Peter’s is one of the best English teachers I have had. This is a fun class with challenging work.

He always had my attention and kept me on my toes. The difficulty level isn't extremely hard but its hard enough to give you the right amount of challenge. Awesome teacher and most definitely recommended!

He has so many personalities when he teaches, it makes it really fun and comfortable to be in the class when your new.

Favorite teacher to this day. I was excited to come to his class every day. I loved it because we got to write about current issues, having the opportunity to read Thomas Freedman's book, "The World Is Flat". Thanks Instructor Peters.

He is the most amazing teacher ever. He cares about all of his students and he treats you like you're special. His class will change your life. If you like English, he's great. If you hate it he will make it a lot less painful.

Mr. Peters is so far my favorite teacher at the campus. He makes sure you know everyhthing you need to know to do wither your homework or write an essay. If you go to class and pay attention this class is for you!!

Dan Peters is so far one of my all time FAVORITES. He makes everything really interesting. He is crazy and energetic and keeps the class interested the entire time. Really good professor. Take English with him if at all possible.

I loved his class! I took 3 classes with him one that wasn't even required just because I've enjoyed it so much. I actually changed my major to English instead of business because I wanted to be as good of a teacher as him. Take his class!

I had peters for three classes. English 101, 102 and creative writing... I loved his teaching style. He keeps it fun and interesting. He is by far the best teacher at the school, and really cares about his students. If you want a good teacher, take a class from him. You wont regret the money spent or time spent in his class.

MR PETERS WAS GREAT! YOU CAN TELL THAT HE LOVES DOING WHAT HE DOES, HE INTERACTS WITH STUDENTS ON A MORE PERSONAL LEVEL THAN MOST. THE CLASS WAS ALWAYS FUN.

He is very energetic and really knows how to keep his students engaged and eager to learn. He's really helpful and truly cares about his students. Take any of his classes if you get the chance...you won't regret it!

Possibly the best professor out there! His class isn't like a class it's more of a hang out place but you learn SO much! If you like writing this is definitely for you! He makes it so clear and interesting. Makes you think of things in a whole new way. Great teacher, easy going and personal. Love him.

Mr. Peters is one of my all-time favorite teachers. You really can tell that he's passionate about what he does-it shows in every aspect of his work. I very highly recommend him to all my friends and fellow students. Had this class last year and he still waves and says hello in the hallway. Still remembers my name too! Truly an amazing person.

This was a fun class learned alot over the quarter and he was alot of help.

He is the best teacher when it come the Eng. He has really made this class very fun and really gets the class involved with topics. its not a hard class but his grading for papers is sorta but your able to redue them to get a higher score. awesome teacher and wish i had him for eng 101

By far the best professor at YVCC! He is very intelligent. Super passionate and you can tell he loves what he does. Takes time to invest in the students and gets the students to invest in one another. He still remembers my name and face and it's been over a year. And he is hot. So that's a plus!

He is a fun teacher and made things clear. Almost no homework, just reading chapters from books. Only thing is that he grades the essays hard. Bright side: he gave us cookies the last day of class.=)

Peters is so energetic and he really cares about his students. It's obvious he loves what he does. Plus he's super funny! He made me laugh every single class, and he remembers all of his students by name, even when he hasn't had them in a long time. His grading on papers is tough but everything else is easy, so it balances out. Highly recommend!

Mr. Peter's was one of the best English teachers I had, he's clear and helpful. He encouraged my writing skills, and gives great feedback. In English 101 you have 3 essays, one on the Hunger Games and two from True Grit. Unless he changes it :p Be ready to do peer editing in this class!

Mr. Peters class was amazing. I never have learned more in an English class. He's also a very easy going guy. In my 101 class we only did three essays although they were graded pretty strictly. I highly recommend him.

He was one of the best instructors I have had at YVCC. He is a very good teacher, and is interested in helping his students learn, not just getting them through the material. He encourages you to think outside the box and if you ever have questions, he's there to answer them. Take this class if you actually want to learn, not just get an easy A.

This man by far was the BEST TEACHER EVER!!!!! Trust me you will want to take him every qtr if you could. His lectures are amazing and work is easy. He is there if you don't get the assignments and he will help you. He has a very good sense of humor. I loved his class and I do not regret taking it. Dan Peters is freaking awesome! His passion for writing and literature is obvious and he strives to help his students succeed. Very organized, and tells you exactly what he is looking for in assignments. He loves interacting with his students and his fun personality makes the class time fly by! He has been my favorite teacher thus far at YVCC. Peters is a perfect mix of hardworking and fun. The class isn't easy; you definitely have to work for a good grade. But Peters makes it interesting and made me actually enjoy my writing assignments. There's quite a bit of reading and writing but it really was enjoyable with Peters.

If you need to take English or want to take English to expand your view, take Peters. He will always give feedback and will be willing to make time so you can write to the best of your ability. I could not recommend a person more who cares so much about his students and how they will improve for the future.

Peters is the kind of teacher you hope to get. Period. His classes will challenge you and you definitely need to work for your grade, but he keeps the material interesting and gives you a real chance to appreciate it for yourself. He is excellent with annotations and feedback and there are no unnecessary books or materials you'll waste money on.

By far my favorite professor. His class is an absolute blast, but don't slack off on your essays. He is a very tough grader. Essays are worth a lot of your grade, so if you want a good grade work hard when writing your essays. He is very interested cares about every student. If you work hard, you will get a good grade and have a blast doing so.

I took Peters first ever introduction to Shakespeare class. He is incredibly caring of his students grades and is very excited to learn every thing he has to say. I'm not sure when he will be offering this class again, but I highly recommend it. We had so much fun and the class was very interesting. All hail Macbeth!

I took Dan Peters for both 101 and 102 and left feeling as if I could write at a higher level. There are multiple small homework assignments that are to help build to the final essay projects. Everything is straightforward and very relatable.

An amazing professor. He is very caring and understanding. Dan is willing to help in any way he can. Dan pushes people to succeed and thrive. Dan keeps lectures and classes fun and interesting making you look forward to having a daily class.

Really liked his class. There was homework about every night but not a lot of them took that long. The only problem is that you have to be at class about every day, or it counts towards your grade. He has extra credit opportunities for it though. Really liked him overall, very funny and will help you out a lot if you need it. Totally recommend:)

Mr. Peters is a fantastic teacher, and I'd recommend him. He really takes the time to get to know his students, and make sure that they understand everything that's going on in class so they have the best chance to succeed. He is a strict grader, but his grading criteria is extremely clear, and you know exactly what he's looking for ahead of time.

I loved his class! I took him for both 101 and 102. He is very entertaining and teaches well. His 102 course is about AI and is a real eye-opener! He is a hard grader for the essays, so make sure you work hard on them and personally ask him for help. I enjoyed every second of the class. Definitely take him if you have the chance!

Out of my five years of college, incluidng University, Professor Peters is by far the most genuine, interesting, passionate, and inpsiring professor I've had. To this day I still have a joy from writing that came from his classes. I haven't stopped writing poetry from his creative writing class. He takes time to get to know his students.

Mr. Peters is the best professor I've ever had. I took his English 101, am currently taking his English 270, and am planning to take his English 102. He gives out a ton of homework, but usually it's pretty simple to finish. He helps everybody through the paper-writing process, and gives good feedback despite being a really tough grader. Dan Peters is very good at explaining each homework assignment. It's hard to miss an assignment due date because he's super informative. Really enjoyed our class on automation in ENGL 102

Incredible teacher that truly seeks to understand his students and support them. He helps as much as he can and provides good feedback that will help you in his class. I highly recommend taking him. Just be sure to be ready to do a lot of assignments, they dont take up all your time but be prepared to be dedicated.

I was a Running Start student and I loved his English 101 & 102 course, even took his Shakespeare class. The essays for English are pretty tough but he does give great feedback and helps you improve. Dont be intimidated, offers resources, great lectures and presentations.

I think Mr. Peters was a good professor for my English 101 class. The course wasn't super difficult and the only material required is 3 graphic novel books. When it comes to him grading essays, he can be a bit harsh when grading them and my class never averaged above a 90% on one the whole quarter.

I absolutely loved Mr. Peters! He was one of my favorite teachers I have ever had. He is so kind and very helpful. Don't hesitate to ask for help because he is more than willing to! He is also very funny and just has a great personality overall. I would definitely recommend taking him :)

Genuinely the best experience I have ever had with school in my life. His class was one of the only classes I came away from feeling like I had accomplished something worthwhile. It really shook up my expectations for what an English class can be, the content was stuff that is relevant, current, and useful for the modern day. Take this class.

He is an amazing teacher. I signed up for a different English teacher in my second quarter and I kind of regret doing so because Mr. Peters made the class so enjoyable. He is very knowledgeable and energetic and is extremely helpful.

Honestly this is how all professors should be! He was very knowledgeable the assignments were hard they are due every Friday and there are two main essays due in class for the whole quarter. He gives u alot of feedback on how to be a better writer and things to look out for,for the futures. Overall 10/10 professor

I have never felt the need to write a review until now. This may sound like brown-nosing, but it's anything but. Dan Peters is the BEST teacher I've ever had. He is so thoughtful with his teaching and so caring. you can tell when a teacher is passionate about what they're doing vs when they are just clocking into a job. Dan is the prior!

BEST TEACHER EVER!!! I took English 101 and 102 with Mr. Peters. He is very respectful, and caring. Though he gives a good amount of homework it is all due Friday at midnight and is very doable. The class has plenty of extra credit opportunities and is actually interesting. He also has a great sense of humor, I would DEFINITELY recommend him.

Mr. Peters was my first college English teacher, he is so nice and very understanding. The class is mainly about the Civil Rights Movement, he makes this subject very interesting. As a running start student I recommend this class. All though keep in mind he has homework every week that are all due on Friday and there is 3 essays in this class.

Dan Peters was one of my first college instructors & must have choice for all my English requirements. He did such a good job teaching us students I took his ENGL 222 SUR American Lit 1945-Present Spring 2012 & as a ELECTIVE! Tougher grader. Unsure if this is still true but he does not give A's for the course & essays. Just ask him before enrolling

Mr.Peters was fun

Dan Peters is one of the best professors I have ever had. He is the biggest humanitarian and kindest person I have ever met. His teaching style is demanding for some, but for me it was inspirational and helped me get the most out of the class. Take every single one of his classes you can get your hands on because it will be worth it.

He looks a lot like sandman from spider man!! Overall great professor! Has good humor and I enjoyed the class!

I've taken Dan Peters for ENGL&101 and 102, and he truly cares about your success as a student. His attitude towards learning is inspirational and motivating. He also makes the most hilarious dad jokes. I HIGHLY recommend taking him as an instructor!

Amazing professor that really loves his job and his students. Didn't drag politics into lectures, which was nice. Gave great feedback on my essays, pretty organized. Easy class, lots of choices for how you can present your projects for credit (I did a podcast), keeps it fun. Only needed to buy one book. Lots of extra credit opportunities.

Although I just took a high school english class last year, I learned a lot from this class. He explains things well and always there to answer questions. Gives really good feedback on essays. You'll write 2 essays (but have a lot of time to do so) and a third short response about what you've learned throughout the quarter + easy daily assignment.

Professor Peters is one of the best professors I have had so far. He clearly loves teaching and cares about his students. I took his ENGL 101 and Intro to Shakespeare this past year and loved both classes. He is a fair grader, very helpful if you have any questions, and leads incredible class discussions.

No Final, very easy class and good professor

I loved his English 101 class, he made it very easy for us to write a structure essay and also be engaged with the class. Same follows for his 102 class but if you're into AI and more project based work then you'll love it. Currently he's doing “grade bundles” instead of grading the papers to allow everyone to be more open with their writing.
