern that had arose suddenly, I had messaged him and he showed great empathy and was really kind about handling the situation. Overall, I would take his class again! Great Professor!

There are 5 health projects that are required, however, these projects are pretty simple and don't require much time to complete. When I had an issue present itself, Professor McBride responded in a caring and respectful manner and resolved the issue without any hesitance. Great professor, I would take him again!

Took this class online during Winter and it's easy. Textbook is required since it's needed to complete quizzes and health projects (total 8 quizzes + 5 health projects). It seems a lot but it's manageable. Don't worry! MAKE SURE you read/study the chapters at least once since quizzes are timed. Offers lots of extra credits and they're super easy!

Easiest course you can take, a lot of extra credit opportunities and he keeps you updated with all the resources happening at ELAC or health in general .

I took Health 11 online with Professor McBride, you do need to purchase his book for 5 projects that are simple. Basically defining words and answering about your own health. There are 8 quizzes which are not hard and can be done without the book (if you know you know) and 5 effortless bonus projects. Downside, his endless emails & "module format"

Professor Dan is such an amazing person, he is so intelligent and wants his students to succeed. He wrote his textbook, which is very informative about the human body and how we function, and health prevention. The homework and readings I found them to be very interesting. 10/10 take this professor!!!

Class was super easy. You do need to buy text book it is 90 dollars at student store. The class is 10 quiz's all off the text book. He opens up most quiz so if you want to finish early you can. Such a great thing if you like to get ahead. There is a 5 introductory assignment, it just a getting to know the student .

He is very kind and he sends lots of emails, you need to buy a textbook made by him very informative only at ELAC main campus worth $90 but use EOPS to get it for free. I took him for fall semester 10 quizzes multiple choice 20 questions worth 25 points timed and 5 projects very easy on student info from his textbook and additional one's.

Took this class online for the winter. This was asynchronous, and was easy to do assignments at my own pace. The book is required, in my opinion, you can try to google the answers but literally all of the answers are easier to find in the book. Trust me. Also, every assignment was really easy. If you want to, you can finish it all in a week.

You will pass as long as you turn everything in and if you have the specific textbook he made. Quizzes and assignments are easy, I personally liked that you can go at your own pace just as long as you turn everything in by the deadline. He does send a lot of emails though so beware of that.

Easy online class with a specific textbook needed for quizzes and assignments. Lots of emails, but manageable workload. unstuck ai could be a helpful study tool alongside the textbook.

Very easy class with minimal work. All you need is the textbook for the class to complete the 5 introductory projects in it, and also to read it and then take the 8 quizzes online. The professor is also very caring and nice. The only thing, though, is that he sends out lots of emails.
